Absolutely lovely and comfortable home just out of town. A 200 year old villa fully restored on property that includes gardens. The owner was very gracious and efficient and the breakfast was amazing. It takes about 7 minutes to go to the town center in car. Note that the road to town and to the house are tight so go slow and drive carefully.

Thanks to our host, Rita, we had a wonderful stay. My wife and I enjoyed the evening immensely. The room was clean and the bed comfortable; the house is a delight, as was the food and drink. There is secure parking and you are close to town without being right in town. A quick drive to the Villa to admire the mosaics.

The breakfast was exceptional. A large variety of fresh options, including home grown produce, was very tasty. Gluten free options were available. The ricotta omelette was superb. Greatly enjoyed the garden surroundings and the sparkling pool, including the friendly dog. The very friendly owner provided easy transport to dining options. We would highly recommend a stay at Villa Clementine.

Tucked away in a lush area of Armerina is a lovely property with hosts who make you feel comfortable in every way. Excellent breakfast with varying assortment of items to choose, all cooked in her kitchen. Helpful hints regarding local places and comfortable, clean rooms. Enjoyed immensely.

Villa Clementine is a wonderful place to stay! It is located outside the city center, so it is quiet and has parking on premises. The room was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very kind and helpful—and an excellent baker! We enjoyed her homemade tiramisu, cake, and jams! If you are in Piazza Armerina, treat yourself to a stay here!

The property is beautiful, quiet and out of the way, but easily accessible to the town and Villa Romana del Casale. Rita & Louis were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The house, pool and gardens are stunning. Breakfast was fabulous!

We had a wonderful stay here. Rita was a fantastic hostess and very kind. We arrived too late for restaurants to still be serving, so she provided a thick wedge of cake to tide us over until her fantastic breakfast, which was generous and delicious.
Our room was lovely and very well equipped. Her garden and grounds were very well maintained and we were able to enjoy them.
Rita had suggestions on places to visit and local restaurants.

The owner, Rita, was very friendly and helpful. She taxied us into the historical town which has very narrow streets and limited parking. The grounds around the villa are beautiful and well maintained. The beds and pillows could be upgraded.

We are a family of four, when we arrived Rita upgraded us to a chalet since they were having a family reunion in the main house. We even got invited and had delicious home made pizza. The property is lovely and Rita and her family are excellent hosts. We had a lovely time. It is very near to Villa Romana del Casale. We highly recomend staying at Villa Clementina

the last km. to Villa Clementine is on a very narrow road, but it's well worth the effort, the villa is a little gem , lovely garden and pool , our room was very nicely furnished and spacious. Because she wasn't too busy the owner drove us to town for supper and came back to pick us up so we wouldn't have to drive at night ! how grand is that ?

This spacious country villa is lovely with a gracious hostess, modernised facilities, a comfortable bed, a beautiful view and a delicious breakfast. It is a little hard to find at the top of a hill. GPS locates it at the bottom of the hill. You need to follow the narrow road another kilometre up. There is a big sign at the entrance.

A Really Lovely Place To Stay

The Villa Clementine proprietor (Rita) was one of the absolute best ‘experiences’ that my wife and I had during our 2-week driving tour of Sicily. We used our 5-night stay at Villa Clementine to tour Central Sicily, and thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Piazza Armerina and local restaurants. However, the best thing was the wonderful hospitality accorded us by Rita, and we cannot thank her enough for everything! She really did treat us like family, and we could not have asked for anything more. The homemade breakfasts were simply delicious and plentiful – far better than any others we experienced in Sicily.

The Villa’s convenient location was just as we had hoped for, being only a fifteen minute walk into the centre of Piazza Armerina or three minute drive. Do not be put off by the Villa access road! After two weeks and 1,900 kilometres driving around Sicily, we soon realised that it was no different to numerous other backstreets of small provincial towns. In fact some were far worse, and you really do get used to the potholes and kind-of learn how to avoid them … Somewhat …

Finally, Villa Clementine really is a wonderful place to stay!

After navigating the tiny streets of hilltop towns, Villa Clementine is an oasis with beautiful garden, rooms and pool. Delicious breakfast. Martina was very kind to us. Bed was too firm for me but otherwise we were delighted with this b and b.

A home from home with special touches.

Villa Clementine is such a relaxing place to stay and the perfect location for visiting Villa Romana Casale, the excellent museum at Aidone and the evocative and deserted ruins of Morgantina.
Rita is a superlative and generous hostess. Welcomed us into her 'best room' and one could see straight away that she had trained in interior design. A huge room with four poster, desk, sofa, t.v. fridge, hospitality tray and the most beautiful decor and luxurious bedding.
The bathroom was spacious too with a good hot shower and there was a separate little room to hang clothes and store suitcases.
The breakfasts, as mentioned, were a veritable varied feast and Rita's conversation so lively and interesting.
One really did feel that she wanted one to feel at home in her beautiful 19th century house and gardens. She even showed us her well-stocked bar shelf and we were invited to help ourselves.
Rita arranged for a take-away pizza one evening and gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy with it.
Even though Rita has run this exceptional B&B for eleven years she still greets one with warmth, interest and makes one feel special.

