L'Escala Resort is a modern complex of apartments located in the idyllic fishing village of L'Escala, on the Costa Brava. The complex offers you the exclusivity of staying in your own fully equipped apartment and enjoy our installations and garden, equipped with seven little swimming pools.

In all apartments you will find a kitchen-living room, a bathroom, a terrace or private garden and a room or two, depending on your needs. All apartments have air conditioning and are equipped with sheets, towels and basic utensils for a pleasant stay.

Situated on Catalonia's beautiful Costa Brava, L'Escala Resort is a 15-minute walk from Riells Beach, and 20 minutes from the centre of L'Escala, a typical fishing town. The Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres is a 30-minute drive away.


Located in L'Escala, L'Escala Resort is a 4-minute drive from The Site and 8 minutes from Empuries. This aparthotel is 7.6 mi (12.2 km) from Castle of Montgri and 11.1 mi (17.8 km) from Estarit Beach.

We stayed here for a month last year, enjoyed it. This year we requested our old apartment, we are not spring chickens. The. One we were given was about as far away as you can get. The decking on the terrace was in places rotting, so much i caught my foot and pulled a side muscle, i complained about this, it was repaired straight away. It seems the place is becoming very tired. I would like to say i would return , but i will not be.

Although it's not close to the beach, it's in a nice quiet area of town. It's a pity the pools are extremely tiny...almost private for each building and not all buildings have one so even though we stayed for three weeks we couldn't use one at all.

These are great for an extended stay. Washer/dryer, large fridge/freezer, plenty of room and a large sliding glass wall. Seven shared pools for the heat. Twenty minutes walk from the beaches.

The resort is located at the edge of the town. The highway runs adjacent to it. Although supermarket like Aldi and carfour are in a walking distance but there is no close place to have coffee or drink except McDonald. Beach is at least 30 minutes walk. There is no public transportation to the resort. The apts are spacious and clean. But the supplies in the kitchen are limited. We had to ask the office to give us toaster and kettle. They gave them to us and they wanted to make sure to return them before we leave because it is not customary to have these in the apt. Also the coffee maker works only with their own coffee that they sell in the office. No basic supply like salt, pepper, no dish washer or clothe washing machine detergents. The big bedroom has a big closet and mirror but so many empty walls without a single small table to put small items and vanity. The bathroom is little small in comparison to the size of the apt and only one bathroom for 2 bed room apt. The apartments on the side of the street are below street level. Apartment have patio and table and chairs for eating but inside the apartment stayed dark and we always had lights on. We booked family suite. The apts that faced the pool looked much brighter and a lot of glass. But apparently cost more. The pool is small and nice. But it is shallow. Children 10 and older would not want to swim long. The garden is nice.

Nice place to stay

We booked an apartment on a ground floor with a garden.
It was a pretty quite place while our stay.
The apartment is big enough, the kitchen is well equipped with the most required things needed for everyday needs, some of them can be in better condition.
The reception staff was very nice and courteous.
The key acceptance process was quick with explanations required.
Later, we received help from them in orientation and recommendations for interesting places in the area.
A safe in the room could be used for an extra charge.
Nearby is a big supermarket.
It was possible to find parking on the adjacent street or a short walk away.

We arrived when the office was closed but we called them in advance to let them know and they sent to us all the instructions to access our apartment. There is free parking outside the building. The apartment looks exactly as the photos on the web. It was clean and big. We will come back.

Classy stay in Sorrento

The young female staff is probably the nicest and most helpful person in all of the hotel's we went to. She spent time with us to give us really good advice and was very accommodating. The room was immaculate, with free coffee and drink, large and lovely bathroom. Location is also super convenient, within walkable distance into the food and attractions. One down side is if you have a car, it costs 15 euros per night to park. All in all it was a really great place to stay.

