Room very noisy, chairs and tables moving on a wooden foor, 107. Was told it was because the staff room was directly above, they’ve had the same complaints previously

A nice discovery

The staff was very helpful and kind. The room is quite small but that was fine for two people. We didn’t find any sign to put at the door so we don’t get disturbed by morning cleanings, but somehow the staff seem to know exactly when you leave the room and clean it, even in the afternoon. The food (both breakfast and dinner) was very good. The most satisfying things were : pontillas gondola very close to the hotel and the possibility to go by ski because the end of a red slope is right next to the ski room (super easy to ride)
And a nice discount to rent ski equipment.

We were there on the final day of the season in the Summer so it is now closed until December. They were down scaling so a lot of the food was finished which is understandable. Other than that a beautiful drive up the Alps in stunning weather so no complaints. Thank you.

Xmas trip

Check your bill before leaving because we got charged twice for our meals and then had too get it back after. Two of our meals the meat was extremely tough one was chicken supreme the other was The venison which was the Christmas meal it was like shoe leather and the creamy potato dolphin was grey, but we were a table of eight people we still enjoyed our time. It’s taken a bit to get our money back .

Great Ski hotel

4 day ski trip with a friend. Hotel was ski-in/ski-out, high quality and very friendly. Rooms were all new, staff attentive and ski lockers great. Local area was a little quiet (as is a lot of Serre Chevalier) but the bar in the hotel was a good replacement.

Great staff poor facilities

Poor wifi connectivity, no airconditioning, many TV channels were scrambled, there was no restaurant, poor view from our almost ground floor balcony. When we did make these matters known to reception staff they were very helpful but unable to change our room because the hotel was fully booked.
I would say that Expedia should take the responsibility for not accurately posting the information about this hotel. They offered a massive discount, presumably knowing that the hotel was under refurbishment and facilities would be less than normal. We paid extra for a deluxe room but it was the same as a standard room other than the fact it had a special bathtub.

A very nice hotel in a beautiful town

The room was so small, bathroom too. My head kept hitting the shower glass door when I was in the bathroom. However, the room was clean and modern. The town is beautiful. Breakfast was awesome, a lot of high quality choices. The hotel made a mistake charging my credit card but the staff at the reception did their best to address the issue, very nice people specifically, the young lady named Leopoldine who I dealt with directly. She was great, probably the nicest person I dealt with as a customer during my trip to France.

Good restaurant inside hotel, very convenient when cold outside, even if quality of food is not as good as it used to be last year and the year before.
Better price when you book through Hotels.com
No need to book half-board : it is cheaper or equal to pay at the restaurant every evening.

Nice modern room but lots of street noise

First impression of hotel is not good when we are told there are no elevators and we are on the 2nd floor so had to lug our cases up 2 flights of stairs. The lovely receptionist offered to carry our bags but there is no way my Husband would ask a 19 year old girl to be carrying our bags for us...shameful they expect receptionists to carry bags! The room was hot and no a/c so had to open all the windows but was right next to busy road so heard street noise which I had hoped would settle down because it was mostly young children but after dark it changed to revellers that carried on till 4am. Not sure what was worse boiling hot room or open windows to noise? There is no restaurant in the summer which we knew when we booked but wasn't going to worry until we arrived but it really is very inconvenient especially when there are few restaurants in town and they require reservations but don't open till 7:30 and we are from Canada so can't phone to make reservations. Luckily front desk kindly did this for us...front desk was very helpful and pleasant btw. There is a fridge in the room but dont bother using it because it is barely lukewarm so all my food spoiled. The room is very nice and modern and so is the bathroom and shower. There isn't much to do in the town besides outdoor recreation but I did walk to the nearby village which was quite charming. The parking is right outside the hotel which was very convenient...especially after lugging your bags up and down 2 flights of stairs!

