The location of this hotel is very good although finding the door was not straightforward. The GPS will lead you to the back of the hotel near a restaurant. You must walk through an alley to get to the front door which has stairs, no elevator to the lobby. The rooms are old and need an update. The staff at the desk were very nice and friendly. It was fine for a short,busy weekend in Venice,but not my first choice.

Very very close to San Marco square and easily walkable to many attractions nearby. Staff was 12/10 always friendly and doing the extra mile in terms of service and room details. Only cons were the mattresses being very hard and that the streets were loud from the room, at night when shops were closing, as well as the bell tower ringing at 12pm and 7am, but that is not the fault of the hotel.

Old World style, service and sheer class make this the ideal location in Venice IMO. Pay the small amount extra to have a view of the Basilica and Piazza out your window, plus it's right outside the hotel entrance - incredibly convenient. The concierge/desk staff made the visit even better with grace and helpful attitude. A cliche, but they truly do make one feel like family and want visitors to have their best experience possible. The breakfast was also superb but the staff, the location and the classic furnishings make this our new favorite hotel in all of Italy. Fantastico!

Our Suite with the balcony, over looking Saint Mark’s Square, the Air Conditioning did not work. The suite was HOT. The AC fan on high blew very little air and the air was not cold or cool. I Complained at the front desk, they insisted that the AC worked perfectly in our suite and basically did nothing. We booked the suite for 4 nights. I could not get one of them to come to the room to prove me right and then wrong. We said something to house keeping and they gave us a floor fan and a table top fan to use. NOT what you would expect from a so called 4 Star Hotel at an average of $500 a night suite. Still nothing from the front desk. The front desk staff were very rude and smiled at you as they told their lies to your face. It was very clear, they did not care was not concerned. We had to keep the curtains closed to try to block out some of the outside heat. The suite had two bathrooms and both were not vented and did not have an AC vents. They were both as HOT as sauna, both day and night. The last night my wife picked up a bottled water bottle in the bathroom to rinse her mouth, thinking it was hers, it was the maid’s and it was Bleach and not water used for cleaning, Lucky she did not swallow it. It look like the bottled water container that my wife used. I complained to the front desk

My family ended our 10 day vacation in Venice at this hotel. The staff was helpful and very professional. The hotel was in a good location. The breakfast spread was elegant. Rooms were clean but very old. The air condotioning for not working correctly and we had to sleep in 80 degree rooms for 2 nights. They did move us but only one room ended up being somewhat of a decent temperature. I was shocked they did not offer any type of discount to ours rooms.

Historic hotel right next to St. Mark’s Basilica. The rooms seem to be smaller and sort of no frills, but for us it was what we needed. It provided very short walking distances to sites, shopping, and the vaporetto back to the Santa Lucia train station. Restaurants in the immediate area are more tourist traps, so just beware of that. You’d have to go north or east for the better restaurants.

This hotel locates right at the back of San Macro square. There are lots of restaurants, gifts, ice-cream shops around. 7 min walk to the grand canal and 5 to 10 min walk to all the docks with gondolas, or ferries to other islands. Hotel is a bit old, but nicely maintained and clean. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Anywhere you want to go and to do is walkable. I will definitely consider to stay in this hotel next time to Venice.

Hotel is very nice and has a great location to the square, dining, bridge and shopping. We had a junior suite and it was spacious and comfortable enough for three of us and our luggage. Did not get any views of the city from room but could her the church bells ring from 7am - midnight, The staff was very friendly and helpful. There have many services that you can use during your stay, we used the boat to Murano to see the glass factory. There are lots of stairs but they do have a small elevator. I would recommend and stay again if visiting Venice.

Steps from Piazza San Marco and an easy walk to everything. Room was beautifully appointed. If we had done more than sleep in the room the condition of the tired armchairs might have mattered, but they had been made to look nice. Nice size ensuite with good size shower. We arrived with no idea what was on the calendar locally. the feast of San Marco was taking place amazing church service then Carmen provided the Pope himself, no pope had visited Venice before !!

We were delighted by the Hotel Concordia. We didn't know it was RIGHT next to the Basilica - our widow looked out to the Basilica and the Square - it was breathtaking! We had a relatively short stay of 5 nights, and the staff were very helpful. The bar there is small but Prince WAS a prince to us. Breakfast was great. Lots of help getting to Murano (fab visit) and getting out via taxi. We also loved that one room is 2 small rooms together - more space, 2 bathrooms... very helpful.

The hotel is beautiful and could not be in a better location. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony looking at St Marks and absolutely loved our rooms. The hotel also set up our transportation to and from the airport which was so convenient. The only complaints I have is breakfast was less then desirable and the the noise outside of the hotel is loud (I know they don’t control the noise but just be forewarned there is a bar below and you will hear loud noises/talking to early hours in the morning)

Staff totally disinterested. Bed was terrible, two single beds which kept falling apart, crack in middle meant i couldn't cuddle my partner. Very uncomfortable, woke up with a bad back every morning. This hotel has the best location right on the corner of St. Mark’s Square. Make sure to request the room with the balcony. The daytime staff was excellent and professional. At nighttime, however, they seem to close everything down and the one staff person at night basically seems to sleeps in the office behind the lobby counter. He’s totally unprofessional. Comes out yawning, rude and unhelpful in every way.
