Stayed in a 3-bedroom \"apartment\". A really lovely and spacious floorplan with (as its name suggests) three separate bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathroom. It was so nice to be able to travel with a group, share a common living area, and have the convenience of our own separate bathrooms. There are no cooking facilities in the apartment but you can eat outside meals/snacks around the dining table. Just remember to bring your own cutlery/plates/dishwashing products etc. as only glasses/mugs are provided. The living area was huge - really impressive and airy with a lovely beachy vibe (ceiling fans only). However, each of the bedrooms had their own air-conditioning. Buffet breakfast was excellent. All staff we encountered were super friendly, efficient, and hard working... from the porter, to reception, to the restaurant (both dinner and breakfast). Our stay here exceeded our expectations. Wholesome and well-maintained resort on the beach!

Love this quiet resort on the beach. It’s also right next-door to the entrance to a natural park with many interesting hikes. This facility does entertain some large groups of guests but can also be very quiet and peaceful at times. There’s no liquor served on site, but the amenities, the park the beach and the ocean were all excellent. Some small disappointments with my evening meals but everything else was quite good. Prices are high in the restaurant for this area so quality could be improved a little there. The servers were readily available and quite sweet to me as the only Caucasian on site for four days. Definitely a strong Muslim presence here going by the way, the women were dressed, and the Quran and prayer mat in my room for starters. This didn’t affect my visit negatively in anyway.

Not relaxing at all. There was a huge company retreat happening so there were 300 workers yelling through team-building games, and then a booming microphone voice for long periods, and then every room was raucous till 2am. If they are having one huge company retreat the hotel should really book out the whole resort and not let unsuspecting tourists like us book in.

The staff was friendly especially Aziz at the reception counter. He was helpful and pleasant. The housekeeping staff was very helpful and efficient. However, the sink in the master bedroom was clogged and needed repair.

PNB Ilham resorts in my opinion is brilliantly versatile; it has team building activities set up, near the beach, spectacular view and just 300m walk to Hutan Rekreasi TanjungTuan for a decent hiking experience/trail running. Best of both world! Family friendly too if the plan is to have a family day for our organisations/company. However if we have an elderly who is on wheelchair or walking frame; early information can be done so that the resort can sorts few arrangements to ease our loved ones.

+I was given a good sized 3 bedroom apt (3091), when I booked for 2 bedroom apt. So we had ample living room space. Best was we got the pool view.
+Adequate room amenities
+We had dinner at Serambi Café, food was yummy, drinks were diluted, service was friendly.
+Breakfast good selection and delicious.
-Room facilities/furniture/bedding need lots of repairs/upgrade/replacing. Master bedroom: Floor tile broken, a/c leaking, bidet hose in toilet leaks, toilet sink water drains very slow.
2nd bedroom: Ceiling fan not working.
Living hall: TV ceiling fan not working. Some lights not working.
-Building lift is smelly with murky carpet.
-Swimming pool water not so clean, can see leaves/small objects. Pool towel not enough and pool attendant always missing.
-Not enough parking for hotel guests. Should open up outdoor lot beside hotel.

My very first worst experience ever in late check in.They only allowed us to Check in at 6:30pm, and been forced to check out 1pm. We've been waited for almost 4hours. They only allowed us to check out one hour late.No mercy. Six of us including my mom and dad in age 70's need to wait.Good. bad rating just because im angry. Ggrrrrrrrr...

PROBABLY FIRST AND LAST!!!!!
1. Check in and staff at reception counter
We were planning to have a Family Day including 11 adults, 3 children and 2 babies. So, upon making my reservation, I called the hotel asking if I booked 2 rooms can it be adjacent rooms and they said yes, so I proceed booking under one name under Expedia. Then on the day to check in, the gave me 2 rooms, far from each other (different block, different floor). I explained the information that was given to me during the phone call earlier , too bad I didn't asked the name of the staff answering my phone call. The receptionist was also reluctant to assist me even after I explained that we have pregnant lady and babies in our family. He kept on going inside the office and coming out after referring to 'someone', probably the manager (I assumed with no balls because he didn't even come out to see us). Since it has already being charged to my credit card, I don't have any choice but to check in (already pissed off from the moment I stepped my foot at this resort).

2. ACCOMODATION
We got one room at 2nd floor and another room at 5th floor. The lift was slow and it became worst during check out because we have to wait so long. The aircond in one of the 2nd floor room was not functioning (set it at 17 degrees but felt like no aircond at all). The resort also didn't provide any towels in the 2nd floor room (also I was too pissed to ask for a towel).

3.CLEANLINESS
Unsatisfactory. Dust on the floor & bed.

fantastic seaview

I was in rm 6031.
could see raptors gliding just under the clouds.
at low tide, part of the sand bank was blackish
and garbage were seen littering the shore.
but we love sitting on the grass in the resort premise n observe the raptor migration.
fantastic experience.
