The room looked like an old hotel, there was dust particles on the night stands next to the bed, behind the nightstands there was crumbs and dust which was completely visible. The bed sheets had hair and lint in it. There was crumbs and dirt along the edges of the box spring and frame. You can visibly see it. When you open up the bed sheets. There was stains on the carpet. The shower pressure was low. The extra door lock on the room was loose. There were stains on the walls and ceiling.

We went to front desk and asked to switch rooms. The lady was kind and gave us keys without hesitation. We went to the next room on the other side of the hotel and this room was the same way. But to add some of the lights in that room were flickering like they needed to be changed so I went back to front desk and told them I’ll just keep the same room.

I’d thought I’d sit in the hot tub in the pool area, but the hot tub only had 5inch of water in it, there was a garbage can next to it full of pink insulation sticking out of the can. Which is a safety hazard to have that open where people walk by to try to enter the pool. The elevator wasn’t working. I had lots of luggage with me because I was flying back home in the morning. None of this was showing on the pictures when I booked my room. It did not say the place was under renovations.
I would have switched hotels, but I didn’t have the extra money to check into another hotel plus to be moving my luggage at night, I had an early flight

I have stayed in a Ramada / Wyndham hotels over the years. This one definitely does not meet the standards of Ramada / Wyndham. The hotel was nothing like the advertised pictures. Did not get the King room we booked as no water in the king rooms. only one entrance into building was told to go up stairs and we would find our room. did not tell us we had to go out fire door walk deck, in fire door then find room. the entrance /exit door by our room had all the key control wiring cut out so it was unusable. always had to walk the whole building to get to room. Rooms & whole hotel were very dated and nothing looks repaired or upgraded in a very long time. The hotel just has a junky look and feel to it. next time I will defiantly look for a different hotel to stay at. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE

Terrible experience. One of our rooms wasn’t made, another was occupied by someone else. They have NO CLUE which room is occupied and isn’t. The rooms had a foul smell like mould, cigarettes and alcohol mixed together. No elevator. The heaters don’t work, so we all froze at night.

They post pictures like it’s an amazing place to stay, but it’s the furthest from that. Please don’t book here’s wish I could give zero stars.

Location of the Property is on a corner, near highway. Hard to exit place on a busy day as its one direction only. No elevator. so be difficult if carrying lots of luggage to 2nd floor. Hallway was like walking into a freezer. My room door had a gap. Bottom of door and carpet. Which had to use a towel to keep draft out and bed was near door. Odd setup. Tv was outdated and lack of channels. furnace outdated. &opposite site of room so took awhile to heat up. But overall room was a place to rest. i just expected better. Photos are from a video i did. Always photos/ video of room before any stay anywhere.

Place is a dump stay away. Thick build up around edges. Poor housekeeping seen them sweep a room not once seen a vacuum. They are to lazy to clean under elevated chair. Towels stained don't even smell like they used bleach to clean them . If your desperate then stay I had them move me to another room was little better and talked to others and they say same thing. One good thing is restaurant that is attached is very good

This was a Motel not a Hotel 2 floors, no elevator. No cancelations, should have been a ted flag.

No security, the front doors where broken and didn't close, they constantly left the doors open to the other half of the Motel walkways. We went with children, should not have taken them.

The halls and room where super outdated with sinks that didn’t drain, stains on the carpets, dirty towles, broken furniture and broken plugs.

Looked at the reviews after we arrived, sould have looked before booking.

We checked in at 11:30 pm and the front desk worker didn’t speak much English. We managed to get checked in barely. It was minus 1 C outside and the heater wasn’t on in the room so it was very cold. I turned the heater on and it started putting heat off but eventually stopped. The room was freezing and we had no one to deal with it. The bathroom door had a hole punched in it and it was filled in with drywall compound and not even smoothed out and had a creepy smiley face painted on it. The shower was dirty and moldy and the shower curtain rod was barely hanging on the wall. The continental breakfast was non existent and based on the cleanliness of the hotel we chose timmy’s instead. I might have gotten three hours of broken sleep the whole night as I was freezing. Overal it was terrible and wouldn’t recommend.

