There is no staff on site. Every thing is done by phone. More like a airbud house. If you need a towel or more TP you call and number. God knows how you will get it. Pool was clean but needs repair. We stayed there 4 year ago was great staff great too. Now no staff and place has gone down hill. Will not be going back.

Booked at Club bamboo south #118 Friday -Monday. I lived in the area previously. The refrigerator was warm, my husband being a diabetic & needing to refrigerate insulin. Our food was spoiled overnight. My husband vomited all day Saturday due to spoiled food. So a whole day lost having to move to #118. I requested a late check out since we lost the day due to a BROKEN REFRIGERATOR, I was offered to check out at 11am for $50 charge. We left today Monday at 8:00am, we took out our own trash & placed used towels in tub. The parking lot is full of trash debris & cigarette butts, BROKEN curbs.

Absolutely loved the place. Intimate, so close to the beach, which is what I love.
The rooms were nice, air conditioners worked great. Only complaint, no broom for tile floors at the beach. A lot of sand was tracked in due to beach gear being brought in. Everyone one there was so nice. Just don't expect 4 star hotel amenities. It is an old Florida hotel, no ice machine, no food. But the location is amazing. We loved it.

The Dream Island Inn - Not Exactly a Dream

The person at the front desk was friendly but they are not staffed full time. I was under the impression that we were staying at the Anna Maria Dream Island Inn, but they had us stay at Club Bamboo which was also part of the property. Overall, the size of the room was fine. The room had a Mr. Coffee pot style coffee maker but no coffee to make it with. The box spring cover looked like it had mildew on it and one of our pillowcases had a blood stain on it (see pictures below). On the website, it mentioned there were umbrellas and chairs available for the beach but all the umbrellas were broken we were told. If staying here, you will want to bring your own beach towels since the ones they provided were almost unusable for the beach. The pool area appeared to be clean, but there is no bathroom unless you go up to your room. It was not terribly bad, but I will not be staying here again.

Disappointed at this price

We are disappointed in this property given the price that we paid. It appears to be a 1950s property that has not been upgraded. The front staff was very helpful, but there was really limited service and we had to go to get our own towels, and the room was never cleaned by the maids. Beach access was easy and they did provide chairs.
$400 was overpriced, I would expect $150-175 for this property. Hotels.com reservation service was smooth.

It was a beautiful view, clean room, No frills. Property does need some up keep, pool did not look clean at all. Beach chair area not kept up, sandburs everywhere where people walk through to beach. Our drains did not work well in toilet or bathroom sink. Otherwise Great location, convenient. We were put in Club Bamboo, sister property a few doors down which did work well for us. I thought is was a nicer property. I would stay again.

Terrible place to stay and terrible employees. They charged us 800 extra for having the kids (total of 4 ) for a king bed with couch, saying that was a 2 person room. Amenities are terrible, pool is dirty. The receptionist tricked us into paying almost double the amount we paid to expedia. Do not book this place!

Our Air conditioning didn’t work so no one slept well. Instead of fixing it they gave us fans. The room was wrong so our kids had to sleep on cots instead of real beds. There weren’t enough chairs or table space for everyone to sit down. Some of the lights didn’t work. The pool wasn’t heated, so we had to walk three properties over for a heated pool.

I like the staff. They were very customer service oriented and attended to our needs. However, the property is understaffed. This property needs a lot of updating and the word resort should be removed from advertising. This is not a resort. There is no food or beverage or ice on the property. The lounge chairs are so old that when you lay in them, your body sinks through the straps. Umbrellas are broken. Beds are horrible. Utensils and pots and pans are sticky and dirty. Our room had a hole in the wall and a broken window, which is a security problem.we couldn’t lift the faucet handle in the master bathroom, as it was stuck. The only things that The Dream Inn has going for it is that it is on the beach with spectacular sunsets and it’s amazing staff. I felt bad for the staff. They were running around accommodating everyone with smiles on their faces. They are overworked and need help. The investors could really make this place a spectacular resort if they would sink some money into it. I will not be returning to the Dream Inn, as I would rather stay at a real resort that is clean, has food and beverage, has working faucets, doesn’t have holes in the wall and that definitely has comfortable beds. Additionally, I also prefer a 24 staff. No staff at property after 6pm. The stay was definitely not worth what I paid. I love Marty and her daughter though.

