Lucas the staff was very nice and professional! Lucas made my check in process, nice and easy. I think that the building condition was poorly structured. Outside of the rooms did not seem clean. I really wished the places was more clean and nice. I paid $70/night. Breakfast was so cheap. There was not hot food such as scrambled egg, sausage, or anything like that. I won’t book again, unfortunately.

The pool is completely boarded up, however they are associated with the hotel next door and use of that pool. The associate who checked us in was very nice. Some of the clientele were a bit sketchy, which isn't the hotels fault, however when those people partied/fought between midnight and 530 am, it was loud, disturbing, and a bit scary. No, we didn't notify the hotel about it. The room was clean, no issues there. Somewhere I read the words \"Breakfast Buffet\". Their version of that and mine are not the same. The only hot item was waffles. Anyway, the price was fine, staff was nice, and room was clean. Easy stop between Vegas and home.

Killed a cockroach in my room as it crawled up the wall behind my nightstand…all towels were dirty, had to wait for receptionists to finish giggling/joking with 2 other coworkers behind a curtain prior to acknowledging me sitting at their desk for a few minutes. My thermostat was not working, the linens looked used, the elevator seems like it’s going to break soon, the breast was very basic but ok.

I reserved a room that was an handicap accessible room and they gave me a room on the 3rd floor and get this the elevator was out of service for my whole stay. So my wife and I had to climb up three flights of stairs! Breakfast is exactly what you would expect nothing special. No bacon or sausage. Just hard boiled eggs with cereal, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee and bread bagels. Also no laundry room and Crackheads everywhere beware. Didn’t see any security on duty.

The bathroom ceiling had mold and cracks, the doors and walls and surfaces were very dirty, the elevator was broken, the walls are super thin so you can hear every footstep above you and every convo around you. Then they have the audacity to charge $100 deposit which is $20 more than the cost of the room. I have stayed at other hotels in Merced for the same price and they were clean and fine so I didn’t think this one would be so bad but it was one of the worst motels I have ever stayed in.

Worst hotel ever. Cheap maintenance. I went with my family for a night and I got disgusted with in so many ways. First the clerk asked me to swupe credit card for depaoit, which I did twice and he said it was declined but my bank showed transaction went through 3 times. Inspite of me showing the transaction he asked me what is my CC limit, very odd.
2nd, elevator did not work so we had ro go up 3 floors with luggage. 3rd room key did not work, so I came down and the guy tried and he said thw key card machine is not woking. It was night 1am and was tierd figuring out their technical issues. Finally he said I will.open with master key so I can get in. 4th, found two cockroaches, at that point ignored and slept. 5th issue, next day morning, no hor water, called front desk and said he told maintwnance and asked me to wait 10 minutes. 6th issue, Breakfast is a joke. I just left the hotel and told the clerk But he didn't care much. Stay away from this hotel.

Someone went into our room while we were out.. not sure if anything was missing but the feeling of safety was gone. I was paranoid all night and to make matters worst. The people next door was partying all night! we didn’t get any sleep all night until morning. Tired with a long drive home. I have to say.. it was a terrible experience.

During my stay, some teenagers were up to about 1 am being teenagers, and later in the evening the internet was nearly unusable. However, the bed was really comfortable, the fridge worked well, the toilet had a powerful flush and breakfast was plentiful.

The most senseless front desk person who extended my booking for random people (or himself) without confirming my details.

The idiocy of the manager there has reached the moon. Dumb and blind, not sure how he scored that, but has not got the slightest effort to understand what has happened and avoid checking the CCTV, to verify our existence, because he wants to pocket some more money. Looks like a professional in this dirty game!

I would kindly advise all and any travellers visiting Merced, book a better hotel for some more money to avoid getting overcharged later. You'll thank me later!

He estado en hoteles de la misma cadena y nunca me había ido tan mal.
Empecemos por lo bueno, una buena ubicación a dos horas de Yosemite, con gasolinera y algunos lugares cercanos para comer, el desayuno que sirven es bastante abundante y variado por lo que acá no hay problema todo bien. Ahora los puntos que definitivamente deben mejorar, las instalaciones en general bastantes sucias, las paredes manchadas, los cuartos con señales de desgaste donde se nota que no se han preocupado por mantener el hotel, las camas si eran cómodas, pero el cuarto tenía ruidos por todos lados, encender el aire acondicionado era tener un ruido espantoso en el cuarto y con el calor de julio tuvimos que decidir entre dormir con ruido o dormir con calor, optamos por dormir con calor ya que el ruido del aire acondicionado era aterrador, el refrigerador también hacía demasiado ruido por lo que tuvimos que desconectarlo para evitar, ir al baño y encender la luz ni que decir ya que el extractor de olores hacia un ruido horrible (normalmente en otros hoteles siempre hay dos interruptores, uno para la luz y otro para el extractor) pero acá si hacía mucho ruido, al caminar por el cuarto se sentían como agujeros en el piso que se cubrían con la alfombra, la TV estaba como asegurado con un tubo y al pasar frente a la TV sonaba feo y vibraba. El cuarto tenía un olor a humedad y los dos días que estuvimos nos apareció chinches del campo (insecto inofensivo para el humano, no es la chinche tradicional).

