Situated on the other side of the island xanadu had a very chilled and relaxing vibe . I would recommend a 3 night stay here as there isn't much to do other then relax , eat & drink . The food in the local beachfront restaurant was lovely 😍 ,, the Fish was outstanding 👌 and all the staff here are great too .

Room satisfactory wished they had a lamp between the beds as the lighting was quite bright prefer soft lighting in the morning and at night

Was disappointed that the ride into town at check dropped us off at the temple instead of close to the ferry dock

Walking with luggage on the rough street was difficult and it wound have only taken the driver 2 extra minutes to drop everyone off closer to the ferry was quite surprised

Loved the fire show on the last night (Feb. 28) the restaurant staff was great & the reception desk!!

The water coming out of the tap is salty. I can't even wash my face properly.
Our room wasn't cleaned, even though I asked. The reception staff was helpful. The shuttle can't be used for simple shopping trips. And for pickups, there's no shuttle at the pier; it's located far away and difficult to find for first-timers.

let's start with the bad:first day beach and water was full of garbage and plastic it was us the guest tourist cleaning up! for a private beach resort not a good first impression, the next day they sent staff cleaning the beach.The water in the shower is like washing with glue water, the toilet clogged every single day just by flushing water only after the 3 day clogging they offered to change room, they don't give hand towels the balcony was dirty they don't provide shampoo and toothpaste in room you have to ask for it every single day if you are Thai they tell you to use the soap as shampoo but if me tourist ask for it they give without giving grief i was traveling with Thai GF and didn't appreciate their attitude towards a Thai guest as opposed to foreign guest.The location only has a couple restaurant overpriced but food is ok at night not much to do the last day they allowed several boats to enter the water of the private beach so swimming was not safe, the small beach opening next to cave you swim or walk to is literally covered in plastic and garbage but not easy to get to so i guess out of sight out of mind...now for the good once beach and water was cleared of plastic and garbage it's actually an amazing spot with clear water and enjoyable to swim in, the walk all the way to the cave is really nice, lots of adorable dogs on the beach and morning breakfast aside a couple dishes was actually great and plentiful better daily visit way overpriced for what they offer.

5th time to visit Ko Larn but 1st time to stay overnight. Well worth it. Went to Samae beach on 4th visit and liked it, so took the opportunity this time to stay overnight. Not too busy and not too secluded. Just right.

Free transport from ferrie was great,Check in was quick, room was nice but not cleaned as theres left over food scraps from previous occupants,bed was very good finally a hotel with a soft comfortable bed and pillows,smart tv would not connect to my phone😮‍💨 breakfast was a set dish very average but the beach was excellent and it was clean👍 so many stray dogs everywhere on the island.

Very quite location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. However, when you place guests in rooms you should stagger them so guest are not right next to each other specially guests with sometimes noisy kids and guests without kids.

How I know this is a great place, we are planning on returning.

We were at Xandau during the foreign arrival ban when all was very quiet, so that probably had an effect on our experience. But it was great. Staff very accommodating. Samae Beach is one of the more remote ones and therefore less crowded. Rooms clean and comfortable. Groinds and beach beautiful. Nice restaurant with a great breakfast. Great little resort on an interesting and easily accessible island.

I have travelled to more than 30 hotels in 5 countries so far this year. This hotel is literally \"The Worst\". The hotel should be delisted from expedia until serious renovation has been done.

First room - the floor is not cleaned, the warm water machine for shower is broken. The sink is broken and literally soaked me when I tried to wash my hands.

Second room - aircondition cannot be turned on - called in technician - they finally turns it on but it does not work properly and we were sweating in bed...

Thid room - finally get the room that is sleepable but was being downgraded...

In addition to all the horror stories above which ruin our relaxing trip, the water in this facility is the sea water, very badly filtered, so it was still salty and taste super weird...

Book this hotel if you want your vacation to be ruined or want to shower/drink the sea water.

staff are so so lovely, and super helpful. Location is good too. Rooms are spacious and clean, and although the bathrooms are pretty basic, they did the job just fine. Definitely recommend this place to stay.

As a side note, the island itself is quite dirty, lots of rubbish all over the place, plastic in the sea etc. But this place itself was very clean

I f you want a chill from Pattaya this is the place for you. Although the beach and bars are quite busy (very busy in high season) during the day, once the day trippers have left there is just the hotel guests and an empty, peaceful beach in the evening. Xanadu has it's own private section of beach/loungers for those who require it and a simple but enjoyable beachside restaurant. Rooms are basic but clean and there is no mini bar - so bring your own as there is no 7/11 either! This was my second visit and I will return.

It was the best place in the island! Right on the beach, so when you have breakfast, you are looking at the sea.

Once you know the taxis are at the end of the road, You can get anywhere on the island for 50 bhat or less.

The staff was very good.

If you go to Koh Larn, this is definitely the place to stay.

If you expect to go around at night it is impossible unless you can drive motor bike which is quite dangerous for those who are not familia with the route. Also, take your toothbrush and toothpaste. They don't provide.

