Well positioned opposite the railway station and a short walk from the historic centre of Mantua, this family run hotel provides clean, basic rooms (consistent with a good 3 star hotel) and a good continental buffet breakfast. We used the onsite car park for a small charge (12 Euro). Staff were all friendly and helpful.

I wanted somewhere close to the station and easy walk to town and this was that. It was so wonderfully quiet which was a real bonus. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful happy to help you with anything.

We were in Mantova specifically for the Young Fathers/Massive Attack concert in Piazza Sordello about 15 mins walk away. The hotel offered simple comfort, breakfast and parking at a reasonable price.

Very nice service, good breakfast in a spacey breakfast room. Location just across from the railway station was just what I wanted. Easily within walking distance from all the sights. Only drawback was that the outside smoking area was too close to my balcony. Wifi in the room was scarse.

A nice, comfortable, well managed property directly across from the train station. Room was spotless, includes a desk area and convenient plugs for work. The lobby has several comfortable seating areas and a full bar. The breakfast is on par with many Rome hotels, plus the Nescafé coffee machine produces really good cappuccino. The friendly and helpful staff made my stay pleasant. I recommend this hotel when visiting Montoya.

Good location, service quality could be improved

Location right across from the train station is its best feature. Easily walkable to other parts of the city. Service is somewhat stiff, awkward and distant, which is unfortunately rather typical of northern Italy. For a town so swamped by tourists you would think the staff would be more used to dealing with foreigners and non Italian speakers. Breakfast is very sparse and poor compared to many other hotels we have stayed at in the country. Overall the hotel is rather overpriced for what it offers, but once again that is typical of northern Italy.

Convenient Hotel for Train Travel and Sightseeing

As two couples traveling together, we selected this hotel for its location and price point and we stayed in two rooms for two nights. The staff was very gracious and helpful, providing directions, answering questions, and holding our bags after checkout so we could take a last morning run to see a museum before our train departure. We liked our rooms with balconies overlooking the courtyard and found them to be comfortable. There was a very good continental breakfast in the morning and additional items/drinks were always available at the lobby bar.

Nice stay

Extremely convenient hotel for a stay in Mantua. It's right across the street from the train station, but you won't hear any noise from the trains or the street. It's just a short walk to the center of the city and to the main sites. Along the way there are coffee shops, restaurants, and stores, so it's a nice area. The room was immaculately clean, and the staff was so kind, you can tell they take pride in the hotel. It's not a modern building by any means, but good for a short trip to Mantua.

Clean, but not much more. If you are not fussy, it could be ok but don't expect a 3 star hotel. It felt more like a college dormitory. The walls are thin and you can hear everything from neighbors and the hallway. The wifi does not work well and a long time to connect. I had problems on my phone and computer and it was very frustrating. The hotel is in desparate need of renovation. The breakfast was very disappointing (worst coffee in Italy) and I spotted a hotel employee pick at food with their fingers while eat from the buffet in front of hotel guests. Not very professional and not very comfortable.

Exhausted after a long train journey from Rome (2changrs) walking over the Ebra crossing into the calm of the family-run Albergo Bianchi Stazione was a delight. The inner courtyard was a pleasant retreat and the big bathroom with great shower had a good supply of towels. There are a couple of restaurants in easy walking distance and the historic centre easily walkable...we seniors managed fine! Spotlessly clean rooms and sheets and towels changed regularly. Excellent value for money. The hotel had prepared for my Gluten Free diet for breakfast too, a big plus!

Hotel with great location for train station

A very pleasant stay, a short walk into the centre of Mantova, literally a stones throw from the train station. Perfect if you are travelling around by train. Room was ample and comfortable. The breakfast buffet generous. I would recommend it to a friend.

Friendly service but hotel a little tired

We stayed here for three nights and used it as a base for exploring the surrounding area. The staff were extremely friendly and the location is great. The hotel is a little old but that didn't really bother us. The only complaint we had is that the air conditioning is not great, even at full power the room was still extremely warm and stuffy. Overall fine for the price.

