Staff - They were so nice and welcoming especially the older guy at the front desk, he would always bow to greet us every time we came in which was so nice!
Property - The room itself saw nice just as described but the hallways felt so eerie in my opinion maybe needed more lighting
Breakfast - It was okay not good not bad. It was just scrambled eggs, sausages also some toast just the usual stuff, I mean for the price I was good
Room - Sorry but the sheets smelled like bleach, it wasn’t that pleasant to be honest. Bathroom was so nice and clean compared to a seoul downtown hotel.

Bedding and bathroom very clean. Staff also very kind and helped me find activities to do in the city.

However it's an older building and corners of the room and ceiling lights are very dusty, as if they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Also saw a cockroach climbing the wall of my room that I had to exterminate (and a dead one by the ceiling lights from which they seem to enter, since there's a hole).

Everybody there was very nice but the room was dusty and smelly. I guess that the room was not used frequently so that they haven’t cleaned recently. Probably because of the same reason, I could smell bad odor from dried sewage.

This hotel is very affordable. All the staff are very kind, and breakfast is included for free. Although the hotel is a bit old and the cleanliness and furniture are somewhat worn and not very clean, it's close to Sung Sim Dang and the transportation is quite convenient, which was nice.

The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoke facility. There was hair in the tub, the garbage also wasnt emptied and the fridge was filthy. Not worth you money.

This is a very old property in an area of town that is also on the decline. They have tried to update it but overall the lobby was dark, dingy and the carpets stained and dirty. Staff was sullen. The room was big but the bed was rock hard and there were wooden shutters that seemed to be falling off. The bathroom was OK with a big tub and shower combo, with no shower curtain. Breakfast was very limited but OK for the price. I will not be returning.

I upgraded to the suite because the pictures show a great jetted tub. Unfortunately the jets did not work. The layout of the suite was very strange and the standing shower was missing the raindrop shower head. Literally, there was a pipe with no end at the top of the shower. The amentities were lacking. For example, they only provided lotions for men, but not for women. Our queen sized bed also felt like it only had the box spring and no mattress. It was rock hard and very uncomfortable. Breakfast was lacking as described by others. This hotel is not representative of Korean hospitality. We will not be coming back to this property chain and would not recommend this property to others.

Convenient and simple, I have stayed here on two occasions to hike in the surrounding mountains. It is a quiet hotel close to Daejeon station and the metro, making the important areas very accessible. The service is considerate and reliable.

I stayed here for my first trip to Daejeon (I live in Seoul), primarily for hiking the surrounding areas. It is convenient to Daejeon station and the Jungang-ro underground shopping center, and the many buses stops surrounding Jungang-ro station. The hotel was very clean and organized, with a remote control for the lights. The in room amenities were quite good, with the water re-stocked in the fridge after housekeeping cleaned the room. The only negative for me was the lack of electric outlets for charging phones or computers. Breakfast is available from 7-9am on the first floor. Overall, I was satisfied with the room- it suited my purposes during my stay.

Close by there is a very good are to go shopping and eating. It is also close to public transportation, including the intercity bus station. The room was ok and clean. I entered by the parking entrance that is correct but small. If you go around you get to the main entrance. It is a very convenient hotel.

Only affordable for short stay with very limited budget. If you need to stay in Daejeon under heavy budget control, this is an affordable choice for your business trip. but if not the case, never recommended. rather than this place, Korean Dry Sauna is a better place to sleep. The room of this hotel even doesn't have a chair in front of PC. How can I use that PC without chair?

The place was nice except for that air ventilation wasn't capable of supplying fresh air from nearby smoking rooms, and the parking manager was assuming you are not staying at the hotel and was trying to charge a parking fee until we got to the front desk.

Its location, close to major facilities- shopping, banks, restaurants, hospital, subway, railroad station, Olympic size swimming pool, etc. Especially I like the idea that you hop on KTX at Inchon International Airport to Daejon railroad station! The hotel is within walking distance, or with minimum fare by taxi.

It's location, on a back ally behind major traffic arteries makes the hotel very quiet.

Hotel staffs are courteous and very responsive, adding my stay more pleasant

It is good experience staying with benikea hotel. The staff are nice and friendly. The room is okay but comfortable. I love the location, it is near downtown so it is very lively. A lot of market to see around and can be reach by walk. The minus point just the breakfast. I don't really impressive with the breakfast menu, it is same everyday with no option. Toast, sausage and egg.

Not the most pleasant experience

Ok location, but the room was in poor condition - dirty carpets, filthy fridge, the glass shower door looked as though it had been the subject of a botched repair (and appeared close to falling off) and the towels (changed daily) were all impregnated with the smell of cigarette smoke. The room was just about tolerable for the low price paid, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel (unless you're on a budget and are prepared to drip dry after a shower).

The hotel is totally outdated. Good things: lots of restaurants nearby and the staffs were very friendly, but there is only one attendant per shift. In the morning the staff also works in the breakfast room, which means that you can't get any response when you dial frontdesk

For the price, you are better off staying at a newer motel. I will never stay there again.

We stayed in the most basic room. It was well worth the money (around 50 000 won per night for 3 people). The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausages, toast and soup was included. Hotel is very close to the metro line and bus routes. I would happily stay there again.

I have stayed in a Benikea before in Busan and it was clean and fairly near Gwangali Beach. This Benikea had a nice lobby, but once I got to my floor it was dark (this happens in a lot of hotels in this country apparently). The room was ok and had the necessary items needed. It was just not on the clean side. The previous person's beer and orange peels were left in the garbage by the bed, so that was a sign. The sheets had been washed, but for some reason there was stuff on the bed...fingernail or toenail clippings (either way, pretty disgusting) and just assorted dirt. I did not bother complaining as it was after midnight when I noticed all of this. I was a little on the cold side the first night. I did turn up the ondol, but I suspect the management actually controls the temp. The second day was a bit better. I did not pay a lot, but I would also probably not go back to this hotel. The options were fairly limited in Daejeon, but as it stands, I'd rather just stay at a love movel than this one again. The location was convenient as it was close to a train station. It was also close to a good Mexican restaurant and fantastic Korean bakery.

주차장 출입구가 골목이라 조심스럽게 다녔구요. 숙소내부는 오래됐지만 깨끗했어요. 오래된곳에서 묵으면 밤에 추운데, 여기는 괜찮았어요. 다만 6층에서 묵어서 그런지 수압이 약하고, 물이 더 따뜻했으면 좋겠다라는 아쉬움이 있었습니다. 무료로 조식이용할수 있었는데 이용은 하지 않았습니다. 나무로 덧창이 대어져 있는데 햇빛차단이 잘되서 푹 잤습니다.

대전역 및 성심당과 접근성 좋은 가성비 훌륭한 호텔입니다. 리노베이션 시점은 모르겠지만 무엇보다 욕실이 깨끗하고 티비가 컸습니다. 방충망이 없는 것은 여름엔 당황스러웠지만 잘관리된 시스템에어컨이 있으니까요. 성심당 걸어서 10분이라 오픈런 하고 사온 빵과 무료제공 커피를 함께 잘 먹을 수 있었습니다. 물론 모든 숙박객에게 무료제공되는 조식 쫌더 먹었습니다. 스크램블에그와 소세지 우유 쥬스 토스트 스프 바나나 등이 있었습니다. 퇴실 12시도 메리트가 있어보입니다. 침대 머리맡에 콘센트가 없는것이 단 하나의 흠입니다. 수면시 강제 디지털디톡스하게됩니다.
