Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with our stay here. The lobby and surrounding areas looked nice but the rooms were seriously neglected. There was mold all along the shower and tub. Walls were scuffed up and dirty and so was the carpet. The overall cleanliness was below average. The attention to detail was definitely lacking here especially for the price we paid to stay here as well as the hefty tourist fee we were charged.

Quirky decor but great pool area!

Unusal, quirky decor but a great hotel! Staff friendly and helpful, very clean, beds incredibly comfortable and a brilliant pool area.
Breakfast quite basic (extra charge for fried eggs or omelette) and restaurant pricey as often is the case in hotels.
Not central to Catania but lovely to be away from the craziness so you can relax. Good bus options to the town, or further up the coast.

The hotel itself facilities wise is good, great pool and private access to the beach. However the rooms are terrible! We paid extra for a deluxe room but it was incredibly old and dirty. We arrived to find an empty can of drunk Pepsi in the bathroom and vape wrappers by the safe. The room wasn’t cleaned deeply. We did get an apology from both the cleaners and reception but feel this shouldn’t have been missed had the room been cleaned properly in the first place. The ceiling is also rotting away in the room, see photos attached. I also would strongly NOT recommend the breakfast, it’s incredibly average and not worth paying for. The waiters rush you out of breakfast rudely if you’re still eating past 10am. Overall better to save your money and not get. Overall this hotel is a 3 star hotel, definitely not a 4 star hotel as advertised. Plus the hotel is incredibly far from Catania and anything decent to visit and you will have to keep on getting expensive Ubers to the city centre. There are better hotels towards Catania central which you must consider for the price as this place isn’t cheap either!

Accomation is bear enough to airport to make it a viable inexpedive option. Hotel food was good but not great. Parking at hotel was on the expensive side for whst should be free when staying at a hotel.

The hotel is a little dated but this did not take away from what a lovely stay we had.

Staff were so friendly and catered to all our needs. Very helpful.

We asked to see the \"Horta\" garden's. Which is well worth a look. This is where some of the produce for the restaurant is grown.

Cute little shops on site and the pool / seaside was very relaxing.

A good 30min walk to Aci castello centre and a bus ride from the centre of Catania.

Hotel was just a bit too far from centre. Requires expensive taxi rides. Not much choice of eateries near hotel. No hotel shuttle service.
Replenishing of room amenities not consistent, always missing items however housekeeping is very friendly and will respond with providing when asked.
Facilities in hotel limited. SPA not always avaliable, pool opens late in morning.
Room layout not good. Not enough electrical power points.
But has nice balcony and every room has view of sea.
Staff at front desk do try to be helpful but are limited in what they can help.

Really enjoyed the stay. Had a lovely big room facing the sea. The bed was big and very comfy. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, particularly the pancakes and pistachio cannoli. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the best I’ve ever tasted.

The property was too far from the actual town of Catania and there was no shuttle to the centre which was surprising considering that it is a 4 star hotel.
The bath tub is very high and difficult to get out of if you are a short person like me.
The whole hotel is very much stuck in a time-warp and looks like it was built in the 70's with nothing whatsoever having been changed or updated. There still are ash trays stuck to the walls outside the bedrooms!!!
The artwork all over the hotel is offensive to members of the Catholic Faith.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

During my stay at the hotel, I found it quite difficult to get a good night's sleep due to noise disturbances. The front court of the hotel was particularly noisy at night, with sounds from outside filtering into the room. Additionally, the restaurant across the street contributed significantly to the disturbance, as the sounds of conversations and general activity carried well into the late hours. While the hotel's location was otherwise convenient, the noise levels at night detracted from the overall comfort of my stay.

Pool is nice but the chair broke when my husband sat down and his head hit the ground and bricks. Staff just picked up the chair and left him on the ground . The smell is awful. Clearly not updated since the 70’s and the smell of smoke and I think mold on top of the dilapidated ceiling tiles. The bed night stand has glass and it was sticky and dirty on arrival. The smell was so bad I had to limit my time indoors.

We travelled by car, hence, the location was perfect for us (not directly in the centre, but a few minutes drive away). 24/7 parking was available which is extremely convenient and not expensive.

All staff were very professional, from the receptionists, those who cleaned our room, as well as the pool attendants.

