On time transfer to and from the airport, swift check in and out by Dran. Room was heavenly with a gorgeous view of the sea. The room was huge and spotlessly clean. We only ate at the Vietnamese restaurant and every meal was delicious. Jason in particular looked after us very well, although every member of staff was attentive! Breakfast in Gio was a sumptuous affair every morning.
We visited the gym and walked from end to end of the resort daily...
We hired a moped for the day to explore the north west coast and this was very easily arranged by the hotel with a 3rd party provider. Great to see other parts of the island.

If you're looking for an outdoor wooded area experience this is the place to stay. Also has many complimentary stuff there. Private beach area for the resort, multiple pools and restaurants. Everyone we met that worked there was really professional and nice. Spa was really awesome and relaxing. Thanks for the great experience Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort!

Awesome, secluded resort! If you’re looking to get away this is it! Still convenient to get a grab to other locations but I loved how remote it felt there. The staff were great and food was delicious. My only constructive feedback would be to better label the food for those of us with allergies- I have a crab allergy and had to translate that so the staff could understand and help guide me on what I shouldn’t eat.

Fantastic small boutique hotel with lovely staff. The food was great especially, the breakfast and dinner options. A huge thanks to Vinh, Thu (lady with glasses) for looking after us at the restaurant and the entertainment team for providing the kayaks, snorkel and badminton equipment. The spa was also wonderful. The yoga in the forest was also one of the best classes I’ve had at a hotel.

This hotel has hidden assets that could make it a world-class resort on Phu Quoc Island. With just one more step, it could become world-famous. Personally, I don't want anyone to know about it.
Cottage-type resort hotels are not uncommon in Phu Quoc, but a combination of a beachfront location on a small mountain with an infinity pool and rooms is rare.
Even when they are rare, the cottages are often modern, lacking authenticity and failing to appeal to Western or developed tourists.
I think this is a genuinely wonderful resort hotel where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise on the patio.
At the Green Bay Resort, we have an old-fashioned architectural style that I believe will satisfy tourists.
In addition, the spa and pool are very satisfactory. Combined with the fact that it is not crowded, it has a secluded resort feel.
The problems can be summarized as follows:

We had an amazing stay at Green Bay. The resort is beautiful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were exceptional, everyone was so helpful and friendly and made our stay a pleasure. Can’t say enough good things about staying at Green Bay. It has a quiet, relaxed vibe while still offering plenty to do. The rooms are luxurious and clean but not pretentious. The staff are all friendly and don’t try to sell you extras. The food quality is high end at a reasonable price. It’s far from the airport so get the shuttle. Better value that other hotels in Phu Quoc. Highly recommended! We will be returning.

Green Bay is absolutely fantastic. We had a beach front bungalow and it was even more beautiful than it looked in the pictures! The entire resort is immaculate. The spa treatments were superb. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they made me feel really special on my birthday. The pools are both stunning and there are lots of activities like kayaking, ball games, snorkling etc. The food is great. The eco-friendly elements are amazing. The wildlife is gorgeous - birds, butterflies, geckos, crabs. If I had one negative it's that there's nothing to do after 10pm - but if you just want to relax in a stunning setting that is so much more than your average resort, this is the place to do it.

We stayed in an ocean facing villa with an infinity pool. It was larger than I expected and you could do laps in the pool, when I was expecting more of a plunge pool. Amazing views and so peaceful. You can borrow snorkelling gear and kayaks from the beach kiosk and they are good fun to use in the sheltered bay.

I enjoyed the private stay at Green Bay Resort. Private beach, pools, activities, spa & massage and room are in high standard and my family were able to enjoy without inconvenience. Especially loved that all the bungalows are nature friendly. Super nice staffs and service during the stay. Not many bugs but some mosquitoes.

The property is large and they closed down the restaurant near our room. The weather was very hot (38-40 C) when we were there so it was a task to walk to the restaurant at the other end of the resort for food. They do have small carts to drive us around if needed.
The free breakfast was delicious and had plenty options for you to choose from, Western cuisine and Vietnamese cuisine. Their noodles never failed me. And they do try to change the menu a bit. However, you have to pay for lunch and dinner still and they are very expensive.

Positives: gracious welcoming staff. Manager Cindy made a special effort to connect with us several times over the course of our stay, lovely swimming pools, nice sandy beach, delicious food at the restaurants, we had an ocean-view villa with its own pool, an outdoor tub & an outdoor shower.
Negatives: ants in our room and twice in our bed. Ugh! We mentioned it to the staff after our first night but still had ants up to the last of our 5 night stay. I was surprised that the manager did nothing more than apologize and thank us for being so nice about it. This hotel is hugely overpriced and poorly managed. I booked an Ocean Pavilion With Private Pool, in hopes that it is what they advertise it is. Well, it's not: it's extremely noisy, there is no hot water, the service is terrible and the air is filled with toxic smoke from burning trash pits around the hotel. I deeply regret wasting so much money on this hotel that is so far from a 4-star luxury resort that is advertised.
On the hotel website they are selling 'peace and tranquility', it's nothing like that in reality. All of the ocean bungalows with private pools are located on the east side of the property. The problem is that right at the edge of the property there is a fishing village with a karaoke bar. The wailing starts as early as 1pm and doesn't end until well after midnight every day and each of those $500+ per night rooms are exposed to some local yelling and squealing for hours on end. It's so loud all those bungalows shake, it is impossible to be on the terrace. It's awful. Not one person at the reception understood English. The reception manager said that because the noise was coming from outside the hotel property there was nothing he would do, made a few sexist and misogynistic remarks and gestures trying to silence me. The wailing continued every single day, it never stops and the staff know it very well. We asked for a partial refund as we weren't able to use many of the amenities we paid for and were told they would get back to us. We never got the refund.