A great location for those arriving by train.

The hotel is directly across the street from the railroad station. It is an older building in keeping with the neighborhood and is a moderate walk to historic sites along several lovely streets. The whole city of Mantua is quite walkable and rather flat. The rooms were comfortable but a bit austere. The bathroom was fine and comfortable. The desk staff were very helpful. A central location in an old well preserved medieval city.

Our room was generous in size and well appointed. The hotel was accessible easily and parking was convenient. However I was very disappointed by the breakfast which was by far the worst in quality we found in all the hotels we stayed in in Italy. The quality was better on the last day of our three day stay so it is possible there was a reason we were not aware off! Stale bread and no meat/cheese other than little packets of pepperoni were a let down.

Excellent location for us, its opposite the railway station for convenient travel to other town & its a short walk to the historic centre. Bus stops also outside.
We requested & got a room overlooking the central courtyard which was very quiet at night. Good sized double bed & excellent air conditioning. Room basic but adequate. Shower good with basic toiletries Even though very hot outside we could turn off the air conditioning overnight & slept well.
We like to take breakfast inclusive & were wary here due to other reviews. These were justified. Most items seemed to be from packeted products. No selection of continental meats or cheeses except small pieces of rolled 'salami sticks' (horrid!) and packets of 7cm square processed cheese. Toaster provided. 3 bowls of cornflake based cereals. Plain yoghurt only. Breads OK, croissants, pastries often dry. Packeted jams. Choice of 2 fruit juices. Fresh fruit -mostly apples & oranges plus few nectarines & kiwi fruit. Hot drinks served individually-coffee excellent but you had to ask if you wanted further cups-refills never offered.
Hotel used by tour parties on some nights. Breakfast room very full then. Other mornings just 1 or 2 other guests. Staff disappeared once hot drinks served.
Internet access (1hr sessions) & WiFi available to guests.
Tip - Tourist info centre v helpful, their map better than hotel one.
We'd recommend the hotel for basic good value but with some strong reservations on the breakfast.

Hotel is very convenient, directly opposite station, but close to town centre. Even though it's near the station the area is fine and there is no traffic noise.
The hotel is nice. The rooms are clean and large, and everything is well maintained. It's not particularly special, but for the price is very good value. Staff are friendly, and breakfast good.

Altogether a well-run hotel. The location is a ten minute walk to the town centre, but just opposite the station. There are good, inexpensive restaurants nearby.

This hotel is generally ok for the money. The main drawbacks were : the room was far too hot, even with the radiators off, and we had to have the french door open all the time which was draughty, the plumbing noises from other rooms was enough to wake the dead, and the breakfasts were a bit lacking in fruit and coffee.

Nice, relaxing place.Beautiful courtyard garden and helpful but unobtrusive staff - they lent me an umbrella when it poured.Airy, clean and only a walk across the zebra crossing from the station.Main restaurants within easy walking distance, as were the principal monuments.

My only petty gripe was with the constant busy-ness of staff in the breakfast room - detracted from a relaxed start to the day.

Pleasant small hotel, and despite being close to the station, so on a fairly busy road, our inner room overlooking the courtyard was very quiet and comfortable. Very convenient if arriving by train, and about a 10 minute walk from the main tourist centre. Despite our very poor Italian language skills the staff were very helpful and friendly, and it was altogether a pleasant stay.

Vor dem Hotel ist eine grosse Baustelle, weshalb wir die Albergo nur mühsam gefunden haben.
Das Zimmer war sehr klein, keine Abstellplätze, keine Aufhängeeinrichtungen. Die Dusche sehr eng, die Duschbrause oben fix, also nicht abnehmbar, unangenehm! Frühstück mager!
Das Ganze entspricht nicht der angezeigten Bewertung!