The hotel was lovely, modern, clean and equipped with everything (pool, beach area, gym, bar). To top it off, it is very reasonably priced.

We look forward to visiting again in the future!

A Wonderful Stay with Room for Improvement

My partner and I recently stayed at Four Points, and we genuinely had a great time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting us with warm smiles and making us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our time there. However, there were a few things that didn't quite hit the mark for us. The parking arrangement was a bit frustrating, as they required us to leave our car keys inside the car with the doors and windows open at all times. This felt quite unsafe and inconvenient. We really hope the hotel considers a more secure and guest-friendly parking solution in the future. Additionally, we were a bit disappointed by the lack of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, it was challenging to find suitable options. It would be fantastic if the hotel could expand their menu to include more vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes. The pool closed surprisingly early, even though the sun was out until late. We were looking forward to a relaxing swim in the evening, but the early closure was a bit of a bummer. Extending the pool hours to match the longer daylight would be a great improvement. Despite these few hiccups, we had a lovely stay and would consider coming back. The genuine hospitality and pleasant ambiance really made a difference for us. With a few adjustments, this hotel could be even more amazing.

10 out of 10 experience, my only advice is for the hotel to start modernise the interior before it gets to the point were people feel it is an outdated hotel.

I would retouch the rooms with some plaster and withe paint, and change the carpets that look have been layed 40 years ago.

I would have expected a fine dining experience at the restaurant, instead I found QR code rather than a good old and timeless paper menu, and please do not serve condiments in a light blue plastic container, it looks very cheap.

Lovely looking hotel about 15-20 mins out side of city. Very stylish design-interior (brutalist structure with modernist furniture, art gallery and collection and installations throughout). Nice room but a bit old, air con was super noisy, but worked and could be quieted at less intensity, windows don't really open. Excellent breakfast. Amazing pool and nice pool area but beds cramped together and a lot of smokers outside so wasn't always nice to be there. One bad thing is no food available anywhere between 3pm-7pm. Or late at night, so not the best if your travel/meetings don't allow you to eat at strict hours. And not near any food shops so found this quite frustrating and inconvenient. Good helpful polite and friendly staff throughout.

As we have celebrated our wedding anniversary management surprised us with bottle of Prosecco and some nibbles which was very pleasant - thank you. Hotel staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Particularly Cloudia provided excellent very supportive services in difficult situations. Also Michaele live savings guy made the best Apperol Spriz. Breakfasts were great very tasty with a lot variety. Swimming at the pool was so enjoyable. Also very good setup with hotel beach entry. Just two things which bothered us was a smell from corridor carpet which in our opinion should be replaced and room air condition system which gave me a cough. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I'm not used to complain and write a bad review but this Time I have to.

I'll start with the worst cause it's what most bothering me.

The staff or someone else decided to open our room on the third day I guess using their master card cause the door was closed and locked. It happened without prior notice and while we showered. (Not for cleaning cause it was already cleaned and my girlfriend just got out of the shower and had to fight with them to close the door and talking to them didn't help cause they don't speak English.

*We ordered the suite room based on the pictures that showed a hot tub but apparently it didn't work and they just use it as a tub.

We didn't get the complementary water they said to give on the website and the welcome fruit basket where rotten.

The hotel is very far from everything and there is only 1 bus every two hours.

The breakfasts buffet was very limited and the night restaurant (the only one that was open in the entire area) had a very limited menu.

The staff doesn't know how to deal with calm complains and didn't offer any solution to any of the problems. (Maybe if we'd just scream or shout then something was different but I'm not that kind of person)

Its very frustrating to have a staff like this that only smile but isn't sincere and doesn't know how to comfort or to offer any solution.

The only two positive things about our stay was the comfortable bed and the ocean view but it's definitely not enough to choose this hotel.

The wifi did not work in our room, only worked somewhat in the bathroom. Unless you plan to rent a car or spend the money on an Uber, the bus only comes once an hour so it isn’t convenient to get to anywhere you would actually want to go seeing as it is about an hour walk from downtown Catania. That being said, the room itself seemed like it was half way through a renovation, the bathroom and flooring looked new but the dusty velvet walls did not. For the price it was not a bad stay.

