The woman at the desk was great and the check in went fine. Our room was on the second floor (no elevator, but that was fine with us). The room was pretty large and clean. The shower head was kind of like a firehose and couldn't be adjusted and it was no firmly attached to the wall. The shower curtain was a little grungy, but otherwise the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked and there was a coffeemaker, microwave and small fridge. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice.

You almost get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for in most cases, but even at the modest price the Applegate Inn fell short. It's the cheapest of everything and some of those things need to be replaced to include the shower head and bath mat, both pictured. Also, you're backed up to an expressway and across from a rail line so it's rather loud at times. I took a 'shower' and a nap then left rather than spend the night.

Overall, this is an older place but well maintained, nothing fancy. The passing trains blowing their horns was a bit much though. Though the grounds seemed clean, there was a slight odor of urine in the air. This however did not affect the room. The room was no-frills but comfy.

It's a hole in the wall that need to be condemned they took my money didn't let me in the room and I have been traveling all night and the reason why they took my money is because they didn't make it clear that you need to put a $60 cash deposit so I was clear in another world 4 hours away from my loved ones and never was able to get in the room I slept in that car in my night that night in tears wondering if somebody would kill me in the car it was really traumatic experience for me I'm very sorry to inform you of this but this is a place that needs structure or to be condemned it was plenty of prostitutes and pimps outside the hotel and there was plenty of people walking to and fro so I don't know why he wanted my money in cash but God bless him

Pros: convenient location, affordable, near shopping and dining, room had wood laminate floors, bed was comfortable.
Cons: toiletries were 1 packet of 2-1 shampoo, conditioner and some small soap bars, no Kleenex in room. had to get ice from office even though there was a working ice machine, no continental breakfast, no bedside lamps in room 112. Linens and towels were stained. A train track and crossing are directly behind hotel.

This motel is not a great place to stay if you actually want to sleep. I was up all night with people partying and doing drugs outside my door. Called the desk at 2:30 am - she said she would call their room… not sure how she could know what room they were in- as they were just hanging outside. I also asked to talk to manager and nobody would come to the desk or return my messages. Absolutely horrible and druggy friendly.

I checked in went to the room and the room had flies and was dirty, switched rooms still flies and dirty. It was only me and my daughter she did not feel safe. Within an hour of checking in I asked for a refund or even partial refund told the employee the room is inadequate and my daughter did not feel safe. No refund, I left.

Based on the reviews, I expected surfaces to be dirty and the general experience to be subpar, but I was pleasantly surprised. They have linoleum hard floors that look like hard wood, so no carpet. The couch was leather, easily wiped down. All surfaces were very clean. I did not see one bug. The only complaint I had was that the bathroom linens were old and very badly stained. They smelled so strongly of bleach that I was fine using them.

I wasn’t fussed about it but the area is very noisy and is right next to a train track so you might get woken up in the wee hours of the morning (3am) by a passing train. Just fair warning for the light sleepers.

No Recommended drive the extra few miles away

Very old looking and had an old odor and the AC was off so we walked into a 100% degree room. Thank God we just had to sleep and leave the next day. Hotels.com messed us up on our first room at Wyndham when we go there they said it was canceled not sure if that was a scam by Wydom to get more money from us but this is why we ended up here.

Worst hotel/motel stay that I ever had. The shower was filthy. The floor was filthy. It was noisy. Warning: there are train tracks nearby, and the trains run during the night.
We had booked the room for two nights. When we came back for the second night, we found that our towels had been taken as well as the floor mat for the shower/tub. When we asked for towels, they delivered them unfolded (we had to trust that they were actually clean towels) and refused to give us two hand towels.

So the clientele that patron this hotel are completely undesirable. They were up all night coming and going as if they were making delivery’s. Cars came and went all night. Seemed as if random cars drove through all night reving their engines.(just for fun). To top it all off the property sits next to train tracks. Trains passed through all night every couple hours, and of course blowing their horn. So I think I got about an hour of sleep.

This location has people smoking pot in the parking areas and plenty of people out late in the parking area drinking and smoking and the rooms smell very bad. Like someone just finish smoking inside the room prior to our arrival.

Do not call to cancel as they will not allow you to cancel. From the outside looks nice, but the inside is sincerely a smelling problem. I had reserved two rooms and both were so bad. We left the hotel and went to another hotel to enjoy a safe, clean & non-smelly room.

You will not feel safe at this location.
