It is a wonderful place to stay at least 3 nights and enjoy the great places to visit in Bohol and the Loboc River next to the Loboc River Resort. The staff is outstanding in happy their energy. Being a river resort it is a little rustic which makes the place very special but there will be issues like water leaks, a malfunctioning safe and one morning we had no hot water but those problems were promptly resolved by their maintenance almost immediately after reporting the issues. I’m sure it is quite a struggle to keep a place like that next to the river clean and operational. The breakfast buffet included was also very good. I highly recommend the Loboc River Resort. We stayed 3 nights in early January 2025. No mosquitos or snakes but lots of small lizards which give authenticity to the resort.

Very enjoyable stay. I was greeted every time walking up to the front desk. Amazing hospitality at the resort. Monkey and duck feeding was very fun. The resort has a great restaurant on site serving a lot of options including Vegan options. They offer ride service to multiple attractions near by including Zipline, Dinner buffet boat ride, chocolate hills observation deck, chocolate hills, tarsier sanctuary and more. I will definitely visit again this place checked every box for a fun vacation or just a quick getaway. Thanks Loboc river resort and staff it was amazing to stay with everyone.

A fabulous place to relax

We had a fabulous time at LRR. The staff are incredibly sweet and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Housekeeping decorated our room for my partner’s birthday and it was amazing. The rooms are spotless as is the pool area and hotel generally. The excursions offered by the hotel are also very good including the private river cruise and the fire fly tour. The restaurant staff are also great, stick to local dishes and you can’t go wrong.

Loved every moment at LRR. Our 3 full days was a highlight of our trip, and recommend it to anyone in the area. You will not be disappointed. Our room #6 was super convenient to the 2nd pool, with less walking, and was extremely quiet, while enjoying the river view. Hope you like roosters 😂

This a rustic slightly dated property. The front desk staff is outstanding. The rooms are not bad for a jungle type resort. It had fast laundry service with was awesome. Food and drinks were decently priced but behind the bar was dirty. The major downside to this property is its location to everything. If you don't leave for a tour there is no where to go. I would stay again if I wanted nothing to do otherwise Id stay elsewhere.

This is a little piece of paradise. Our riverfront room was huge and very well equipped. The staff here are the nicest people ever. So, so friendly and fun, we danced with them all on Christmas eve and had the best Christmas ever. The pools are beautiful, especially the premium one and there are lots of activities from the hotel or nearby. We both have very happy memories of our stay. Only negative is that there can be noise from across the river but this may have been due to the time of year.

The property has a unique setting being directly next to the river. There are a lot of activities that can be arranged at the front desk that makes it very convenient (both on the property or an excursion somewhere around Bohol).You are kind of limited to the hotel restaurant but they made great food with a lot of selections. We did not get tired of it. Great place for families.

Excellent resort nestled in lush jungle on the Loboc river. All rooms & restaurant are raised so as not to disturb the surrounding jungle.
All staff were kind & helpful. A shirt was lost by the laundry team, but promptly found & returned to me.
The menu in the restaurant is extensive & reasonably priced. Breakfast was delicious.

Loved the location and river view. Room cld do with an uplift…very tired interior. A suggestion- cld provide some mosquito coils so sitting out on the balcony wld be more comfortable. We were woken up on the first night by loud animal scrambling sounds… thought they were monkeys but realised they were rats running above our room ceiling… eeks! Must keep all doors and windows closed.

This Hotel is Beautiful. 2 gorgeous pools surrounded by forest with the river running through the background like something out of a romantic movie. The rooms was awesome, really enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking past the trees at the river. Food was amazing. Paddle boarding was incredible. I even jumped off my paddle board and swam in the river for a bit and really enjoyed it. Definitely coming back I promise…

A Joyful Experience

My cousin and I stayed at Loboc River Resort for 6 days to visit a friend in Bohol. It was a change from the resorts by the beach. Loboc River was peaceful, quiet and surrounded by nature. Each room was in a cottage instead of in a large building. To get to the cottages there were boardwalks to walk on. The room was big, beautiful and came with a patio to nature. It also had a television, vault and comfortable beds. Outside were 2 swimming pool areas. One night was high-tide and it was extremely exciting to walk on the boardwalks with water passing underneath.

