Simple room with few amenities, which is exactly what we wanted. We stayed here last year on our trip to Mount Airy so there were no surprises. Convenient to downtown and lots of restaurants. Breakfast is your standard cereal, muffins, and waffles. Nothing fancy, which again, was fine with us. My only complaint this time was that housekeeping only brought us clean towels once, and that was after she knocked on the door and asked if we needed any. After that, nothing. I think thats something most people expect, even in a bare minimum hotel. Again, everything else was fine, and we wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised, from the outside you know it's an older building but my room appears to be recently renovated, look exactly like the photos online, spotless, even the bedding appears to be new. Bed extremely comfortable. The towels are adequate, not fluffy but certainly not thread bare. Frig was on and cold. My only suggestion is a small alarm clock so you know what time it is in the middle of the night. Sadly, the breakfast was disappointing, no fruit, no yogart, there was instant oatmeal but no water to make it with. Only squeeze margarine for toast, no english muffins, and didn't see any jam or peanut butter. Orange juice tasted sour. The gentlemen that checked me in was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Nicely renovated motel

Room has been completely renovated. The room was very clean. Fit my needs for a place to sleep overnight on a vacation trip to the Atlantic coast. This is a basic room in a Budget motel, but recommend for a one night stay due to renovation and cleanliness. If spending multiple nights in area you may want a facility with more amenities.

Last minute stay while traveling through Mt. Airy. We had a very good stay, especially for the price. We liked being able to park right at the door of our room, no stairs. The room was very clean, no carpeting, which is nice in an older motel. The bathroom looked newly remodeled. The only negative was the comforter was a little worn, but the sheets were crisp, clean, and very white. If ever here again, we would definitely stay here.

Knights Inn – Mount Airy, NC

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my family wasn’t able to check in on the night we had booked. Wanting to be courteous and avoid being a “no-show,” I messaged the hotel through the booking app, which said someone from the property would follow up with me directly. Days went by with no response, and then I noticed we were charged for the night.

When I called the hotel to inquire, the gentleman I spoke with was surprisingly aggressive. He curtly explained that they don’t offer refunds—regardless of whether you show up—because “it’s a business.” I tried to explain that families budget carefully for vacations and that it would’ve been helpful to at least receive some communication. He seemed annoyed and dismissive.

I would not recommend Knights Inn in Mount Airy, NC based on the poor customer service alone. A little empathy and professionalism go a long way, especially in the hospitality industry.

We didn’t stay the pictures of the room were not like what u saw when u get there. The breakfast area was the size of a small break room with 3 tables . Rooms are very small and bed was hard. Also there was no mention of the pool being closed and this was one reason for booking this place. I had a child with me and she was very disappointed. The manager told us we had to contact hotels.com to cancel and they were very unhelpful and not courteous at all. They wanted to charge us for one night and that wasn’t happening. How do you know what you’re getting til you arrive. The First Lady said a manager would call me in 2 to 3 hours never heard back. I then spoke to someone else who was hard to understand and he told me to handle it myself and hung up on me!!!! I was so mad but they didn’t get any of my money. Don’t recommend this place to anyone and if u do go make sure all the amenities are available.

The room had been sprayed with a heavy deodorizer which had a strong flowery smelled. Gave me a very bad head ache. There was no coffee pot, no usb port to charge the phone. The room just did not have a good feel about it.

Wouldn't be my first pick again, but was fine.

I made a last minute choice to stay overnight and chose quickly, without really knowing the area. It wasn't the safest feeling place I've ever stayed, and if I'd taken the time, I might have chosen a different location. There were very few cars in the parking lot and the lot was not well-lit, which made me nervous.
The bed was comfortable and I slept fine. Getting the heat at the right temp was a struggle, but it finally got worked out.
In using the bathmat after a shower, I noticed that the mat was dirtier underneath, from the water getting to floor, When I looked at it closer, it was the floor that was filthy and the mat just picked that up once it got wet.

Inexpensive, simple motel. If you're looking bells and whistles this isnt for you. A great, quiet place to lay your head after exploring Mt. Airy. Very convenient to downtown and lots of good places to eat. Room was clean, area was quiet. Super nice gentleman checked us in. Would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, but not a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

The motel was older, but well maintained. The owner was friendly. They provided a nice continental breakfast with a cute dining area in the lobby. If you are looking for a nice, clean place and don’t mind that it is a little older, then you probably won’t mind staying here. The location is great and close to all the attractions of Mount Airy.

The room (with a shower/toilet room and a sink just outside the bath) was immaculately clean, beds, pillows and comforters were very comfortable. Front desk was very polite. It was not posh, but clean, secure (chain lock, door knob lock and throw bolt) and very popular.

This hotel is subpar at best. Not worth the price. At check in the credit card machine did not work. I spent a half hour waiting for the clerk to try to get it to work with no avail. I finally had to go and get cash to pay for the room. The ice machine was out of order. Our room's air conditioner barely worked and it was off when we got to the room. The room smelled like bleach and the floor was sticky. The bathroom is the size of a closet. The breakfast was horrible. The juice machine did not work and the bagels were stale.

I was really disappointed in the motel in itself. Not so great customer service, room half clean, holes in the comforters and stains on the sheets. The floor was filthy. Very outdated. Even as an economy motel- it is very overpriced for what you get. We definitely will not visit this location again.

We stayed here on our way to Niagara Falls, was pleasantly surprised how nice the rooms were even the swimming pool. Even though a few umbrellas for the tables would’ve been nice. Mark was very accommodating and friendly. We will stay here again if we are in the area. Dollar General is right next to the hotel, which is great. Trump 2024 check twice for motorcycles

Check in was great. Guy was quick and efficient, very nice. Room was spotless, organized. Evidently recently remodeled. Room size was good for 2 adults, 2 kids. Best .. most comfortable motel bed I've slept on. Very quiet at night. Only thing I can complain.. not really... the tv picture was a bit dark, and I couldn't adjust it. Breakfast was a bit scarce, but area was clean and neat. Probably the best motel I've been in as far as I can remember. Kids loved the pool BTW!

This hotel is dated (I got a literal key!). BUT … the bedding and room were clean. Bed was comfortable and the location was very convenient to where I was going every day. WiFi worked great - I spent part of my days working and didn’t have any issues. There is a pool that looked clean and well kept, but I didn’t have a chance to use it.

Breakfast isn’t much. Coffee was OK and the staff I interacted with were very nice.

Worth the price.
