Ideal for a city break in Hameln

The Mercure is ideally situated by old Hamelin, within a five minute walk you're in the heart of the old town. The hotel isn't a new build but has been well maintained. The is a small parking place at the front of the hotel for approximately a dozen cars. We arrived late evening and it was full so parked in instead in the underground parking for the town hall, which has a direct exit for the hotel and costs €8.50 and via the hotel. The breakfast offering is a wide selection from continental, German, and cooked with a great selection of coffee, teas and quality juices. Although breakfast is included automatically, it shouldn't be missed. We were travelling as a family with two children aged 10 and 7, and it was easy to cater for them. Would also recommend Cafe Am Ring across the park to the hotel and we ate well there too.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of the old town with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside side from the balcony. The rooms are fairly dated, particularly the bathroom. The bed was a littleness room firm for me . The breakfast was superb with wonderful choices including pancakes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel in a quiet but central location.

Very enjoyable one-night stay. We strolled around the town from the hotel and appreciated the location. Had a refreshing swim in the decent-sized pool. (N.B. Take a towel from the room. Their were none at the pool). The buffet breakfast was excellent - plenty of fruit and pancakes, and the coffee was good.

Hotel with a great location

The hotel is just across the street from the Historic town, next to the city hall and the famous piped peter status, a park and a theatre. The breakfast was hearty and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The double-room is not huge, but spacious enough for a couple, and all rooms are equipped with a veranda.

The room was sooo small; I thought it was a cupboard. The towel was old with threads hanging off. Not good for a 4 start hotel.

We stay here whenever in area. Nice, large, clean rooms. Good food in restaurant with outdoor seating available. The wiener schnitzel was outstanding! Lovely park next door and easy access to shops & restaurants. Quiet rooms.
Only issue we ever had was we were told check out was 11. We asked for a delay to 12 but were told not possible. So I sat in the lobby for an hour. Them I asked the desk clerk why (since we are regular guests) we could not have that hour, she informed us check out is noon and we should have been allowed access to the room for that hour. \"I'm sorry my colleague told you that\". No further info given. I had to leave so quickly I left my phone charger behind. They offered to send it to me for €3.45 or €36. If I wanted insurance.
Anyway, it's a great hotel. Just have a bit of sour taste right now because of that hour of discomfort and what I felt was an insincere apology.

The parking was very easy as you can just park in the underground garage of the Rathaus. The hotel is right next to it. It's also very closely located to the Altstadt where you can see all the tourist attractions.

This large, modern hotel overlooks a beautiful city park, just right for afternoon & evening strolling. The old city was a short walk on the other side of the park. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was overwhelming - there were so many choices - enough for several meals! The staff was courteous, but always seemed to be very busy. Parking was in a parking garage around the corner from the hotel.

Very convenient location for visits to the old town, which can be explored on foot a short distance away from the hotel. Parking is limited, especially on a busy day, but off-street parking is available as the neighbouring streets are very residential. Breakfast is not bad.

Comfrtable hotel, 5 mins from the Altstadt

I'll start with the only negative comment I'm going to make - the car parking is very limited and, the staff admitted, they can't even be sure that every space is occupied b a hotel guest. So be ready to have to drive around the corner to the municipal car park (underground) when you arrive. It's no great inconvenience, the car parks actually under the hotel but they do charge you 7.50 a day, so be aware.

That said, everything else about the hotel was top-rate; the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was remarkable, in my experience, for a chain hotel and the location is ideal. There's a nice swimming pool (which we checked out but didn't use), a Bierstuben with a great range of drinks, hard to think of anything missing. We'll definitely be using this place again.