Very good B&B. Fantastic welcome by the owner.

The room was very good, clean and well outfitted. The lady that runs this place is extraordinary! The friendly attitude, helpfulness and attentiveness were all remarkable.
The breakfast was really great and included in addition to the regular food self baked bread and cake as well as self made yogurt, all lovingly prepared by the owner (she gets up at 5 am every morning to prepare it).

Treated like royalty

We were a little unsure when we first hit the narrow access road, but from that point on our stay was exceptional. We stayed in the garden unit, which was very private and comfortable, and with a view to the pool.
Our host (Rita) suggested a good restaurant in town (Toto) and just as we were about to walk into town, she offered us a lift and then insisted that we call after our meal and she picked us up outside the diner. Oh, and the wood-fired pizza at Toto was probably the best we have had so far in Sicily.
Breakfast the next day was a feast, and included excellent canolis and a tart which Rita had baked that morning. Cereals, fresh fruit, croissants, cheeses and meats ...... just too much to list here.
Rita is an exceptional hostess and was great to chat with. Thanks again Rita.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Paradise in hiding

After much difficulty we finally found this wonderful B and B. There were no signs and the GPS wasn't helpful. Our host was very welcoming and offered us refreshments or coffee while we checked in. The accommodation and pool were the best. The host offered to drive us to town for dinner because it was getting late and the walk to town was on a dark road. The only thing very disturbing was there were neighboring dogs barking ALL night and kept us from sleep.

Awesome Sicilian hospitality

Villa Clementine is tucked away on a small one lane road about one mile from Piazza Amerina. While it is possible to walk to the town (which doesn't have much to recommend), driving is preferred as the hike is long, uphill, and not particularly scenic. The location of the Villa is very convenient for the Villa Romana which is presumably the main reason anyone comes to this area (it is totally worthwhile!)
What makes Villa Clementine great is its hostess Rita. She was so helpful, kind, and available. She made us feel like special guests in her home. Her breakfasts were some of the very best we had in Sicily. We would certainly stay here again if our travel plans took us to central Sicily.

Great stay with wonderful host

This is a great place to relax and see the ancient Roman mosaics nearby. The town itself, about 2 km away, has a quaint historic center and our host kindly drove us into town and picked us up after our dinner. Most helpful as the streets are narrow and winding. For our second night we ate in the villa itself having a home cooked meal. All around excellent time. If it were summer the pool would be on the agenda also.

Quiet Cozy Home Setting with Very Helpful Hostess

We stayed one night in Villa Clementine before visiting Villa Casale, which is close by. The place is a bit challenging to find, down a narrow lane outside of the main part of town. But once you arrive, it is a quiet and beautiful oasis, a well-loved family home with lovely swimming pool and garden areas, but most of all, a very helpful and welcoming hostess who went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable and all needs were met. Recommended!

Very nice and elegant B&B.

Rita, the owner, is extremely helpful in all areas. She is willing to solve all kind of problems and answer all kind of questions regarding confort and tourism. Her villa is a vast, elegant and confortable B&B. The swimming pool rests in a beautiful garden with the scenery of Piazza Armerina in the mountains for background. Breakfasts are abundant and varied and the atmosphere very friendly and casual. The only low note is that this B&B is not really made for people without a car, even though Rita drove me to several places during my three-day stay, including Villa Romana del Casale, which is about 4-5 km from her B&B. The periphery of Piazza Armerina is about 1 km from the B&B but the historical center of Piazza Armerina is more realistically 2 km, and you have to climb. Rita drove me there and came to pick me up twice, but my lack of autonomy and my impression of being somehow a burden made me fell a little ill-at-ease in spite of her kindness. Seeing this she made me enjoy a good deal with a taxi friend of hers, Roberto, who drove me to Aidone and Morgantina, a very impressive grec site about 10 km from Piazza Armerina. He waited for me while I visited the site and the museum. The day I left, the same taxi drove me to Enna, where I had an apartment booked, given that there was no bus on Sunday.The price was much lower than what I had paid otherwise.

Skønt ophold på Villa Clementine🙏

Vi havde et dejligt ophold på Villa Clementine – en gammel familiegård, der er lavet om til B&B med masser af charme. Poolen er virkelig unik og ligger smukt omgivet af grønne omgivelser.

Bedstemor Rita var en fantastisk vært – varm, hjælpsom og nærværende. Hun serverede den lækreste morgenmad med hjemmebagte kager og brød hver morgen. Man føler sig hurtigt hjemme her.

Et perfekt sted at slappe af og opleve den ægte sicilianske stemning. Ville ønske, at vi havde booket flere nætter netop lige her☀️
