I booked this hotel without looking into it much. From the moment we walked through the doors I know we had found a special little hotel. The staff were so welcoming and genuinely warm. They walked us to our room for the night through a little mini orchard of Citrus trees. The room was incredible for the price I paid. The breakfast was also excellent. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Excellenza

Hotel was perfect for what we wanted. We walked to Pompei ruins, about 10min walk. Staff were so lovely. Happy to help.
Bathroom was good for one night, but we do prefer shower without a curtain- water goes everywhere!
Otherwise no complaints. Highly recommend.

We stayed in 2 triple rooms as a family of 6. This was our last night in Italy with an early flight out from Naples. We were 20 min to the airport without traffic and the hotel staff helped arrange private transportation. The hotel was very clean and staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was a great location, very close to the piazza as well as walkable to one of the entrances to tour Pompeii.

Our stay here was excellent right from check in. The staff were friendly and showed us to a lovely room. Clean, tidy and very nice bathroom and shower. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of cereals, fruit, ham, croissants etc. and they make you a fresh drink from coffee to hot chocolate while you eat. We loved our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived in Pompei late at night and it was good that this hotel is only 2 minute walk from Pompei train station. It's only a10 minute walk to the southeast Pompeii entrance. Our room looks newly renovated with high ceiling. Rooms looks better in person than the photos. They even helped me book a private shuttle to Positano.

Il personale del Diana Pompei è stato molto disponibile con noi. Avevamo una bella stanza nell'edificio adiacente. Alcuni degli ospiti intorno a noi erano rumorosi quella notte. Non era colpa dell'hotel. Sembrava che l'intero edificio fosse stato ristrutturato di recente, poiché tutto era dipinto di bianco brillante, senza opere d'arte o ornamenti ancora. Era un posto sicuro in cui soggiornare in una zona che non sembrava essere sicura come altri posti che abbiamo visitato. I taxi erano costosi qui, ma la posizione dell'hotel era in un buon posto per poter camminare e vedere le attrazioni. La colazione era solo OK; potrebbe essere migliorata. Ci è piaciuto il ristorante dietro l'angolo e ci siamo andati due volte!

Rooms are tiny. ‘Triple’ is what we booked, but if there were 3 people there would be no room for bags (we had to use the twin bed). They were doing demolition on the other side of our wall, pounding non-stop all day. You almost had to sit on the toilet to close bathroom door, and shower was smaller than a phone booth.

Perfect base to explore Pompei

We booked three rooms for two nights (one double, two singles), traveling as a family with two young adults. This was a perfect base to explore Pompei! Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Clean, uncluttered rooms with air conditioning and well stocked bathrooms. Ample free breakfast. And walkable to anything you need, as well as the train station. Free on-site parking out front or in a lot beside the hotel. Lovely courtyard out back to relax. Kids found their single rooms a bit small but we were really only there to sleep and shower, so perfect if you plan to explore the area. Overall, a great stay.

We arrived at this property and were told our accommodation wasn’t in the main building but instead two minutes away up the street. We were then walked round to accommodation with signage up for “Eco B&B”. When we asked about this were then told this was a “sister hotel”.

Feel free to Google this but Eco B&B is a 2-star B&B and Diana is a 3-star hotel. The difference was clear from the rooms and there was also c.40 stairs to climb with your luggage with no elevator.

The B&B accommodation is above very busy and noisy late night bars and restaurants on the Main street in Pompeii.

We highlighted we were unhappy about this particularly due to noise concerns and had booked Hotel Diana not this one and were moved back, taking luggage again with us.

In terms of Hotel Diana, this is a nice enough hotel for the money paid. Air con and tv work well. Breakfast was basic but nice and bathroom was pleasant. Luggage storage was available the next day.

If staying at a peak time I’d just beat my comments in mind and try to arrive early. We were taken aback about what happened and didn’t get an apology at any point.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff were so accommodating, helping make our reservations to visit Pompeii and Vesuvius. The continental breakfast was very nice. The only very slight complaint would be we parked in the \"extra\" lot adjacent to the regular lot and it is a dirt lot so our shoes were completely covered in ashy dirt when we walked into the hotel. Otherwise, all was great and we would recommend staying here.

Rang ahead to confirm time of arrival: extremely friendly and helpful receptionist, who greeted us in same manner on arrival. Good advice for booking for dinner.

Abundant breakfast buffet: standard hotel fare.

On-site parking adequate (we arrived around 21:00 and found last space) but quite tight for our long estate car.

Very convenient for archaeological park and no problem about leaving our car while we visited.

We booked a superior double room but we did not get what was advertised. There was no full sized fridge/ freezer or a coffee/ tea maker. There was also no kettle but that was provided when I asked. We selected this hotel as we are early risers and enjoy an early morning coffee, had I know this was not to be the case , I would not have paid for an upgrade. Although a kettle was provided, there was no coffee or milk.

Friendly helpful staff at reception and at breakfast. Great spread of food in the morning. Everything was truly great and i'd definitely recommend staying here.
Comfort-wise, their pillows were like flat hard pancakes so I'd say they could do with an upgrade there, but it wasnt a crisis.
the only other thing i didnt like was that they had those tiny packets of shampoo in the bathroom which personally i feel is kinda wasteful because a packet only contains a small amount of shampoo so it generates a fair amount of trash, meanwhile a refillable container in the shower would be better for the environment and easier to use.