Overall it was a good experience. On a nice beach, but it is somewhat isolated. That can be a good or a bad thing, depending on what you're looking for. You can get a taxi into town for about $6 US. The biggest problem is the terrible smell coming from a nearby garbage dump. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean.

This is a very basic place to stay. It is on a beautiful beach in a more remote part of the island. You will need to rent a scooter to get into the parts of town with all of the restaurants, which was not a problem for me. I would stay here again, but I don't ever plan on being in the room very much, so the quality of it is not important to me. The staff is great and very accommodating. They pick you up once you get off of the ferry and they also drop you off there when you are ready to check out. This location is great if you are trying to stay away from people visiting just for the day. There are always beach chairs ready for you from the resort that day trippers are not allowed to use. If you do not mind staying in a very basic room (bed, toilet, shower and TV with very minimal channels) this is a great place.

Getting it Wrong!

Hotel is not true to the brochure. No internet in the 2 rooms I booked . Satellite TV does NOT exist there is only Thai news channels , no sport or movie channel in English. To beat it all I had a King size bed that was made up of 2 single sheets and 2 single duvets !!! Have you any idea how uncomfortable it is to sleep in a bed where your feet gets caught in the 'join'. and the 2 single duvets part. Pizza's on the menu they don't have. At the time I went there, the hotel had a 2 day corporate event which was Thai personnel and the hotel seemed only willing to cater for that party. An overall stressed out weekend break.

This hotel is located on the beach but rooms don't have a beach view. That's fine because less than 100 meters from the room is the beach. Location is isolated so it's very quite in the morning evening and at night. In the day some boats arrive with day visitors but not as many as the other beaches. Tien beach is a 10 minute walk and very easy to get to in the day.
The hotel has 3 taxis for pick up and drop of at check in and out. But unfortunately they do not put them to better use like evening drop of and pick up to the busy beaches.
The staff are very friendly but most don't speak any English.
The rooms are big and comfortabley set up, but they and especially the bathroom are in need of maintenance. The queen bed are two twins put together and the mattresses are worn out. The ac is very week and maitence came out in minuets to check and clean the filter but did not improve so they gave a 2nd key card so the ac stays on all the time.
The hotel is located at one end of the beach. And the hotel staff try to keep that part clean. The sun beds were comfortable and readily available. At one point an employee noticed a broken bed and was quick to remove it.
Breakfast has much room for improvement.
They have an egg station but chose to prepare the eggs and put them out in the open. They get cold and insects could get into them. Even though our room did not have any insects the breakfast area had a lot. Breakfast seliction is limited.
The hotel could be much better.

We stayed at Koh Larn, Xanadu hotel, because it was a way from the congestion of being in the town of the pier, this was a good decision, the beach where we stayed was a target for “day” tourist who arrived by boat and the departed about 5-6 pm arriving starting at 10 am daily. The only concern I have is when tourists arrived they were quickly directed to our “resort” beach chairs, leaving virtually none for guests of the hotel. The resort could use some fresh paint, but the staff are very accommodating. There was everything available from ski jet, banana boat rides, lots of vendors during the day. There were motor bike/ scooter rentals all very readily priced as well as connections for snorkeling, para sailing and other attractions. It was an enjoyable stay

Needs a lot of TLC, but overall a nice stay.

The pictures are not like the property you will visit. The property is quite run down and at best would be a two star resort. It also would have been better to spread out each of the guests in the rooms instead of having all guests right beside each other, that way if your not a party person, you won't get all the noise from the people next to you. The room was nice and big, you get a small refer, no microwave but a teapot to boil water. The bathroom smelled really bad as if sewer gas was coming up through the pipes or inside the bathroom wall. This was constant throughout my stay and as a result of this the property was low rated. Also the private beach was nice and all the staff were very helpful. But the beach, if you wanted to lay in the water was full of pebbles, for the most part you could only sit on the beach. Now just down the road was a beach with lots of sand, much nicer than this beach. The food at the hotel was very good and priced well. Maybe the best part of the stay.

Great getaway from the wildness of Pattaya :-)

Great location away from the crazy group tours. Has its own beach area with free chairs. On Saem beach so you can walk down and mingle with the tourists. Very quiet at night. Group tours come through for the day and have large dinners, mainly Chinese and Thai. The rooms are cool looking and the bed is huge, private porch area. Wifi worked! Water pressure in the shower was weak, but the hot water worked. I rented a motor bike for a few days and was able to cruise around the island to check out the different beaches. Definitely a beautiful island!!!!!

I booked online thinking I got a good price, but during check in I overhead that the price was half of what I paid. They were having a promotion that week because of low occupancy. Just one of those things :-(

The only Resort thing about it, is the name.

