We spent an incredible week at Arina hotel in October , 2025. The room on the first line was spacious and clean, the seaside view and a private pool & sun beds were great.
The reception team Natia, Giorgios and all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The evening shows were a real fun especially with entertainment team, dancers and performers. Appreciated that, as there was literally nothing to do or to go to outside the hotel
The food at main restaurant was diverse and delicious, and huge props to the restaurant manager Giorgio and all the staff for their hard work.
Many thanks to the superstar bartenders for the perfect service. Marina, Olga, Myrto, Dimitri, Panagiotis- cheers
I'd highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and fun getaway. Thank you Arina Hotel, hope to come back soon.

Property is nice, close to the airport, a lot to do for kids. Nice water rides, beach was great, clean pools, hard working staff, good food selection but was a little repetitive after 3 days. Check-out time is at 11am and they would not extend to 12 or 12:30pm. Just be aware in case your flight is late and have kids.

Staff were amazing and even upgraded us with no extra charge. I fell ill and they did everything to help medically. All the staff were kind including bar staff and cleaners. The kids entertainers were great with all the kids and really patient. Just sooooo impressed. Can’t fault the place at all. Happily go back there which is something we don’t usually do. Really happy.

Checkin was a breeze. They upgraded my room. Very clean. Our family enjoyed the many food options. Water was cold in April but kids loved the slides. Georgios at check in took extra care to make sure the chef knew of my son’s allergies. This property is well kept, and service was great.concierge gave great recommendations to see the area. Bus stop close by and airport very close

Hotel is a 15 minute taxi from airport and we arrived early. Delighted that we were able to access our room immediately and even had a complementary upgrade. We can honestly recommend the swim up rooms, and location right on beachfront was amazing.
The mini bar only sticks a small selection of fizzy soft drinks and a couple of bottles of still water. So don’t expect wine or beer!
Staff were without fail polite and helpful.
Thank you so much for making our stay so relaxing and lovely.

Hotel is really pleasing on the eye, very welcoming arrival at Reception! View from our penthouse room was incredible, such amazing sunset views.

The downfall for us was the food, apart from the Asian Restaurant which was incredible. The other food areas did offer much variety or flavour.

The pool areas were great but very very cold.

The evening entertainment could have been a lot better to engage more of the hotel stayers but overall our stay was nice.

Check-in was excellent and the receptionist were welcoming , however as soon as we entered the rooms we noticed tiny moths, no hand soap and dirty sheets, which we then complained to the reception team too. They helped with the sheets but failed to eliminate the moths and gave us a bar soap for our hands.
Overall the facilities were great with good amenities, but what frustrated us was they refused to turn on the tennis court lights when it got dark (for no apparent reason).
The food was mostly tasteful but cold and the service was very non challant.
Overall I rate the place a 3/5

All-inclusive catering to large tour groups. Food is average and certainly not 4 star. Rooms are clean but lack duvets, just a single bedsheet, and the fire safety light gives the room a bright green glow that you cannot lower; greatly disturbing sleep. The staff are very nice, but I just can't recommend the hotel as a 4 star. It's 2 at best.

Excellent hotel. Location was good and on-site facilities were good. Range of food was excellent but not as hot as I like it on occasions. All drinks at bars were strong and served speedily. Would choose to return so it must have been good !!

The main restaurant and pool complex were great, the restaurants were both excellent and the staff were brilliant.

The rooms were a disappointment, the rooms shown on the web site are in the main hotel block and I assume quite new. The bungalows are older and are in need of an upgrade.

When we booked the hotel website said there was a kids pool. This has since been changed and there is no kids pool. This was disappointing as the main pool has no children's area and is not heated, so quite cold for infants.

The photos of the rooms online are misleading as the rooms are quite old and the bathrooms are very rundown.

The cats running around the restaurant is very off putting and also all of the cats around the hotel, all we could smell when walking to our room was cat urine not nice.

Hotel was ok but not the 4 stars I was expecting, we felt disappointed.

Brilliant food at buffet. Chef and concierge staff very attentive. Waiting and bar staff could have been more enthusiastic... felt a little like they didn’t want to be there! Brilliant pool and activities. A little playground or slide for the kids would be great, but then it was also nice that the Kids stuff was low key or there would have been more of them running around! Room was lovely, great view and the maids were very friendly and did an excellent job! Overall a brilliant stay and I would go back again!

Beautiful views of the coastline from a fantastic beach. Swimming conditions were great and beach chairs were accomodating!! The food was very well thought out and cooked for buffet style. Also just a short walk up the road, there were some excellent restaurants either on the main drag or by the sea. Nice to get out and experience some of the culture and authentic eats. Thank you to all the staff

This property though small in size and lacking much besides the pools for the kids was excellent. It was clean and tidy, modern and provided everything we needed for a two week holiday. Not sure what I would provide in the low season when the pools/sea aren't warm enough for swimming.

