Our experience was very pleasant. Room was very clean and the Bosphorus view was breathtaking. Staff were nice and helpful. The hotel only accepts married couples. They also offer a prayer mat at the room. They have a prayer room too. Unfortunately the hotel’s indoor Restaurant is gloomy though.

room was ok, location is great and staff was always friendly. What I did not like was the following; hotel description clearly states free self parking however there is no parking lot instead, they rented a small pocket from the city and although it could have been ok, parking there and getting out has proven to be unsafe and problematic because it is on a single lane road where you block the traffic and people drive fast there, futhermore you first need to alert the valet because there are locked metal poles which they need to unlock when you come in and get out. It is just too much hassle for self parking. Second problem is that the hotel sent me a message after booking and stated that I am not supposed to bring a partner to the hotel unless I can present a wedding certificate, I mean this is just not acceptable, what century are we at? and Why is this communicated after the booking via private messaging. I traveled alone for business but still did not like the policy. Last but not least, as I was checking out, the power was off because rain came in the building, there was a big pool of water from the roof right to the reception so clearly they have some improvement to do.

Needs maintenance
The phones were not working both by bedside or bathroom and the safe was displaying a LowBattery message. The hallways have a fragrance infuser that is a little too heavy. Beds are very comfortable and amenities are over the top, they included everything you can think about, down to hair comb, wash cloth with scrubber, shaving cream and razor, sleepers and toothbrush/toothpaste. That is something totally commendable, good job!

This is a fantastic location on the Bosphorus with stunning views. The rooms are spacious and very nicely furnished. One gets the feeling of staying at a seaside mansion. Alcohol is not served at this property. For its own reasons, the hotel only accepts married couples. The area has many dining options, including some of the best seafood.

BUT here is the story i have to share with people like ourselves , who really pays attention to others opinions and internet reviews . I have booked the room by my friends recommendations. As soon as i have completed booking , have received and email stating that \" unmarried couples are prohibited to stay in the Hotel , thanks for your understanding. \" . Let's say you don't have your marriage certificate with you on your trip , if you look young enough to be just ordinary couples , even by PAYING THE FULL AMOUNT THROUGH EXPEDIA , they might say you cannot stay in the hotel. When i tried to reach the Hotel management , they said it's an automatic reply goes to everyone as soon as the reservation is completed. Even though we are married over 20 years it really bothered me . We are in 21st century and who cares about your legal status as long as you go pay the amount and go by the rules and don't bother anyone. My point is , it's a great hotel with very friendly staff BUT the management's mentality is from middle age era. Whoever decides to stay there just be aware that's all!!

I had a very nice stay at Tarabya, yet the check out experience was very bad.

They mandatorily took my car for valet parking when I arrived for the night. The next morning, they crashed my car in front of my eyes while hotel driver was pulling my car from the parking spot. I learned that the licensed valet driver was sent for to an airport pick-up and they had their waiter from their restaurant to drive and pull the parked cars for that time period. The waiter literally didn't know how to drive. He stopped my car 2-3 times on the street.
The hotel manager funnily offered me to pay $30-$60 to fix my car or asked me to leave the car at their place and they’ll get it fixed. My bumper and front right-light had deep scratches, bumper offset from the body that I need to take my car to a body shop. On top of this incident, they charged me $55.06 for the extra bed they brought to my room for my 14 y.o. son even after I paid $429.98 for the room for two nights. Their rooms are very small. Breakfast is not free and overcharged compared to restaurants around. I don’t recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

There is no parking place. You have to leave your car to a valet for parking. He parked my car under a tree. Some resin dropped on my car from this tree. I have to wash several times to clean remnants of this resin.

The hotel has a boutique hotel feeling to it, its a bit small with limited numbers of room, but even though, I really enjoyed my stay, fast check in, helpfull bellboy, professional vale, kind staff, clean room, and to add to all this its located beach front where a walk on the beach is always possible.. The hotel was able to provide for all my needs except for the late check out which I was told is not possible cause they are fully booked and have limited rooms..( understandable ).. additionally, the hotel’s price range was acceptable in comparison to other hotels nearby, parking was free aswell.. so overall I enjoyed my stay and hope to come back and visit soon. Thank you.

I have explored many parts of Istanbul, and this is one of my best locations. This wonderful hotel is right on the Bosphorous, only without all the crowds of the 'other areas'. Lovely location for walks along the Bosphorous, and exploring surrounding areas like Belgrad forest, Emirgan park, Rumeli feneri etc.You can also reach all other parts of Istanbul with relative ease as the public transport is great (buses, boats, dolmus and metro). Staff and services at the hotel are as good as any top end hotel in Istanbul, with the added local feel of friendliness as the hotel is not too large. We paid for the special deluxe room overlooking the Bosphorous - worth it for the views and atmosphere. Food at the hotel is very good, and there is a large choice of other options in the surrounding areas. We will definitely consider another visit to this area/part of Istanbul. Tesekkur ederim to all the lovely friendly staff.

I was here for 3 nights in May. The room was comfortable with all the amenities I needed (comfortable bed and a hot shower) and had a lovely view across the strait to the 3rd Bridge. On one morning I was lucky enough to see a pod of Dolphins / Porpoise passing by. There must have been several hundred!
All staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was fine for me.
All in all, a very pleasant stay and I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.
