The pool was closed for 3.5 of the 6.5 days we were there. This made our holiday much less enjoyable! Is there a system whereby we are refunded any money because of this?

On the whole the staff were very good but getting breakfast from the app proved difficult and although the beds were clean the room really needed an update, the bathroom being particularly grubby.

The hotel was a good value for money. Reception folks and ladies are very helpful and polite.
The Room was clean and nice. The pool was ok, although a bit overcrowded. It’s possible to buy souvenirs or book tours on the ground floor.
There is a nice restaurant downstairs where all day meal is available should need one.

The room furniture and oven would need some refurbishing.
It was kind of challenge to cook as the cooker didn’t work properly and didn’t go off according to the position of regulator. It might be only in our room though and I don’t about others.

We booked here months in advance, only to arrive after 25 hours of travel to be told they don’t have a room for us due to maintenance and they were going to cab us 20 minutes away out of the marina to another hotel. No compensation and no other choice. After they made us wait another two hours, Expedia helped us move to another marina hotel. Choose another hotel, any other one if you want to avoid poor management and communication nightmares

I stayed at this hotel, and while the staff were friendly and polite, the overall experience was disappointing.

The room’s furniture was very old and outdated. Despite requesting a non-smoking room, my room had a strong cigarette smell that never went away throughout my stay. The worst part was the presence of small mosquitoes in the room at all times, which made it very uncomfortable.

I’ve been coming to this hotel for a few years now , the staff are always so welcoming and helpful . The location is ideal , near to the metro , supermarkets next door and easy walk to the marina . The only negative I can say is that as it’s on a main road it can be noisy .

Self-service stay in Dubai for reasonable price

I wanted somewhere in the Marina, fair priced and to be able to avoid going out for meals every night. This was a good choice. Well located near the subway and for the Marina Walk and plenty of Careem taxis in the area. The one downside was the lack of variety of food utensils in the room - just plates and small coffee cups. But that’s a small issue. The room was clean, quiet and well maintained. The pool and area were very pleasant and there were plenty of local eateries and supermarkets to choose from.

Rooms are cramped, pricey, beds are extremely uncomfortable, especially two twin beds in a single room are very closely adjacent to each other. Very poor quality for this price range. Breakfast is lacking in equality and taste & selection. The eggs look very undesirable, creamy and whipped, poor bread, selection, poor juice quality, equivalent to sugar water. The coffee is see-through and so weak.
This management has a lot to learn to provide better quality for the money they are charging. At least the pool area was clean

I recently stayed at a hotel that I found to be conveniently located near various amenities such as transportation, restaurants, and boasting wonderful views. However, I faced some challenges during my stay. Firstly, upon arrival, I had to wait for an hour for my room to be ready, despite having just completed a long trip. Unfortunately, the receptionist appeared to be under pressure and struggled to communicate effectively amidst the backdrop of several other guests raising complaints. Additionally, while exploring the hotel, I observed that employees at souvenir shops were overly attentive, causing me discomfort. While the hotel offers a range of activity options, prices are on the higher end.

With respect to the hotel facilities, I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. However, I noticed that the kitchen requires some renovation. Overall, the hotel's location is excellent, but the high price point may not be commensurate with the outdated kitchen.

We found the Marina View Hotel Apartments ideal for our stay with the location with its proximity to both the Marina promenade/area and the metro/tram. The cleaning staff were excellent and serviced the room daily and the only thing my wife missed was not having a balcony to sit out on but we were close to a main road which would probably not have been great as roads in Dubai are generally very busy. Unusually we had some rain during our stay and some of the rainwater managed to get into our room, which we pointed out to the cleaning staff who very quickly sorted it out. We had one episode during our stay when we were trying to get a taxi from outside of our hotel and asked the concierge. I understood he had gone into the hotel to arrange one and within a minutes a 'white' taxi arrived (similar to the one who transferred us from the airport). It turned out that this is a 'private hire' car not one of the normal taxis limited to the charges set by the government and we were subsequently charged 3 x what the normal taxi charge would have charged us, so avoid these at all costs. When I queried this the next day in the hotel reception the concierge couldn't recall ordering me one and stated he would not have ordered a 'private hire' car in any case so I can only presume my request got 'lost in translation' and put this down to experience. Other than this we enjoyed our stay in Dubai and would certainly recommend the Marina View Hotel as a good base for a visit.

I was very upset when they gave us room on a smoking floor, I didn’t want to be there, then they moved us to another room, while eating our dinner, I saw big cockroach, I was so upset, my suitcase was on the floor and open, I do not want to bring home cockroaches, they moved us to the first floor for that night and they said tomorrow they can move us to the eighth floor, so the room on the eighth floor was ok, really needs a good cleaning, huge stain in a tub, it’s probably not washable, everything is in ok condition and really needs updating, kitchen barely stuffed, no soap or sponge, no pan to cook, we asked so they brought it for us, workers friendly and helpful and did probably the best to accommodate us, but this property is disappointing, the only thing is, it’s close to metro and marina, I traveled a lot and stay in different hotels and this was in the worst condition that I ever stayed at, at least we got the room without cockroaches, or maybe we just didn’t see it, not sure, it was disgusting and very upsetting, I liked that they have shuttle to the beach, kitchen cabinets is in not pleasant condition, this property really needs to be upgraded.