One thing I enjoyed a lot was the restaurant. It sat by the river and had an elegant and very peaceful atmosphere. We always felt very happy after every meal. They had a great chef. The chefs prepared vegetable oragami for us every meal. I always invited our visitors to eat with us here and it was a huge plus to not have to stress about what restaurant to go to. The prices were good. Breakfast is free and always filled us up.

The hotel had a lot of activities for guests from watching wild monkeys get fed, massages to paddle boarding and kayaking. One of the things we tried was the paddle boarding and we all had so much fun. We jumped off and swam in Loboc River which was an experience and also dived off a tree. The resort was large and had areas to walk around and explore. Places for meditation and fishes to see.

Staff were extremely friendly and took pride in their resort. To me it was a jewel in the community.

The property was great. Very Rustic, and it felt like I was pretty much away from civilization, which is what I wanted. I enjoyed pretty much everything about the place. The only thing I can complain about is that there was no refrigerator in the room, but then again, I really didn't need one. The staff was excellent, and they had free tours of the facility and of the wildlife In area. I highly recommend the Loboc River Resort.

Amazing stay!

Amazing stay, the hotel complex is small, with cute bungalows over the water. The rooms are not very modern, but still nice with a wonderful view of the river.

The service of the hotel, as well as it's reasonable pricing was great. We paid fair prices for tours, vans, and especially the food. We did the fireflies private tour which was amazing.

The food was so good. Everything you could wish for: filipino food, western food, smoothies, coconut, ... and very good prices. The breakfast was great too, but you have to choose items from a menu which makes it a bit limiting - e.g. you can choose one beverage, so you need to decide between coffee and juice for example. So we asked them quite many changes, but they were happy to adapt it for us.

The staff was very nice and fast :)

Internet strength was so so.

We loved our stay and would come again!

I booked a room good for 3pax but when I arrived I was charged P1000 for the additional person. It was already late when we arrived so we had no choice but to pay and stay at the hotel. Breakfast is good with generous portion, you have to pay P70 for brewed coffee cause they only have instant coffee. The room is just right but a bit old, the location is good if you will do a countryside tour,but if you are going to Panglao beach this is too far, you will need a car to get around from here. Overall it was fine.

What an amazing hotel. The hotel is right beside the Loboc River with a bamboo walkway to the room. The room was comfortable and spacious with a balcony with a wonderful view. The staff was super nice and treated everyone with care. Wifi was fast and reliable. The restaurant food was incredible, the best I have had in the Philippines. The hotel assisted us with transportation too. We are coming back next year because of Loboc River Resort.

The property looks really good, however, there was a lot of bug outside and inside my room. We saw a colony of ants inside the rooms, as well as one of the bed, had a lot of flying ants. Even inside the bathroom there were mosquitoes and flies.

The property was great. They have a great breakfast and the pool is amazing. The rooms are outdated and not in good shape. There were termites that were falling down from the roof onto the bed in our room. We had to be moved to two different rooms within a 4 night stay. The showers were also horrible due to lack of water pressure.

The property location is great with a great breakfast and pool. If they update the rooms, this property would be perfect but as for now it needs a lot of work.

This is a beautiful place to stay, the nature is literally on your doorstep. The restaurant is amazing with delicious food and professional staff. The organized programs seemed a bit pricey, but you can rent a motorbike and everything is in close proximity and the ride is fantastic. The reception was quite busy sometime, but they did everything they could.

Very nice resort by the Loboc river your own bungalow big swimming pool with bar & restaurant good food. Friendly staff, quiet and peaceful. They will arrange car & driver or motorbike for rent to visit anywhere in Bohol. Staff will ask you if you would like to join a group tour to see fireflies on a boat down the river at 6:30 or 8:00pm. I recommend you do it's worth it!. The Loboc cable & zip line and river cruise is very near this resort.