The air conditioning did not work when we arrived it took till the next morning to be able to talk with any one. Then going back to keep checking up on the status of the repairs because the manager kept telling different lies. Then the shower handle broke and only cold water would come out and could not turn it off. I told the management as was informed the repair guy comes in at 10 am. At 1 pm i asked about an update as no one came to the room still and was told that they will be getting it fixed right away. At 6pm no one still came to the room and they tried to leave with out ever contacting me with any Updates. They told me i could still take a cold shower whats the big deal after i said this is terrible service.

The view and location are amazing. Marty was very warm and helpful during our weekend stay. The room description said 2 queens and a king when we rented, but there was only a king and two full beds. Pool could have been cleaner, but pleasantly warmed during a windy weekend. As other reviews have mentioned +/- cleanliness - our apartment was pretty clean except for sand on the floors which gets tracked from being so close to the beach. Daily cleaning service not included in price, need to take out own trash.

Don’t believe the picture of the beach. No beach furniture or umbrellas. Furniture provided has past its life expectancy by 5 years. Property is on a nice beach. What is being marketed is not what is delivered. No balcony just a sliding door with a railing. Bedding was ok, kitchenette was ok, nice refrigerator. No room service, you go get you clean towels and linens everyday, you take you trash to the dumpster. Very outdated facility. The bathroom was filthy, shower curtain was filthy with a horrible odor, toilet was filthy. We were going to leave but it was late the office was closed so we bought our own cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathroom. Office closes at 6pm and you are on your own. Very noisy at night, banging doors late at night. Not recommending the Dream Inn. Very unfortunate because the small staff running the place was great…just not enough of them. Beach was awesome!

Was told at check-in that the only keys inexistence for my room was the ones I was holding and if I lost them that I would have to pay for a locksmith.

Check-in was from 3-6p. Was told that they have until 6p to have the room ready. The room was ready at 4:30p. I had been waiting since 3p, because I had expected to be able to check in at 3p because that has been my experience everywhere else.

Room was subpar. The towels and soap were crap and we found rust and mold in the bathroom.

Set back off the beautiful beach, this property was perfect for our vacation. We enjoyed the big sun deck right off our room, the pool area or the beach. Nice kitchen facility to make your own meals, how and when you want them. Free Trolly pickup right by the property to get you around the island.

It is a decent spot. No qualms. Reasonable and pleasant for sure. Nothing extravagant. We love Anna Maria for the classic Florida laid back, far away vibe. This place fits that well. It's fine for a restful few days. Right on the beach, with a clean pool as well. Note, however, the WiFi is not good, so if you plan on a \"work-cation\" type stay, you'll be living at the local Duncan. Sharky's across the street is very good for dining. Other food spots are about a mile walk in either direction, but it's a nice walk. :-)

It was right on the beach! Beautiful white sand! Gorgeous views. Beach volleyball. Corn hole and lots of other games, etc. Nice pool. Elevator was a plus. I recommend they do a little updating in some areas. Overall a great place to stay. Marti and Dawn were excellent hosts! Great value for high season. Close to some excellent restaurants. Trolley and bus available. No need to rent a car.

This was by far the dirtiest room we have ever stayed in…in our entire life, which is a lot to say, since pre-Covid, we traveled for business about 100 days a year.
Filthy wouldn’t even begin to describe this space-hair in the bathroom, cupboards and doors that needed wiping, floors that hadn’t been swept or mopped-in a very long time, blood on the pillow cases, stained sheets, and outside furniture and grounds we akin to a horror movie. The front door, painted a pretty blue-was in need of cleaning for years.
To top it all off the “bath” towels are worn thin and small and the bedspread is the circa 70’s polyester version-but in all honesty, by the time you are ready for bed, you wouldn’t even think of using it.
Positives here we’re the front desk lady who was an absolute gem, a beautiful view and a decent patio to sit out on.
This place was a $100 rental masquerading as $350 which is what we paid, with an additional $75 cleaning fee that is obviously pocketed by someone.

