I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone. The TV’s didn’t work in any of the rooms, no internet in any of the rooms, the furniture was old, the sliding doors to get to the balcony were hard to open and close, bird poop was all over the balcony and pool area, there were no chairs to sit down on the balcony and pool area. I booked this property for a week and only stayed one day due to the horrible experience. That was $1200 wasted that I can’t get refunded, because of the deception rating and reviews on this website. Furthermore, I was told by an hotel employee that the property had been abandoned by its original owner and the government gave another company vouchers to run it. However, that company refused to due any renovations to it. It hadn’t renovated in over 10 years and the pics of the property are from 2014. Expedia please remove this property from your booking listing.

Not a 4 star but rather 2, never again!

Noisy place, music from the disco kept us all night and we had asked to be put in a quiete area on the second floor and was told there are no suites on that one but later found out that was a complete lie and i found out on the last day that it was only reserved to their Rich GCC clientele that bring their girlfriends, I had paid an executive suite by the way and did not enjoy my stay with family at all, I will for sure avoid staying in this hotel and Mohammedia, and will stay in Kenzi Tower Casablanca, superbe hôtel and personal are outstanding!

Nice Anniversary Weekend

Spa was really nice. We enjoyed the time there. We had a nice quiet anniversary weekend there. Room was nice and comfortable. There weren’t any particular issues. There are some details that need to be fixed and cleaned up but overall there were no issues and we had a great weekend. I imagine that the hotel will need some remodeling and detail work soon but it certainly didn’t affect our stay. Right on the beach so that is nice. Like many beaches, trash is an issue. Would love to see jobs provided for people that could drag the beaches for trash daily. In a country with large unemployment and huge focus on tourism, you’d think this would be a no brainer. Worth a stay in the future.

Extrememly unwelcoming environment at the Avanti. Staff are not
Interested in providing guest services at any level. From check in to check out - staff do not look up from their computer screens. Very poor level of services. Shame as location of hotel is very good being beachfront in a small town forty mins from the airport and twenty five minutes from Casablanca. Company that owns the hotel need to evaluate their management and staff as currently the hotel has nothing to offer guests that pay to stay there.

Avanti Mohammedia hotel

This is the only decent hotel at the city of Mohammedia for now, as they are building couple other hotel nearby from what I saw. The hotel is in excellent location, by the beach with some nice sea-view rooms and beautiful pool area It's has great potential of being a top hotel in the area, however, it has one problem...its employees . Especially the reception staff in the hotel are dragging its reputation down. They are so lazy and unfriendly...they’re always looking down at their computer screen which is a big NO in the hotel business. I’m not sure if they are working or just pretending to be looking at the screen so they won't greet the clients, either way, it’s so unprofessional. These guys don’t even smile.

I booked an executive room with Sea-view ( that according to them sleeps 3) when I got there the room had one bed, then they brought another single bed for my son but they wanted to charge an extra thirty dollars extra per day. They waved the fee after a long arguments and a prove that I had booked and confirmed and fully paid for the room for 3 people. Next few days, the cleaning crew kept leaving only one towel in the shower, so I would have to place multiple calls to the reception to have them bring more towels which they eventually bring them after an hour and half later.

These things are not expected from a 4 start hotel staff but as I said the staff need training on how to treat clients and to make them comfortable. Just a smile will do !!

Nice hotel but...

This is a nice hotel with very good facilities especially the swimming pool and few restaurants. It is located at a beach front. The beach is public and quite dirty. We spent most of the time at the pool. The rooms are clean. The bathroom was nice but the pipes were clogged. The shower area is not well covered. The water spill on the floor was a common occurrence. The breakfast was just OK. The surrounding area of the hotel was scary. We noticed many beggers and a heavy police presence. However, the hotel is gated and safe.

Nice stay at the Avanti

The Avanti Hotel in Mohammedia is a good choice for a relaxing time outside of a busy city. The service is very good to excellent and the accommodations are nice. A location is particularly nice as it is pretty much right on the beach and within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was in the Sphinx Hotel. Across the street is probably the best breakfast we had which was in the Bella Costa restaurant. The local people were very friendly and respectful. However, I would have one word of caution; it seems the cab drivers are very needy and in fact dishonest. Upon arriving at the airport, a man offered a taxi for 400 DH and claimed he made a mistake and he wanted 570. Eventually offered him 500 and was hoping that I would get my luggage. He argued with us for 10 minutes before we got out of the car. Another man gave us a two-minute drive to the train station and then when I brought my money out he snatched 100 DH out of my hand and drove off. I recommend this hotel for service, value and location. Be aware that the drive from the airport is about 40 minutes to the hotel but its only a few minutes to the train station.

We got to the hotel after a two and a half drive, when we went to check in we were told that 'there are no nice rooms left at the hotel so we will give you whatever we have'. Even if there weren't any nice rooms left, I don't see why they would disclose this to us and put us off. After that we paid for taxes and the clerk said to collect our change tomorrow, when we checked out they acted like they had no idea what change we were talking about and didn't give us our money back. They had no services for money exchange either. On top of that when we went out to the coast through the back exit of the hotel the security guard told us to go round next time because he couldn't be bothered to open it. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our trip and this was by far the worst.

