The room was cleaned daily but was a bit shabby. The beds were reasonable. The bathroom was ok, but hot water was fitful and it was not often hot enough to allow a bath. No tea making facilities.There was a safe. Quiet enough. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection. I'm gluten free and that was catered for. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

Our room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly but not over the top. I would have given this 5 stars but they couldn’t provide us with wash cloths which I’m guessing is common in this area? Also no free coffee, there was an espresso maker in the room that made teeny cups of coffee but we are Americans, we like big cups of coffee. Our hotel in Amsterdam gave us a carafe of coffee to take to our room. Now that made my husband smile!

They can focus on give more complimentary items like water bottles daily, lotions, Iron box. They would have gifted some dolls for the customers who stay more than 15 to 20 nights. Overall good experience to stay in Dorint.

The Dorint is a very nice hotel that is well maintained. However, there is a lot of construction currently in the neighborhood which can complicate access.There are very few restaurants near the hotel but Halle is a small city so walking downtown isn't bad if the weather is decent.

The hotel has a restaurant which has a good menu.
The hotel amenities were slightly outdated, however for a short business trip these are more than sufficient.

The reception couldn't find me in their system for checking in!!! Finally found, the room was too cold, heater didn't help that much till the next day although put on the highest level. Bathroom and shower very clean and nice. No tea making facilities but the worst was the smell...which did not go away... Smelled like pet smell... Strong and not pleasant.. Breakfast was lovely.. Would i stay there again? Don't think so..

Comfortable and clean on edge of town

Seemed a bit more 3 star when driving up, but it grew on you as you saw how clean the rooms and bathrooms were, and the eating areas. Food not to be recommended, and when we were there there (last two weeks of July is holiday period so reduced facilities) there was no bar /lounge area, you either had to have drinks on the rooftop or in your room, unless you sat at a dinner table, so not easy to relax if bad weather. The staff were great though, and service was very good, and although at the one end of the town, it was a fairly easy walk, say 10 mins to centre. Underground parking 15 euros a night. But easy.

I stayed 6 nights on holiday in a standard twin room on the third floor, overlooking a very quiet street (I was never disturbed by noise and slept very well). The weather went from cold to very hot during my stay (in April), but I was able to control the room temperature very well with the radiators and air conditioning. The room and bathroom were large, well laid-out and everything worked perfectly. There was a good size desk, a table and an armchair. I was pleased that there was a bath as well as a shower. The staff were pleasant and helpful and they all spoke excellent English. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the main train station, which was convenient as I made day trips to nearby historic cities on most days. In the other direction, the old city is about a 10 min walk away (15 mins to the Markt, the main historic square). There is a computer terminal with internet access on the top floor, which I made use of. There was no room safe in my room: none was promised when I booked, so I have no complaint, but I think the installation of room safes would be an improvement. I did not eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on its restaurant. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and very good value: I really enjoyed my stay.

Fabulous Christmas Market hotel

We booked a family room for a short break to visit the Halle and Leipzig Christmas markets.. ideal location, approx 10 mins walk into Halle centre and similar to the train station for Leipzig. Easy journey via train to Leipzig airport too! Super friendly staff, very child friendly hotel, comfy and warm room, spotless bathroom and delicious breakfast with plenty of choice for all tastes..we will go back again.

Walking distance from station

The walk from the train station to the hotel was very well signposted and only a short distance. The route was flat apart from one flight of stone steps which might of been a struggle had I had a larger suitcase. The hotel was clean and tidy with our room having Air Con. There was a sign on the window telling us that the air con automatically switched off when the window was opened. Not quite true as it only came on when I turned the window handle halfway between open and locked. A small thing that I could work around. The pillows were of feather and looked very fluffy and inviting, however when I lay my head on them they soon became almost totally flat. Second pillow requested the next day and was better.

