Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was beautifully presented with a great choice of cereals, fruit salad, meats, cheeses, eggs/tomatoes with mozzarella etc, cakes … a veritable feast. Bathroom toiletries were really good even for sensitive skin. Towels could have been nicer, but overall a lovely and quiet place to stay, with short walk to main line station and Rick’s Cafe where there are amazing staff and drinks! Would highly recommend and definitely go back.

Everything about this hotel was nice and pleasant: it's nice and clean, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are convenient, the people are pleasant, the breakfast is delicious. But one thing stands out - unlike most hotel in Europe, this one offers free parking, AND it was available. The overall feeling after spending the night at this hotel was wonderful.

We arrived late due to a long flight delay. The receptionist mentioned a name for check in and when I said that’s not us, she made us believe we were in the wrong location. This created a major panic for us. Then she checked and realized we were in fact in the right location. This was interesting as we were checking in late and probably the only room left waiting for people to arrive. The location of the hotel is in a very small town with nothing around. As we’d been delayed we inquired about food from the receptionist and she said one place which may be closed. There was no sympathy given for the fact that there was no food available or anywhere to go and get food. It was not the best way to get to the hotel after a long day. We understand we arrived late and the receptionist was on her way out but would have appreciated a warmer welcome.

I have stayed at Zur Post several times over the past 10 years and I am always impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the front desk staff, and the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The breakfast is outstanding and the breakfast staff is continually replenishing the many available choices and keeping tables clear and clean. My only disappointment has been when I am not able to get a reservation because this property is so popular!

Quiet place after a day in crowded Munich with easy walkable dining options including in house. Liked the little bar area next to reception to get a quick drink for the room! Hotel was also close to public transportation into Munich and parking was easy with no surcharge. Very clean and friendly.

Hotel was nice, clean,quiet and comfortable. It's in a suburban town and has the feeling you are in a B & B. Train station is about 5 minutes walk and very convenient.Receptionist was efficient at check in and staff were helpful. Will stay again if ever in this part of the world.

big comfortable room, good location near restaurants and bars. nice breakfast.
Very bad wifi, needs serious improvement for coverage and capacity. I had to place laptop on chair near door to get enough signal to get email. cellular coverage is poor in area (not hotel fault just a warning, had to leave cell phone next to window). Big bathroom but tiny shower stall, strange.

Staff (especially Elizabeth at the front desk) was excellent. She helped us find our way back and forth to Oktoberfest. Short walk to train, 25 minute ride to downtown Munich. Loved the town of Ismaning. It's a nice bead and breakfast place.. BTW breakfast was great.

8 minute walk to train station that can take you either directly to the airport ir downtown. Good options for restaurants nearby (including one attached to hotel). Only complaint was they need to get some new pillows! Otherwise, very clean, comfortable rooms. Will be staying here again!

Great hotel, close to airport and Munich

I stayed here while visiting family and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, hearty breakfast, clean and comfortable room, and the location. The hotel is within easy walking distance to several small shops and parks in Ismaning, and is ideally situated with quick access to the airport, main train station (Hauptbahnhof) and all of Munich via the inexpensive urban rail system (S-Bahn).

It was a treat to stay here. The front desk personnel were pleasant, helpful, and kind, and the housekeepers were attentive and kept my room and the hotel very clean. Breakfast was complete with eggs, breakfast meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, yogurt, many types of bread and rolls, and a wonderful coffee machine that dispensed several different coffee choices. The friendly breakfast room staff always greeted me in the morning and kept the tables cleared and the buffet full.

There is a wonderful Italian restaurant on the premises. The family that runs it is warm, personable, and inviting. I would like to have taken more meals with them. The food was good, the ambiance warm, and the grappe delicious!

I hope to make more journeys to Ismaning in the future and will always choose Hotel zur Post. Truly, a home away from home!

The host was very kind and welcoming, the room was very clean. Hot water and towel warmers in the super clean bathroom were a nice touch. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wonderful selection of meat, cheese, fruits, yogurt, bread, eggs, juice, coffee, etc. The walk from the Ismaning metro is 8 minues, but if you have heavy bags, I recommend a taxi. It is a nice little town. There were elevators, and I liked how the hallways light automatically turned on when you walked down them, a nice electricity saver. There was also a little bar downstairs, and in the morning a candy dish with breath mints and vitamin candies. Very nice!

Perfect Place for Oktoberfest!

Four of us stayed here for Oktoberfest. It's so close to the train station which runs every 20 mins to Munich. Ismaning is an adorable little town as well. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful especially to those in our group which did not speak German. The rooms were comfortable and spacious for 4, which is hard to find. The breakfast is out of this world! They even have an espresso machine. When we left at 4:30am on a Saturday, the dark lobby was filled with the smell of fresh bread which had just been delivered from a local bakery. Highly recommend!

We got a room at the Hotel Zur Post in Ismaning because of the convenient location between downtown Munich and the airport. Nice for early flights out. But, like many smaller hotels in Europe there's no A/C. So, to get any air in summer you must open the windows, which means you're subject to road noise and bugs. The night we were there, a wedding reception was taking place in the lobby area and it was really loud for much of the night. At 11 PM we asked when things might wind down and the receptionist looked at us like we were the problem. I mean, if you pay for a room, you should expect a room not directly over a noisy party, right? We also stayed at a Hotel Zur Post in Rosenheim a few years back and had the exact same problem so maybe the hotel is frequently used for parties? Don't know for sure, we just know that we'll never stay at another one. For those who don't mind noise, parking was free, breakfast was decent, and the S-Bahn was only a 10 minute walk. Good luck.

Sehr sauber und ruhig, aber insgesamt ist das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis nicht ganz so gut.
Obwohl mittlere Kategorie, war mein Zimmer sehr klein. Insbesondere das Badezimmer hätte einer Person mit mehr Leibesfülle sicherlich Probleme bereitet.
Auch beim Frühstück hätte ich für den Preis etwas mehr erwartet.
Ansonsten aber sehr sauber, sehr freundlich und gute Parkplatzsituation.

Die Lage in Ismaning ist zentral und ruhig gelegen. Hotle macht einen ordentlichen, sauberen Eindruck.
Personal könnte etwas aufgeschlossener, netter sein.
Frühstücksbuffet war gut.
Für eine Geschäftsreise von ein paar wenigen Tagen zu empfehlen.

uhig und schön gelegenes Übernachtungshotel

Freundlicher Service und großes Zimmer. Die Zustellcouch war sehr hart das Doppelbett sehr gut. Aufgrund der Corona Vorschriften im Freistaat Bayern war die Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum etwas gedrückt, da minutiös die Vorschriften eingehalten wurden. Selbst der Weg vom Tisch zum Ausgabebuffett wurde mit MNS getätigt.
Ein Spaziergang vom Hotel zum Rathaus, dem ehemaligen Schloss, ist sehr schön.
Der im angrenzenden Haus gelegene Italiener ist eher hochpreisig jedoch geschmacklich sehr gut. Alles im allen ein gutes Übernachtungshotel, welches sicher noch außerhalb von Corona Zeiten gewinnt.

Sehr geehrter Hotels.com-Team,
der Aufenthalt im Hotel zur Post war in Ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Die Dame an der Rezeption war beim Check-In und bei der Abreise unfreundlich. Leider funktioniert das Wlan nur bedingt, wovon ich heutzutage davon ausgehe - dass ein Hotel ein gut funktionierendes W-Lan seinen Gästen anbietet. Das Frühstück hingegen war absolut super!
