Hotel was fine for the price and to stay one night on my own but the rooms were so small I’m pleased I was alone. Dinner in the restaurant was better that expected although the choice (other than many kinds of pizza) was limited. Breakfast was fine but limited hot food.
Very pleasant staff in the hotel.

This hotel advertises a restaurant with Chef but surprisingly
Only snacks, Pizza, was available.
Now having stayed at this hotel previously and experiencing the apologies that the Chef is not available due to unforseen circumstance I wonder is he really that unlucky or possibly that there is actually no Chef on tbe staff.
The reception staff were very helpful and served Pizza and drinks whilst astoundingly other guests were better prepared as they turned with takeaways which seems to show that they knew there was no Chef.
I will never stay there again.

arrival coincided with a coach party .some what chaotic.Did not seem prepared for the party. Needed extra people on duty.
Saturday meal was a pizza, but ok .
Breakfast next day ...food area stripped!!!had to ask for a baguette!!Also did not replenish fruit, sliced meat.
Need to be up front if no meals available on Saturday or Sunday

Really nice and pleasant reception process, plus the receptionist made sure that we had dinner even when we arrived late, after restaurant closing. She also arranged late breakfast for us.
Lovely human being.
Room was basic but clean, and price reflected that.
Good parking.

A Budget Hotel with tiny bathrooms

This is a budget Hotel on the outskirts of Challons and ideal for stop but not overly comfortable. The Breakfast was good but expensive @14 euro each. The rooms are tiny, no English channels on the TV, bathroom adequate, only one side table. The restaurant served a very small selection of food which was adequate but expensive @ Euro £16.95 or Euro !8 for a large Pizza. THey appeared to expect everyone to attend the Restaurant @ 19.30 and then wait whilst one server took orders, served drinks and delivered to table.The Service was good and all staff appeared very pleasant, 2 out of 3 spoke good english. Big issue was the lack of a lift.

Convenient for one night

This hotel is getting a bit old - the room doors rattled and the locks were tricky. No lift.
But it is very convenient when going east or south through France being close to the motorway, and on a Monday night it was full. It is on a business park and quite hard to find so we slept well.
Average burger chips evening meal.

Good for an overnight stay, great staff

Overnight stay en-route back to Eurotunnel after a 2 week trip. Arrived late after a long drive from Northern Italy.
On arrival we were greeted by Aurelien, who did a great job to make us feel welcome, and helped us find a couple more pillows. Had a comfortable night's sleep in a well airconditioned room. Unfortunately no time for breakfast, else we would have as it looked good.
Overall the hotel is a bit in need of updating, but for us it was a welcome oasis on the long road.

On balance a good stay

Male receptionist on arrival not welcoming. Just said room that way! Room fine, location good for one night stay on travels. Challon has plenty of alternative food options if the hotel offerings do not inspire. Breakfast staff and morning receptionist were welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was a good experience with adequate buffet.

Overnight Stay at Ibis Châlons en Champagne

The hotel is situated in a great location on the outskirts of Châlons en Champagne. The room was clean, cosy and well designed with an en-suite shower room. The hotel is recently refurbished so feels modern and well looked after. It’s easy to access the main tourist sights from the hotel as well as lots of eateries, restaurants, bars in town and famous Champagne Houses. It’s a pet friendly hotel too which is fabulous when traveling with your doggy family members. A quiet location away from the busier town centre with quick access to the motorway. Breakfast is good with a typical continental themed buffet that has plenty to set you up for the day. Overall, a very good location for us to rest for the night and break up a long car journey.

The hotel is a few klm from A4 and easy to find . It was near the forest and across from an industrial park of mainly offices.
Not ideal for anyone who finds stairs difficult as there were 8 steps up to the rooms.
The staff were very friendly and offered to open the fire exit which led to the rooms with no stairs to go up but this was further from the parking.
We didn’t have breakfast as wanted an early start .
It was clean and new and just what was needed for an overnight stay

Acceptable if you got nothing better around.

Restaurant staff was not the best. No busy but very slow and keep forgetting all the standard like just replace cutlery between one course and other. Drink asked several time, ask for small arrived big one after 2/3 time was asked.
Not all staff of course but a couples were not really bother on the time I satyed there.
Nothing major but it could be better come on.

Unfortunately when I was checking out the manager told me a payment had not been taken. I reluctantly paid again. I have now contacted the hotel and am still waiting to be refunded my money.

One night business trip

One night business trip. Easy to find and park, but a few km outside of Chalons-en-Champagne. Easy check-in and a welcoming bar and small restaurant. (Had a great burger!). The room was fine, good bed and shower, and good wifi. Will stay again.

One of the poor relations of the Ibis group, stuck in an odd corner of a large Agricultural centre, staffed by very young girls, although they were pretty efficient at the booking and helpful too.
The rooms weren't dirty but not spotless either, just looked and felt slightly unkempt.

A good French hotel

Very clean and well presented. Comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. We enjoyed our evening meal in the small restaurant after crossing France from the west coast. Afterwards an evening stroll around the wooded grounds of the agricultural college provided a welcome relaxation to end our evening. An excellent buffet breakfast in the morning to help us on our way to the Franco-German frontier.