Disappointing experience but fairly good hotel

Nearly empty hotel mostly used by golfers, with good infrastructure however and in front of decent beach. The problem was that most staff seemed too busy with their own other business to bother about guests, or if they did they gave me the impression that they were expecting a tip. In fact I did not give one to the only staff who accepted to do something and the day after I was ignored. The food (buffet and a la carte) is limited (one day I had to pay full price for a buffet that was nearly emptied by previous diners). Luckily it is enough to exit the hotel and walk to town and the souk (10 minutes) to find all great local food and cheap. Night club was closed without reason (empty like the rest of the hotel). Maybe the hotel is better in summer. Anyway a decent place en route elsewhere in Morocco of after a flight.

It was a beautiful, beautiful place. But the service was terrible. The cleaning lady entered without knocking, while we were in the room.The internet didn't work.The TV was weird. Then the card that usually indicates hotel phone numbers wasn't there but when I went downstairs to tell the front desk, they insisted it was there rather than resolving the problem by giving me another card. Finally, while we reserved and paid for a three person room, they acted surprised that we actually wanted a bed for that third person and told us we would be charged $30. There were a lot of frustrating moments for a very short stay.

Glad to have picked this hotel

I booked my trip with two holidays in the middle. My bad. However, the hotel staff and facilities saved the day. It's right on the beach so I was able to get out. The bar prices were a little high but that's typical of hotels. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were like being at a spa. Most of the restaurants were closed during the holidays but the buffet restaurant had good food. Also, room service was available which was also quite nice. I'm planning another trip to Morocco in the spring and I will definitely be booking the Avanti.

Avant should explain they are a remote resort 45 minutes from the airport. The hotel staff is pleasing. Trying to travel to shopping you must go to another city which is expensive.

We had one of the employees rip us off when we exchanged USD to dirharms. They had a sign by the desk with the exchange rate and told us that wasnt their rate when fully I could see they didn't have enough dirham's to give me. They acted like I didn't understand what they were doing. Even though I paid for the hotel, in addition I paid for the extra bed and the city tax which cost about $50 more. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel unless you just want to relax. There was nothing near it and it was faraway from Mohammad V International Airport.

Nice hotel but disappointing staff

The hotel is very well located in the heart of Mohammadia, close to the beach (though we haven't experimented that due to bad weather -- none of the hotel's fault obviously).

The hotel is very well maintained and clean, I would have given it 5 stars if we hadn't see stains on bed sheets (the sheets seemed fresh but a few stains were apparent on sheets and pillows).

Food (the free breakfast) was absolutely wonderful, a true local experience for those looking for authentic food, but also continental breakfast for those who prefer a more western-like experience. 5 star.

Our biggest disappointment was staff. The reception staff felt like they were \"just doing their job\". Very neutral / cold. And when we left the room we had forgotten a little alarm clock, but when we called back to check whether it had been found their was no interest from the staff on following up (they said they'd call back but they never did). We called again and we were faced with the same indifference. Not to mention some strange requests about passports to which we didn't get clear answers other than \"it's the procedure here\".

Overall the price we paid was way to high for the value (120 USD / night in low season!), for that kind of money you can (and should) a LOT better for the money especially when it comes to service and cleanliness. This is why I am not recommending this hotel despite the few great points I mentioned above to remain objective.

This was a great place to stay, comfortable room although Executive Room is a bit crowded. Service could not have been any better. Food good, average. Again, service great. Hotel is far away from everything, not centrally located. Had to taxi to train station to get anywhere. Unless you are there for business in the hotel, not a good place to stay for location.

This is a fine hotel which seems to primarily cater to business clients in the winter. Our rooms were as advertised and comfortable and it was nice to be able to walk out the door and stroll down the Corniche. However, the whole experience was marred by the attitude of the hotel staff. The hotel appeared virtually overstaffed but, with a couple of valiant exceptions, they made you feel as if you were importuning them with any question or request. Towels were taken in the morning, then not replaced for hours, if at all (was there a shortage?).Perhaps they were not geared for tourists in the winter season. The management needs to take the lead in changing the staff attitude.

Peaceful Hotel on Beach

We had a quiet stay during off season for just one day but it was wonderful. Relaxed by the pool, took a dip, walked along the beach in the early morning, and then ate a fantastic breakfast at the hotel the next morning.

First of all the hotel is known in several names: Avanti, Amphitrite and locals calls it Samir.
Public areas are of high quality decoration .
Rooms are quite spacious but furnishing is poor, for example balconies are not furnished. The sea view rooms are on the shade side and if you wish some sun you are facing the parking place.
Staff is friendly but 99% french speaking, so reception is the only place for english information.
The food quality is not meeting the pricing level. There are several good international restaurants around the city and its easy and cheap to take a \"petit taxi\" to Esplanade du Parc or harbour.
Breakfast food quality is better than average but service needs much improvement.
Clientele is mostly business and working people and occasionally golfers.