Carpenter ants in my first room. Flies in the next room. This hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Halls, carpet, paint is all beat up and dated. Stairs were dangerous. Oddly, the bathroom was in nice shape and the bed was comfortable, after I pulled it apart looking for bed bugs. I could have stayed at the SandMan down the road for and extra $20 a night. Bruised apples for fruit at the continental breakfast. South asian ownership on full display. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The original room we were given had an awful smell and was generally just dirty from the window sills to the bathroom. We complained and asked for a new room, the receptionist informed us that there was no more king rooms left, but ultimately upgraded us to the Honeymoon Suite free of charge. Honeymoon Suite was cleaner and didn’t have a smell to it. Staff was helpful but rooms were not great.

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever had, I’ve stayed in many hotels in developing countries, and this place was worse than all of them.
First room fire alarm looked like it had caught fire and was beeping constantly, immediately changed to a different room because the front desk couldn’t change the battery.
New room- Room was dirty, mold spots in corners from an obvious flood, half the electrical outlets didn’t work, the heater was broken, coffee machine/room had no cups, blow dryer was broken, bathroom light flickered like a rave, room was freezing due to no heat, cracked and burnt flooring, textured walls full of holes that they sloppy mudded over, walls had questionable stains on them, bed horribly uncomfortable, pillows were horrible, there was running water, so I’ll give them that as a plus. Room only had 2 towels (there’s four of us) asked for two more on way to pool, they only had one. Hot tub was empty of water, pool was dirty, had garbage and random things floating in it, plus it was freezing. Hallway on way to pool looks to have had a pipe burst and they just covered the holes with gravel… room service never came after our first night so had to ask for more towels at end of day two to shower, once again front desk only has one clean towel (our three from yesterday have pool chlorine on them). Was afraid to ask to change rooms as the people at the counter when we swam had full ashtrays and garbage in their room at check-in.

Room was dingy, wallpaper peeling off under the heater and looked like some mold under the peeled back wall paper, tub coating was chipped off all over, shower head sprayed water from where it attaches to the water pipe, bathroom door has mismatched paint and paint fingerprints , tub didn’t drain very well and there were long black hairs all over sink, tub and even in one of the towels. sheets did not appear clean and had stains. Room keys had to be reprogrammed multiple times.
Continental breakfast was cold cereal, yoghurt and frozen breakfast sandwiches.
I was too busy to switch to another hotel otherwise I would have. Do not recommend! Overpriced and not clean.

We booked 2 rooms for our group. Our room was ok considering the price-point paid. However, the toilet in our travelling companions room did not work. They were moved to another room in which the ceiling was infested with BLACK MOLD - let alone the health risk, this room's appearance was completely UNACCEPTABLE. Our friends moved back to the original room where I ended up having to do make-shift repairs on the toilet. Not ideal but at least we got the toilet operating.

There appeared to be a lot of water damage throughout the building (with some renovations in progress). This motel should be closed until all renovations are completed. At a minimum, a Health and Safety inspection should be performed of all rooms by the appropriate government agency.

Upon arrival, they told us the honeymoon suite we booked months prior wasn’t available and did not make any attempt to contact me ahead of time so I could make other arrangements. They tried to put us in an alternate room that the floor had been jackhammered at the entrance, was missing furniture, the curtains were very dirty, and just was not the standard I had expected to be paying for. When speaking with who I assumed was the manager about a reasonable solution, he began yelling at me, despite the fact that - although very frustrated - I was remaining very calm throughout the ordeal. It seems that this property is running a scam - letting rooms but they are certainly not what is expected, if you get one at all. My friends had no water in their room. DO NOT book at this hotel. I am not a disgruntled customer wishing to leave a vengeful review. This is a cautionary tale.

