amazing hotel , I was there with my children and felt safe , the staff was amazing and very responsive to anything we needed , truly a great place to stay the vacation in mazatlan ,,,, very quiet despite being on ocean view ,,, and the reason why I loved it even more is because they are pet friendly and allowed my dog stay with me and it was great .

The only positive aspect of this hotel was the view. Unfortunately, everything else was a disappointment. The room and bathroom were extremely dirty, and the towels were in an unacceptable condition. One night, during a thunderstorm, rain leaked into our room. We called the front desk, and they said they would see if someone could go check the room, but no one ever came. The Wi-Fi was also consistently unreliable throughout our stay. Overall, both the service and quality of this hotel were very poor, and I would not recommend it.

The noise from the condensers made it impossible to sit outside on the tiny balconies or sit by the pool. There was two of us but only one chair for the balcony. Very small room. Maid service left us one water everyday. No face clothes. Staff were very good but I would not recommend staying here.

The rooms are small than what they appear online pay attention to the square footage.. They charge 250 pesos for each person for day passes to the pool, if you had anyone come that isn’t on your reservation.. The service was good but it is an older hotel and needs some updates.

The staff was friendly, and the room was nice enough. Upon checking in, I asked where the pool was located because I really wanted to cool off, but they told me the swimming pool was out-of-service. I feel this should have been communicated pre-booking, and if that wasn't possible, a discount offered at check-in. This is a pretty major issue in the Mazatlan heat, and since they use a beautiful photo of their pool as the main hotel image on Hotels.com.

4th visit here. It is our Pit Stop on our way down and back to Rincon de Guayabitos.
Dog Friendly. Beach across the street. I had an issue in December here as they did not have my reservation even thought it was paid in advance thru Expedia with Cc Not happy but the professionalism of Maria certainly made the difference of coming back here. Maria checked us in again on our return trip 3/11. She assisted us with several request. As long as she is here we will continue to return.

This is our second time staying at Coral Island Hotel. We chose to stay there this time brcause of our previous experience with them. I was surprised to find out the restaurant only offers breakfast and not dinner anymore, which changed our plan a bit but we were able to walk the Malecon and find something to eat. My one and only disappointment was fiding roaches in our room. I am allergic to them and this was a major disappointment when we found a few in the bathroom and two more in the room.

The check-in took an hour even though we paid in advance through Expedia which made us miss the sunset. The phone in our room didn’t work (the cable was cut) so I had to come back to the reception to ask for the wifi password. But there is no password!! So not very safe to use. Also had to come back to the reception to ask for a parking pass even though we asked for one earlier. There was a lethargic raccoon next to the reception. The elevators were halfway working.

Last time I stayed here was in 2013, it was decent. This time it overall it was just bad and will not stay again, beds were awful and not comfortable at all and blankets are cheap. Customer service is bad, the lady that checked me in was rude. Also went in for their breakfast buffet at the hotels restaurant and it did

Check in was easy. Pet friendly service was easy. They gave us a room with a slightly bigger entry because we had pets. It was a little difficult seeing the entrance to go down to parking garage but other than that everything was a breeze. Nice clean good size rooms. Beds were ok.

It also is close to the aquarium and baseball stadium.

Overall with Expedia air travel the price was quite reasonable and the people on the staff were generally very friendly and helpful. In the evening when the pool was still open after the pool side waiters had gone off duty trash would accumulate from guests incapable of finding a wastebasket and there were watchmen standing around doing nothing outside the entrance who could have easily picked it up. But the pool by day was a real asset.

The room was fine although the plastic toilet seats were flimsy. Two light bulbs were not working when we arrived but they quickly remedied that. So it's a little rough around the edges but a good deal.

Terrible customer service. Was will to pay extra to check in 45min early and they were not willing to let me check in early. Restroom sink was filled with sand. There was a dead cockroach in the hallways and it was never picked up.

The hotel did not look like it did in the pictures, but was decent. Not happy with our room as we had to keep our curtains closed the whole time because our view was the elevator. Since we were in front of the elevator it was quite noisy. The pool was very small. The hotel staff was for the most part very helpful.

I psid for an ocean view room, and you couldnt see the ocean from the window. You had to go out onto the patio, and stand right next to the railing to see the ocean. They had options for partial ocean view, but i specifically did not choose that one. Other than that, it was a fine stay, no breakfast included.

The room was ehhh okay i guess, the sliding door in my room wouldnt close, the building itself does look pretty old especially the elevator it will close on you even if your in the middle of it , it happened twice to my husband. Not one to complain, but would be selfish of me not to share my experience. The service was very poor. Upon arriving sheets AND pillow case had a blood stain. They didn’t offer to do anything to help - I had to convince them. Then woke up with bed bug bites. Still they didn’t do anything to help. They wouldn’t let us change rooms... Seems like they just care about money.

Otherwise, decent hotel with nice pool and restaurant.

We got to Mazatlán earlier than planned and asked if we could do an early check in (check in was at 3pm) they said we could for 600 pesos more ($30usd) or we could come back at 1 to check if any rooms were available for free early check in. We denied paying more for early check in. We checked back at 1, 1:30, and 2. The lady wouldn’t even check to see if rooms were available. We ended up checking in at 3. I just don’t see how they had rooms available for early check in only if I paid the extra charge. The ac didn’t work in the room but we didn’t say anything about that naciste there was a nice breeze that would come in from the balcony.