Great Hotel in less than ideal proximity Club-Med

Wonderful Hotel and hotel staff - service is top-notch. Location is easy to find and great proximity to hiking and skiing. Unfortunately the hotel is too close to the Club Med which is an on-going-outdoor-karaoke-all-hours-party that kept us awake nightly until 1AM.
The Spa at the Hotel is also far too understaffed to provide the same level of service as provided at the Hotel. I don't advise the Spa for services unless they can confirm that they are fully staffed otherwise the sauna and hot tub are not maintained or regularly cleaned as the staff is primarily dedicated to massage and facial services.

Quaint boutique hotel in French Alps

Amazing boutique hotel in a quaint ski village in the alps. Would highly recommend to use as a base within the French Alps. The rooms are a bit small but overall everything was exceptional and very relaxing.

Hôtel bien placé au pied des pistes.
Le petit déjeuné est complet et de qualité.
Le restaurant est bon.
La chambre est petite et la salle de bain minuscule. Pourquoi une baignoire dans un espace si petit?
Parking extérieur à 15 euros.
Nous n'avons pas aimé les pistes glacées et recouvertes de cailloux de Serre Chevalier fin décembre 2025.

De passage à la Salle les Alpes

De retour d'Italie, étape à La Salle près de Monêtier les Bains où nous allons au ski chaque année.
Hotel très moderne mais chambre très petite et salle de bain minuscule. On a la tête dans la cloison de douche lorsque l'on est sur les toilettes.
Procédure de réception longue et compliquée. Parking payant sous dimensionné..

La struttura è molto bella. Purtroppo la mia recensione è negativa per un fatto piuttosto grave: il parcheggio interno dell’hotel è a pagamento ma l’ho scoperto solo al check out, quando mi è stato detto di saldare il costo del parcheggio. Al check in e’ stata chiesta la targa SENZA specificare che si trattava di parcheggio a pagamento. Inoltre, in quanto motociclisti, con la moto non abbiamo neanche occupato un vero posto. Anche la spa (il solo accesso alla zona termale) e’ a pagamento, altra informazione dichiarata solo sul depliant in camera all’arrivo.

Restaurant nul , pas de respect des demandes

Nous avions demandé une chambre calme en étage élevé. Résultat une chambre en bord de route en quasi réa de chaussée !!! Impossible de dormir, du bruit jusqu’à 2h du matin et de la circulation à partir de 6h. Il faut préciser qu’il faisait très très chaud, pas de Clim et nous devions laisser la fenêtre ouverte. Concernant le petit déjeuner, très quelconque avec des œufs brouillés immangeables sentant le poisson et globalement des produits de mauvaise qualité. Le pire est le restaurant a des prix stratosphériques pour une qualité déplorable surtout évitez d’y dîner

Convenable pas plus, en effet, on a eu droit à une chambre avec de la peinture craquelée, sans extérieurs, le spa annoncé n’était pas du tout inclus, même pas avec des prix préférentiels et le parking payant alors que tout autour de l’hôtel plein d’emplacement gratuits. Le personnel est très accueillant et chaleureux, mais l’hôtel était sans plus. Je n’aurais pas du tout donné un 4 étoiles à cet hôtel et je n’y reviendrai pas.

Séjour très agréable

L'hotel est très confortable. La chambre \"de luxe\" est spacieuse et très bien décorée. La salle de bains est agréable avec sa baigoire balnéo. Le spa et les soins permettent un moment de détente sympa avec un personnel attentionné. Les chambres et l'hotel en général sont d'une propreté impeccable.
Nous avons bien mangé au retaurant mais le service est un peu long. De même pour le petit déjeuner, très bon et diversifié, mais pas très bien organisé.
Le personnel est très gentil et aux petits soins.
En bref un hotel très agréable, bien situé à proximité immédiate des remontées. Attention pour le retour skieur, la piste verte était fermée, il faut un certain niveau pour emprunter la piste rouge qui vous ramène à l'hotel.

