Our room was in the annex of this hotel which is located on the 5th floor of a charming apartment building. After checking in, we located our room which is reached via some stairs, OR as we discovered on our last day, a lift! Breakfast is good but the breakfast area is very small and does get crowded at times.
Our room was lovely, with a good rainforest shower, cleaned to a high standard every day.

Great location! slightly outside of the busy city center of naples but still extremely accessible. Train 1 minute walk away!
Staff was very helpful with helping us navigate the area and accommodating by holding our luggage prior to check in.

Very nice and helpful staff. Nice size rooms and clean. Bathroom was nice too. Breakfast was simple but good. Metro and Funicolare around the corner. Some restaurants in the neighbourhood. We loved our stay!

Hotel is small but our room was spacious with a huge bed, the bathroom needs upgraded, the veneer wood round the basin was chipped and peeling off, the trim around the shower looked mouldy although it was clean it looked scruffy and unappealing. I found the dark bathroom very depressing but maybe that’s me.
The hotel is in a good location with nice restaurants and shops right outside, the metro and funicular are also close by.
Breakfast was limited but adequate, all staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location on Line 1 Metro for easy access to Molo Beverello (ferry port), Duomo, Museo and Piazza Garibaldi to get to Pompeii. Fantastic staff and big size rooms. Note that the front desk isn’t 24/7 if you have early or late arrival or departure. Would stay here again for sure.

As a solo traveller it was great! Nice and busy area for shopping, restaurants and cafes.
My only suggestion would be to grease the doors as the noise when opening/closing was bad. Fixable for sure.

The staff were friendly and helpful. When we arrived the entire area didn’t have any water. They informed us immediately and provided options for water use.
There were another item of concern but the staff resolved promptly.
They also arranged airport transport at a reasonable rate as we had to be at the airport at 5 am.
Breakfast was also good. Freshly baked goodies.

This property was honestly very nice. It was tough to find. The major challenge was the room A/C would not go down. The room was so hot and I do not sleep well in the heat. But overall staff, location and property were very nice.

Hotel Cimarosa was exceptional. The staff especially the gentleman that worked the breakfast shift provided great service and hospitality. The room was comfortable and always maintained clean upon returning from a day out of exploring. Excellent location to the metro and the funcolare. The hotel is situated in the Vemoro district and it’s safe with blots of things to do in the neighborhood. Highly recommend and will stay at Hotel Cimarosa upon our return to Napoli.

We stayed here for 4 nights - the first leg of our 25th Anniversary trip. The entrance was a little difficult to find due to the scaffolding. Once you are in the piazza, it is on the right, just behind the Metro access. A slight snag with our room assignment was quickly rectified.

The room was nice and clean. Everything needed was present. The breakfast was okay, but nothing spectacular. What is really great is the proximity to the Metro and funicular's. It is so easy to get around the city from here. Manuel was so very helpful - recommending places to eat, the best way to get where we needed, and ordering a taxi to the train at checkout.

We really enjoyed staying here. Grazie Molto!

Good location next to funicular and restaurants. Good choice of coffee and breakfast spread. If you are flying in late reception officially closes at 11pm but front desk tells me it closes at midnight. Receptionist skilled at using google translate to communicate during check in.

Hotel Cimarosa is in a great location for seeing most of the sights of Napoli, without being in the historical district. It is in the quiet Vomero neighborhood with easy access to 3 funiculare and the metro.
The rooms are spacious and clean. We loved our stay. Grazie mille!

Great neighborhood hotel.

We have family in Naples who recommended this hotel because it was close to their home. We liked that it was in a Naples area that wasn’t populated by tourists. We saw that side when we ventured to the water.
We were able to walk down into the central shopping district and immerse in the culture. There are restaurants around and easy access to the metro. Staff was accommodating and the hotel clean.

Clean, modern - would stay again

Nice, modern hotel in one of the nicer areas of Naples. Everything was very clean and well-appointed. The location is very good for catching public transit. It is quite a ways upstairs but there is an elevator so it isn’t a problem. The area does get a little noisy at night, I did end up wearing earplugs to sleep.

Wonderful staff, good breakfast, room very clean. Only downside is access from the road after say 5pm. Not clear how to gain access. Now that I know the hotel is located on the fifth floor I would most definitely stay there again!!!!

Modern, convenient, great staff!

Despite of all the positive reviews I read upfront, Hotel Cimarosa turned out to be even better than what I expected. Everything as all other reviewers commented: great location, convenient neighborhood (with Carrefour nearby), many restaurant options, and one can easily walk up to Castle Sant'Elmo to appreciate a great city view in the evening. Above all these, I'd like to thank a superb hotel staff, Manuele. Whenever I see him, he's always in high spirit and was passionate in assisting us by giving us helpful information (great restaurant and pizza recommendations) and patiently answering our questions (this is Naples!). If being nitpicking, the only thing we didn't like was the noise from outside on Friday night. There's a bar nearby so quite a lot of people hang out there. Other nights were quiet.

A comfortable place to stay

The hotel is a 20-30 minute Metro ride from the train station because the Metro, unlike other Italian cities, runs in a circle around the city. Although a taxi ride may be faster, the hotel itself is at the top of the Metro station exit IF you know which exit to take when you get off (head to the right and go down a very LONG hallway). We unknowingly took the wrong exit and had a long walk with luggage to get to the hotel.