Dirty, flooded bathroom, terrible customer service

We initially loved the space, which was quite spacious and modern, that we added another night to our three-night stay after arriving. But on our second morning, the bathroom sink, which had been draining slow since our arrival, refused to drain and the toilet wouldn't flush. The toilet wasn't clogged - the tank just wouldn't fill with water to flush. A guy came to fix it and in the process disgusting clogged sink water flooded the bathroom. We then called to have them clean. The housekeeper \"cleaned\" by taking used towels on the bathroom floor to wipe up the water. No soap, no mop. She then took other towels that the plumber had placed on the bathroom trash can back on the sink. No cleaning of the sink vanity, either, which had also been flooded with dirty water. We went to the office to complain and asked if there was something they could do to make up for the inconvenience, since we'd spent our morning trapped in the room since we couldn't access the bathroom to get ready to leave. The clerk was unconcerned, said \"No, there is nothing.\" No apology even. If she couldn't discount the room, she could at least have offered a free bike rental or some coupons. At the very least apologized. We ended up canceling our last night there because if that's the way housekeepers \"clean\" rooms, then we didn't feel anything was clean at all! Also, I wouldn't recommend L'Escala itself to anyone coming from abroad.

Very modern, comfortable apartments

L'Escala Resort is perfect for a short break, particularly out of high season when prices are amazing value. You do need a car however. The sea front of L'Escala is beautiful and there are lots of interesting places nearby.

We stayed 4 nights in pre-season, for a special offer price. Good room with small kitchen, fully equipped. Small swimming pool nearby. Wifi available but at additional cost. Table and chairs at balcony not clean and not comfortable, used own chairs. Several grocery stores nearby. Very good room, certainly at the special price.

we loved everything about L'escala resort. we arrived at L.Escala at midnight with no sat nav and with one call to the resort someone came and escorted us to the apartments. this was the start of a wonderful stay, nothing too much trouble, will definitely go back.

Clean apartment and a certain amount of privacy. Services unclear, however there was always someone at reception who spoke English. Not a hotel, but a series of apartments - ground and first floor. No food available, but plenty of local restaurants and there are 2 supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Wifi was weak and I feel should have been included.

le batiment par lui meme,est peu sympathique, une enfilade de logement , tres béton!!
le logement N° 36 allée G, est trés grand , les piéces sont spacieuses, mais il y a un gros probléme:
l'appartement se trouve en rez de chaussée, les piéces sont en enfilades ,sur le devant , l'entrée , il y a une terrasse couverte, le souci , en cette saison , pas de soleil et de lumiére, vous utilisez constamment la lumiére . ce n'est pas trés gai !!
je me serais mal vu ; rester plusieurs jours en ces lieux
Mais le principal souci , est la literie, sur la photo , celui çi parait du type \"king size\", mais le matelas , c'est une vraie horreur ,les ressorts ont mal viellis, en plus quand vous bougez , vous les entendez gémir!!!ils sont solidaires!!
En cette saison , peu fréquentée, vous pouvez stationner facilement , à coté du logement , gratuitement .
en pleine saison , il n'y aura pas de places pour tous .
En résumé, ne vous attendez pas à un logement idyllique;
ce n'est pas cher , vous en avez pour votre argent , mais ça ne vous laissera pas un souvenir mémorable

Bien apartamento pero con cosas a mejorar

El apartamento estaba limpio, mantenimiento bueno, recepción agradable, se aparca sin problemas, cerca de la playa. Aire acondicionado en todas las abitaciones (para mi imprescindible).

Los jardines son maravillosos, muy bien cuidados. Las piscinas muy tranquilas y limpias pero hay demasiados insectos (avispas, mosquitos, etc) que casi imposible disfrutas de ellas.

Como negativo creo q deberían poner medidas para controlad los insectos del jardín.

El salón no tenía contra cortina, para dormir en el sofá cama había demasiada luz. Deberían poner las contracortinas (estaban loos railes pero no la cortina)

De nouveau un excellent séjour de 3 semaines après celui de 15 jours de l'année passée.
Les appartements sont spacieux et bien organisés (j'ai toujours pris les appat en terrasse). Le personnel est agréable et serviable, de la réception jusqu'aux femmes d'entretien à qui j'ai une pensée particulière. Secteur calme, aucune nuisance. Il faut parfois rappeler les bonnes règles de voisinage et tout s'arrange.
Recommandation à la direction: il faudra envisager de penser à une renovation approfondie. Il serait dommage de voir une belle affaire comme celle ci se degrader encore plus.

La entrada fue toda una odisea. No funcionaba la máquina de hacer el check in y no se preocuparon de hacernos una llamada para avisarnos q dejaban un candado en la puerta del apartamento con las llaves, así q nos tuvieron a las 12 de la noche cansados del viaje y con frío metiendo los datos en la máquina mucho rato.