We enjoyed a lot our stay, the pool is really nice with river view. It’s a very quiet place. The restaurant was good, I loved the pancit Canton. We did the fireflies tour but not enjoyed too much..in Puerto Princesa is better.. we also did their free tour to feed the monkeys but we were expecting more..we would rather do paddle but they don’t explain very well.. anyway we’ve rented a motorbike with them for next day and went to see the chocolate hills and the tarsiers.. was very good and not too far.

We loved this place, and would definitely go back. If you dislike nature, it's not the place for you. However, for us, the natural surroundings of this resort were simply lovely, and quite inspirational. Waking up in the morning to enjoy the view of the Loboc River, enjoying a tasty breakfast at the resort's restaurant, and then swimming at the beautiful pool. Perfect! We stayed at 7 different hotels while in the Philippines. This was our favorite.

Beautiful resort right in the heart of nature, very clean, staff couldn’t be more accommodating. The pool is beautiful and the food is gorgeous with the view from the restaurant over the river it is so special. It is a little remote so we hired mopeds which the resort arranged. Everything is reasonably priced, great place to stay to be based to see the chocolate hills, tarsier monkeys, river boat trips etc I was sad to leave

Nice hotel, check in was fairly smooth although Hotel considered my 11 yr old as an adult and wanted to charge us for a mattress, but when we booked through Expedia, a drop down menu considered my 11 yr old as a child. I had originally booked a room for 3 adults without a problem. The staff was willing to change my 11 yr old’s age as 9 yrs old on paper but that they would not honor Expedia’s free breakfast deal for child as booked. So I finally agreed to paying 770 pesos for an extra mattress which then allowed her to have free breakfast included. Discrepancy with expedia’s Drop down menu indicating child ages are between 1-17, but some hotels consider them as adults, so beware of extra hotel charges due to this reason.

Fantastic experience on the river. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the day river cruise, the night firefly tour (amazing!!), the island tour organized by the hotel. The pool is very nice, there are quite few animals around for the joy of the kids (including 2 buffalo / my 9 years old could ride one of them for a while). The food at the restaurant is good, with a selection of local and international dishes, much better than in many other places we have been in the Philippines. The rooms with the river view are definitively better than the other ones. The staff is very kind and helpful. The furniture is basic and a bit dated, but the room is clean and the view is great! We spent there 2 nights, but I would have liked to stay 1 or 2 nights more.

This was my second visit to this resort. It is so relaxing there if you choose river view room. The atmosphere of the open air restaurant is about the best I have ever experienced. I hope the new restaurant they are building, keeps that open air feeling. Staff as always are some of the most friendliest and helpfull people I have dealt with. Wifi could use some upgrade and the rooms smell a bit musty. Dehumidifier would be great. But overall I think anyone looking for peaceful or romantic getaway in Bohol should choose this hotel.

A hidden Gem of a resort!!

You won't find a better place in a better location in Loboc, close to everything you want to see there - Chocolate Hills, zip line, riverboat cruise, tartiers, etc.
The service is 5 star! The restaurant food is excellent and cheap, waiters will remember where you sit and reserve that spot for you.

Amazing Resort

Besides the seclusion and amazing scenery of the resort (located right in front of the beautiful loboc river), the staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to accommodate you. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 6:30AM but we had to leave at 5:30AM for dolphin watching. They still prepared us sandwich and fruits and water for the early morning trip. They are awesome.

Favourite place in Phili - Just magical

Absolutely adored this resort from the moment we arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and very attentive. Our room was stunning - log bungalows accessible via wooden rope bridges. The whole setting is gorgeous. The river-view from the rooms was stunning. The restaurant is lovely and clean and the food (especially the home-made cookies) is delicious. We booked on to the fireflies evening tour through reception - a bangka per couple. I could not recommend this enough - it was one of my favourite memories of the holiday. We left at 6.30pm for a 45 minute boat ride. The fireflies lit up the trees like fairy lights and the stars......just wow. I cannot describe how special and romantic this was. Unfortunately we didn't have time to have a massage but I would recommend this; the price they charge is one of the cheapest. My only negative comments relate to the Manager on reception - we were told when we checked in that we were booked on to the firefly tour and to come back later to pay. When we went back later, they had cancelled our booking. After complaining, our original request was honoured. I would encourage guests to pay up-front as they operate a first come first served policy, and get a receipt. We booked our travel to Tagbilaran via the same lady and we asked and paid for a mini-van. Unfortunately a car arrived and we had to cram in for a two hour ride. Having said that, this was my favourite place and I just hope the Management can tweak their service

Hands down, the best hotel staff!