This is the nicest hotel at which we stayed on our recent trip to Germany. The room was very well appointed, with modern flat screen TV and a very comfortable king bed. This well exceeded our expectations. Room was clean, from the balcony to the bathroom. Climate control in the room worked well. The hotel is located a short walk from the Old City. The reception staff were friendly and professional. Fresh fruit was available at the desk. Unfortunately our stay was very brief, one night, so we weren't able to avail ourselves of the pool or fitness room. The included breakfast was the best we've ever had in Europe. The fresh juice press was a very nice touch and the food service people were attentive. This property is definitely on our stay at again list should we be back in Hamelin.

Hotel is located 2 min walk from city centre yet with easy access to the main roads out of Hameln. The room looked fresh and was well appointed. I was hoping for a gym but it doesn't exist, there is however a spa area. I only used the restaurant for lunch which was really good.

The lobby and reception area are very nice and the breakfast buffet was very good. The rooms however were extremely basic. We did not even have a carlet in our room and the picture was glued to the wall with no frame! The cleaniless was ok, but could hsve been better, the back of the bathroom door war very grubby, I had to give it a bit of a wipe myself!

A modern build hotel conveniently located next to a lovely small park and the old town centre. Rooms normal hotel fare, very clean, and most with a small balcony. Mercure Hotel in Hameln Germany very convenient

Hameln is a lovely little town reknowned for the legend of the Pied Piper. The hotel is quiet and overlooks a lovely well tendered park and is walking distance to the information centre and sites of the town, plus convenient to restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops etc. Train station is approx 5 minutes by car. Hotel staff were very friendly and efficient.Map and directions for the town were given to us at check in which was very handy. We found we had plenty of space in our room and it was clean and comfortable. Cost for Wifi we found expensive compared to other accommodation we have stayed at although you can use the free hotel complimentary internet in the lobby as an alternative.

Der Zimmerservice sollte auch mal prüfen, ob der Haartrockner in Ordnung ist. Und wir hatten leider noch den Snack der Hundes auf dem Zimmer, der dort wohl vorher mit seinem Herrchen übernachtet hat. Ärgerliche Details, die das sonst sehr gute Bild etwas trüben. Alles in Allem aber okay.

Hotel conveniente, a passos do centro histórico, com estacionamento fácil (pago na maior parte das vezes pq os espaços na frente do hotel são escassos). Tudo correu bem, exceto a entrada no quarto onde havia um cheiro nauseabundo, mas foi rapidamente sanado por um funcionário. Outro ponto de desatenção ao checklist da limpeza foi o fato que o dispenser de sabonete no box do banho estava completamente vazio. Mas foram coisas menores. O resto foi impecável e o café da manhã repleto de opções com produtos de qualidade.

Personal war sehr nett, das Frühstück lecker und reichhaltig, die Umgebung super. Parkplätze nur sehr begrent und unter Kastanienbäumen, das Parken in der Straße (kostet Gebühren) ist empfehlenswert. Das Zimmer war ok, sauber aber super heiß, ohne Klimaanlage. Bad relativ alt. Leider keine Bar o.ä. im Restaurant. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel, aber keinesfalls den hohen Preis wert.

Sehr schönes Hotel direkt am Park.
Angestellte alle sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam.
Zwei Sachen haben mich nicht zu 100% überzeugt, die Matratzen sind viel zu weich und die Balkonbrüstung im 5 Stock ist viel zu niedrig auf keinen Fall für große Menschen und Kinder geeignet!
Sonst war alles super vorallen das Frühstück, es hat an nichts gefehlt!

Das Hotel liegt fußläufig zur schönen Altstadt. Toller Blick, kostenloses Wasser und leckeres Frühstück. Parksituation ist allerdings eine Katastrophe, zahlt lieber direkt im Parkhaus sonst werdet ihr doppelt abgerechnet.

Super Personal. Zimmer top und sauber, auch das Bad passende Größe und sauber. Highlight war die Sauna, toller Ausblick auf Hameln. Leihbademantel und Schlappen an der Rezeption erhältlich. Im Saunabereich sind Handtücher vorhanden, alles im Preis enthalten. Alles in allem alles top und empfehlenswert
