Only one small thing we were at the front and could hear the traffic up till about midnight the road was busy. When we stay again we will ask fir a room away from the road

OK for overnight stay. Decor is very dated and the outside view from our rook was towards a garage with a hole in the door. Bathroom was clean but old fittings and a shower box with a very thin curtain which we did not try. Very poor reception on the TV ran from a sat box which kept on breaking up.The heat pump came on during the night making the room so hot it woke us up and we were tempted to leave. No sign of the proprietor in the morning as we looked for some where to leave the key.

Basic 3 star motel. Reasonably clean and pretty quiet but not flash. Kitchenette available. Pillows were not comfortable and there were no spares but the mattress was okay. The room could do with a bit of a makeover to smarten up some things like the missing curtain hooks and the sluggish plumbing.

hi was annoyed that when I booked on my phone thru expedia it was $175 when I got to the motel she said it was $219. We had three groups with us we had the least amount of people and we paid the most.
She was lovely and accommodating but I was not happy with the charge, She said I needed to take this up with expedia. The motel was very dated and old and wasnt worth the price.
I have just toured around the south island and had never paid that amount for one night

Clean however expensive for what it is.

Lovely greeting from Lasy at reception. Having spent the same amount the night before in another town - it was a disappointment in regards to the setting of the room, the covered old furniture ,ants on the bench , used milk container half filled with milk and half a water bottle on the table was an extra surprise. Safety standards also left something to be desired - broken spade in the unkept garden , used gloves in part of a fence Just looked messy all around.
Would say even though one room unit was not flash- it was clean.

Nice comfortable hotel - Friendly owners

Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, which was very clean,and had any amenities you'd need. Owner was very friendly checking in on us, and offering to provide anything to make our stay more comfortable. Allowed us to check in early (and offered a late check out) to fit in with our plans.

Wonderful Stay

Lovely owners very welcoming, freshly baked muffins on arrival. The room was perfect for our family of six. Warm & cosy, was very surprised how spacious the room was.
Everything we needed couldn't ask for a better place to stay, highly recommend, thanks we enjoyed our stay :)

A great Waiuku delight

Great service from Anne. Her and her husband go above and beyond to make sure all guests are comfortable.

She confirms booking by sending a personal text. Heater was put on before our arrival along with complimentary home made muffins for guests waiting on kitchen table.

Rooms are well looked after and very clean.

We most definitely would stay again if in town

This motel delivered more than expected. Although the motel itself is a little dated, the room was scrupulously clean and airy and more spacious than expected. Facilities are great and there is a nice little central green area with a bbq and seating. Staff were so friendly and welcoming.

The internet connection was poor, and there is a busy road outside. But the owners are very friendly and did everything to help with the poor internet connection A very nice touch was that, on arrival the owners left two fresh homemade muffins for me in the fridge.

Considerate hosts, comfortable quarters

Shortly after booking, I noticed in the confirmation email that the motel office closed at 9 pm, and our flight wouldn't even get in until 11:30. I rang the motel, and the lady who answered was very gracious. She said not to worry, we'll be here when you get here. By the time we got through customs and had our rental car, it was 1 am, so I called to reconfirm. The gentleman who answered said he'd be waiting for us. When we arrived -- nearly 2 am, thanks to detours and road works -- he met us with a torch to help us unload. Because of our late arrival, he said we could stay until 1 the next afternoon; they'd clean our room last, so we'd have time to sleep. The lights were on, the rollaway bed was all set up, and we were able to get settled and to sleep quickly. Beds were comfortable.

The bathroom and kitchen fixtures were a bit old-fashioned, but in good repair and clean. Internet worked flawlessly. Our unit had a full kitchen -- full-sized refrigerator, stove, oven -- a room with two twin beds and a room with a double bed. The rollaway bed was setup in the living area. The toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom, which had a bathtub/shower combination.

The motel grounds were nicely landscaped with flowers and flowering shrubs. A fence blocks the rooms from the glare of passing car headlamps. There was a helpful book of local information in the living room. I noticed that there is a bus stop next to the hotel for the metro Auckland bus system.

Warm and friendly

Our stay here at the hotel was lovely, we were welcomed so warmly, literally given a homemade muffin that the lovely owner had made for her guests. The room itself was well equipped, clean and cosy. Wifi was not great but a bonus it was free. New World is just a short drive away in the town centre itself, only about five minutes max driving. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would defiantly stay again.