Looks great from the ap and the outside of the building. First room smelt bad like cigarette smoke (room 115) she switched us to another room (117) and it smelt fine. Hallway had a huge hole under the carpet in the concrete. Looks like the floor is caving in from a sink hole. Our room had extra furniture in it that protruted out from the wall making it difficult to get into the bathroom. If you had a wheel chair or disability it would have been a no go to get in there at all. 2 remotes no batteries. Curtains were not black out as stated. Curtains had rips in them. The room was very dark but due to poor lighting. Def not clean crisp and bright like the photos. Window had no locks and huge cracks. I thought our room would be inside the actual hotel but we were off in some sort of other crack head wing. The door to our wing didn't lock properly, the hallways smelt bad and there was some dead looking Doode blocking our door in the morning we could not even get out. I know Abbotsford has alot of homeless people and the government pays for them to live there but I would expect you would keep your customers away from them. Like I said I thought our room would be INSIDE the hotel.

Room had definitely been neglected as the bathroom faucet had been poorly installed and had a large gap into the wall visible. As well as the shower would cause water to pool on floor from unlevel lip.
Walls and doors were spot painted over previous damage.
Also had issues with door cards not functioning and had needed to get staff to fix multiple times.

The toilet was plugged and after I said something nothing was done I had to fix myself, gross. The shower I had to run the water for 10 minutes before I could get it and have warm water. Not hot like it was to be. Then the door was horrible the safety lock was gone and then to close the you had to lift it up and push it to the side. When I went to check out and tell them the issuea they didn't care, no compilation for it either.

I stayed for two days i did get to check in early but the room was very funky the carpet was in desperate need of throwing away it was icky and sticky the bathroom wasn’t very clean and the shower head needs to be cleaned and adjustable o didnt see anyone cleaning the lobby or vacuuming the place those carpets are nasty
Breakfast was more sweet treats there wasn’t anything good to eat and the towels in the room was dingy and old and stained
And idk whats the deal with the ac/heater but that was a trick to use
The rooms need to be updated and cleaned properly
Good thing my stay was short

Upon arrival at the Ramada by Wyndham in Abbotsford, the front desk attendant was unfriendly and had a noticeable attitude—not the welcoming experience you expect when checking in. We were initially assigned Room 228. After walking up the stairs to the far end, we immediately noticed the room was in poor condition. Most concerning was that part of the door casing was missing and there was no safety latch, giving the appearance that the door had previously been forced open. This felt unsafe.

I went back downstairs right away to request a different room. I’m not sure if the person who assisted me was the manager or owner, but we were reassigned to Room 218. Unfortunately, this room was no better. The curtains were barely hanging on the rod, had cigarette burn marks, and the outer curtains were overly long and frayed at the bottom. The carpets were dirty, adding to the overall unclean feel of the room.

When we attempted to use the hot water, none was available. We let the water run for several minutes in both the sink and bathtub, but it never got warm, so we were unable to shower.

On a positive note, the front lobby has been remodeled and looks nice. The continental breakfast was simple but appreciated—toast, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, yogurt, and fresh fruit.

Overall, the condition of the rooms and lack of basic amenities, combined with poor customer service, made this a very disappointing stay. I would not stay here again.

Breakfast sucked, don’t even think of it as a continental breakfast unless you’re happy with small breakfast selection. (Hard boiled eggs was what I settled on and my daughter had toast and jam and a yogurt.) no pancakes, no good cereal, ( I think it was raisins flakes?) no juice, coffee was not good. Indian food across the street was excellent! Check it out and try some of their desserts if your in the area, It was good! One other nice thing is it is just off the highway.