Hi, we paid a little more for a suite that faced the gulf with a balcony. It was very disappointing to arrive and find that the balcony that I saw in pictures - with a table and chairs before booking - was a railing. A railing. Also, there wasn’t sitting area like described inside the suite and no doors on bedrooms. There was rust on the bedside table lamp, fridge and some sort of mold all over the microwave. It was gross.

Our room was wonderful!! A private balcony room on the top floor overlooking the ocean. The office ladies are so friedly, helpful and accommodating. They really did everything they could to make our stay special. The property is a little older but everything was clean and the room was bright, spacious and had a cute beachy decor. There are nicer, fancier places to stay but would cost double or more likely triple the price. I'll take a more homey and affordable room any day. I'm not sure why so many people had complaints about this property. When
I booked, it was very clear that the office manages several buildings in the area. It's all listed in the room descriptions so I'm guessing the folks that had to walk across the street to the beach didn't read thoroughly. It's also clearly stated that it's not a hotel and their hours are limited. And what's the big deal about taking out your own trash? As a responsible adult, I think checking in on time, remembering not to lock myself out of the room and taking out my own trash is not an issue.

Great staff here! Very helpful and communication is straight forward. The Inn itself is a bit dated but the room was immaculate. There is a outdoor area under the Inn (the building foundation itself like many others on the island is elevated) with lounge chairs bbq grills and byob/diy bar area. The beach itself is gorgeous. White sand and blue green ocean. Volleyball net is set up for use too. I would recommend to family and friends.

If I can give them a zero I will terrible experience first air conditioner was not working then they told me I’m literally lying about the air conditioning being broken they had to give me another room that only 2 people can use we were 5 and a baby not to complete the day people their are not from the hotel got to the pool area and not letting anyone to use it it’s already nighttime and they still in the pool very Loud not letting anyone go to sleep

It’s not worth the money we could not use anything and the funny part is they do not follow the pool rule supposed to be no more then 10 people and they have to be semi quiet at 10 pm they are screaming and singing are u kidding me really we can’t sleep at all and me and my family barely got to go to the pool cause of all the people all cramped in one place it’s incredible and they were eating,drinking and jumping inside the pool area and people who aren’t even reserved came and used all the parking we couldn’t even park cause people from other hotels were in our parking we paid a lot and all we got was a small bathroom and not one person can fit it supposed to be 2 bathrooms the room was dirty there was a old dirty bottle under the beds

It's ok, but not worth what they charge

I was so excited to spend a family mini vacation with my son and his family. The pictures they post are misleading. They own 3 different properties, but you dont know that from the photos. I thought I was gonna get a balcony view. I got the view, but no balcony. Then I come to find out it is on another property of theirs. The 2 queens were more like 2 doubles, very tight for the kids and the grandkids. And the last pet pieve is the fact, that for the amount of money I spent, there was patio furniture in the room??? Really??? Those things are not comfy. I think the price should reflect what we recieved...didnt. We left a day early because it was uncomfortable, lucky I live in Florida, or else I would have really been upset. And even tho we left a early, I didn't recieve some refund? I don't expect all of the money, but some for the misleading pictures on line would have been nice. I will never go back, it's a nice place for maybe $250 a night, but definetly not $430. Sorry, but I was really disappointed and had to cut my beach time short.

We had such a great time here! The studio was nice and clean and the view was amazing! Only downside was the garbage areas could have been emptied out so it was piled up a lot, but other than that everything was great! The staff was extremely nice and a joy to interact with! Definitely will be going back!

IT WAS GREAT HAVING THE BEACH RIGHT IN THERE. FOR 2 NIGHTS THE MOLE IN THE ROOM I GUESS WAS WORTH IT.

Can't beat the location

Definitely for beach parties and that's about it--but can't beat the location and there is a ton of space. The girls at the front desk were really awesome and you know they work their butts off. Did wish it was nicer for the price we spent. Live and learn.

P.S. THEY HAVE ADDITIONAL PARKING, so don't freak out. It's by the beach access to the left of the building, past the house next door.

Property needs an overhaul, some rooms need better beds. More cleaning staff. My room was okay, my friends room lacked cleaning. Definitely understaff. Limited staff was friendly and accommodating. Property definitely needs an upkeep!
