While the building is old, the efforts to restore it are marginal. The room was not that clean. Dirty windows and sills, light in the bathroom was dusty, moldy shower grout, no privacy from the barn door to the bathroom. Hallway and stair carpet pretty dirty, elevator out of service for weeks. The restaurant service was poor. Not worth the $240/night. Wouldn’t recommend.

Nice historic hotel. Elevator has been down for 3 weeks, but we didn't see the notice or we would have canceled. Staff did carry luggage up and down for us to 3rd floor, but lot of steps up and down to come and go... free ice and bottle of water always appreciated here. We will stay afain next year when elevator gets fixed.

The elevator was out, The restaurant was closed for renovations, and the unloading/parking area was blocked off by the restaurant renovations vehicles.

Hotel St. Michael is a charming historic hotel but not quite up to par. The bed was very comfortable and there was both a chest and closet for clothing. However, the a/c units are loud and sometimes not well situated in the room, such as being directly across from the head of the bed. Having the air blow in your face is not comfortable. A small inconvenience is that the room does not provide a hair blow dryer. Normally I wouldn’t mind going to the front desk but I was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. In the 3 times I have been at this hotel the elevator has not been working. Gotta wonder “why”..

Was very disappointed to check into the hotel and find out that the only elevator they had was broken down. We were not informed of that ahead of time and had to take our suitcases and other items up to the second floor.

This hotel has a lot of charm. A throwback to the earlier 1900s. One block off the main square and a great lobby bar as well. This will be my hotel of choice on future visits to Prescott.

We loved this cute quaint hotel. It takes you back in time. If I were to book again, I would make sure their elevator was working. We stayed on the third floor and walking three flights of stairs every time wasn’t fun. So just double check that. Overall we loved it!

This is an older historical hotel with minimal amenities. The rooms are very small , our room floor was a little sloped. The elevator was not working the entire 3 days we were there. The staff was pleasant. They have 2 bars to choose from. The bistro was not open as they were updating it and this made it very inconvenient. My advice is to call ahead if you are unable to climb the stairs to either make sure you have a lower floor room or to ensure the elevator is working.

Room size isn’t usually a big deal but for that price I would have expected a better view or a larger room. We loved the character of the hotel, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The elevator was broken, but they had staff that volunteered to help with luggage. I was disappointed not to be able to use the old style elevator. Parking is not an issue as the parking garage is behind the hotel. There is parking for unloading right at the entrance.

St Michael's is conveniently located to Whiskey Row and Restaurant's. We stay there for that reason mostly. What we find irritating are the AC units in the rooms are small and sub par, making the room uncomfortable. The last 3 years we've stayed there, the elevator was broken. Each time we were put on the 3rd floor. I'm almost 80 and disabled. My wife is in her 60s...Extremely difficult!!

Super-Friendly staff, smack-dab in the middle of town, right next to the park, easy walking distance from pretty much every major shop and restaurant and not expensive. What more could you ask for? I splurged a bit this time for a larger room with a city view and it was great (and when I say \"splurged\" I mean literally a few dollars more). This is definitely my go-to hotel when staying in the Prescott area.

Parking in the covered parking lot behind the hotel was easy to get to and always had a parking space available. The room was clean. The bed was too soft for my husband and me. The bathroom could use more hooks for hanging wet washcloths in the shower and a towel rack near the sink. The staff were always very friendly and willing to offer help.

A clean room is important, and ours was spotless. Parking was explained well over the phone regrding lot location and entrances. There is an offloading spot right in front of the hotel on the street which as perfect. One of the bars is a large room with fireplace - we were given drink coupons to use - yay. The hotel restauarent is great. We puchased the $50 add-on for dinner worth $75 and were very plased with the menu right through the creme brulee dessert.

Location location! Then hotel is as billed, clean, rooms have character, staff great. Stayed for St. Patrick’s Day and hotels location, adjacent to the town square was perfect! I stayed there for St. Patrick’s Day, but what would bring me back is everything I didn’t have time to explore and discover!

The property is about location. That’s its draw along with the history itself. The room we chose was large and lots of windows, bed was comfortable but needs more pillows. Also would’ve liked more than 1 small toiletries for 2 people. The building is cool and the old elevator is charming. But the bar and lobby are really run down and not cozy at all. The speakeasy downstairs was cool, good drinks and decent food but it’s a bar. Not a “speakeasy. But the worst part - the noise and drag racing until 3am - they did provide earplugs but we never saw them because they weren’t near the bed at all. So sleep was not a thing and we like sleep. Overall, the staff was kind and the room was good, location was its draw. We likely wouldn’t stay again.

It’s an old historic building so expect old. That means smaller rooms, smaller bathrooms, old windows and a 100 year old elevator. Nice hotel in historic downtown Prescott. Rooms are on the small side,our bathroom was really small. Sink and toilet are a few inches apart. Elevator is old but functional, we were placed on the third floor back annex which was two short stair cases away from the elevator. This was challenging for us due to our age and arthritis as we could not roll our bags to the room.

It was difficult to get hot water in the shower in the morning. When I brought this up to staff, they suggest that I turn down the amount of cold water to increase the temperature. Duh! I’m pretty sure I know how to operate the shower. I asked for fresh towels as we left in the morning at 98M. But we got home at 8 PM. They still had not got this accomplished.

The western decor of our room was great. But not at all handicapped accessible. Husband and I both have balance issues and cannot do stairs. We were put in a third floor room with an unpredictable elevator. God forbid if a fire broke out. AGAIN, not ADA compliant.