I was pretty excited to stay at this \"resort\" as I was on a short vacation with my girlfriend. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that they have a free pick up service which means we wasted money on some taxi's. Not a big deal, but that's just where it started. The room was nice and clean. This and the colorful nature of this place are the only positives. The beach chairs and umbrellas were the dirtiest and oldest on the beach. The private beach is dirty and uncared for. After swimming, the hot water in our room didn't work, but to be fair they fixed it within ten minutes. The drinks were overpriced and the service non existent. Do yourself a favor and walk to a hut down the beach where they have better food, better drinks, better service and better prices. Unfortunately for dinner we didn't have that option, as everything but our restaurant was closed. The food wasn't terrible but nothing resortish about it. That and the fact that we had to wait 5 minutes for a menu, and share the dining area with stray dogs and cats that jumped on the table to get at your food, was too much for us. If you can find a better place to stay on this island do it, if not just day trip from Pattaya. The beach, not in front of the resort, but up a bit, is nice.

Not a paradise in Koh Larn

Hotel is old and run down. The fixtures and air conditioning are in desperate need of replacement. They think a few fresh coats of bright paint will disguise the condition.

In the bathroom, they provide a small bottle of shampoo and a bar of soap that would normally be seen at a 10 dollar (300 baht) hotel. Its little things like that that really put me off this place.

One of the better hotels on the island

Hotel was in a good location on the beach without being \"Right on the beach\" i.e. 50 meters away. Rooms spacious and modern. Shuttle service will collect you from the pier when you arrive by ferry and visa versa. One of the drivers was very accommodating and drove us to the lookout on the island for some fabulous views. Tip, ask driver to take you to the beach on the other side which is MUCH nicer than the one near the hotel. Tip No 2 - get to smorgasboard breakfast early... we arrived just before 9 am and it was all taken away.

Good location, quiet setting, good friendly staff, very nice beach. Only place on the island that offers everything listed above at a reasonable price. You will need to rent a motorcycle either in town or at the resort...200 Baht vs. 300 Baht, in order to explore the rest of the island. Resort area has a large number of food stalls to select from during the day hours. Location is very quiet at night and private. Daytime crowds come by boat from the mainland but mostly utilize the beach area next to the hotel for chairs and umbrellas and tend to stay away from hotels' beach section.

The room was very uncomfortable because the room was not clean. My body was very itchy from laying on the bed, the sofa looked dirty and had stains on it, the restrooms fixtures were covered in mold, leaking water from the drain pipe under the sink, and not to mention the bad smell coming from the drain next to the toilet . Room A1 was the room i stayed in on 12 Dec 2014.

Very Clean, Awesome Beach

This hotel was fantastic! The hotel was super clean and comfy. The beach out front was also very clean and beautiful. The bars outside close around 11pm or midnight, so if you are looking for nightlife, you'd have to take a cab to a nearby village, also probably just a 30 minute walk at most, but scooters are also available for rent. We loved the seclusion though, it was perfect! The hotel was really awesome in getting us out on a half day snorkeling session, also in daytime there are free taxis from hotel around the island, the island is pretty small, we rented a scooter and cruised the whole island in an afternoon. Really, really, really loved this place! Just 30 Baht to get out here on a big boat, took about an hour. also it's easy to get out there on a speed boat, 10 mintues, 200 Baht per person.

We sliepen een nachtje hier, wat eenvoudiger hotel. ‘s avonds is er wel niet veel te zien. Basic kamer en badkamer. Ontbijt en vriendelijkheid van personeel waren wel top. Tip: borstel om het zand uit de kamer te keren.

The room is bit old, and really dirty
They don't give you, towels for hands, feels bit strange.

The bed sheet, feels dirty(maybe old?)

The room is really hot, and even when you put lowest heat, is never cold.

The shower is a joke,

They have good TV channels, and good bed at alest.

Frühstück die Wahl zwischen 3 Menüs bei längerem Aufenthalt zu eintönig!!! Die Sitzgelegenheiten sehr unbequem auf der Terrasse aber direkt am Wasser.

Hyggelig øy-opplevelse i kort avstand fra Pattaya

Xanandu er ikke et \"luksus hotel\", men er et velorganisert hotell i mellom-klassen. Veldrevet med punktlig service - feks når det gjelder transport fra/ til fergen mellom attaya og Koh Larn. Veldig vennlig og service-orientert betjening i alle funksjoner.

In die Jahre gekommenes Resort.
Seit Corona nichts mehr gemacht worden.
Dreckige Bettwäsche, nach Handtüchern muss man fragen, Safe nicht abschliessbar.

16 Liegestühle, welche schon vor 7.00 Uhr morgens mit Handtücher reserviert werden.
Die andern Liegestühle sind gegen Bezahlung mietbar.

Frühstück jeden Tag das selbe, für zwei Tage absolut ok.

Rezeption gibt sich Mühe, leider word einem nicht mitgeteilt, dass ab 18.00 Uhr auf der ganzen Insel kein Taxi mehr fährt….

Sehr auf russische Tages-Gäste ausgelegt.

Slitt og ikke som på bildene. Rommet var ikke rengjort sikkelig. Det var tannkrem på speilet og buser hang i tapeten
Stranden var skitten og restauranten på hotellet hadde kafeteria standar. Betjening snakket dårlig engelsk og smilte aldri. Unntaket var vakten på stedet. Han var hyggelig.