We usually don't write many reviews but are making an exception this time for Arina beach resort . Have had an absolutely amazing time there,for many reasons like a top notch- all inclusive buffet,perfect ambience and location, lovely and clean pools,excellent staff to name a few.A perfect family holiday destination,would really recommend it. Cleanliness and general maintenance is great,caters to guests of all ages.A convenient shop indoors stocked with regular essentials,spa facilities,live entertainment every night were definitely appreciated.
In short-a five star experience !!

Had a lovely stay, Riene in particular in the restaurant was fantastic and very caring - a credit to the hotel. The rooms were slightly outdated but the facilities made up for it. The food and drink were lovely. Serious incident on the beach highlighted that the hotel need to update their health and safety policy and it did take the shine off the rest of the stay.

We were delighted by staying in a completely new renovated room with separate pool wich was absolutely great. Hotel pool is big and spacious but you have to be into the Entertainment (water gym/fun and loud music) several times a Day. Located on a Nice Beach good for smaller kids on one side (lagoon) as water here is shallow. All inclusive concept works very well - huge buffet with wellknown kid friendly meals. Only but is the noise of numerious planes passing at low height over the resort to land in Heraklion airport. Overall a very pleasant experience.

This hotel had amazing food and the servers were very nice and friendly. The only issue me and my friend had with this location was with the entertainment team, we thought it was weird that they were allowed to drink alcohol while working. One time, people believed they were intoxicated during a magic show. Another thing we found different was on sundays they get the day off, which obviously everyone should be allowed, but they were drinking on the beach/pool with guests. Other than that resort was clean and food was tasty !

Decent hotel, but poor food.

I'll start with the positives: the room had a great view, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the beach was absolutely lovely. The rooms and facilities in general are kept quite clean and things were generally in good repair.

That said, we were overall disappointed in our stay. The shower in our room was under-powered and under-heated; the bed was uncomfortable and, instead of being a king as we requested, was just 2 twins pushed together.

And, most importantly, the food was abysmal. We stayed for 4 nights, during which time, not one dinner was good. Even on the Greek theme night, which you'd think would be their specialty, everything was either mushy or hard as a rock and all completely bland. The a la Carte restaurant may have been better than the buffet -- but they were booked up more than a week in advance, so we never got to try it. (Who is staying at this place long enough to book that far out?!)

Given the great beach and overall quality of the facilities, the place is a decent value. But if you stay here, do yourself a favor, and plan on eating some (if not most) of your meals elsewhere.

Booked this stay last minute as our ferry ship was cancelled. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom shower pressure was nice. The food was excellent and had many choices. We ate the breakfast buffet twice, the lunch once and booked a reservation at the fancy dining area. The service was speedy and polite. The beach area was nice and clean. The pool area was huge with lots of seating for sun bathing. All in all a very nice stay.

The staff - in every position - was friendly and helpful with high service level. The room was very clean, every day! The restaurant had a grade range of delicious food (really supreme taste) and every night a different cuisine theme buffet was offered. At the bars (main and pool) you can find a variety of drinks and cocktails. The pool was crystal clear with plenty of sun beds. The activities were funny and the night -live music- entertainment amazing. Outside the hotel there's a bus stop ( in case you don't have/rent a car). Ideal for families, kids, couples and friends at any age!

Our overall stay was nice. The room size and AC were a definite plus. The cleanliness of the room however was terrible, the bathroom in particular. The tub had visible soap and water scum and looked like I hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The toilet seat was dirty when we checked in as well. The vent in the bathroom had dust caked on it and clearly hasn’t been dusted off in months. The bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony with sea view was better than I expected. The beach was also nice. It had a bunch of seaweed compared to other beaches on Crete but overall was beautiful. The hotel was close to the airport and you can hear planes while relaxing on the beach.
The food, drinks and alcohol that was included was decent considering the cost per night and being all you can eat and drink.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was really nice too.
I personally would not stay at this hotel again because in it cleanliness and location but if you are looking for something all inclusive and inexpensive this would be a good choice.

Great location, staff and facilities. Room was kept very clean by the staff and they were all courteous. The buffet style food was tasty and regularly topped up to ensure there wasn't empty servings.
If I had a complaint it was that there were never enough staff on the hotel bars. Guests regularly had to queue to get drinks and this was still the case in the evenings when there were even more guests wanting to order drinks. More than one person per bar was definitely needed.

Overall recommended.

Fairly standard hotel room, but cleaned and serviced to a high standard every day. Hotel facilities are excellent, as was food variety and quality. The pool is probably the best we've had. Only down side was the noise from the nearby dual carriageway.

It was very nice, loved the beach, hotel staff are excellent, happy and professional. Albi & Lestheri were my favourite barmen, made me my favourite drink every time. The location is perfect. Hotel was OK, has seen better days but was comfortable enough. Food was variable from very good to just OK depending on the day but you won't go hungry. Drinks not so good, the wine on tap isn't pretty awful and the beer lacks any real taste. What made it was the staff - whilst there were a couple of miserable faces there were several that really wanted to be there and look after you - Maria on reception and Irini in the restaurants for example. We would go back and are looking to already for next May however we'll take our own wine!