Absolutely beautiful! The resort truly feels like you are on a tropical island and not in a concrete jungle like so many of the other resorts. The free shuttle into town works well, but it’s just as easy to get a Grab or taxi. The beach and pools are beautiful to swim in or simply lie around… the only request would be some more mosquito repellent tools!!

5 Star Facilities, 3 Star Service
The facilities at Green Bay were as advertised and great, but the service was unfortunately underwhelming compared to similar quality resorts across Southeast Asia. Here were a few issues we had:
1. Subpar English: We had issues on numerous occasions trying to communicate with staff in English. While we don't expect the junior staff to be fluent, trouble communicating with the front desk made day-to-day tasks much more difficult.

They do have a free shuttle to take you to the city and we did use it. They will also pick you up. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but needed more training. Every day at the restaurants was an adventure. If you are looking for a place to relax it is great.

Staff was polite, but clear communication sometimes made problematic by our lack of Vietnamese and their command of English. The resort is beautiful but the service is terrible. The staff is clearly not trained. They have no idea what’s going on. They stand there bewildered. Simple tasks such as getting a drink menu, let alone a properly made cocktail, become very difficult and time consuming impacting the stay enough to not recommend it to a friend. The food quality is average at best. The pool was so dirty it had to be closed for half of our stay. The rooms are not sound proofed so we were woken up by our neighbors several times. Resort is under construction so expect noise. In short, would not recommend.

We had a great stay at Green Bay Phu Quoc. It was amazingly clean, quiet, peaceful and secluded with a nice beach and beautiful bungalows and facilities. And everything smelled SO GOOD there. It was a perfect place to rest, relax and get away. The food at both of the onsite restaurants was amazing as well, I had the glass noodles with crab three times because I loved it so much. I would definitely go back to Green Bay.

Stayed in a beachfront villa. Resort was beautiful, a big effort has gone into building the resort around the natural environment and it is really nice. Beach beautiful and clean and water was very calm for swimming. Free kayaks and bikes are also available for exploring. Also very nice infinity pool overlooking the private beach. Hotel also offers a small gym which is adequate for what you need. There is also free coffee, tea and cake by the pool at 3pm - definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful resort, really well designed & furnished, the staff were really helpful. It feels like you are in a secluded tropical paradise and the owner seems to have thought of everything in their designing of the resort. I would definitely stay here again. The only things I’ve marked down on are location, it’s quite far away from long beach but if you’re looking for a relaxing stay at the resort this isn’t a huge problem & food which could have been a bit better.

We wanted something different to the corporate Marriott esque experience and we were pleasantly surprised by the unique architecture, traditional but luxurious rooms that were so special. Our stay at Green Bay Phu Wuoc Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful. The setting of the resort is spectacular and the resort itself has everything you could possibly need to ensure you leave rested and relaxed, while the staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Also the redort’s northern location on the island meant we had beautiful sun filled days while the south of the island seemed to be caught up in rains. A perfect getaway - just wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a very relaxing weekend here. The resort grounds/facilities are clean and well-kept, and the beach has a very chill vibe (also clean). The staff are very friendly, but I did feel a little annoyed at the lack of service in ordering drinks by the beach/pool. Most times, we had to walk to the bar in the restaurant to order, which was not close to where we were sitting. But all-in-all, I'd definitely stay at this resort again.

Beautiful, comfortable and clean hotel with private beach. We got a free upgrade and the room is big and very clean with indoor and outdoor shower, outdoor bath tub and a balcony overlooking the little farm they have. The hotel has a little farm that grow eggplants, cucumbers and other vegetables. Breakfast was more like brunch with everything you can ask for. Fantastic pool for chilling out. Sand on the beach was white and soft, but the sea was a little rough at the time. Free kayak and bicycle but no suggested routes. Hotel staff are nice, especially restaurant staff Denis and Jenny. The spa is nice with sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and outdoor massage huts, very nice atmosphere. Gym's facilities good. Hotel and airport transfer service was great. You'll need to rent a scooter if you want to explore the area or just chill at the hotel.

Very beautiful new Bungalow rooms. The beach is nicer than it looks in the photos. Nice Landscaping although it still needs to grow in a bit. The place is quite new. The staff have been fairly friendly and the breakfast is excellent mix of foods. I would say the rooms have one very big flop / downfall. The big bathtub is completely pointless as their water heaters do not allow for there to be enough heat for the water to be even filled 1/4 of the way. Upon check-in they let us know this but they said you can fill it up by waiting halfway through. After spending over a half an hour I recognize I could only get a few inches. very frustrating I hope they fix this.

Really lovely setting and architecture. Small scale and quiet. Beautiful! The staff is kind and friendly. English is limited except for really friendly and helpful guest services manager, Murphy, who is Swiss. And service was rather slow. As some others have said, the resort is new and learning. The beautiful bathtub on the deck had only enough hot water for about 1/8th of its depth, for instance. And do not forget anything at all when you pack because there is no shop - not even a corner of a room to sell sunscreen - and town is a long way away! Massage, like many others in such resorts, was mediocre, at best. All was forgiven, though, when we were given a room to hang out in on our last day when our flight was several hours after checkout and weather was too wet for us to go sightseeing. We really, really appreciated that! Huge points for that! I would recommend the place, as I know they will continue to improve as they go along, and it really is gorgeous.