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Couldn't fault them. The only slight criticism would be we were only given 1 teabag each per day, no coffee and no milk. I do think Expedia advertised the pool in the 'sister hotel' in a misleading way. The pictures made me think it was at a hotel next door when in fact it was a good 20 minute walk or taxi ride costing €10.

Nice back patio area to eat, read and relax. Helpful and friendly staff who can advise on activities and restaurants. Staff speaks many languages fluently other than Italian.

If you get the budget room it is fairly barebones (no minifridge) but working aircon, working windows, very clean. PERFECT location. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants time to see the sites of Pompei and visit Mt. Vesuvius.

Small hotel in great location.Steps from Trainstation. 10 min walk to Anfiteatro Entrance to the Ruins and one can also catch the Vesuvius shuttle at that location.
Nice variety for breakfast.
Staff very helpful when one has questions, suggestions for Restaurants etc.
Rooms were small but comfortable. We barely spent time in it, so it was no issue for us.
The one thing which could be improved is sound proofing. Since the floors are tiles one hears chairs scraping,beds being pushed,that being said I am sensitive to that so a good pair of earplugs will help.
All in all we would return to Hotel Diana again.

We heard mixed reviews about staying overnight in Pompeii, but so glad we did as the night time vibe is lively and fun. Hotel Diana is a lovely, clean hotel, with great staff and parking. Excellent location in town near train and restaurants. Can walk to ruins easily. We also spent an afternoon at the sister hotel, a resort with wine tasting lunch and swimming pool overlooking Vesuvius which was a fun unexpected addition to our visit.

The hotel was easy to find, and the staff was super friendly. It's in a good location especially given that they have free parking. It's about a 10 minute walk to the closest entrance to the ruins. The room itself was pretty spartan, but it was clean and comfortable. They have an affiliation with a restaurant/winery for dinner. Normally I'd be wary of that sort of thing, but we took a chance and it was a wonderful dinner at a reasonable price. Overall I'd highly recommend Hotel Diana and the winery.

The parking is terrible if you have any car larger than a Fiat 500! There are no designated spots and you cant turn around. It is very small and the entrance is a very narrow alley.
They should have marked spots so more cars can fit and it would allow cars to back out.

Bosco de Medici Winery associated w hotel was exquisite: tour, lunch and wine tasting in a beautiful grape vine drapped patio... Exquisite. Hotel walking distance to Pompeii ruins to less popular entrance: amazing! Hotel staff superbly helpful and friendly. Beautiful Piazza in walking distance of hotel full of restaurants...all delightful and some offer free wine w dinner. Hotel room was small but very comfortable.

The hotel is very good value, although we had a deluxe room space was tight especially the bathroom. A kettle was provided but with a very limited range of drink sachets and no milk. There was the usual offering for breakfast but not to our liking. The wifi in our room (208) was poor and intermittent.

We only stayed one night here, but we loved our stay! Claudia and Francesca at the front desk went over and beyond to make our stay great. I cannot say enough great things about them! Claudia was so helpful in telling us what sites to go see. It was such a help. She even helped us plan our next stop near the Sea. They went out of their way to help us. Our room was nice and clean. The garden area outside of the hotel was so nice and peaceful. We had drinks in the garden after dinner. The breakfast was very good also. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we every go to Pompeii again!! Thank you Claudia and Francesca for everything!!

Everyone at the desk, especially one young woman whose name slips my mind, were so warm and helpful. I was not afraid to ask them anything and they were so eager to help. Diana Pompei hotel was recommended to me by family friends. I was traveling by myself and they recommended it since I wanted to see the ruins. I’m glad I stayed at Diana Pompei rather than staying somewhere in Napoli. I took the train to Napoli to see the archeological museum so I only spent a half a day there. Staying in Pompei was the better choice. Also getting the train to Sorrento from Pompei was easy with the help of the hotel staff.

The hotel breakfasts were nice with a good selection and also very reasonably priced. The hotel makes truly excellent espresso and cappuccino.

The staff was amazing. They were all incredibly sweet. And they were always helpful and friendly. The hotel was right next to the train station which was very convenient. And the ruins were a short walk away. The town at night was lovely.

Great hotel within short walking distance from everything. They just need to supply robe / clothes hooks in the bathroom and some type of soap holder in the shower cubicle. It is a bit noisy at night but that is not the hotels fault as Pompei does appear to be a bit of a party town when night time arrives but you cannot go wrong booking into this hotel. Oh and the buffet breakfast is lovely. A+

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Diana. It is in a central location with easy access to great restaurants and in walking distance of train stations. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a beautiful garden with orange and lemon trees filling it with a wonderful fragrance... but it really is the staff that make the hotel. They are so lovely, friendly and helpful it makes everything so easy to arrange and do. Thanks to all at Hotel Diana for making our stay so excellent.

After leaving the tourist traps of Rome it was nice to stay at a hotel that cared about your stay. Francesca in particular was outstanding with recommendations and caring about our visit. Rooms are pretty typical for Europe I but everything worked well and the bed was an actually double not two twins pushed together. Nice location by the station as well, just out of range of train noise.