Staff was wonderful! Great room service, always quick to lend a hand! Probably the best staff you'll find anywhere on Bohol Island!

Loved the fireflies you could see at night just sitting by the pool. Monkey feeding was fun and the fishing outstanding.

Only thing this hotel could do to improve is to ramp up the WIFI.

Staff really make this a place you wont forget. Ask for ice, and a bucket is at your door in less than 5 min!

There is so much to do and see close by...don't make the mistake we did and only stay for 2-nights!

Awesome jungle experience.

I can't rate this experience highly enough. Absolutely awesome. So peaceful and relaxing. Fabulous food cooked to perfection at great prices.

A really remote location, next to the Loboc river almost jungle like. But don't worry about getting about as transport was a varied mix of motorcycle ( driver by yourself ) - taxi motorbike - motorbike with side car ( which we hired loads ) or a car and driver if you opt for a more relaxed option. Plenty of trips and tours available to most of the awesome sites and experiences that Bohol has to offer.

Resort staff great and very friendly. Happy to help with even the smallest of details.

Don't expect city luxury ..... Remember that your staying in the jungle practically. Expect the usual bugs and occasional wild life associated with that. Loved it !!!!

Friendly and fantastic service

This is a well organised and professionally run place. The staff here all addressed us by names within one day and made us feel very welcome. Always very courteous and very helpful with organising day trips. Quality of service on par with resorts I have stayed in the Philippines 3 times the price. A quiet and peaceful spot with nice rooms on the river. Just be prepaired for a few harmless bugs around the place so bring some insect repellent.

We stayed here from 11-Aug to 13-Aug. They provided an airport transfer for Php600 (car) Php400 (tricycle). If you have luggage, choose their car for safety purposes and space constraint. Do not book from their tour packages as it's expensive. Look for other tour services in Bohol. Their in-house restaurant is so good at reasonable prices. We also had a few drinks in their hotel and a little chitchat with other guests. The pool's water is warm and there's a mini pool suitable for kids. The shower heater in our room only worked on the first day. I'm not sure if it's deliberately turned off by the hotel or it's really not working. :-/

“Enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it”

We really enjoyed our stay in Loboc River Resort. Staff was amazing, helpful, very kind and friendly. Food at the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, the complimentary breakfast was good as well! The resort itself is really really lovely, nice energy, good amemntities. We even got to meet the owner and loved having a chat with her. We would also like to specifically point out Joy; she worked at the from desk most of our stay and was incredibly helpful and nice. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had all three types of rooms and they were all good, each is great value for the price you pay. Most certainly pick Loboc over Panglao, you'll love it here! Oh and do try the kayaking on the river, and taking a stroll up to the Loboc tourism complex (where the floating restaurants are located). We met a few locals by the river - all so friendly! Another tip is go for the local eateries when not eating at the resort as that is where locals hang around and you will not meet other tourists. It gives you a one of a kind insight into the life of an average filipino. Most locals will love to chat with you. Staying in Loboc was a great experience!!

Nice hotel right next to the river

From the moment we landed at the airport, to check in, to feeding the chickens and monkeys, fishing, while dining, during the tour up until the time we checked out, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall a great experience.

Stayed here for one night with a couple of friends. The staff were very accommodating with little touches and genuine concern that made our stay very memorable. Staff, food, and a willingness to go the extra mile were the highlights. Only mark against them was the toilet being a little bit unpleasant in terms of its smell after flushing but we didn't complain so the staff didn't get a chance to correct this.

Overall an excellent place to stay and very much worth the price.

Fantastic location right on the peaceful river. Made a pleasant change from the beach but yet still had the tranquility of being beside water. Very friendly and helpful staff and would highly recommend the resort for solos, couples and family's.
