Hidden cost for not include in booking
We have booked a lot of hotels in New Zealand for 4 with more than 2 beds in our stay in New Zealand from Hotels.com. This is the only hotel that we do not recommend due to hidden cost. We booked a room for 4, but during check in, we were told that this room we booked, which has 1 queen and 2 single beds is for only 2 adults, and we were charged additional NZD$30 per adult per night. As a result, we incurred additional NZD$120 for 2 nights. This is also the only hotel that we were told not to have any cooking that has odours, or else we will be charged an additional night. Thus after our stay, we have to get someone from the hotel to verify that there is no odour, as we totally do not trust the hotel at all. Overall, it is clean, and looks new. But we will only recommend booking the normal rooms for 2 adults each to avoid any hidden cost. If you plan to cook, also avoid this hotel.

Room was great, comfortable. Biggest problem was the parking with no order or set parks for each unit. We would come back and there would be no free parking spaces. Allotting a park for each unit would be the sensible thing to do. We had to cut some of our activities short so we could get back early to secure a park. We are elderly, 76yrs and 80yrs old so parking on the street was not an option. Parking or lack of, kind of spoilt all the good things about the facility.
