Our stay was good, the only real issue was the bathtub, taking a shower is an adventure at best .

There were workers also staying here who were very rude and loud and noisy. We complained to the front desk who asked them to please be quiet for the other guests to no avail. Late at night we went to the office and were confronted with “ loco americanos”. The property was extremely unkempt and the guests rude. I felt uncomfortable and we checked out in the middle of the night. I would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone. The front office did try to help us but the other guests did not care and kept being obnoxious.

Housekeeping only came by once and I was there for 7 days. The appearance was not welcoming, there were old blood stains on one of my pillowcases aling with green mold on it, there was a crusty dried stain behind the sink handles, the sink and tub drains were clogged, marks all over the shower wall, shower head did not work. The curtains did not close all the way, centipedes in the room. I think it's crazy how they had 3 different hotel name signs and they were up before renovations were done. By the looks of it, they aren't even close. This used to be a really nice Holiday Inn Express years ago but was messed up because someone wanted to fix what wasn't broken. Hardly and air came from the AC. I worked at a well known hotel for 3 years and if I had worked for this one I'd be mortified. Never again will I stay at this one. Even the steps to upstairs were rusted and sitting away. There were stains on the towels. Is this hod you would expect for a room to be if it were you who were staying there? Do not stay here.

We stayed here about a month ago while in town for business and the room we had was very nice, so we decided to book again while back this month. This room we’ve gotten is in horrible shape, and we won’t be back next month when we travel back to NC. The bathroom is absolutely falling to pieces; the ac/fan does not work. There’s staining all over the walls, quite literally finger prints on the bathroom walls. Staining on bedding. If it wasn’t for the fact we got here after 10pm and had a baby with us, we wouldn’t have stayed in room 107 at all!

The door was warped I couldn’t get open. There were some unsavory stuff happening outside, so I left within 5 minutes without even getting the refund. The staff never responded to my messages messages when I wrote them. I felt unsafe. I don’t believe the staff is a fault or the facility itself. It was more than an environment situation.

The bed was very comfortable.

The top door lock was hanging off the door, the shower was disguisting, the one lamp literally had a shade falling apart and I had to use a hair tie to close the curtains.

Had it not been for us driving until 2 am, I would have left. My fault for not reading all of the reviews. I do have pictures.

Decided to extend our honeymoon trip an extra day, and visit Andy Griffith's homestead area. Floors and bathroom were filthy, had trouble finding outlets just to plug in lamp and microwave, breakfast fruits were old, and couldn't even get an actual receipt when checking out. Glad this was a one time stay!

Maybe the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Black hair in the shower, floor is filthy. I was afraid to walk around without my shoes on in the room. Dirty smudges on walls, you can see daylight under the door. If we hadnt been exhausted from driving all day, we probably would have packed up our luggage for five people and left. Never never never stay here.

The motel we had a reservation at had to cancel due to our rooms having damage from previous guests. The only rooms available were at this motel. The rooms were very dirty. I can handle a run down place if its clean. We had to go to the dollar store to get fabreeze so we could stand staying in the rooms. There were 3 of us in one room and 4 in the other. There were 2 sets of towels in each room. When we ask for more towels you would have thought we were asking for a brick of gold or something. The man was upset cause we wanted more towels. He kept saying there shoukd be 3 sets. Well there wasnt and even if the one room had 3 sets it still wasnt enough. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I will not be back and will avoid choice hotels at all cost.

Very dirty. Hair all over the bathroom floor and the tub was filthy. Stains on all furniture, bed was sketchy and hard. Stains on the ceiling and walls. The structure was not well taken care of and the room as a whole had holes.

This property is conveniently located. The king bed was very comfortable and there were pillows of various thickness available.
Upon check in, i asked for a first floor room and was told the hotel was full. However, the room below ours was available all night.
Unfortunately, the room was not very clean. The shower curtain rod was coming off of the wall- causing water to pool on the floor, creating a hazard.
The building is in serious need of updating.

The property looked like a flea market outside some of the rooms near the doors. The rooms curtains were coming loose at the top. So, we were forced to use the ironing voard and our chip clips to keep curtains closed that night. The hot water was minimal being hot. The toilet at the base leaked some. It was very noisy from other guests. The bed and furniture was older and uncomfortable. Rm 104 2nd time staying after asked to come back for another try. It won't happen again! This Econo Lodge is a Choice Hotel obviously by payment by the owners of this franchise. Pitiful excuse to call a Choice Hotel.

Did not feel safe while I was there. The locks were loose and there was a gap around the door. Paint was peeling off several places in the room even though the website said recently renovated. Paint was peeling off the stairs to the second floor. Bathtub was very old and therefore looked dirty due to age. Couldn't understand the man at the front desk that checked me English was definitely not his first language. Heating unit in the room was old and took forever to heat the room and was extremely noisy and kept me up

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room clean. New mattress. The rest was dilapidated as it is obvious that the owner cares little about maintenance. Carpet has been removed and replaced by vinyl tile. The heater is full of lint and dust and could only be shut off by unplugging it. Water wouldn’t get hot in the sink. Did get a good nights sleep.

We booked the room on the fly during late night travel, for what i thought was for 6 people but apparently i only marked 2. First, when i arrived no one could be located to check in, (the clerk was outside somewhere) then the key cards we were given did not work(clerk was nice enough to reset the cards so we could get in our room), there was no extra linens and no sheets on pullout couch(went to ask for extras and was told they couldnt give me any before 6am the next day because Housekeeping locks the door when they leave and they cannot acces it to get more), the door to our room would not close properly and kept popping back open( i had to prop the chair under the handle though it did not fully open with the switch bolt clicked in place there was still a sizable gap without the chair there), when i took a shower the next morning i slipped and injured myself In the tub due to no traction areas in the tub itself. When going down to check out the next day and inform of problems the clerk stayed on the phone so i was unable to talk to him for more than a second to let them know we were leaving.

Other than these issues(which may be a one off thing) this is not a bad place to rest your head for the night and the price is a great deal. It looked like they have some renovations going on so there was some equipments and stuff ynder stairways and what not but other than that the hotel was clean and quiet and satisfactory

The place was old and questionable people working there. To me it appeared to be prison work release. As soon as I parked in parking lot sweeper was looking in my car windows. Questionable women sweeping pool at midnight. Manager said we owed 20 dollars for one towel my friend gave them a white towel. Then claim even short more towels. I said not one more dime. Then harassed my friend until he gave them 10. I would sleep in the rain first. Just all around criminals. We thought a maybe left a towel at pool a hotel worker was out at pool at midnight. I told manager worker was out there and his response she did not work there. She was working out there when I arrived. Just criminals.

My stay here can be met with below average reviews. The only saving grave of the location was able to see the moutain from my window. It was a beautiful view but the location was dirty, stank of weed, and had very loud occupants next to us. While the rooms were clean the exteriour is run down and in my closed I had exposed wires.

Walked into the room and we were unable to close the blinds completely due to them being shorter then the window.
Had to prop a chair against the blind in order to close it.
Reserved a non smoking room but when we walked it had smoke odor.
The towel rack in the bathroom was about to fall off the wall.

This has been the worst experience we have ever had.
We were visiting friends and we wanted to stay close and this was the closed one. Next I will look for a better hotel further away.