Hotel a conduzione familiare. I proprietari, molto gentili, si occupano di qualsiasi dettaglio. La struttura è datata, ma ristrutturata. Pareti imbiancate, sanitari, doccia e termosifoni sono nuovi. Condizionatore sanificato che non sa di polvere. Stanza, asciugamani e letto puliti. La mia aveva anche un balconcino con tavolo e 2 sedie. La colazione ha sia dolce che salato (cornetti, yogurt, torte, marmellate, formaggi e affettati, mandorle e noci secche). Tutta la notte è presente un custode. C'è un bar interno per necessità improvvise o l'Esselunga a pochi isolati. È a 5 Min dal centro a piedi e ha un cortile interno per parcheggiare al costo 12€ (gli altri hotel di zona tutti 20€). Se non avete bisogno del lusso e del design, questo hotel ha tutto quello che serve. Infine si sta nella città vecchia a un costo notevolmente inferiore al prezzo medio. Rapporto qualità prezzo, a mio parere, eccellente. Lo consiglio.

Letto comodo, bagno nella norma.
Colazione buona per il dolce un po' meno il salato.
Prezzo nella media ( due notti 140€ ).
La città è cara, due panini con cotechino e coppa 13. €.
Un piatto di tortellini in bianco con parmigiano e una bottiglia di acqua 13€.
Passando ho visto la vetrina che pubblicizzava il lavaggio e la stiratura di una camicia a 2€.
Comoda la Mantova card 25 € per i musei e i mezzi pubblici.
Nel complesso bella città.

Abbiamo soggiornato solamente una notte per un concerto. Tutto perfetto, dalla colazione super abbondante alla disponibilità del personale.
Posizione molto comoda, in 10 minuti abbiamo raggiunto il centro a piedi. Per chi non riesce a parcheggiare in struttura, c'è un parcheggio a pagamento sotterraneo a 5 minuti a piedi.

Esta literalmente enfrente de la estacion de tren. Estuve 2 dias, me hicieron el favor de guardarme la mochila mientras fui a visitar Sabionetta el 2° dia. Me gusto que el personal, todos muy amables, era cincuenton-sesenton, no se porque transmitia sensacion de confianza. La habitacion bien, cama grande y espacio en la mesa de escritorio para dejar las cosas y baño con espacio. El desayuno tambien bien, de todo, pero yo quitaria tanto bollo para meter otras opciones. Si sales por la noche tienes que dejar la llave en el hotel, supongo que sera porque hay personal dentro. Aparte, fuera de las horas de desayuno en recepción tienen maquina de cafe y al irme esperando al tren para otro sitio, me tome uno.

Vicino alla stazione

L'hotel è ubicato proprio di fronte alla stazione ed il centro è raggiungibile con 10 minuti di passeggiata piacevole. La colazione è a buffet ed è molto variegata sebbene con molti prodotti confezionati, scelta molto probabilmente dettata dalla pandemia. Il personale della reception è stato molto gentile e ci ha elargito consigli preziosi sia sulla scelta dei ristoranti che sui posti da visitare.

emplacement pratique pour visiter mantoue
bien que en face de la gare la chambre est assez silencieuse des bruits exterieurs par contre on entends tout ce qui se passe dans les autres chambres et le systeme d eau est tres bruyant
l ensemble de l hotel est assez vieux
le petit dejeuner tres decevant pour le prix car rien de frais tout sous vide

Hjälpsam personal på centralt hotell

Rymligt rum i centrum! Vi trivdes i Mantova och fick ett fint välkomnande på hotellet. Vi fick en karta och tips om sevärdheter. Vårt rum var tyst och rymligt. Vi nyttjade hotellets parkering för 12 euro. Vi fick ha kvar bilen där även efter att vi checkat ut och lunchade på stan. Eftersom alla restauranger stänger kl:18, så beställde vi mat till hotellet. Mannen i receptionen dukade åt oss med vit duk, tallrikar och glas. Jättetrevligt!
