When I walked into the room I immediately smelled mildew (very bad) I was exhausted from my travels so the idea of moving to another room exhausted me more. Went the breakfast scrambled were watery, in pic it looked a nice assortment of pastries were pathetic. Needed help from front desk just to turn TV on, 2 remotes, she had to phone someone it took awhile for 2 people to figure it out. I’m not happy

The owners of this property are more interested in profit rather than upgrading and/or improving their property. The couch in our room had a big sink hole on one side. The second tv didn’t work, and my husband just about fell out of the desk chair. We did not sleep well as the bed was hard and we could not get the room cool enough for our comfort. I needed to use the laundry but the facilities were not available (no water they said). A Motel 6 would probably have been better. Extremely disappointed.

The hotel is in a disruptive transition. We were booked into a room that had no window shades or working curtains. We were relocated to a room without a working fridge. The deficiencies were corrected almost entirely thanks to reception staffer Nilu. The other reception staffer projected an unwelcoming attitude. I was ready to leave until Nilu stepped in to make things right.

The airport shuttle was great and they worked around our schedule. The hotel is being well maintained. Our room was fine and yet they are in the process of updating everything. Hotel staff were helpful with dinner recommendations and getting us to exercise trails. It was a pleasure to be there. Downtown was an easy walk and we also walked to a great coffee shop. Walmart and city market grocery were right across Main Street from the hotel. All very convenient. You know it is a good spot when the flight crews stay there

The room was in OK condition – a bit worn and tired, but clean and functioned adequately. The toilet would run unless the handle was jiggled. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub worked well but could have been cleaner. Overall, the hotel looks like it could use some updating, but it was a decent experience.

The five stars are simply a matter of value for a family stay. The hotel was clean, TV and WiFi worked well, water was hot, hot tub was hot, and breakfast better than average. I kept waiting to experience the catch from such an unusually low price, but we never did. Is it a Ritz Carlton, no, but what one pays for juxtaposed with what one gets? Really quite good value we were happy with. The one area for improvement would be the pool, which was fairly frigid, but even that was fun next to the hot whirlpool, like an ice bath.

I paid extra for a room with an in-room hot tub. You can see it there in the room picture. Only the more expensive rooms have it. I got there and they said oh that room isn't available. But they still charged me for it and wouldn't refund the difference. Rude, imperious lady at the front desk. Left early and obviously won't be back at this scam of a hotel.

Staff, as always, are lovely. However, the room was a disappointment. Firstly, gnat type flies emerged from the sink drain each time the water was run in said sink. Secondly, the toilet did not want to flush; holding the handle down for a count of 15 was the minimum to achieve flush. The dresser cabinet handle was broken and dangling. One of the bedside table lamps flickered wildly. While the bathroom appeared to have been cleaned, there was a used bath towel and used wash cloth hanging over the shower curtain rod. Finally, the bed in the room was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. This was a stark difference from my previous experience. Breakfast was still good and, as previously stated, the staff is, truly, lovely.

It is shocking to me that this hotel has been rated as high as it is. There was something crusty and white on the bedskirt, the furniture was broken with handles hanging off, walls were marked up, stains on the carpet, curtain broken and hanging from bracket. Giving two stars for clean sheets, hot water, and the woman at the desk moved us to another room when I reported the state of the first room. Second room still had stains on the floor and walls were dirty. This stay for one night came to $125 with fees and I wouldn’t pay half that to stay at this place. Very disappointed.

I’ve stayed here multiple times over the past 3 years and each time it seems to be in worse shape than before. During my entire 4 night stay, I had warm water during every shower. I told the front desk and she mentioned something with the boiler system vent and that it would be good in 10 minutes after she walks back to fix it. I got back that evening and no hot water again. My refrigerator didn’t have a freezer and it barely worked. The white towels were a little dingy looking so it made me think they weren’t washed after the last person. I inspected them thoroughly and it seemed like they were clean so I did use them. The drains were very slow! The shower would hold about 3” of water and take about 5 minutes after I was done to drain. The toilets flushed really slow as well. I realize this isn’t 5 star resort. I stay here because it’s a block away from family and usually decent for my average standards. A local told me that since new ownership, it’s gone downhill as they don’t put money back into the place. I’m not sure that’s true, but it does lineup with my experience. I’m going to consider staying at the nicer hotel across town from now on. I’m sure it’ll cost more, but it will be a nice place. If you’re just coming in for an evening and leaving early the next day, it’s worth the money. If you stay longer, go across town.

Very moderate hotel. Dated, worn in places. Carpet needs replacing. Furniture worn, curtains were ripped and broken- in both rooms- and we moved from one to another the second night to try and get a quieter spot. Needs an overhaul for sure. Loud door slamming and you can hear people above you. We stayed here because it’s convenient to our son’s place, but i don't think we will do so again. It’s just not that nice.
Woman at desk accommodated our desire to live but was also somewhat argument which was unnecessary.betas wasn’t overly friendly. It all could be much better.

For what I had paid for the property I was not entirely impressed. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived and the hotel itself is a bit outdated as well as musky. The front desk person was not very hospitable but it was very easy to see she was also the only staff and trying to juggle many things at once.

The area around is safe and beautiful. The small town of gunnison has a small downtown shopping area and locals were very welcoming and fun too. The breakfast at this hotel was phenomenal. The hotel felt very safe.

Pool area was not accessible due to maintenance and bathroom was small, also there was no thermostat to control the temperature of the room during our stay and house keeping kept trying to come in even when we had our do not disturb sign on the door. Luckily we were up getting ready to head downstairs for breakfast already when we noticed someone was trying to open our door. We did not care for this and let the front desk know , after that we were not bothered by housekeeping anymore.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff we came in contact with were courteous and friendly, The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The negatives are mostly minor and aesthetic: The carpet in the hallway and stairs needs replacement ; it’s worn and stained in some places. The shower curtain in our bathroom also needs replacing, the once-white fabric is dinghy and yellowed. The faucet over the sink has come loose from the countertop and needs to be resealed. The toilet needs a new handle and/or flushing mechanism; it keeps running unless you keep jiggling the handle. Little refreshes that would go a long way.

The entire property needs cleaned. From the weeds , peeling paint and trash to the carpet , beds and chairs. I feel like i was scammed into thinking this was a great place but its old and dirty. I paid close to $250 for an \"upgraded suite\" i sure loved the tiny 19 inch tv and rock hard bed.

We were coming out of the mountains after a few days of camping. I chose this location because it was the only one showing a hot tub and pool, my husband a
I both have back issues. On arrival the pool was closed and when we used the hot tub the jets wouldnt function.
The reviews for this location were good but it is not accurate as there are several areas where maintenance is lacking.
The staff was friendly, helpful and apologetic.

Very pleasant stay. It was a last minute reservation as our original VRBO messed up our reservation. This was comfortable, accomadated our small dogs, breakfasts were delicious and was close to everything we needed. Pool and hot tub were a plus. Great stay!

Misleading advertising.

Rooms were not as advertised. They misrepent all the suites as having jacuzzis. When I brought it up they told me it's a common mistake customers make, and I should read the description. But the picture is the description, and nothing in either level of suite says anything about jacuzzis. Only the pictures do. Very misleading.

I will probably skip it next time.

Below average for the cost. Room key kept not working or expiring early. At one point nobody was around the front desk to fix my key so I left the hotel and came back later. Loud heater with no auto setting so it had to stay on or off. Rattly bathroom fan (minor issue ) WiFi slow and not good enough to stream. I did appreciate the friendly breakfast and front desk staff.
