Nice hotel, good mattress, good service, but maybe not in style. The bathroom does not have a door when taking a shower. The cold in the bedroom came in. The temperature of the water is uneven, then it will be hot and cold. The front sink is not balanced with the front mirror. The lights at the bottom of the basin are not bright enough. There should be enough bottled water. Thai people do not drink tap water.

The interior design of the room was the most impressive we really liked it. Front desk staff were most helpful when we asked about the public transportation around town, very courteous and professional. Breakfast was great except that the omelette can really use LESS salt. Parking was not too convenient because they have limited space and we had to park at a garage that’s ~3 minutes walk away, not too bad. Overall the hotel is one of the highlights of our 2 weeks trip.

Our stay at Hotel Sonne in Füssen was excellent, the hotel was really clean and nicely upgraded. Unique decor throughout, our room was a nice size with all the necessary amenities. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well. I would definitely stay here again. Parking was offset close by with trains and buses nearby. Füssen is a beautiful destination, we loved it.

We had troubles planning our train ride to Switzerland and they helped us including calling our next hotel to help us identify which station we needed to arrive at. This was a wonderful stay for our family. It was very clean and well kept. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely done out but the room had an open shower, with a window in the room. Not ideal with 2 teenagers! We used the wellness area while we were there and that was gorgeous. It has 2 steam rooms and a sauna, and a very luxurious place quiet rooms. It rained while we were there so we appreciated the down time. The parking was underground and had to book it in advance. The hotel is very centrally located , with a supermarket and bakery opposite, very close to the bus stop that takes you to Neuschwanstein Castle, and minutes to the town centre.

Maybe it was because we were American, but we were given a really bad room. The room was next to a deck with smoking and it smelled like an ashtray. Also people on the deck can see in your room as the curtain does not give much privacy. The parking was really far away from the hotel. Staff wasn’t too friendly. When we tried to explain issues with room they were not interested in listening. We were told to go out on the deck and ask the people to stop smoking. They told Expedia they would switch our room the next day but that was not true. When I saw how bad it was i asked if I could cancel and stay somewhere else or even just take one night off and reduce the time we booked but we were told no. There is no pool or much in amenities. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Paid over $400 USD for a room that was supposed to have a view. No view. Strangely fitted room with windows from a public deck looking onto the bed. Noisy elevator made clicking sounds all night. Disaster. Staff was nice despite the issues.

Hotel, rooms, restaurant, location, and staff were fabulous! We chose to stay in Fussen as part of our stop to see Neuschwanstein. Glad we did! As a family of with 2 teens, we had two rooms. Both rooms were great and uniquely decorated. We rented e-bikes from the hotel and rode throughout the area. We drove to Neuschwanstein. We enjoyed walking through Old Town and loved the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Will definitely return!

This is a boutique hotel right in the center of Füssen close to the Altstadt but in a location where it's also easy to do day trips. The amenities are amazing as is the restaurant breakfast and evening dining. The only caution is that if you are using the hotels parking garage be, aware that it's very tight. Luckily for us we had a modern car with all the Bells and whistles which helped.

If you are here in Fussen, you are here for one reason - The Castle. You picked a great place to stay while waiting for your timed entrance to the Castle (sp Newschwanstein). The rooms are efficient but comfortable. Beds great. Shower... I hate bathtub showers but it is ok. What makes this property great is the staff and the restaurant. It is a bargain at 130 Euro per night.

Very cute hotel in the center of town. Room is clean and in good size. It closes to the bus stations and the hotel will provide free bus tickets to the castles. There is a supermarket cross the hotel, which is very convenient. There are no coffee machine or kettle, no bottle water, no mini bar inside of the room. A small cup of coffee was 4.8 euro in its restaurant, if you are a breakfast person, best to eat the breakfast buffet, heard it’s good.

The switches had a mind of their own – I could not learn how to make them work, even after two days of exercise.
The mattress was very soft and the pillows were of very poor quality.

The staff was very friendly and kind. I wish they had told us about the Füssen card when we dropped off our luggage so we could have used it to save some money on the buses. We did have to report a briken bottle in the luggage room 2x. For a hotel that size we were happy they offered a free luandry room, but there was only 1 of each machine and it took o er 2 hours for the dryer to dry 1 load. Convenient to the train and bus stations and local restaurants. Use of the bathrobes was nice. Chair in the room was very small and uncomfortable. We would have appreciated directions on using the cooling system. Sink was fancy but very small.

The Hotel Sonne was a really nice hotel in a great location. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - especially with respect to recommendations as to the logistics in seeing the two castles in Hohenschwangau.
The parking was a little different as I was directed to public parking because my vehicle was too long for their hotel parking. It ended up really not being a hassle having to walk to and from the public parking. The main detractor with this hotel was the fact that the air conditioning didn’t work in the room.

Hotel Sonne has excellent location. It’s 4 mins walk from the strain station and next to the walkable downtown area. Staff are very friendly. Mahdi was our receptionist when we arrived and he was very helpful and friendly with us throughout our stay. I would definitely come back to this hotel.
