Only bother is toilets are very low to the ground so if you're tall or have long legs it's a bit. Wish they had put in taller toilets but that's a 1st world problem. Staff was great.

I don't understand how this place has so many 5 star ratings. While the outdoor amenities are nice, and the location is good, our room itself was honestly disgusting. The sheets were dirty, there was mold building behind the sink, the bathtub had rust stains, toilet seat was stained, and there was paint chipping everywhere. Whole family was ready to get out first thing on our checkout day.

The property is right at the coast, so it's in a beautiful location. They are welcoming of pets, and even provided a little goody bag for my dog. The sliding door of our room opened onto the patio with the fire pits, dog park, and a paved walking area that leads to the beach or the bridge. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.

We had a pet friendly 2-queen kitchenette on the bottom floor. Check-in is easy, and the location of this hotel cannot be beat. Walking along the haul road with immediate access to the Bluffs and open Ocean views is the main attraction of this place, along with the thoughtful seating area with fire pits. Access is easy via parking immediately outside your room, and our room in particular was ample spacious. The one criticism I have is that the bathroom floor was not entirely clean. However, for being a pet friendly room, I was very pleased.

This is one of my favorite places to visit, not just the area but your establishment specifically. I absolutely love it here. The view and access to the amazing coast line, with a beach and a bluff that just a a few feet away from away rooms patio/balcony is perfection. Plus you are located just out of town so it is quiet. The rooms are comfortable. It is close to multiple resturants and activities to enjoy Fort Bragg. OR just sit and watch the amazing coast (maybe see some whales migrate depending on the time of year) from your room. This is has been my go to spot over the last ten years to get away and decompress. Thank you, I will be back soon!

The toilet seat was broken. It was difficult to find a bar soap because it didn’t exist. I had to buy a bar of soap. The walls were very thin. We could hear the people in the room next to us, which was unfortunate because they argued and fought all night keeping us up. We eventually banged on the wall and they quieted it down. Fireplace was useless and the plumbing on the tub was broken.

Obviously the gorgeous location is almost everything about this place but the room matched it very well. The bed was one of the more comfortable hotel beds I’ve slept on in a while. My only complaint was that there were some elderly people who didn’t understand that our patio space was somewhat personal. They chose to repeatedly walk along from patio space to patio space rather than along the obvious walkway on the other side of the wall. Maybe some signage? I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Fort Bragg from now on.

Our stay at the Beachcomber Motel was overall relaxing and enjoyable. The view from our 2nd floor room was amazing…when standing up. Unfortunately the Adirondack chairs provided on the balcony are so low, we had to look through the railing when sitting down. The amenities were great and the staff were awesome. Our only other comment would be to upgrade those toddler height toilets to at least standard adult height. The location was good and we appreciated being outside of Mendocino, but close enough to go back and forth daily. We would definitely there again.

Wife and I stayed here for one night on our road trip and was probably our favorite stay. Got to explore the city and stayed right on the beach which made for a perfect sunset watch & sunrise walk. Staff was quick to check us in and helpful with where to go eat, very kind. Room and restroom were great size & very clean. Parking lot was a good size, not applicable to me but did notice EV charging. Overall very comfortable stay, would recommend staying here with confidence.

There should be maintenance available on Sunday, which is the day we arrived and there was an electrical problem and no one to fix it until the next day. Even though it was not an ADA room, the bathroom was so small you could barely turn around and there was nothing to hold on to when getting into the shower not even a towel rack. I would definitely stay again based on the hotel location, access to beach, views, firepits, PET-FRIENDLY with a dog park, and overall nice hotel. Only complaint, which made me give four instead of five stars, is that there was no maid service between days to refill coffee, fresh towels, etc. And, the parking lot was ridiculously tight and crowded with TINY spaces.

It was just ok. The real problem is you can hear other guest at early morning hours! My friends that were traveling with us had a $6000 charge that was traced to Beachcomber Motel. They had paid for stay with their credit card at Motel. I was concerned that my credit card could also be compromised, but the front desk said, that since I used a 3rd party to book I needn’t worry! She wasn’t very contrite about the issue and I will not book a stay there ever again.

The location gets 3 stars and housekeeping staff.
The check in is supposed to be at and after 3 pm. We arrived a little after 3 pm and were told that our room was not ready and would take about 30 more minutes. No problem, we can wait.
45 minutes goes by. No call or text from the staff. We go back, staff member helping us said that it would be 10-15 minutes more, but gave us keys. The funny thing was that the room was ready all this time. How do we know, we were parked right in front of it. Not sure if it is miscommunication between front desk and housekeeping staff or something else.
