We gained a traveler last minute and the front desk staff was so helpful in giving us an option for a larger room. Even with a busy check in, the staff was helpful and efficient. Housekeeping was great at getting us extra linens and towels. The shuttle service couldn’t have made our stay easier. The hotel and room were clean and nicely renovated. We will definitely stay here again when in Houston for the stock show and rodeo.

My mother tripped over the very high speed bumps in the parking lot as she was going into the building. We spent most of the night in the ER which xray results showed she fractured her arm by her shoulder. The security guard was the only individual who asked how she was and that was because he was outside when it happened. No follow up. Watch out for the speed bumps!!

Thought we got a great deal until we got there & was charged $25 for "self parking", they wanted $10 pp for their "available breakfast" and there was NO recliner in the room as was advertised.
Coffee available at breakfast for $4.00 they would gladly charge to you're room. Also, 2 bottles of "complimentary" water, if you belonged to their "Hilton" club.

The staff was fantastic! Check-in was fast and the hotel looks updated and well kept. My only concern was that the tap water smelled heavily like sulphur. Not certain if it was a hotel issue or city issue. Great stay overall!

We booked a king bed on Expedia and we got a double queen, which was not ideal for me and my husband. We ended up sleeping in separate beds because the queen was too small and the beds were uncomfortable. This hotel seemed like it was a great location for those needing proximity to the medical center buildings nearby. We were not there for those reasons. The room was just okay and the smoking area for the hotel is outside by the front doors, so you have to walk through smoke to get in and out. I would not stay here again.

We checked in for one day but I really wish I had another hotel. First parking was confusing, I was told no parking on property but I can park in the parking lot behind (which is actually for another hotel) .. they gave me validation which was not even recognized by security in the parking lot.
Anyways after check in at around 9:30ish and parking our car in the deck next door .. we came to our room and now our bathroom not flushing properly (super frustrating) … we told the staff who couldn’t change our room but promise to fix the bathroom .. we agreed and went outside .. upon returning which was close to 3am in the morning and bathroom was not fixed. We were told another ticket will be issued and maintenance comes at 6:30am .. what is the point .. we need to use bathroom now .. again super frustrating.
Then at 8:30am in the morning, we had to knock on the door .. what is the point ? We were checking out .. very frustrating and unbelievable service by Hilton .. I honestly expected better service and quality by Hilton.
I was offered free breakfast (which I politely declined) and parking fee was waived but then again I was told we validate parking and park behind in the parking lot .. lots of incorrect information .. very frustrating day due to Hilton’s lake of service .. please bring your game up or customers have better options.

We have been staying at this property at least twice a year since 2021. On our last two visits, about 6 months apart from eachother, the kitchen in the room was absolutely filthy. Used dishes that had not been washed, sticky counter and cabinets, pieces of food in silverware… The bathroom doors were also sticky. It was as if only the linens and towels were changed, the carpets vaccumed, with everything else left unkempt and dirty. We are considering other hotels for our upcoming stay. It is a shame, since we really loved staying at the Doubletree, but the last two experiences were such a disappointment that we believe it is time to move on. We have no idea what changed in the hotel’s administration, but they certainly do not care to fix the cleanliness issue, since we reported it the first time, gave them the benefit of the doubt by booking the hotel once again, just to experience the same problem. We hope to find a nice substitute hotel for our recurring travels to the Houston Medical Center.

Shower control fixture was completely broken off and missing. When we brought the issue to the attention of the night shift front desk agent, we were told no one was around to fix it. We were given cleaning supplies to clean the tub ourselves so we could take baths. There was also electrical work happening that next day, so the hotel lost power at 10:00 AM. We were told we would be contacted about our experience but no one has contacted us as of Friday, July 4th.

The staff were all very friendly, professional, and supportive, especially considering the majority of guests are also patients at MD Anderson. We loved our little junior suite and will definitely try to get a larger room next time. The only downside was that the shower leaked water all over the floor in the bathroom.