Nice hotel, shame about the service

On the surface, a very nice hotel. Rooms are superb and kept in superb order by the maids. The problem comes with the waiting staff, loads of them but none seeming to have a clue what to do. It was always a lottery whether you had a full complement of cutlery etc for breakfast, the only day we didn't have to ask for spoons was the 1st day, after that it was an uphill struggle, even if you asked you weren't guaranteed to get one. What with that and having to change rooms at 1am due to a wedding that was blaring out music from 11pm to 5.30am, I couldn't wait to leave. No compensation was offered either, had I been here for pleasure I would have been apocalyptic. The only reason I would recommend this hotel was the fact it appeared to be the nicest 1 around.

After too many days in Casablanca, fled here, knew not what to expect...what a delightful spot! Ramps for strollers/wheelchairs (rare in Morocco), fabulous breakfast, lovely staff. The beach is kind of dirty, but so is the whole country. Lots of kids all around, everyone is friendly, very few tourists in May (though I hear the town is packed in the summertime). If you have to be in Casablanca, consider staying here instead.

Chambre 134. La baie vitrée n'est pas très étanche. Lorsqu'il y a du vent, un bruit de soufflerie est présent dans la chambre et cela est dérangeant la nuit. Egalement, il y a un bureau dans la chambre, mais il n'y a pas de chaise. Malgré ma demande cette dernière n'est jamais arrivée dans la chambre. Et pour finir, j'ai pris un chambre donnant sur la mer. Il serait bon de mettre sur le balcon une petite table avec des chaises.

Un grand soucis quand le restaurant voilier occupe tout le parking de l'hôtel, les clients de l'hôtel ont occune priorité, j'ai perdu 45 à attendre seule une place de parking et c'était très tard la nuit. J'ai dû annulé la deuxième nuit pour ne pas prendre le risque d'avoir le mème soucis samedi soir. Donc la chambre est bien avec une vue mais tout le reste à revoir.

Fourmis dans les chambres, room service très cher, resto piscine hors de prix et se moquent des clients en proposant un service midi a volonté a 300 dirham, 30€ personne, pour l'enlever 1h après !!!!

Bref, prend ces clients pour des pigeons et demande 450€ pour un lit supplémentaire enfant jamais demandé!
Beaucoup d'erreur dans les commandes au restaurant et nombreux oublis lors du ménage des chambres (serviettes, papiers toilettes)

Für ein ****-Hotel im Marokko akzeptabel, weil unser Tagespreis (inkl. Pool und Frühstück) mit CHF 124.- durchschnittlich pro Tag in der Hauptsaison für ein Doppelzimmer unserer Meinung nach angemessen ist (inkl. Gebühren, excl. Tourismusabgabe).
Was uns aufgefallen ist:
+ Das Hotel ist sicher und überwacht und hat einen gepflegten Grünpark mit Pool.
+ das Frühstück ist reichlich und vielseitig,
+ jeden Tag zwei 3.3 dl Fläschchen Mineralwasser,
+ gratis WLAN, erspart Roaming-Packet

- das defektes Licht in Sanitärraum (Led um Spiegel herum) und de Nachttischlampe im Zimmer wird nicht repariert,
- nasse Wäsche im Sanitärraum wird nicht immer gewechselt,
- zum Voraus-Buchungen wurden von der Reception nur nach Vorweisen unseres schriftlichen Beleges von der PC-Buchung erkannt. Als neue Gast ist das etwas befremdlich, wenn das längst vorher gebuchte Zimmer scheinbar der Reception unbekannt ist. Aber man hat sich wegen des Belegs gefunden.
- Der Zimmerservice hat von sich aus die Klimaanlage hochgefahren und auf 16°C bei einer Aussentemparatur von 26 °C eingeschaltet. Das war in der ersten Nacht etwas kalt, wir haben am Morgen selbst einfach auf 20°C hinauf geschaltet, dann war es an den übrigen 4 Tagen angenehm.

Das Hotel ist sauber und zweckmässig. Grosser Pool und direkt am Meer. Personal nicht sonderlich freundlich. Machen mehrheitlich einen gelangweilten Eindruck. Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt. Essen durchzogen. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt ist es gut. Für längere Zeit nicht zu empfehlen.

5 Nachten verbleven in dit hotel. Eerste indruk was prachtig. Mooie laan, ruim ontvangst. Helaas viel de kamer (zeezicht) enorm tegen: verouderd, geen sfeer. Daarnaast was de staf ook niet vriendelijk. Bij alle vragen was ‘nee’ het antwoord en een glimlach kon er ook niet vanaf. De gym en het zwembad waren wel fijn.

- teilweise kaputte/offene Steckdosen im Zimmer
- Sehr schlechte Rezeption (wurden jeden Tag gefragt wann wir aus-checken obwohl das eindeutig geklärt war)
- kein Service am Pool (Handtücher/Getränke)

Bei dem Hotel gehen Anspruch und Wirklichkeit sehr weit auseinander. Ich würde dort niemandem empfehlen zu Übernachten. Für den Preis gibt es deutlich bessere Hotels mit viel besserem Personal!
