The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of town, a 4 minute walk to the lift station. The rooms are spacious and beds super comfortable. The decor and cleanliness throughout is impressive. Delicious breakfast and dinner.

Alpenhaus Kaprun is a fabulous hotel - great location for ski lifts and shops, very comfortable and spacious rooms, really great food (we were half board) and super friendly and accommodating staff. I was given the worst room in the When I asked them to change my room, they excused themselves by saying that the hotel was fully booked and that I had another room for another guest. This is disgusting discrimination. I will not repeat the experience. They ruined my vacation.

We actually hoped to stay in Zell am See, but this location in Kaprun turned out to be a better choice. The hotel is in a great location and the food served for meals was a gourmet experience. We greatly enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel is located directly on Kaprun centre and you can reach the slopes within 350 meters from hotel. This is the biggest advantage of your winter holiday.
The hotel is very well equipped with beautiful spa area divided to adults only and family area. They have also big size swimming pool with jacuzzi.

Receptionist was very rude, her machine didn’t work to hold the money and her altitude was very bad, it took more than 30 minutes to get the check in over with. Parking costs 12 euros a day which was not mentioned in the booking details. We stayed for 5 days and The restaurant staff was rude most of the time. There is no AC in the hotel and it was extremely hot during the day

We had a fantastic stay at the Alpenhaus in November 2021, the welcome, the levels of service, the food, the bedrooms....all were fantastic and we had no cause to complain about any of those aspects.
Had a room with a balcony with gorgeous views of the Kitzsteinhorn (when the mist allowed).
The spa/pool areas were also really good, and included in the hotel rates (no need to visit the Tauern Spa elsewhere in town - which is great, albeit expensive). Wouldn't hesitate to return, hopefully soon :-)

The hotel rooms and bathroom are a good standard as you would expect for a 4 star superior. The spa and swimming pool lovely.

The areas of improvement: there was no kettle to prepare tea or Coffee.
Also no AC I don’t know in summer what will be the room temperature because we went in autumn so the weather started to be cold.

Make sure you book with half board. They have amazing chief in house, we stayed for four days and enjoy different dinner (buffet or dinner set) menu everyday. Will definitely come back here.

No real opinion on the hotel given I was unable to make this trip given flight cancellation and no available flights to rebook for several days. However, given hotel policy was unable to cancel booking at last minute so paid for my entire anyway. Hopefully travel insurance covers this one.

I spent two fabulous nights at Das Alpenhaus Kaprun. My room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the pool and the hills beyond. The pool and spa facilities were excellent, with nice touches of complimentary fruit and drinks, and I had a wonderful massage. Breakfast was great as well.
My only negative comment would be the strange hotel policy concerning room service...I saw that the additional charge to deliver food was 9 euros, which prevented me from ordering for dinner. But I was surprised to hear that that 9 euro charge applies to ANYTHING being delivered to a room, including a spoon! Very bizarre, but maybe that's a regional thing. Overall, I had a great stay and would love to come back in the winter!

Attractive Das Alpenhaus!
This hotel proved to be one of my best choices ever for a hotel during travels in Europe! The staff was so customer service oriented, friendly, and helpful. My room was spacious, had a nice view and balcony. The room had all the modern conveniences. It was totally worth the price. The hotel is in a central location in Kaprun, with so much in easy walking distance, including a supermarket just across the street. Breakfast was phenomenal with hot food, an assortment of breads, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, and more. Dinners were very good. There was paid garage parking, but just down the street you could park in a large lot for free, and everything about the area was safe. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Das Alpenhaus and Kaprun for a wonderful visit to the Austrian alps!

The spa is the gem of this property - beautifully finished, scrupulously clean, with a superb sauna. I really enjoyed spending time here.

Exceeded my expectations. Reception staff very helpful. Room could have been a touch bigger and would benefit from a bath, but generally clean, comfortable and good views. Noisy at night thanks to revellers in the street outside and also positioned at busy junction so lots of traffic noise from quite early on. Hotel gym way better than average, but could do with some free weights. Nice pools. Food pretty good.

Great Alpine hotel
Nice Alpine hotel well located in the centre of Kaprun within walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants. The Kitzsteinhorn for skiing is about 15 mins away by regular shuttle service. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and there is an Intersport rental shop connected to the lobby. Pretty much ticks all the boxes for a ski hotel.

Great hotel, great location in town centre. Pleasant staff, lovely big room (junior suite no316), fabulous breakfast until 11am even had sparkling wine. Spa with 2 pools (quite cold) Jacuzzi sauna etc. Good traditional Austrian food in restaurant. Wifi a bit of a pain as had to keep calling for password. TV had channel with video cams of ski area. Ski bus 50m away.