Très grand complexe

Logement très spacieux, prévu pour 4 personnes. Très grand lit, confortable. Cuisine équipée correctement, vaisselle minimale pour 4. Nous n'avons pas réussi à faire marcher la plaque à induction.
Les piscines extérieures sont minuscules alors que le complexe est tres grand. Nous nous sommes garés dans la rue, aucun parking ne nous a été proposé. En saison, les places doivent être chères.

Es un lugar tranquilo, se puede aparcar en los alrededores; desde el que se puede ir caminando al centro pueblo, supermercado, playa. Con todas las comodidades de un aparthotel.

L'appartement est grand et fonctionnel mais n'est pas insonorisé. Dans l'appartement à côté des jeunes ont fait la fête toute la nuit jusqu'à 4h du matin. Ils ont même cassé la porte vitrée de leur appartement avec bruit et fracas. Nous n'y retournerons pas car l'été cela doit etre pire. Dommage car l'appartement est bien et la personne à la réception gentille.

Also die Unterkunft war sicher mal schön,als sie neu war. Grundsätzlich sah das Zimmer auch aus wie auf den Fotos. Bloß seeehr in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist auch alles da,was man braucht aber auch wirklich kein bisschen mehr.
Sehr nervig war,dass das heiße Wasser zum Duschen immer nur gerade so für eine Person gereicht hat. Dann war es eiskalt. Ansonsten waren wir sehr froh,in der oberen Etage gewohnt zu haben. Gab uns ein sicheres Gefühl.

Ya hemos estado un par de veces en términos generales es todo más o menos aceptable..pero sombras y luces....el sitio está bien ubicado y los jardines con piscinas don maravillosos,se agradecería más control sobre las normas,los niños no tienden a respetarlas y los padres no tienden a educar en el respeto.el estado de las viviendas por el contrario cada vez se ven peor,el mantenimiento no se lleva de forma adecuada,los aires acondicionados tienen moho,las duchas solo cuentan con cortinas viejas raídas y sucias igualmente las siliconas y los platos de ducha,el agua va fatal o fría o ardiendo incluso a la vez!!! Las luces son bombillas al aire,incomprensible no poner unas tulipas o lámparas con luz agradable ...el colchón es un despropósito se puede dormir en el pero no bien,son de muelles antiguos y deformados,es raro que unos apartamentos tengan lavavajillas y otros no,no es importante pero también cambian los tamaños de las neveras y ni te cuento de su estado alguna carece de soportes en las puertas para botellas etc..ninguno! Eso es que se rompen y no reponen..por otro lado el estado de las maderas de la terraza es peligroso los raíles están podridos y las tablas se rompen...vamos que lo que deja que desear es el mantenimiento y la tención a los detalles. Aún así la ubicación y el lugar me encanta...ellos son muy amables y serviciales y las piscinas y jardines están muy bien mantenidos

Tres grand lit et espace cuisine tres appreciable. Le logement est bien. A part la salle de bain trop vieillotte avec un miroir tres abîmé.
Menage tous les 3 jours.

Difficile de prendre la douche quand ca fait chaud froid en permanent. Mon logement etait côté rue pres d'une poubelle avec du passage ce qui empeche davoir ton intimité.

Attention l'ensemble du complexe est non fumeur meme sur ton emplacement.

Un séjour bien sympathique

Un séjour très agréable dans des appartements à proximité des sites touristiques.
L'appartement était propre, spacieux, bien équipé.
Par contre, ce n'était pas bien insonorisé. Personnellement, cela n'est pas un problème.
Selon les personnes, il faut en tenir compte.
Nous avons apprécié les petites piscines derrière les appartements.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Das Doppelzimmerappartement ist sehr geräumig, hatte eine kleine Küchenzeile mit großem Kühlschrank und Gefrierschrank. Die Terrasse oben war ebenfalls spitze.

Kleiner Punktabzug bei der Sauberkeit im Bad und für die Außenfassade, die dringend dampfgestrahlt gehört.

Wir haben und wohl gefühlt.

Très bien ou presque

Très bon accueil au fil du séjour, et avec toutes les interlocuteurs.
Endroit très calme en périphérie de L'Escala.
La résidence est très calme (en juin) et sûrement grâce au respect des résidents eux-mêmes.
Les appartements sont spacieux et fort bien pourvus.
Un rafraîchissement s'imposerait tout de même.
Le seul bémol c'est le manque d'intimité pour chacun.
