Staff was helpful and communicative. We caught on a closed road, and realized we weren't going to make check in, we looked at our phone to contact them, and they had already reached out before check in closed and made arrangements for us. Took a load off while sitting in traffic.

Breakfast (for a charge) was delicious. Staff and property were great.

The room was beautiful and clean, the bathroom seemed brand-new and in perfect shape. Liquid soaps and shampoo all from local Soap Company, high quality and very eco-friendly! Only downside was it's poorly soundproofed; you hear your neighbours talk (normal voice level) and their bathroom extractor fan rumble in the middle of the night whenever anyone visits the loo with lights on.

When we arrived to the hotel, there was no one there. The beds themselves were ok, but my friend found a dead spider in her bed. The room had quite a few cobwebs/spiders. There was also mold in the shower/bathroom. We were very glad to only have one night here. Best thing about the hotel is the proximity to other places.

Nice hotel but noisy..sounds like heating or water pipes and not the Scottish type. Did advice and said they cannot hear anything.. between 9pm and 10pm and 7.30 to 8 am .. loud in the room (18).
However, nice room and bathroom. Beds a bit soft. View comes with a camera on the opposite building that hopefully doesn't look in the room ?.
Good location for an overnight stay. Free carpark.
Restaurant not fancy but the pizza was good.

The hotel is adorable and in a prime location! Staff were friendly and checking in and out was convenient. My only low score is because the walls are super thin and depending on your neighbors you may hear more than you want. I softly knocked on the wall and my neighbors quieted down but I could still hear them, their conversation and their phone calls who were on speaker phone. Despite that, I would stay there again and just be prepared for potentially loud neighbors.

The welcome was lovely our room was ready early so they managed to allow using early. Which was so appreciated . Donald the manager and the team cannot do enough for you. Kyle was excellent at the bar on our first two evenings and he sorted out our room TV in minutes, after I had managed to mess it up?
The food is very good particularly in the evening,we had the fish and chips on our last night . The house keeping is excellent very helpful staff and the rooms were lovely. It's a lovely village a perfect location to enjoy Loch Ness and we will be back . Thank You

It will do, but not a recommendation.

It worked for needing a place to sleep, but the mattress was in such poor condition, you were just sleeping on the boxspring and every sneeze, cough or trip to the bathroom the person next door made was crystal clear. The room was clean, and the WiFi was excellent.

Best bit definitely friendliness of staff. They make a relaxed atmosphere.

Think twice before making a booking here

Difficult to find . Picture of the hotel on website was misleading. Reception was a poky desk just inside the main entrance . No one there initially. Booked 2 rooms for 1 night(27th July). Checked and was told we were staying in 2 lodge rooms. Lodges conjure up in my mind comfortable accommodation with a pleasant outlook. This was not the case. On opening the door to one of the rooms I was met with a foul smell of damp . The walls were clad in dark wood which made the place very uninviting. The bathroom also had an awful smell and the carpet in there was dirty. The second lodge was exactly the same. After discussion we decided not to stay the night. I’m no snob but just couldn’t sleep in those conditions. We lost our money but it didn’t matter. This place is in need of an urgent update to bring it up to an acceptable standard.
Incidentally we found lovely clean accommodation about 10 miles up the road.

The room was darker than I like but the room was perfectly fine for our needs fir one night. We did not have a breakfast option but there were places very close by for food.

Great place to stay right by Loch Ness.

The museum is wonderful, don't skip it! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was tasty.
The short (less than 5 minute) walk to the \"touristy\" part of town for dinner one night and to check out the local shops is easy and beautiful.

Our room was spotless, the check in process was painless and the staff were very helpful.
We booked the wrong room (thanks a lot Expedia) and they quickly got us a room that was right for us and our big dog.

Could use some new mattresses, and the water pressure in the shower was not great, still managed to get clean so thats what matters.

Definitely plan on staying here again.

Just returned from a week in Scotland and used the Loch Ness Drumnadrochit Hotel as a base whilst backpacking the Affric Kintail Way over 4 days. Fantastic service provided all round by Donald and his team. From allowing me to park my car there for 4 days while completing my multi day walk to providing plenty of useful information about the area and things to do. On finishing my walk, I'd planned to stopover one night and return home.I decided last minute to stay for 2 nights to rest up and Donald booked me into a lovely room which was just what I needed after 4 days in a backpacking tent. He and his staff couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome and the food in the restaurant was excellent too. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking at staying in and around Loch Ness.

The staff changed my room from a double in the main building to a double in one of the “chalets” due to renovation in the main building over-running. It was inconsiderate not to inform me at some point and ask if that was OK. Be aware also that check in closes at 4pm!

On arrival (mid October), I was advised that there was no restaurant service other than breakfast, and no bar.
Room was clean and fresh, however I discovered a used towel on the radiator behind the Bathroom door.
TV worked fine, but there was no remote.
Bathroom fan worked well but was noisy, so may have upset neighbours, (electric) shower worked well, but was also quite noisy.
It is clear that this is a seasonal hotel. And the season had ended, so few staff.
Disappointing, as it could have been good I think if all the resources had been available.

Perfect place to stay instead of the busyness of Inverness. Got upgraded to a nice new room and it was clean, well designed and easy to access. The short walk across the bridge into town was perfect and there were a few nice restaurants to choose from (thank you to the front desk staff for recommendations!). Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our room was cozy and quiet. The beds were so very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely- except that we couldn’t figure out how to use the shower. Turns out the electrical switch was turned off and was out side the bathroom, out of reach above the door. We laughed and got on with it! I highly recommend this hotel- it was so very nice!

This was a great place to stay. When we first arrived the gentleman at the desk was very friendly and gave us an upgraded room and loads of information about the hotel and everything to do in the area.
The room was spacious and clean and updated. The walls are very thin and be warned the room next door will hear everything! Even so it was a comfy place to stay.
Breakfast was ok, but the female staff were rude and even huffed at me. Oh well… maybe they were having a bad day.
The shops were great and had all the souvenirs I was looking for. They went above and beyond to help me pick out the perfect whisky. We loved the little gin distillery.
I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This hotel was a great choice for driving around the highlands. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The town is cute and there are good dining options. I couldn't think of a better jumping off point for exploring the highlands and would definitely go back. The only negative that I would point out is that the walls are paper thin

It is a very old property. There were air fresheners (not refreshing ones) everywhere to cover up any smells. The room we were in had 0 water pressure; I couldn’t get the shampoo out of my hair it was such a trickle. The walls are paper thin too.

The staff was great, food was great. The
Hotel is cute and nice. I went to make tea and my cup was dirty (the only issue….and I’m sure a small oversight). This may not be the hotel for someone with mobility issues as there are stairs for the rooms and restaurant. I am disabled and we got the furthest room up two sets of stairs. I would stay again just maybe mention to them I can’t do too many stairs.

Such a great property with a cottage-like vibe. The shopping onsite was fantastic and the restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Restaurant (Cobbs) easily accommodated my GF/celiac diet. Definitely recommend staying here.