The Motel and Room from Hell!

We were placed in an accessible room that had not been prepared for us. This room should never have been occupied, the carpet in the room was soaking wet from runoff from the shower. There was no phone, chair, coffee maker, or clock. How folks would contact anyone if we had a problem was unknown. As I usually do, I placed my worn underware on the floor by where cloths are hung, they were soaking wet the next morning. There were no clathes hangers for handing trousers, only clip hangers, and if one used these for trousers, the trousers would have been wet. No effort was made on our behalf, although, we were offered a change of rooms but by then we were unpacked and only staying one more night. We reported the problems but except for being allowed to take the desk chair from the lobby, which I had to lift over the bed to get it to the desk, no change. This room should never be rented until the entire bathrooom and shower is fixed so the water from the shower doesn't flow onto the carpet in the room.

In Ridgecrest, there was easy access to the room.
In Artesia, access to the room wasn’t easy, and the breakfast was lousy - complete with frozen waffles and sloppy, soupy oatmeal.
In Merced, the door lock on the room was broken. Front desk staff had to accompany each time my wife returned to the room in order to unlock it with a master key.

Overall, this was a great deal for the price. I would say this is a three star hotel. The pros are that it offered a full breakfast, was reasonably priced, and our room was pretty nice. The cons are that the bath/shower were a bit old and rundown with rips in the shower curtain. Also, the front desk clerk said that they would offer breakfast meat however, when we arrive for breakfast the next morning, no breakfast meats were offered. There was plenty of parking and the hotel staff was very accommodating and courteous. There is no pool as the pool area was boarded up. The hotel is situated in a moderate, middle income residential area. The hotel is conveniently located approximately 6 miles from the UC Merced campus, which makes it convenient if you’re staying in town to visit a student.

The beds are super uncomfortable, the frames are coming apart and the sheets and towels are like sand paper. We had our infant baby and our toddler, and could not shower them because there was no hot water. The front desk people really did their best to accommodate us by moving us to three different rooms but they all had no hot water. We ended up moving to a different hotel. They told us we would be reimbursed but could not issue the reimbursement directly to us because the reservation was made through hotels.com
It's been 6 days now and I received an email from hotels.com saying they could not process my reimbursement.
This is a summary of a extremely long and inconvenient experience.

Unfortunately i have to leave this review. Staff service was accommodating but the room experience was not. We arrived at 11pm. The first room I was given the furniture was pulled out and the electricity did not work. The receptionist told me that the whole 3rd floor was being remodled and just made available. The second room was not accommodating our reservation needs and the furniture was pulled out, and Devon was very helpful to say he would look to see if there was another room available after finding us the 3rd room by 12a.m. the room was fine but had trash behind the chair. It was a horrible room experience!

Housekeeping needs better training and someone needs to follow up to be sure cleaning is completed. Behind and the bottom of the toilet is often overlooked. In my room there was dried urine and hair at the base of the toilet. Lots of scratches and paint missing on the walls and some sort of splatter on the ceiling. Just things that can be easily fixed to bring up the room a bit.
One other thing is the very large gap ubder the door that allows the cold air to blow in but a bath towel took care of that.

Good price, ok for a one night stay. The rooms need a little updating and maintenance, there's visible paint chipping, etc. The exhaust fan in our specific bathroom was very noisy! I also don't understand why hotels insist on using curved shower curtain rods, the curtain never stayed closed and consequently the bathroom floor got wet.

The breakfast is very basic, just breads, cereal and waffles, juices, yogurt and milk; coffee ran out and the person in charge of the breakfast area was MIA. I had to go to the front desk to request more coffee, they then offered me coffee from their lobby coffee pot but even that one was empty. It took about 10 minutes for her to come back in, at which point she started cleaning up even though there was still about 30 minutes left of breakfast time. It also took another 10-15 minutes for her to put out another pot of coffee.

The front desk was very good in accommodating my partner and I when there was some issue with the first two room. We were unable to access the first room due battery issue for door. Front desk was able to move us to the same floor level (1) but the room had a funky smell. The bathroom smell was unpleasant. I checked the bed and the bedsheet smelt like it wasn’t changed. To bluntly say that the sheet smell like poo. It was unbearable even after spraying cologne. I didn’t want to make it complicated and I offer to personally replace the sheet to avoid any issue but the front desk was able to move my partner and I to a better room. I would like to say that the employee was great and understanding of our situation.

I stayed here last year on the third floor and had a great experience, but last night was very different. The check-in process was wonderful, but the ground-floor room I stayed in had roaches, big and small. I woke up and found a 1-inch roach next to the light switch. I also found two tiny roaches on the bathroom floor and crawling on the nightstand next to the bed. My room was also next to the ice machine, and there appeared to be a crack on the bottom of the door because I could hear everything from outside.

The room is out dated and the ground has a brown print on it but it just looks dirty.

The walls are thin. I heard the person next door through the walls while he was in the restroom.

I wont be staying here again unless they do a deep clean.