Convenient stop over hotel

This is the second time we've stayed here on our return journey from the south. Convenient for time and distance both from the south and to the tunnel. The first time we stayed we hadn't been able to ascertain whether there was a restaurant as the web site didn't specify. There was, however this time having expected the restaurant there were only snacks available which was a pity as we'd been relying on this! Snacks were OK but a full meal would have been better.
Breakfast very good and plentiful.

Convenient stop off for trip to south of France

We stopped over at the hotel for 1 night on our way to the south of France, the rooms were very comfortable, the staff great and we had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant. This was our first trip with the family pet which was also made very welcome at the hotel. There's plenty of countryside around the hotel for the obligatory dog walk :) We will certainly stop here again on future trips.

We stayed one night travelling from England to Italy. This was a good hotel for our purposes, close to motorway, a little bit tricky to find at the last hurdle, on the edge of an industrial/retail park and difficult to see the signs at night (tip: turn left before going on the park).

The staff were pleasant, we arrived after 10pm but were still able to have food and a drink from a bar menu. Our room was clean, a bit smaller than expected, but nice bathroom, comfy bed, good breakfast, quick checkout.

We thought it might be noisy when we saw the industrial estate but it wasn't

Great for a stop over and a good night's sleep

I find the location of the hotel great for breaking my journey between the Midlands and Provence. The room is minimal but very clean and the bed is so comfortable, great for a good night’s sleep. The restaurant and bar area is modern and smart. The members of staff are lovely and so helpful making you very welcome. It is on the outskirts of a business park so other bars and restaurants are a short car journey away but the location suits me because it is quiet and tranquil with a large car park where I feel comfortable and safe to leave my car loaded with my belongings. I very much look forward to staying there again later in the year.

Located a 10 minute drive out of Chalon, the Ibis is not ideally placed and has nothing in the nearby vicinity for a guest. At the time of my stay, the whole reception area was being worked on and any improvement can only help. But the rooms were comfortable and the food was good, breakfast was basic.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Bed so comfortable that I was able to have a good nights sleep. Free wi-fi a big plus. Main public rooms being refurbished but an other area available for the restaurant causing no inconvenience to guests. I look forward to staying there again and seeing the new decorations.

We were travelling back from the south of France and stayed one night. It is on the outskirts of a lovely town. After a short stop in the town centre we drove off to find the hotel and did so without too much trouble though you have to drive around the office estate to find it. It is a strange drive back to the autoroute, going through streets which don't look like main roads. Hotel itself is ideal for a stopover. Comfortable ample sized room, nice bar & lounging area, excellent breakfast. There are no closeby restaurants so you have to eat inhouse but food is actually very good. All staff were very helpful.
We would go back.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits correctes : la literie est bonne.
Ménage un peu aléatoire et odeurs assez désagréables dans les communs.
Quant aux petits-déjeuners, ils sont assez décevants : ils sont servis jusqu'à 10h, mais dès 9h, vous n'avez plus de pain ni de viennoiseries.
Et les tasses présentent toutes des traces de café ou de thé : un coup d'éponge en plus du lave-vaisselle suffirait à les nettoyer correctement !
Beurre avec 2 jours de date !
Et les tables du petit-déjeuner ne sont pas nettoyées entre 2 passages.

Moquette totalement sale dans les escaliers et dans les couloirs.
Douche bouchée, l'horreur!
Aucun verre (même éco responsable) dans la salle de bain...
Plat commandé au restaurant pour être monté en chambre, finalement la cuisine avait oublié d'avertir l'équipe de service qu'il n'y avait plus de poisson, on m'avertit 10 minutes après en me laissant le choix entre andouillette et salade végétarienne, rien qui me fait envie... Gentiment la personne me propose que la cuisine ma fasse une grand salade caesar, ça partait d'un bon sentiment, j'ai apprécié, merci à cette personne!
Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise quand j'ai vu arriver ma salade: 16,95€ pour une grande majorité de feuilles de salade, quelques quartiers de tomates pas mûrs, du parmesan et quelques morceaux de poulet + un peu de pain grillé...
FRANCHEMENT SUPER DECUE POUR UN IBIS...

Merci tout de même à la jeune fille à l'accueil, fort sympathique et serviable, heureusement qu'elle était là!

C’est une véritable honte qu’un établissement pareil porte le panneau ibis. Ça sent les égouts dans la chambre, il y a des trous dans la literie (fais avec des cendres de cigarettes) Les tarifs du restaurant sont indécent, 16 € une brochette d’agneau pour avoir 4 petits morceaux pas cuit, je me suis nourri avec du pain rassis que j’ai utilisé pour manger la sauce du plat. Le dessert à 7,50 € pour avoir une tartelette avec le fond de tarte crue ! L’électricité douteuse dans les chambres…..

La chambre avait une odeur de cigarette, heureusement le lit etait frais et sentais \"bon\". Cuvette pas impeccable mais surtout fissurée et donc je me suis fait mal !
Et pour finir j aurais souhaité une baignoir et non une douche..car sur la description c était écrit salle de bain et non salle d'eau..
