A couple of things I would say about this hotel. The lobby area and spa are nice. The restaurant has a limited menu but our dinner was very good. The rooms themselves are on the small side and do not have air conditioning or fans. We were visiting during a warmer time in August and with a west facing room was uncomfortable. In terms of the area you are about a 15 minute walk from bars and about 10 from Dunnes and grocery store. Don't bother trying to walk to the beach.

The hotel was faultless. However, our stay was marred by aot of ill behaved children whose parents didn't give the slightest bit of consideration to other peoples enjoyment. Screaming and running around the restaurant etc. I would love to come back here, but only if it was an adults only venue

The walls were paper thin and could hear next door all night. The room was comfortable though and the breakfast was very tasty with good gluten free options. There was a nice walk by the hotel to a little beach. It is walkable into Arklow town too which was good. I was very surprised that the pool only opens at 9am on a Sunday, too late to get a swim in before breakfast.

The pictures on the app looked great and we really booked for the gym as it was in the area we wanted and had facilities. It didn’t open until 10 on a Sunday which is crazy. The hotel was incredibly run down, surprisingly so. Would NOT stay again.

Beds comfy, great window and view. We stayed in 7 hotels during our time in Ireland and this was the most expensive, which makes it seem like bad value because we had to clean the bath ourselves - it was full of dirt and hair. This was quite upsetting but as it was late we didn’t want to have to move. The corridor downstairs didn’t smell good which is another reason we didn’t want to move, we also didn’t want to lose our lovely view and comfy beds. It’s just a shame the bathroom was so run down and left dirty and hairy because for the cost you would really expect high quality cleaning. The hotel definitely needs updating and cleaning properly, or the price reduced to reflect the quality. I paid extra as a treat thinking it would be fancy, but even the cheapest hotel we stayed in this trip had a clean bathroom. Bit of a shame but aside from that we had a lovely stay.

I’m happy we were only here two nights
Our room was on third level near the lift at the junction of three hallways with doors that slammed every time someone closed one. It was also directly above the lounge and the live music came right through the floor. In addition, there was insufficient parking available for guests. At one point it was necessary park up the hill behind a barn in an unimproved unmarked lot.

The bathroom was very substandard. The basin leaked,the taps had no pressure and the basin was very small.The mirror light on the left didn’t work and the right hand light flickered. The door opened onto the basin making it too cramped. The tiling around the bath was damaged.
We told reception , someone came and looked but nothing was done . The pillows were rock hard. The whole room needs a serious upgrade. Definitely not up to 4 Star standard.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel the staff were expectional and all very warm and friendly from the receptionist checking us in to the bar staff even though it was very busy. The breakfast staff couldn't have done enough checking in and being generally very welcoming and giving suggestions on the local area. The food was all very good we really enjoyed are eveving meal and breakfast. The lcoation is also very central. We had a tiny drip from the room above but the receptionist staff sorted this issue hence why good and not excellent.

I was working at the Dan McCabe with guest Sina Theil and had a fantastic time, then after the show straight to bed which are comfortably had a nice quiet sleep up next morning checked out to do it all again at another venue, the staff where very friendly and had no issues with my stay so i would highly recommend stay at this hotel 😀

Went to see the High Kings playing in the hotel, had dinner beforehand which was lovely, geode variety on the menu to suit all, food was lovely, atmosphere was great, service was perfect start to finish! A nice hotel, staff were pleasant and food was very good jyst very diassapointed with the room. The room itself was spacious and clean but no view ... faced out to a wall up into trees and bushes ....not a big issue we werent gazing out the window it just made for a darker room but there was good lighting in the room. The main reason i wouldnt book again is that the heating wasnt working ... the room was freezing. I thought it might be on a timer so we huddled under the duvets (beds were comfortable thankfully). I did try every button and switch nearby and turning the knob on the central heating but nothing. Reported it the next day. Someone came down to look at it and confirmed the central heating wasnt working in the room do dropped down a small electrical heater. It wasnt too bad, took a while but took the chill out of the air. I did have to try 3 different plug sockets because the 1st two were giving a humming/staticy nouse and didnt sound good and when i plugged them out the plugvwas hot. Then later on that night we discovered via a near slip incident the grouting in the tiles on bathroom floor was wet. Reported to reception and again someone came up to check it. It was water seeping out from the seal around the toilet...obviously seeping when we flushed the toilet. Nothing they could do to fix it without taking up the toilet to reaseal it so put a towel around the base and gave us extra towels for the floor incase it got worse.Wouldn't be rushing back unfortunately.

Title: Staff Shines, but Overall Experience Falls Short
I want to start by acknowledging the wonderful staff at this hotel – their friendliness and assistance truly stood out during our stay. Unfortunately, the positives end there.
The value for money was quite disappointing ( €500+ seems to be the new normal for 1 room 2 nights) The high room rates were not justified by the overall experience. No sleep due to noise from other rooms. No sound proofing you could hear other guest on toilet. Full phone conversation from other rooms. Baby crying. Also spiders in the pool & rooms

Friendly but spartan
Very friendly service but they declined to book us a table at a local restaurant. Room was small and spartan. Mirror light in bathroom didn’t work properly, nor did the plug in the sink. There was a hole in the wall by the door. Water saving tap was very annoying and a bit weird, frankly. Couldn’t connect my phone to the TV using Airplay or Googlecast. The pool was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.