This property is very substandard. Staff is friendly and helpful but the room we were assigned was in very poor condition: Many large chips in the enamel of the bathtub...one about 4\"x 2\", shower curtain had a sour, unclean smell. We actually didn't feel comfortable even using the shower. Toilet didn't flush properly...had to keep removing the tank lid to adjust the flush valve. Bathroom fan was very noisy. The towels were thin and not very white. The paint of the bathroom door had been very poorly repaired with a colour that did not match.The bedroom ceiling had evidence of many water leaks and had been very poorly repaired. The built in furniture was chipped, inside of drawers was stained and grubby. The king bed was okay and the sheets seemed clean but the duvet was grubby and the pillows inside the cases were stained. A previous review had mentioned bed bugs...we did not sleep well. There were many other minor problems such as holes in the walls, burnt out light bulbs etc. You might think that this review is of a $40.00 a night roadside motel but is is a Ramada and the cost for one night with tax was just under $200,00 CA. One last disturbing occurance is that at around 8:00pm we heard someone trying to open our door!!! The room had been assigned to another couple and they were given key cards that worked in our door. In the morning when we returned to our room after breakfast our key cards did not work.

I checked in after midnight due to a late flight and was very disappointed with my stay. There were stains on the walls and baseboards, a strong mold smell, dents and holes in the drywall, a stain on the ceiling, a broken shower handle, and a damaged window. I did not feel comfortable staying there, but it was too late to find another option.
To add to the bad experience, the hotel later double-charged a higher rate after leaving. When I contacted, they said I hadn’t paid even though I already paid on Hotels.com (which there was no mention of an issue or charge at the desk while checking in). It took time to resolve, and I’m grateful Hotels.com provides a receipt.

Within five minutes, my child found a small empty vial on the floor. The water was lukewarm and the shower head was broken. Every part of the room was falling apart; from the lock on the door to the unstable and dilapidated furniture. Due to safety concerns, especially with children, we checked out. The front desk staff did not care or apologize (we were polite and respectful when discussing this).I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you have children.

The room was disgusting. There was no water in the room. There was stains on the mattress and stains on the carpet. The furniture was all scuffed up. It looked like Salvation Army furniture. Do not recommend to stay here.

The room and motel in general was not clean. When we entered our room, it had not been cleaned. The bed had been slept in and there were dirty towels on the chair. We went back to the check in and she gave us another room. The heater in this room did not work. We would definitely not stay there again and would not recommend it. In fact we probably won’t stay at another motel by Wyndham.

The room was in terrible shape. There were several dents in the walls, a big area that had plaster in it but hasn’t been sanded and painted. Bathroom door had a hole in it. There was no light in the living room area. The bar to hang up your clothes was broken and carpet was dirty. The only redeeming factor was that the bedding was clean and bed was comfortable. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator so hard with heavy luggage since we’re seniors.
Very disappointing!

The room was bigger than I expected.
The curtains did not close so the light from outside came in and it was harder to sleep. I changed in the bathroom due to this.
The balcony was a \"Shared\" balcony that I did not like.
The side door was often open for anyone off the street to walk in.

Staff were welcoming and kind. That being said room was in very poor condition. There were stains on the sheets, walls, bath matt and lamp shades to name a few . The room was fine for what we needed but wouldnt recommend for those that require cleanliness.

I have no idea where this hotel gets its maids from, what maid doesnt pull out furniture to clean the floors , specifically after people whom use fentynal and leave there drug parinfiela behind , what if i had a child with me the child would of died or gotten hurt, the heater was broken ful of orange peels the toliet didnt flush , there was no soap or shampoo only one towel , the staff their need to do their jobs and go into the rooms and check on the maid whom cleeans their rooms for guests to see if they physically did clean from the last person , this is the second time ive stayed and i was really grossed out from this alone .

Staff had no personality. There were gross dirty and cigarette burnt carpets. Bath fan wiring hanging out and cover missing. TV remote didnt work and the bed coverings had what appeared to be blood stains. The pillows were tiny and few. I slept fully clothed with socks on for fear of bugs.