As other reviews have noted, the hotel is on the upper floors of an apartment building so its location is not immediately apparent. But once inside, it's quite pleasant. The room and amenities are quite modern, comfortable and inviting. The breakfast buffet was more Continental style but adequate and tasty.

The hotel is located in the Vomero area on a hill overlooking Naples itself. If you go up the escalator right next to the property, it puts you into some picturesque but sketchy neighborhoods because of all the graffiti (it's everywhere!) so stick to the nearby main walking district. The central plaza nearby has wonderful happy hour offerings - seek out La Dolce Vita.

A great stop in an exciting area

A great hotel. We visited relatives in the area of Vomero, where the hotel is. The hotel is on the 5th and 6th floors of an apartment building with easy access to the metro, funiculore, taxis, etc. Lots of good restaurants and things to do.To drive in naples is not for the faint of heart. However, if you have a car, the hotel will suggest area garages.

OK hotel, but not sure I'd go back

This hotel was ok. It was located near a metro stop as well as the funicolare, so it's easy to get around, but it's a few stops away from the historic center. I came from the train station and would recommend the metro over a taxi because the traffic in Naples was horrible and it's literally closer to the metro than the street. It's in an apartment building and the sign is very small, so if you get to the escalator you missed it. The hotel staff was pleasant, but did not offer any information about Naples or things to do in the area and seemed surprised that I was interested in a map of the area. I had my own plans, so it wasn't a big deal, and I could have asked, but I was just surprised that the information wasn't offered. The breakfast was the normal fare and the coffee was from a machine, so I would suggest going to get a real cappuccino or espresso and Neapolitan pastry instead. The shower was quite nice and probably the best part of the room. The bed was merely two twins shoved together rather than a king and not even the extra long twins, so if you are much taller than 5'5\" your feet would probably hang off. The room was ok, but right next to the elevator, which made a weird chime every time someone used it that could be heard in the room. The carpet on the stairs was kind of fraying, so despite the cleanliness there was a little bit of an air of neglect to the place.

Hotel Cimarosa \"just OK\"

The hotel was just OK. The location was good. The room was adequate. The breakfast was less than inspiring. The staff were nice. My biggest complaint is that in order to get to the hotel one had to take a rickety elevator that had barely room for two people let alone their luggage up 5 flights, then another rickety elevator to get to our room on the second floor of the hotel. In order to get access to the building one had to push a buzzer and then speak to a disembodied voice over an intercom. All in all, not a very welcoming experience.

It is a little bit hard to find the hotel as it is within a multi-story building on the top two floors. The hotel itself is modern, the rooms are very clean and well equipped. Breakfast is - for Italian standard - very good with fresh pastries and some fruit selection. Location is great as it is only a few steps away from the hill station of the funicular in an upscale neighbourhood with plenty of restaurant choices nearby. Would certainly stay again at this hotel!

Great Location

We stayed one night at Hotel Cimarosa on our way home from Italy. It epotomises how we felt about Italy in general- it has some fantstic assets and has the potential to be sensational, but it suffers from neglect, and this is reflected in both the premises and the attitude of the staff, which I felt was a bit off-hand at times.
The decor is interesting with lots of modern art, but has not been well maintained; it is shabby in places and there were a few minor irritating faults in the room itself (shower head leaked out the side, drainage in shower poor, a light in the vestibule that was temperamental).
On the plus side, the location was ideal, in an interesting, safe part of Naples, with a train and the 3 funicolare within minutes walk, and lots of restaurants and great shopping close by.
It's such a shame that there has not been more attention to detail here, because it could be really great.

Très bon hôtel sur une colline surplombant la ville et la mer. Emplacement idéal pour visiter Naples. Il y a 3 lignes de funiculaires qui vous emmènent dans les quartiers les plus intéressants de Naples en 5-10 minutes. Chambre confortable et propre. Au calme. Quartier Vomero très joli, il y a des restaurants et du shopping. Tout proche de la Chartreuse San Martino.

L'hôtel est parfaitement situé (Métro Vanvitelli et sommet des 3 funiculaires). Il n'occupe que le 5ème étage d'un bel immeuble ancien avec un ascenseur de type cage à oiseaux. Chambre spacieuse avec grande télé (Netflix). J'étais côté cour avec une petite vue sur mer. Par contre le WIFI est un peu lent. Petit déjeuner classique avec des produits basiques (Jus d'orange bien chimique)

Hôtel charmant bien situé sur la colline du Vomero, accès proche des transports (funiculaire, métro...) et à l'écart de la ville bruyante. Chambre spacieuse, confortable, moderne. Petit-déjeuner copieux et varié. Nous avons aussi pu laisser les bagages le dernier jour avant de les récupérer pour l'aéroport.

Justo en Vomero en la parte alta de Nápoles con vista a la ciudad, dónde tienes todo para salir a comer o comprar, y literalmente \"sobre\" la línea del metro y el funicular que te da acceso a donde quieras ir. Diferente (es un hotel en un 5to piso) pero muy recomendado, se ve nuevo, moderno y de buen gusto en una zona que sentimos muy segura. Además tuvimos un cuarto con vista al mar.
