Both receptionists, Clarissa and Nicole, were exceptionally helpful. Other than this, I struggle to find anything positive about this hotel for the following reasons: The bathroom was far too small and grubby. Placing the new toilet roll on top of the toilet brush is not anyone’s idea of standard sanitation. The toiletries provided included shower gel and body lotion but no shampoo. The shower pressure was not stable and the wall mounted hairdryer did not feel safe to use. The bathroom sink was blocked. Both girls doubled as receptionist and waiting staff at breakfast, likely to lead to logistic issues and delays if you have an early train to catch needing to check out at breakfast time. The hotel details on Expedia indicated a room safe was available but it turned out that none of the rooms had electronic safe. Unfortunately, there was no safe deposit box in reception either. A discussion with the owner based on what we had booed on Expedia and what we were getting, wasted a good half hour.It was disappointing to be told by the owner that she was not responsible for what was stated on Expedia and that given our expectations perhaps we should have considered staying elsewhere. This did not give me a perception of the owner being service oriented and further discussions would have been fruitless. Overall, and despite the two young ladies’ efforts, I would not stay here again and the price of 126 euro per night was not justified for what the hotel is offering.

A Charming Hotel in the Heart of Historic Manuta

The Hotel Broletto is a charming hotel in the heart of Mantua, only steps away from the historic sites and museums. The staff is very friendly and helpful, including calling me when my train delayed my arrival. They serve a very nice breakfast with homemade muffins and cakes, which were all tasty. My room was very spacious and comfortable.

Great stay in the center of a historic city

We had the large, I think, \"family\" room with a king-sized bed and a small couch, which was probably a sleep sofa. All was clean and attractive though a little short on amenities -- not enough toilet paper, no tissues, just 3 tea bags, etc. Location was perfect - right in the center of town. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Personnel were friendly and helpful.

Charming Hotel in a charming City

One of the nicest hotels ever.
Excellent location in the heart of the medieval city.
Reception and staff are superb.
The room was charming and provided every facility and toiletry possible.
The breakfast room and food were exquisite.
I shall definitely stay again, for longer.

Very nice hotel in the very center of the city

We enjoyed staying at this hotel at the very end of August 2016. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave us excellent suggestions for eating places.The location was perfect, close to Palazzo Ducale and all major attractions. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Our only suggestions would be to add English language channels for TV. ( at least one!). However, Wi Fi worked very well, so overall that was not a problem. Highly recommend this hotel to other visitors.

Great location, helpful friendly staff

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased with our choice. Staff were very helpful and courteous at all times. The location is perfect - right in the historic centre of Mantua about two minutes stroll from the Ducal Palace and very convenient for good bars and restaurants. Yet our room (3rd floor) was very quiet.

Very disappointed

My air conditioner barely blew out any cold air and another room was great a/c as an example. I had to open my windows and the street noise on a Friday night kept me up til 3 AM. Bed very hard. They refused to make any allowance for extremely poor blower on a/c.

Fantastic location and Michelin guided

This was a one night stay for us in Mantova, the hotel is located right in the centre of the town, one piazza away from piazza Erbe, so location is unbeatable. Car parking was very easy and cheap, €2.60 for 24 hours, ticket available at reception. The staff were very helpful and courteous and the restaurant recommendations were perfect for us, i.e. \"non touristica\". The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a large selection of local produce and coffee was excellent. We loved our stay in this hotel.

Mantova -- shopping, history and food delight!!!

Stay here for the great location. Not much English spoken by the staff-- mostly young kids with little hospitality experience. And if you're looking for any area guide info in English forget it- bring a guide book with you. Charming town with many small streets to explore!

Great hotel right in the middle of the town.

Less than 2 minutes from the best gelateria, very good restaurants and the cluster of main piazzas. We did Mantova within 2 days including 2 hour boat ride on lake. Would like to go again, see Sant'Andrea without scaffolding.

Best place to stay in centro storico Mantua.

This is a delightful little hotel centrally, and excellently, located in Mantua. Very close to the Main Piazza and the Ducale Palace, it the perfect place to stay in old Mantua. Charming staff, family operated, it provided great access to Mantua. It is a three star hotel and one must keep that in mind when booking. But if you are only in Mantova for one or two nights I would strongly suggest staying here.

The hotel was in an excellent spot in middle of Mantua. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, especially the two young ones we saw most of the time, one of whom was kind enough to phone a museum for us to check that it was open.

We had a lovely time in Mantua a great place to visit a hidden gem of Italy.The hotel is very clean and well run.The breakfast is very good the owner does a lot of home cooking.The hotel is just off the main square.

A very nice and central hotel in a fine city

We stayed for three nights at Hotel Broletto's Residenza and were very pleased both with it and with our first visit to Mantova. Hotel staff were particularly helpful when my wife needed to see a doctor in the late evening. We're happy to recommend the Broletto and will stay there on any return visit to Mantova, a lovely small city.

1 nite, very lucky to find street parking. Market day was the next day which complicates parking if you are not lucky. Room was in a different building than where we checked in (!). Modern room, clean. OK breakfast in same building as our room. Great location.

Great location & friendly service

I had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was near shopping, sites and wonderful restaurants. The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. They let us leave our luggage and use wifi after checkout until late afternoon. I would definitely stay here again.

Although you couldn't ask for a better location in mantova, and the owners are very nice, the hotel itself is cold and minimal. I stayed in the annex, and there were basic amenities lacking that would have really improved the stay - full length mirror, hooks for the towels, wastepaper basket in the bedroom, something on the walls. plus breakfast was minimal - it never looked abundant, but as if there were only two pieces of cake cut up into tiny pieces. they were nice, but I think investing a little more in creature comforts would make this a place I would want to return to rather than one I wouldn't

Great location, solid 3 star hotel

The hotel is divided in two buildings: the old hotel and the \"residenzia\" with 10 rooms, recently renovated. Excellent sound insulation, and very clean/modern facilities. My wife and I stayed at the latter building in a junior suite (larger room with an additional small bed/sofa) with views over Piazza Broletto. The location is amazing, right at the centre of the historic town. We could visit, shop and dine within a 0 to 5 minute walk. Continental breakfast and internet are included. The rooms lack a phone, so you have to go to the first floor to call, which is cumbersome if you need something from the front desk. Parking is on the street within the \"limited access area\" with a permit that the hotel provides. All in all, we enjoyed very much our visit to Mantua!

Wir haben bei ebookers ein Zimmer mit 25 qm bestellt und dies wurde auch von ebookers nach extra Anfrage auch so bestätigt. Vor Ort mussten wir aber um diese Zimmergrösse zu erhalten, einen Aufpreis von Eur 30 bezahlen, da wir 2 Nächte geblieben sind enstanden uns Mehrkosten von Eur 60. Gemäss Aussage des Hotels sei dies ein Fehler von ebookers. Ich habe mich prr e-mail an enookers gewandt aber nur die Antwort erhalten, ebookers würde sich mit dem Hotel in Verbindung setzen und abklären. Das war vor 2 Tagen und seitdem nichts mehr gehört.