We were 3persons in a small apartment ( living room 1 bedroom) and they put an extra bed to the living room, which was also comfortable. Really just about 10 minutes walk to the JBR and Marina beach. The Marina Walk is 5 minutes on foot, also few minutes to the Marina mall and the Metro station. If your room faces the Main road it is a bit noisy even with closed windows, but we did not have problem sleeping. Daily cleaning is fine, several bottles of water provided free of charge each day. The condition of the rooms is a bit lousy, i.e. in the bathtub there were traces of the paint they had used for painting the wall.. and as this is a relatively old hotel, it surely must have been there for years! Nevertheless I would choose it again.

The hotel service was outstanding. It is in a very convenient location with the metro station approx 5 minute walk directly opposite the hotel and 10 minute walk to Jumeriah Beach. The hotel room was cleaned on a daily and the bed was really comfortable. Only downfall is the kitchen cabinet was hanging down, I think the apartment need a little modernising. Although, that was a downfall the stay overall was amazing. Air con throughout the hotel and room.

The only good point this property was near the Metro

the bad point is the room we were first given was the size of a cupboard. Not as you see in the pictures. We had to complain and the other 2 choices were only slightly better but needed redecorating. Kitchen cupboards broken fridge old and noisy. the room was disappointing we know they had decorated rooms but said hotel is booked. I will not rebook this hotel again.

Great location, good value for your money, close to metro station, Marina walk, restaurants, beach, Marina Mall, supermarkets; needs some cosmetic repairs. Good amenities, including fully equiped kitchenette, washing mashine; ask for drying cloth rack if you need. Very friendly and responsive staff- ready to help at any time and provide good cleaning. We stayed for two weeks in a comfortable studio apartment on 8th floor (non-smoking) and enjoyed our extended stay. Special thanks to staff member Aslam- nice, caring, friendly young man!

This property was a disaster. It is not marketed properly. The rooms are old, I changed appartments twice and both have sound issues due to the windows not fitting properly, the design is old and the kitchen is basic with no finishing touches. The wifi also is archaic and does not work properly. It is a 2.5 star property at best.

After paying for this expensive hotel for 18 nights, the extra single bed brovided was uncomfortable. When my family decided to stay an extra night, the manegement tried to charge them more than duble the night price for a smaller room { studio}. When my fafily objected they didnt care. My fafilly had to move for anothe hotel.

Positives : the staff are lovely , housekeeping , reception and pool staff are all very attentive .
Location is great , easy to walk to the marina , close to transport connections and supermarkets all around .
Nice pool area which gets the sun all day .

Not so good: My room wasn’t great . Classed as a deluxe studio but it’s the smallest room I have ever stayed in in Dubai . There were ants everywhere in the bathroom and kitchen area .
The hot water situation was poor . Never any hot water at night or morning for a shower and the water pressure was rubbish .
Minimum utensils and crockery in the kitchen area and no washing up liquid or cleaning things provided .

To sum up , it’s good if you’re after basic .

worst place I've ever stayed. bed bugs a first night. management denying the situation. moved my room but the quality is so deceiving from online. flies all over breakfast. had a package delivered to the hotel very important for work and the hotel concierge declined it and turned it back although I told them to hold it and was a guest. when my room was made up the cleaners would forget toilet paper, basic things, and the phone didn't operate. do not stay here.

Had an amazing stay at the Marina view hotel apartment... all tourist spits close withing walking distance or via taxi... hotel clean .... try and book at sea view or beach side room as opposed to city view as sometime noise can interruot sleep... food at resturant was lovely and room service was brilliant ... stafff friendly and polite and very accomadating... lovely gift shop in hotel to grab ur goodies for family.... lovely area... close to jbr ... can walk or taxi.. overall it was a brilliant apartment ... such a great help with the washing machine... would defo recommend booking its worth it.

So we booked 3 adults , 1 bed apartment , thinking that logic for one person they prepare bed in living room , maybe sofa bed anything . To our huge surprise we been told we could have booked for 5 adults we would still only get 1 bed ??? I mean how can I make a booking for 3 adults ( my son is third ) and get 1 double bed ?? Out of my understanding . And then they asked me extra cash per night to bring additional bed . Not nice communication in the reception . Only good is location .

Having stayed in many short term lets in various parts of Dubai, I definitely rate this hotel highly for value for money and location. My room was excellent and the location is great, beach a short walk away, metro nearby etc. Connectivity was also excellent, thus enabling me to work from the hotel room at no additional data cost and on occasion the staff printed 1-2 page documents at no additional cost. Overall, the staff were attentive. My only slight negative is that when I'd thought I'd lost some jewellery and looked behind/under bed it was apparant that only what was visible waa cleaned before I took possession of my room. Overall, very pleased and will stay again

We had a confirmed reservation for 3 adults and one child for the one-bedroom apartment, but there was only one bed in the apartment. Upon checkin I was told we were supposed to share the existing facilities (!). We requested a rollway cot, which was quite expensive and only fit one person. In the end, one of my daughters wound up sleeping on the floor or on the couch. Too bad, because this hotel has some good things going for it, is in a good location and the pool area is quite nice.
