Good service; mixed review

The front desk was extremely helpful to us...we were having problems with our phone's gps in finland. They did all they could to help us adjust.

My one reservation is that this hotel does not allow guests to use the HDMI connection to watch their own programming (the only Scandic that did this) and offer no explanation. Also, although there is plenty of light weight English speaking programming, there is no English speaking NEWS. No explanation offered. Good restaurant on premises. Good location for train.

Neat and tidy but with that “nursing home feeling”

Renovated some time ago, the architecture of the hotel still reminded me of a nursing home or something like that. Everything was near and tidy, however, so no complaints whatsoever.

Due to COVID-19, the hotel had made a healthy and tasteful breakfast available in a take-away bag, which was good time-saver and got us on the road faster.

Brilliant location both for the railway station and the sights. The standard rooms are on the smaller side but otherwise no complaints at all. The swimming pool was exactly the right temperature - not like a bath! Great choice at breakfast even though the hotel was very quiet because of the Coronavirus.

Winter road trip

We arrived to hotel late after long drive. First we got wrong info about parking but then they solved that too. Room was basic, but nice one, good condition and bed was comfortable. Hotel restaurant was expensive and nothing special not recommended if your can go somewhere else. Service on restaurant wasn’t that good either, would be good speak English if on table is different language speakers, and English is language what they speaks together. But breakfast was good on restaurant but not for lunch or for dinner.

Everything was really nice. I had a single room with queen bed and it was clean and comfortable. The location of this hotel is perfect; just a few minutes' walk to the city centre. Great breakfast, too! I didn't use some of the facilities like the sauna and pool, but they were there if I'd felt so inclined.

Good hotel in a great location

The hotel was conveniently located near the city centre. It was handy to have a parking house in the same building. The room was fine and the beds were comfortable. A few tweaks would be good though: it would have been nice to have a kettle for tea/coffe and the bin in a bathroom was broken and it was odd that the cleaners hadn't spotted it. Breakfast was great and overall it was a great stay.

Rummet var under all kritik. Otroligt varmt speciellt på toaletten där det inte gick att stänga av golvvärmen( behövs väl ändå inte på sommaren!). Luktade dessutom avlopp

Sängen var otroligt smal, knappt dubbelsäng. Endast 1 sängbord.
Ingen cromecast eller smart-tv.
Trångt mellan vägg o fotände av säng och väldigt märkligt med en helkroppspegel vid fotändan av sängen
Bodde där 3 nätter o det enda som gjordes var att de tömde papperskorgen en gång.

Hotelli oli kaikinpuolin kiva, aamiainen hyvä ja palvelu hyvää.. pidimme paljon! Rakennus itsessään on jo kulahtanut ulkopuolelta ja sisäpuoleltakin osittain mutta huone oli uusittu, siisti, kiva ja palvelu pelasi😊 Aamiaisesta pidimme, oli riittävän monipuolinen. Hotelli Hyvällä paikalla Oulun keskustassa.
Ainut miinus oli että suihkussa vesi tuli huonolla paineella muuten kaikki ok!

Ihan ookoo kokemus

Yövyin hotellissa kaksi yötä ystävieni kanssa. Vastaanottovirkailijat osasivat asiansa ja olivat ystävällisiä, siinä ei moitittavaa. Hotellissa oli siistiä ja aamiainen oli erinomainen. Huonoa oli että miesten sauna oli remontissa (ja uima-allas pois käytöstä) molempina päivinä, eikä miesporukastamme kukaan päässyt saunomaan eikä uimaan, mitä olisi haluttu. Olin myös toisena yönä tilannut huoneen minulle ja kaverilleni, jossa erilliset sängyt, mutta parisänky siellä oli odottamassa. Toisena yönä oli sentään erilliset sängyt. Voisin kuitenkin tulla uudelleen tähän hotelliin.

Ihan kiva hotelli. Edullinen. Alakerran uima-allas tuo plussaa vaikka vesi voisikin olla aavistuksen lämpimämpää ja sauna saisi olla aamuisinkin päällä. Siisteydessä voisi olla hieman parantamisen varaa. Äänieristykset aivan olemattomat, käytävän ja muiden huoneiden äänet kuuluvat todella selvästi. Aamupala keskiverto. Ei Oulun parhaimmistoa, mutta ihan kiva.

Käväisimme hotellissa nukkumassa ja valitsimme edullisimman ketjuhotellin. Ero hieman kalliimpaan vaihtoehtoon, joissa yleensä yövymme, oli yllättävän suuri. Hotellin ikä näkyi vähän joka puolella. Aamiainen oli tässä yöpymisessä parasta ja vastaanoton ystävällinen palvelu nosti viipymän tasoa.

Parkkeeraus mahdollisuus onneton. Auto paikat täytetty miten sattuu. Yöllä oli jollakin koiralla asiat huonosti ja räkytti. Aamupala oli ihan hyvä. Mutta ihmisten käyttäytyminen ruokaa hakiessa oli kyllä pettymys. Aikuiset ihmiset etuili kiilasi jonon ohi.

Oikein hyvä hotelli. Hyvä sijainti, mukava henkilökunta ja siisti. Huone on hyvä. Ainoa parannettava asia on huoneen televisio. Televisio on vanha, kuvan laatu heikko, sekä ei mahdollisuutta streamata omilta laitteilta sisältöä.

Matka opiskelupaikkakunnalle ja kaupunkiin missä tapasimme. Sukulaisia ei lähellä, joten arvoimme hotellin keskustasta. Neljä päivää kaupungilla ja vain kolme yötä hotellilla.
- vuoteet minulle heikkoselkäiselle pehmeitä
- ulkona kova pakkanen, mutta peitot ja huone hieman turhan lämpimmiä
- aamupalalla munakokkelin, nakkien ja lihapullien lisäksi kasvispohjainen valikoima
- tarjonta hajautettu useisiin pisteisiin, jonka vuoksi ei ollut juuri ruuhkaa, mutta ensi kertalaisena meni aikaa hakemiseen
- hotelli oli vuoden vaihteen läheisyyden vuoksi varsin täysi, jolloin myös autojen parkkipaikat olivat varattuja ja kesti yli puoli tuntia löytää rako, mihin meidän auto mahtui (yhtenä iltana)
- parkkiruudut muutenkin liian pieniä
- 4 kerroksen huone oli hiljainen, ja näkymä naapuritalon katon yli kohti kirkkoa antoi hyvän kuvan täysikuun kanssa