My Wife booked the hoteI for a birthday present so that I could enjoy a couple of days skiing on the glacier before the current season starts.. The hotel was immaculate and pristine throughout with on site spa facilities most welcoming after a hard days skiing. I suppose my only gripe about the hotel was the fact that they charged 10 euros per night for the privilege of using the hotel car park. As a paying guest I would have thought this would have been free.

This is true 5 star hotel！Every thing is great, from warm and very professional serice to the impressive breakfast, they did a fantastic job to make customer happy and satisfied. I thought the location might be difficult to stranger (like me) but it is so easy to find (bus stop 660 is 2 minutes away and 15 minutes from train station of Zell am see. the view from room is unbelievable. It is true relaxation place to stay. I recommend to every one!

Overall, the quality of hotel service was very good. The personnel behind the counter appeared young, so perhaps lack of experience is the reason for lack of general information provided about the hotel. For instance, no information was provided about the Spa facilities and I had to ask about breakfast and dinner. Also, since I didn't ask about Wifi access, I had to return to reception to request the access information. (Be sure to ask every question you can think of; they will not \"offer\" any information that would be helpful.) Service at breakfast and dinner was great and the food was delicious. I was very satisfied with the variety of food over the course of five nights. Another small complaint is that the hotel already had the \"winter weight\" bedding in place when the temperatures still reached 23-25 degrees during the day. Therefore, I kept getting very warm at night. There were no intermediary sheets, so I was in a constant state of being either too hot or too cold. The pillows were also too soft for me. Regarding the location of the hotel, it was perfect. There are nearby shops and restaurants and the information center is within a five minute walk.

Really surprised at how nice this hotel was. Modern, stylish, clean, tidy and most of all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with everything fresh and bags of choice. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, very clean. To top it off the hotel is slap bang in the middle of town. What more could you want!

Sehr schönes Hotel. Wir waren mit Unserem einjährigen Sohn dort. Es gab einen Whirlpool der ihn begeistert hat. Zu der Bushaltestelle sind es 4 Minuten zu Fuß. Ein Supermarkt ist 3 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Mit der Sommerkarte spart man sich enorm viel. Wir haben einen Klamm, Tierpark, Gondelfahrten, Schiffstour, Stauseen und Busfahrten alles für umsonst gemacht. Es wird richtig viel geboten. Es war eine schöne Zeit.

War ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in der Hotel Alpenhaus. Es waren alle stets freundlich und hilfsbereit vorallem als absoluter Skianfänger . Der Pool und Whirlpool sind ne schöne Entspannung nachdem Ski fahren . Essen war auch sehr lecker wir werden aufjedenfall wieder kommen.

Das Alpenhaus Kaprun ist ein schönes Hotel. Wir hatten jedoch ein Zimmer mit Fenster zur Tiefgarageneinfahrt. Wenn das Müllauto morgens um 7 den Glasmüll holt, steht man im Bett. Das Abendessen war gut, das Frühstück sehr abwechslungsreich und es gab sehr viel Auswahl. Das Servicepersonal war super zuvorkommend und sehr bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Nicht so schön empfanden wir, dass Gäste, wenn sie das Hotel betreten, nicht gegrüßt werden… das war etwas schade. Ebenso fanden wir es nicht so toll, dass keine kostenfreien Parkplätze angeboten werden. 12 Euro pro Tag sind schon mehr als heftig. Alles in allem hatten wir aber einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Alpenhaus Kaprun.

Wir haben 2 Nächte mit Halbpension im Hotel Alpenhaus verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Durchweg nettes Personal. Frühstück und Abendessen waren köstlich und abwechslungsreich. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und sauber. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Nur die Parkgarage ist sehr eng. Hier wird es mit großen Autos schon bei der Einfahrt krittich. Der Pool hat aus auch gut gefallen. Die komplette Anlage und das Hotel waren sehr gepflegt und sauber.

Absolut Top! Tolle Zimmer. Riesige Betten. Das Personal durch und durch sehr freundlich!!! Wirklich sauber und in unserem tollen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis waren auch noch ein 3-Gänge Abend Menü und ein üppiges Frühstücksbuffet mit Prosecco inklusive. Kinder haben ebenso ohne Aufpreis abweichend vom 3-Gänge-Menü eine große Auswahl. Tolle Umgebung mit vielen Freizeitmöglichkeiten für alle Altersklassen und Jahreszeiten.
