Bathtub plug broken, big hole in bath mat, no wash rags, broken toilet paper holder, no drain cover in sink, alarm clock kept time but you couldn't set alarm, main room light flickered, broken lamp shade, bedside lamp had 1 of 2 light bulbs out, and floor was dirty. The only good thing was the linens were clean and there was no sign of bed bugs.

The shower didn't have water; I had to leave at 4am for the airport but couldn't take a shower.
And here was an old coffee pad in the coffee maker.
And the staff wanted me to pay cash for the deposit; they only agreed to using my card after I told them I must leave at 4am.
I hope I will get my deposit back; planning to call them now.

Only 3 cars on the parking lot, I was shown 6 rooms no tv, roaches in the fridge, heat in two rooms did not work. Tapes were on all the doors that were prep for painting. Rooms were cold and damp, no blanket on the beds. The rooms were not fit for habitat, the gate to the pet area was unlock no lights and was open into an alley.
I asked management why the gate was not lock and give key to guests who have pet. Response he would lock the gate. Management stated they had just purchase the property and now doing repairs. I mentioned repairs should be done before offer to guest. I was showed 6?rooms and neither was acceptable for 2 women and a 4 year old child on medication that need refrigeration. The place was disgustingly filthy,

It’s close to shopping and was clean. It was under renovations so no breakfast available. The peephole on the front door was missing, so there was literally a hole you could poke your finger through. The mini fridge was not very cold. Maybe it will be better after the renovations are done.

The room is clean parking was really close to the room very easy to get in and out of the property. The manager and staff were extremely friendly we were having trouble connecting to the cable manager didn't hesitate for a second she went straight to the room and helped us set it up was done super fast and they were friends we stayed three days two nights. I love that we had an iron ironing board microwave refrigerator and hair dryer. My husband and I especially loved the refrigerator and microwave I saved us a lot of money on having to go out to eat. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family and I would definitely be coming back for our next getaway.

Ended up leaving and going to the Marriott. I didn't expect much at this price point; however, I was at least hoping for a clean and safe room. It appears that there are new rooms on one side of the parking lot (as shown in the photo), but that's not what I got.

There was no cold water in the bathroom sink, no shower curtain, no phone, missing lightbulbs, one towel, no way to secure the door from the inside, and a chair that I wouldn't even let my dog sit on. The pool was empty and looked like it hadn't been used in a long time, but a nice photo was included in my Expedia travel confirmation email.

Now begins the battle to get my money back. By the way, the Marriott was great.

Thin walls and they need bleach!

At first glance seemed fine when we checked in. Then we noticed dog prints on our sheets. The towels and sheets weren’t “dirty” but they definitely weren’t bleached. You could see everything which was gross. Then went into the bathroom and the garbage wasn’t emptied from the previous guests. Gross again. We went to bed then shortly after our neighbors checked in. It felt like they were in our room. Also the ice machine was not working.
The lady that checked us in was very friendly and I also noticed they had cameras facing the parking lot which made us feel better about parking our car there.

TRAVELODGE NIGHTMARE IN MERCED

It was the worst experience ever. The first room given to us was dirty. The second room was a bit kept better but obviously unmaintained with a little friend called cockroach in the bathroom. The photos on the website are from 20 years ago or whenever the dingy hotel was built. The beds are the most uncomfortable ones we’ve ever slept on with bumps that made our backs ache in the morning. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DO NOT STAY HERE.

The manager wasn’t helpful regarding the tv in one room that wasn’t working, and finally moved me to another room where the bathroom light was out. I asked for a bulb to replace, but he never got off his butt to get me a new bulb.

Worst Hotel Ever.

The place is so run down. Shower head was barely strong enough to wash body but having long hair was troublesome so didn't even bother to wash hair again in the morning. Toilet bowl has color stain as its seems like water been sitting there for a awhile. Kids wanted to swim in the pool that why they book the place but it was in a horrible state, half filled and dirty green water. TV was broken, AC cover was broken, no Microwave, no Coffee pot, no Towels, and all bed sheets including blankets was stained even when we ask for another bed cover. We had to keep the AC on all night because the room smell like smoke. Luckily we brought our own towels because their towels smell and not even white. Please take them off Hotels.com as we are very unsatisfied this this stay. A full refund would be very appreciated since we all suffered a horrible time not being able to enjoy a clean restfull night after a long day at the lake. Wish I could've taken more photos to document the horrible conditions.

Weekend Horror in Merced California

The weather was pretty hot 108 for Merced, upon checking into our room we noticed the pool area rope off closed and green water and trash all in the pool! We tried to go get Ice and ice machine out of order and the vending machine are out of order!! We go to turn on our TV and No Signal TV out of order! No WiFi service either at this hotel . We went to complain to front desk and wouldn't answer the door. I went back to the room use the phone rang rang they wouldn't answer!!! We were so exhausted from our trip from Las Vegas Nevada to Merced California we said we would try and talk to them on Saturday the agent said his manager will get back to me. Never happened upon check out Sunday morning there office closed and no answer the phone either on this day . Horrible experience with this location. The only one thing I can say was they had good AC and good water pressure for cold showers! Never coming back to this property again Jorge Martinez

Worst experience, had to be switch out of rooms three times. Manager was very unpleasant, he was sleeping and seemed annoyedwhen we arrived for check in. We checked in at around 7pm. We selected this hotel because of the pool (I have pictures) Pool was out of service, green water.

