There was an odour upon coming into our room which was rather sour smelling . It seemed to disappear after awhile but was unpleasant. A lightbulb was out beside the bed. Although the bed was comfortable, the duvet was very warm… another light blanket would have been good. The breakfast was very tasty. The hotel was good value for money yet it needs some tender loving care to make it sparkle. The housecleaning staff worked hard. The free parking was excellent!

Lilbourne hotel rather than St Emilion.
We can usually count on Ibis for comfortable beds and good wifi - good for overnighters moving on early the next day. We fancied somewhere close to St Emilion - after a day in the car, a stroll into this pretty town. The hotel is advertised as 1.4km from St Emilion - just right for a walk. It wasn't. 5.3 km on our car sat Nav - not a walk on a cold, misty night. Then - the wifi is down - everywhere. Actually, it was fine in St Emilion - but not at the hotel. Then, the hotel restaurant is being renovated. You can have a cold buffet after 7pm for 14.90€. We chose the drive to St Emilion and enjoyed a three course hot meal for 17€. However, the bed was fine - but one full pillow and four small ones was different. Similarly, two towels and one floor mat - nothing else. We did have the breakfast next morning - 9.90€ each for a good buffet - cold but for the self boiled eggs. No complaints there. While clean and warm, this hotel needs a little more care to bring it up to usual Ibis expectations. Perhaps the restaurant renovation is the start of this. Lovely trees and grass outside and certainly busy with overnighters.

This is ok for a one night stay especially if you prefer to be out of the town. Location is quiet and pleasant however the hotel is very basic clean and somewhat dated. Very disappointed that the restaurant was closed as it was a holiday... no indication was given of this on booking! After a long drive it was not pleasant to have to go out again looking for food! The other downside was our room smelled of stale cigarette smoke this despite the hotel being listed as non smoking area!

Clean and comfortable the only things lacking were an elevator, better towels, and more than just a bath towel. I prefer to have a hand towel to dry my hands separate from my bath towel -- and there was no wash cloth, either. The towels we did have were old, thin and rough. The restaurant was great for the prices. The staff is very nice. Easy checking in and out.

Property was unkempt and the air conditioner did not work. The desk attendant told us to be patient, it just took awhile to kick on. It never kicked on. We asked for a room discount or a free breakfast and were denied. This was our second time at an Ibis. The first was not good either but we decided to give the hotel chain a second chance. They won’t get a third.

Our room was clean and everything worked...there's a back entrance into the hotel through the garden which is nice if your room is near there. The breakfast is ten euros extra and standard quality for French hotel breakfasts... espresso machine but no cappuccino, juice, bread, boiled eggs, ham and cheese. Nuit catastrophique ! Le système de ventilation chauffage était extrêmement bruyant. Après avoir alerté la réception dès mon arrivée, l'on m'a avoué que toutes les chambres étaient bruyantes à cause de la ventilation. Pas de solution si n'est de couper le système de chauffage mais avec température extérieure négative le chauffage était nécessaire. J'ai dû alterner soit chauffage soit le silence pour dormir un peu mais en ayant froid. C'est une honte pour cette catégorie d'hôtel. Cet hôtel est obsolète, une rénovation générale est à prévoir

Auf unserer kurzen Weinreise ins Bordeaux haben wir die erste Nacht in St. Emilion verbracht. Das Städtchen konnte mit dem Auto bequem in ein paar Minuten erreicht werden. Das Zimmer war für ein Ibis schon fast geräumig. Es war auch überraschend ruhig. Nur wenn Personen auf dem Gang wirklich laut gesprochen haben, hörte man es gut.
Zudem ist der - für Frankreich eher untypische - starke Wasserdruck der Duschbrause auch positiv zu erwähnen.

Bon accueil. Mais une fois dans la chambre l’odeur de fumée nous a fait ressortir et aller demander un changement de chambre. Pas possible car hôtel complet. Une des personnes à l’accueil a proposé de pulvériser un désodorisant dans la chambre. Résultat : impossible de respirer car l’odeur du désodorisant était très tenace. Après des heures d’aération, nous avons dormi avec cette odeur toute la nuit. Mauvaise expérience !!!

Satisfaisant pour une étape (cela évite les bouchons sur Bordeaux). Hôtel en bordure de route mais très calme la nuit. Chambre confortable malgré une sale odeur de tabac. Petit déjeuner limité par cause sanitaire et de distanciation peu respectée par les usagers (oubli de port du masque, enfants qui circulent entre les tables, ...). Bon petit bar/restaurant pour le dîner du soir (carte classique avec burger, salades, ...).