Bel hôtel très bien situé près des pistes avec un personnel agréable. Les chambres sont petites mais confortables.
Par contre un peu en dessous d’un 4 étoiles.
Il n’est pas possible de choisir la température dans les chambres et il y fait très très chaud (pas de clim). De plus, la façade est éclairée toute la nuit et les rideaux n’occultent pas donc on y dort comme en plein jour. Pour terminer, le petit déjeuner est copieux mais on aurait aimé des jus de fruits frais de la région et pas de la poudre …

Nous avons fait étape sur notre route de retour de vacances espérant un service 4*
Enorme déception! Chambre petite, porte qui ferme mal, parking avec supplément et restaurant catastrophique! L'équipe essaie avec gentillesse de faire de son mieux mais aucun n'est du métier c'est évident! Morceaux de bouchon dans le verre de vin, aucune idée de la façon dont sont cuisinés les plats ou du goût des vins (minéral? moelleux? Ils ne savent pas, ils n'ont pas goûté nous disent-ils), cheveux dans la salade...et paire de baskets sales entreposées en bas du buffet de petit-déjeuner déjeuner ! A ce prix là, passez votre chemin!!

Wir hatten eine Nacht hier für ein Zwischenstopp übernachtet. Alle sprachen einigermaßen Englisch und Service war sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist etwas weit weg von Briançon, aber dafür sehr ruhig. Zimmer inkl. Dusche / Toilette ist auch sehr sauber und angenehm.

Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel! Helaas was de hygiëne op onze kamer op bepaalde aspecten niet wat het zou moeten zijn. Gedurende het gehele verblijf werden de glazen niet ververst of gewassen. Na de eerste dag lag één van onze handdoeken achter de wc gepropt. Na de tweede dag lagen er nog twee vodden op de badkamer en op de derde dag lag er heel wat haar en stof op de badrand. Dit kan eenmalig gebeuren maar elke dag was wat veel. Prachtig hotel met een zeer goed restaurant maar jammer van de kuisploeg.

Tranquillo e confortevole

Camera molto bella, a due ambienti separati. Doppio TV e altri gadget elettronici. Bagno non grande ma moderno. Corridoi di design ma con pochissima luce. Bello il bar interno. C'è una SPA ma non ne abbiamo usufruito. Parcheggio ampio, in ottime condizioni; personale molto cortese e disponibile.

A nouveau présent au Grand Aigle pour deux jours j ai été à nouveau ravi de mon séjour. Tout est parfait le cadre le personnel et les prestations.

Excellent staff

The staff are very nice and helpful. It was our first time to briancon, not having a car with us. The staff helped us a lot looking for the place we can go, and even offered to drive us to the place we wanted to go.

Breakfast is nice
Rooms are v pretty and quiet.
They don't have air conditioning in he room, but a fan to keep the room cool. temperature in briancon was not very hot, I found it bearable.

En revanche grosse déception lors du petit déjeuner. Aucun produit artisanal ou local que de l'industriel avec peu de goût et saveur... le lait avais mauvais goût, les fruits étaient pour certains passés, tous les couverts de toutes les tables autours de la nôtre avaient des marque car ils n'avait pas été bien essuyés.
Le personnel du petit déjeuner n'est pas très à son affaire contrairement au personnel de l'accueil.
L'offre du SPA devraient être agrandie.

J’ai trouvé la chambre ridiculement petite et sans climatisation et avec les chaleurs que l’on a eu c’était très désagréable , le sèche cheveux était caché dans la coiffeuse, je ne l’ai pas trouvé !

Aangenaam meer eten kan beter en wellness beperkt

Jammer dat de wellness-infrastructuur heel beperkt is en in de praktijk zelfs eigenlijk niet beschikbaar is (heel beperkte capaciteit, op voorhand te reserveren en bij te betalen, maar in de praktijk nooit plaats).

Het eten is ook wat onder niveau voor een 4-sterren hotel.