Best choice by the main rail station

Nice, modern hotel, just across the street from the main Dresden rail station (haupbahnhof). A great choice if traveling by rail. A bit of a walk to the town center historical sites (20 minutes), but no problem if you're a good walker. The city tram passes right in front of the hotel, so you can get around that way. Don't use this hotel if you want to be right in the old downtown/historical area, as there is not much around it, except a couple of restaurants, the rail station, and modern shopping as you start walking toward town.

A fine modern hotel in a central location

Great location, just 10 minutes from the Marktplatz, with lots of shops en route. Very clean and well kept with friendly and helpful staff. One small issue is that the layout of the bar and restaurant are not very inviting and there is not really a lobby or place just to sit and wait for friends.

Die Sauberkeit des gemütlich eingerichteten Zimmers war außergewöhnlich gut. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Speisen aus der Menükarte schmeckten sehr gut und waren bekömmlich. Man brauchte nicht lange auf Aufzüge zu warten. Das Hotel lag angenehm zentral. Die Auswahl beim viel zu teueren Frühstück war zumindest vielfältig.

Sehr freundliche Dame an der Rezeption. Das Essen im Restaurant war lecker und der Service sehr aufmerksam.
Das Zimmer hat alles was man braucht für eine gute Nachtruhe und auch die Sauberkeit lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, Nähe Bahnhof und Altstadt. Würde jederzeit wieder im Dorint buchen.

Morgen maden fin og udmærket.

Vi spiste i restauranten om aftenen, og den levede bestemt ikke op forventningen. Tjeneren var ny og vældig sød.
Min kone og jeg fik begge to forskellig salater til forret og salaten bar både brun og slatten. hovedretten var bedre. jeg skulle have en burger desværre var de løbet tør for den salat der stod på menukortet og blive tilbudt en anden salat.
men med 6 forretter og 6 hovedretter på kortet, burde de kunne ligge inde med alle ingredienser og friske af slagsen. tilmed var det i forhold til hvad vi plejer at betale i Tyskland for dyrt i forhold til kvaliteten.

Die Parkgarage empfinde ich mit €19 übertrieben.
Ich buchte ein Hotel mit Restaurant. Das hatte es, war nur leider geschlossen. Ich fühlte mich als Bettler weil ich einen Cappuccino wollte, den ich zwar bekam aber immer mit dem Hinweis dass geschlossen ist. Obwohl eine Geburtstagsfeier in vollem Gange war.
Das Restaurant bot Abends ein Büffet. Allerdings dann alles Oder nichts für nen stattlichen Preis.
Das alles passt nicht zu 4,5 Sternen. Auch gemessen an der veralteten Elektrik. Türöffner funktionieren nur wenn man den Trick dazu kennt.

Das Hotel ist gut und zeigt Stiel. Das Parken für eine Nacht im Untergeschoss ist mit €18 teuer. Scheint aber Usus zu sein. Wird wohl häufig als Tagungshotel genutzt und erfüllt so seine Zweckbestimmung.

Necesitan mejorar algunas cosas

El hotel tiene en general buenos empleados aunque algunos no tienen experiencia y a veces estan solo y esto no deberia pasar porque pueden crear problemas como me paso a mi. Al llegar el recepcionista me hizo pagar por adelantado toda la reserva, le dije que preferia pagar al final por si tenia más gastos de restaurante, parking, lavanderia, etc pero el insistio que tenia que pagar al principio y los gasots extras al final. Pera mi esto fuel un lio porque ademas se equivoco en las facturas y ahora no estan claras y debo explicar a mi empresa todo el problema que este señor ha generado.
Por otro lado el hotel tiene unas almohadas malisimas que deberian de cambiar. Todo el mundo habla de esto pero quizas no se han quejado lo suficiente al hotel.
Luego me ocurrio un misterio inesplicable, olvide mi reloj en la habitacion y avise al hotel pero parece despues de varios dias no lo han encontrado y ya he perdido la esperanza.
