Was apparently the only one in the hotel, so I think we got pretty lucky there but the front desk lady was extremely understanding and friendly about it all. Don’t loose your key after midnight, the night porter did not open the door despite 10 mins of ringing. Had to get the bar next door to call. No biggie things happen. Reason for 1 star was the reaction of the gentleman on reception in the morning. Awful attitude and was suggesting I didn’t ring the bell! Reception was lovely but the rooms were rank !

Hotel Portinari was a great choice for three of us travelling together. We were within walking distance to public transportation and local attractions like Charles Bridge and the downtown area. We spent 3 nights here and would happily stay again when visiting Prague. Staff were attentive and helpful, and the breakfast offerings in the morning before the days adventures were a great way to start out.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat! The location was perfect. Close enough to all of the sights but not in the \"center\" so it was nice and quiet at the end of the night. We stayed there for an anniversary and the team did a great job setting up flowers and cava in the room for when we arrived. It had an all modern vibe which was nice and super close to the train station for an easy arrival and departure. I would stay again and again

The receptionist was extremely helpful. We had a hard time finding how to get to the parking garage thru the streets of Brugge which made is almost late for a scheduled tour. She was very helpful in trying to help me contact the tour agency and very good with giving us directions. A more detailed description on how to access the parking (underground) should be added to the hotel website.

Wonderful boutique type hotel, very friendly helpful staff. Parking garage underground with elevator is just a few steps away. Everything is walkable from this hotel. It was perfect. If you're wondering about the modern glass open type bathroom, the toilet is in a seperate area with a door. There is a thin sheer curtain but not a door. We opened the storage door near one twin bed and it obscured the view. It worked fine for us. Just sat on the other side of the halfwall with the tv to provide privacy for the person showering. Location cant be beat. Views were great too. Book it, you'll be happy with the decision! Highly recommend.

The property was located on a large square with lots of bars and restaurants. The parking was a large underground car park at the square and was very convenient to the Hotel. The hotel is located near all tourist attractions and is a lovely place to stay. The family room was very spacious, with a huge bath tub. We had a brilliant stay from the 6th to 8th of December, it’s a great hotel conveniently a 15 minute walk from the station in one direction and the Christmas markets in another! The rooms have great views of the three towers of Bruges which look great in the evenings! The rooms were very clean and a great quality, immaculate bathroom! Breakfast was continental very clean eating area and lovely food! Overall we had a fantastic time and would use the same hotel again if we came back!

It was a nice modern Hotel, I was on the top floor in a single bed which was quite small, would've been nice to have a duvet that was slightly bigger than the bed. On checkout they asked me to pay €16 for city tax, but instead of ringing up €16 the receptionist rang up €518 which I luckily spotted, if I had touched on to the card reader I'm sure I would've struggled to get my money back. No apology from him which isn't really nice to be fair, but I've still given them good marks!

Hard to park, saw a hair on the bedding. We received a broken bed in a room with 2 queen beds (technically not 2 queen beds, each queen was made by 2 twin beds combined, so 4 twin beds total, one of the twin beds was broken). The hotel was like: can’t give you any refund because you book from Expedia; room is alright to sleep 3 people so the broken bed doesn’t matter. They offer a discount for next stay, but we don’t have a plan to visit bruges again.

And then the shower was open concept with glass window. There was a privacy shade but you could still see through slightly. All rooms are this way. Can be awkward - was traveling with friends. But we managed. Otherwise good hotel. Probably would not stay again just because of the bathroom.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Great hotel within a short walk to the centre of Bruges. We had a family room with two twin beds and a queen bed which was a Murphy bed. The Queen bed had a hard mattress which made it a bit hard to sleep on and the shower area had no door which were the only challenges. Overall a good experience and there was a nice food market on Saturday in the square outside our hotel which was a nice surprise.

Had to put the luggage in the storage ourselves (not tagged so not sure if your luggage might be taken by other travelers). Floor wasn’t carpeted and room slippers weren’t provided so it’s a little cold to step on barefooted. The bed had no head rest so it was a little awkward to sit up against to rest.

A little disappointing for 4 star hotel
The hotel was nice clean and modern slap bang in the centre of Brugge. The room we booked was a family room which was big and spacious and over looked the square. The master bed was two singles put together with a drop down double wall bed which worked fine for the kids and us adults. There were two main issues about the family room the first being the bathroom had no door and a full length glass wall (which in fairness did have a blind) but the lack of door did make it more difficult with a 14 year old girl and 11 year old boy to shower and get dressed in private. The biggest issue was that one of the lights was faulty and was flashing on and off so we couldn’t use any of the main lights for the whole stay which wasn’t ideal at night relying on mood light. We reported is as soon as we arrived but nothing was done about it. Not the greatest for a supposed 4 star hotel. I think I would have rated it closer to a 3 star at best. Other than that a nice stay.

Location is good, because it's close to one of the pedestrian exits from the huge t'Zand underground car park. Staff were OK, some a bit 'cool', some were lovely.
Room condition was a big disappointment. Air-con was weedy and never reached the set temperature, and weirdly reverted to 24C setting after a few hours. USB charging ports were dead, as were some of the mains sockets. Several overhead light bulbs were not working, 'stylish' small round table had a top which was unusable since it tilted by 10degrees! All of these were reported by us (and no doubt others) but \"nobody is available to fix them\".

Two wonderful nights in Bruges. The property was outstanding. I was greeted with a warm friendly smile, helpful advice, and everything got better from there. My single room was lovely, spotless, modern with all the conveniences. The property was located in the center of everything, and the amenities were ample, down to a filtered water device to fill plastic bottles for the day. The breakfast was ample and diverse for every taste. Smiles abounded everywhere from the front desk, dining room and the cleaning staff. We had trouble with the AC. We read the information in the room; no help. We called the front desk and they said they could turn AC on. It did not get cooler in the room. We called again for help they said we needed to give it Time. 3 hours is plenty of time. They did not offer any additional assistance.