Also, this is the only hotel I have been to which charges extra to hotel guests for sitting by the pool / beach... EUR 12 per day...

Cleanliness wise, this is not the best example of Sheraton standards.

* There was never someone available for support at the reception. I think they should hire extra staff for the reception.

* The breakfast could improve a lot. It was bad.

* Twice I called and went to the reception and the lady that was there said she couldn’t help because she couldn’t speak English. I don’t think a big hotel from a well-know chain should have staff that don’t speak English working at the reception.

Surprisingly chilled stay

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this hotel. Our plan was to use it as a base for exploring Catania and Taormina but we ended up spending more time sunbathing on our balcony, at the pool and on the sea platform than anticipated.
The hotel is clean and comfortable with an interesting collection of art on display.
We had to pay for the sun loungers which I wasn't aware of before arrival but that is the only negative point.
If you do plan to visit Taormina or Catania just check out the train times from Cannazaro and be aware they are infrequent.

Our stay at the hotel was overall very good. The room was gorgeous and the hotel in itself was too. There was a few points that let the stay down, one being the charges for use of sunbeds and breakfast is very pricey. Also the website should removed the Iron Kit off the room amenities as we had to ask for an iron, and the next day the maid took it away and we had to ask again! 8.5/10, would have been 10 if it wasn’t for the little things, really helpful staff too.

We usually stay at smaller boutique hotels but wanted a hotel by the sea and close to the Catania Airport for our last night in Sicily. We were not disappointed with Four Points. First, there was a room mix-up but was immediatly taken care of. We were given a larger room with a partial sea-view. Elisa and Antonella at the front desk were so kind and helpful. Grazie to you both! We had drinks across the street on the ocean for sunset. The breakfast was wonderful and then we were on our way. Again, Grazie for making our last night in Sicily so pleasant!

Great location for a quick respite

We were there for our last night in Sicily before heading to the airport. The car was safe in the garage and yes you do have to pay extra but it was worth it to me. Also Monica C
was very efficient and helpful during both our check in and check out process. Also there is a great restaurant about 50 yards away called Baffos and it was fantastic.

Very far from the center, problem with public bus, time is not time, for spa to use it you have to pay (I am not talking about massage)
I decided this hotel because I searched hotel with spa, there were many hotels with good location free shuttle

Clean and well decorated rooms. Staff were very helpful and the food was good. Large pool and private access to the beach with plenty of sun beds available. Great place to stay.

Beautiful hotel right next to the sea which is very accessible. The pool was absolutely beautiful. I do wish the pool was open a bit later, as it’s only open until 1900. Staff were very helpful however some could be a bit short. There is a shuttle, but it only goes to the city center and runs at strange times. Also, the AC in the rooms is not very strong. Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel feels rather dated and the decor in the rooms could really do with a refresh. Damp stained tiles, tatty edges and there were ants in the room. The shower head is a poor domestic version and the tap fell off too. I did not like the first room I had and reception offered me another. Housekeeping were also very efficient and dealt with the ants. I applaud the hotel for reducing the amount of single use plastic but you are only given one large glass bottle of water and then you need to pay for it. This should be replaced each day. The mini bar does not get checked or replenished. I had to let reception know upon checking out that I had used some of the drinks. However, the beds get 5 stars. They are extremely comfortable. Breakfast was average. Could not eat the watery scrambled eggs and what looked like boiled bacon. The sausages were some kind of chicken frankfurter style. The cold meats and cheese looked tired most mornings. The fresh fruit and croissants were good and the bread for toast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall I would say 3.5 out of 5.

Excellent Hotel

Excellent hotel conveniently located if you want to explore the local area and beyond (we had a hire car for the trip) - Etna 30min drive - Catania 15mins, Taormina 45mins and Syracuse 1hr 10mins . Quite a few bars/restaurants outside the hotel with sea views. Rooms were modern and spacious. Nice pool and access to the sea via private decking area.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay at Four Points Sheraton. It was quite comfortable and the staff are helpful. The pool is quite nice and I enjoyed swimming in the sea too.
The only thing is when we booked one of the amenities mentioned is that there is free bottled water. However when we got there we we’re told the only free water is one bottle at your arrival which is very misleading from what is advertised.
