It has been a long time since I have stayed at any Best Western, and let me tell you, I was blown away how I was surprised. Check in was quick and easy. She informed me the pool was closed (which didn't matter to me anyway), but they were giving free access to a local community pool. The Room itself was clean, surprisingly quiet even though right next to the highway.....very comfortable.
But, the BEST PART was absolutely the BREAKFAST, and the staff. FULL HOT breakfast (items changed each morning)...but there was more than anyone could have asked for OR expected for sure. Great way to start the morning.
Will absolutely stay here next time I need to stay overnight at the coast!

The main reason we booked here was because of the pool amenities to find out upon check-in that it was unavailable. No notification prior to check-in about this as it was a planned maintenance. No soundproofing either as we could hear people running up and down the halls late at night

We booked with BW, as for the most part we feel like it’s an accommodation that suits travelling as a family.

We specifically booked to use the pool as our littles had a dance competition and we were travelling as a team.

When we arrived the pool was out of service and they said we could go use the local rec centre - 10min away.

The entire hotel was full of a teenage rugby teams which I can empathize would be a little crazy.

It was however not acceptable that these teams were running up and down the halls at 10pm at night knocking on everyone’s door, both waking up, and scaring everyone’s kids.

Our kids all had a 6:30am wake up call and you can imagine the meltdowns up until midnight after something like this wakes them up.

I had to get out of bed at 1am after tossing and turning over the noise and get my headphones to drown out the noise.

I’ve been a teenager myself and so what can you do, but there’s having fun and not wanting to go to bed and then straight up disturbing the peace.

BW front desk didn’t seem bothered, about this or the no pool, almost $300 a night…. Feels like the service could have been more thoughtful and offered a discount of some sorts.

Sandman down the road we heard is a way better stay and worth the price.

Breakfast was better than most other places ive stayed in Abbotsford. Room was ok, air was a little stale, but otherwise it was clean, the pillows are abundant and super comfortable, and the shower worked well with good pressure and hot water came quickly.

Id give it an 8/10 bc the pool was closed for maintenance, which was also the case when I stayed there in December 2025

Room was great, had the kitchenette but didn’t know there was no dish soap provided.
Hood fan over the stove didn’t work, bathroom light took about 15 seconds to turn on each time we flicked the switch. Other than that it was great! Bed was comfy all sheets and towels were clean and we loved the breakfast!

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good and the room comfortable. We would have liked a water station in the building we were in. There were a few random hairs around the bathroom area when we first got in. (not ours)
The traffic noise was loud being by the freeway. Staff were helpful.

Room was clean and fair size, sink outside of the bathroom. Cabinets were a bit outdated but wing chair was pretty clean. Could hear some noise from upstairs, not enough insulation and the plumbing was kind of noisy when someone is taking a shower. The property has 2 buildings so you have to cross from the main building to the breakfast room. Overall it was an ok stay! Also it would be nice if someone would greet you, every time we come to the front desk no one was there. I dont know if it was just during our stay but it would have been nice is someone is there to greet the guests. Breakfast was ok too!

Blankets pillow bed and bedsheets looked like they were old and the cheapest quality one could buy. The room loooked like it was from the 80s (i stayed in the 2nd building)
No usb chargers anywhere in room
Same with the breakfast. Cheap cheap cheap quality food. Powdered eggs and the worst sausages. Coffee was meh. Literally the second 11am hit they were knocking on my door asking if i was checked out and if they could clean the room. I was only about 15 minutes away from being ready to leave.
This is about one step up from a motel, but hotel prices.

The hotel is located right off the highway. The hot tub and pool were very nice. Room was a good size and had a tub. I hate to be negative but the breakfast offered was really not very good. Little round egg discs that were tasteless, sausage rounds that were so salty I couldn’t eat them, no straight orange juice and not too much else other than French toast (didn’t try it) and a machine dispensing plain yogurt.

The pool wasn't big enough to swim in really. From other reviews I read, after my family's stay, only one of the two pools has been open for quite a while. Hot tub was nice and hot but had fairly weak jets. The room was clean. Breakfast wasn't too busy. Eggs and canadian bacon one day and eggs and sausage patties the next. There was a good variety of fruit available. Cinnamon french toast, english muffins, whole wheat bread and banana bread was available. They had apple juice, water, coffee, tea and a juice cocktail. There was yogurt and raisin bran also. I highly suggest to any traveller to call the hotel if you want specific amenities. I have finally learned my lesson. Hot tub is important to my fam

We found it pretty noisy overnight as our room faced the highway.
Breakfast has lots of variety, including hot and cold options.
It would be nice if there was a bit of information about recycling Our room blue box was tucked in behind the garbage under the sink. No info on how to use it. Breakfast room would benefit from pictures instead of written info about what goes where. It was badly misused.

Ive stayed her 3 times in the last few months and each time there were groups of teen teams here, so if you want to use the pool then you will be sitting in there with very loud, unrespectful teens. Not once could i enjoy a night time hot tube. Very disappointing. Staf was amazing, breakfast was good. But i do rewlquest that the porperty has an adult \"quirt\" hour at night so we can enjoy a hottub without screaming kids and splashes in the face by these kids.

My stay here was quite comfortable. They staff are very friendly and helpful and kind, building is a little older yet they make the best of it with pleasant decorating and excellent service.

Yesterday I was almost too late for breakfast, They asked me if I had eaten, because I had not they went for a moment and got me a side plate from the kitchen of the items no longer on the food line. Not often you see caring service like that. I was very grateful and impressed with the kindness. Food was delicious and hot !

Unfortunately we didn't get have enough time to use the pool and hot tub but assume they are probably as well kept as the rest of the property.

We received a “complimentary upgrade” to the hospitality suite. They checked us in and gave us the keys but the room was not ready. We had to go back in 10 minutes. The room was huge but there was no bathtub and it had 2 double beds rather than the king I booked. When I went to have a shower the bath mat was damp. I called the front desk but it was going to take too long to get it replaced so I told them not to bother. 10 minutes later a knock came at the door while I was in the shower. The beds and pillows were comfy.

Staff was great! Room was outdated and the power on one wall stopped working so we had no night table lights and our devices did not charge. The room itself did not feel welcoming was a bit creepy.
The restaurant next door had almost no staff working we specifically booked this hotel due to the proximity to it but still had to drive to a different eatery because of this.

we specifically stayed here as they have a pool and hot tub they were not very big and there was 3 groups of kids staying there the pool area was packed and we were unable to use it the area shut down at 10:00pm I asked if we could go in there for an hour after 10:00 they said no.I felt that they should have shut down pool and hot tub to the kids at 9:00 and given the adults an hour to themselves

Having two building, and not making it clear that the pool is in one and breakfast is in another was really not something that made us happy.

That being said, the blond lady that tended to the breakfast station both morning might have been one of the friendliest and helpful hotel employees we’ve had in as long as we could remember. My wife and daughter went separately from myself for breakfast both days, and on our drive home, we both brought up how excellent she was. Would really mean a lot if whomever reads this shares how pleasant she was to interact with in the morning