First room- the bathroom lights were out

Second room- smoke smell, we had requested non-smoking.

Third room- our final option, dirty, air-conditioner smelled weird and curtains were all stained.

Manager, was very rude, was not answering our calls and lock himself in the office for hours. Other guest waited up to an hour to check in.

Houskeeping didn't come in the room to clean, not once in 4 days. The waste baskets were not emptied. The shower was lukewarm to cold. The swimming pool was filthy and looked like it hadn't been used in years. The bed sheets looked as though they hadn't been changed. I should have checked out on the first day but the reservation was prepaid and I doubt I would have gotten a refund, so I toughed it out, I won't do that again!

We checked in and checked out within the hour,we had a very low wi-fi signal, the pool was empty and full of trash while it’s 110 degrees out, should have had it ready for summer! The room itself was clean but definitely not what you see in pictures, there’s just enough space in the room for you to walk in, not comfortable for two or more people, bathroom door wouldn’t close, and in a room that small you definitely need the bathroom door to close, definitely a two star type of hotel for one person

The main reason why i booked this hotel, was because of the swimming pool. I have posted a picture of what the pool looks like right now. It's full of mildew, there is trash floating and it smells. You can see the other picture I posted. This picture shows a crystal blue swimming pool. Nowhere does it say that the pool is close. When i mentioned this during check in. The person just said \"no pool\" and shrugged his shoulders. Aside from the pool, the room smelled like cigarette smoke and I woke up with a sore throat from it. I will never stay here again.

So upon arrival the office was closed & a sign stated “Closed” I’ve always stayed at this hotel since my son began attending UC Merced almost 4 years ago. This time was different, the hotel was dirty but most importantly UNSAFE. My son & daughter were with me & there were a few people walking around the parking lot, a guy looked in our room as he walked by, knocked on a room door upstairs & then proceeded to walk back by look in our room again. The room smelled like smoke, I asked to be changed but then a homeless woman tried to go in the laundry woman with her bag of clothes & the office clerk had to go and kick her out. I went to call the front office & there was no phone cord it was just the phone which tells me that if I did need help I wouldn’t be able to get any. My kids & I immediately got out of there. The young man, i believe the owners son, cancelled my room. I’ve never had issues but this time it was completely unsafe for me & my family.

The pictures showed something completely different from what we got in person we asked why the room look different from the pictures and said if we came earlier we would’ve gotten the rooms in the pictures. It was basically like a first come first serve but they never stayed it until the booking or else we would’ve came earlier. The too we got was extremely small and the bed was a full, we had booked for a queen. We called the front office and they asked for 20$ extra for one of the rooms we originally booked for. Stay away from this place. I usually read the review of a place before I book, but, knowing that I had good experience with Travelodge by Windham, I blindsided booked this place WITHOUT read the reviews. Apparently, this became the worst hotel I stayed during my trip. All the things that all bad reviews given by people is true! I notice there are some good reviews, I wonder, is it a bot?

So here's the list:

1. It stated in the advertisement that we will get breakfast, apparently, we did not!
2. The pool is not working
3. The most essential thing which is hot shower, is not working! The concierge said he will check, but he never came.
4. The phone is not working.
5. The ice maker machine is not working.
6. There is no smoke detector, they uninstall it.
7. The concierge is not nice at all. It seems the whole family lives there.
8. The peephole on the door is broken and they just put tissue to cover it!
9. Not enough key security for the door.
10. The room and situation is not as it advertised.
11. It says they have 24hour concierge, but I was there at 2pm, 7am, 8am, 10am, it was closed.
12. The wifi is not working.

I think Windham should revoke this place as part of their chain!

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The location is not as it appears on the app, and the place was incredibly dirty. There were stains on the floor and walls from spilled liquids, the room did not have a reliable lock from the inside, and there were an excessive number of bugs flying around, particularly over the sink. Additionally, the air conditioning was very noisy and filled with trash, and the restroom exhaust did not function properly. To top it off, the pool water was green.

My family traveled to Merced this past weekend. We were visiting The University of Merced.

We had the worst hotel stay ever!!

I've stayed at other Wyndham properties before and never Have I had an experience like this.

No 24/7 front desk.
The front desk person had no customer service skills. Very unprofessional.

The room has a very horrible stench.
The lights don't work.
The phone doesn't work.
The television doesn't work.m
Towels are paper thin.
Pool is green.

It is clear that there are people that live here.

When trying to ask front desk to rectify these things they just shrugged it off and said sometimes they work sometimes they don't.

This is not a very good representation of a Wyndham property.

I'm wondering if this is one of the hotels They turned into a homeless shelter during the pandemic because it's definitely giving off that type of vibe.

Avoid this place at all costs!!