It was supposed to be our well deserved family holiday after a difficult year. The general impression of the hotel when we first arrived was rather depressing; grey concrete buildings, some greenery but very little colour. I was pleasantly surprised though and very grateful to be given a room and a possibility to have breakfast before the official check-in time. We were desperate for some rest after an all night journey. Sadly, the room turned out to be very disappointing. Basic furniture, small beds, a simple chair and a coffee table, bathroom clean but in need of some update and renovation. Kids were disappointed about the lack of WiFi signal in the room and the swimming pool which was on a smallish side and had sea water. We were determined to make the most of our week's holiday though and decided to go out as much as we could. The hotel location is excellent for that with easy access to Heraklion, a waterpark and an aquarium. Shops, restaurants and car rental places are all nearby. On the whole it was an enjoyable week and we managed to make the most of our holiday. We would probably chose a better hotel next time.

Budget hotel that should be rated 2-3 stars

We had a nice stay at the hotel but be warned that it is a budget all-inclusive hotel. The hotel should be only rated 2-3 stars. Our room was very clean but the hotel is very old and shows ugly wear and tear. The food is OK but you can tell that every single thing from the juice to desserts are cheap quality.

The beach in front of the hotel is small and dirty. It would be fine if someone cleaned it but it was dirty from the people and large amount of seaweed. We used two beaches that are adjacent to the hotel. The one on the left with a Beach club is the best, only 2 minute walk and free if you buy drinks.

The staff were very nice. The kids disco was really fun for our 6 years old but I was not comfortable with the kids club as there is no system for signing in and out and not much accountability at the pool. We used the spa to get massages. They were really good for the exception of the fact that there is only one massage room and there are two tables in it. So if they spa is booked you will have another strange person laying next to you...not the most relaxing situation.

The hotel is very close to the airport which is a plus after a flight but it is not in a very nice area of the island. We rented a car and spend 3 days driving around finding beautiful beaches and nice villages.

Overall if you are looking for a budget all-inclusive it will suffice. But if you are expecting a 4 start hotel, like it is rated, you will be disappointed.

Honeymoon in Crete

My wife and I went to the Aquis Arina Sand for our honeymoon and it couldn't have been a better experience. Not only is it in picturesque Heraklion with it's perfect sunsets, peaceful atmosphere and warm clean sea, but the staff and all that we met there are lovely, accommodating people. From the second we got there the staff was very kind and took us to our bungalow on the sea which had a complimentary bottle of Crete bubbly and a fruit plate. It was a very nice touch to start off our honeymoon after a long 19 hour trip to get there from our home in Canada.

The next 9 days were filled with awesome food from around the world, pleasant staff interactions, and relaxing time spent by the pool and sea. While we were there to just relax and unwind, there was plenty of activities offered at little or no cost at all. The resort has an arcade, pool & ping pong tables, as well as rentals of jet skis, paddle surfing boards and even parasailing.

The 'Animation Team' is terrific. They put on activities and shows every night such as traditional Greek dancing, performance art and dance parties. Throughout the day they are seen greeting guests and ensuring everyone is having a good time as well as running beach volleyball, water polo and other activities.

I could go on a lot more about our terrific experience there, but will sum up my review by saying it was a pleasure to be there and would recommend it to anyone. Crete is beautiful, and the people there are lovely.

This is not a 4 star hotel !

We arrived to this presumed 4 star hotel and instantly understood that we are not going to stay. This is a very basic hotel, this hotel good days are long been forgotten. Even the staff is indifferent. The room is basic and undermaintained. We tried to cancel the reservation with the help of expedia but the hotel stuff could not help and there was no manager to speak to! Amazing! We found a better hotel and after one unpleasant night left to a great hotel.

Stunning location

The reception staff were very helpful giving us ideas for sightseeing trips. Providing us with DVDs and games such as My Rummy, Scrabble and Tripple Dominoes. Also played Tennis, Table Tennis and Air Hockey. Best of all was the chance to take a dip in the sea water as the beach was at the end of the hotel.
The restaurant staff including the manager, chef and catering staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Die Hotelanlage ist in einem tadellosen Zustand. Alles ist sehr sauber und sehr gut gepflegt.
Das Personal ist jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Das Essen war immer sehr umfangreich und sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Buffetauswahl war riesig und täglich gab es unterschiedliche Themenabende.
Am Tage gab es immer ein Programm für jung und alt, sowie am Abend ein Unterhaltungsprogramm mit Musik, Akrobaten und Show.
Die beiden Themenrestaurants könnten aus meiner Sicht ein wenigvielfältigere Kost anbieten, zumindest das asiatische Restaurant. Das war von der Auswahl nicht so sehr viel.
Ein kleines Manko ist eventuell die Liegenanzahl am Strand und Poolbereich.
Am Strand sollte zumindest noch mehr Liegen aufgestellt werden, da es immer zu wenige gab, wenn man nicht gerade am Vormittag kam.
Das Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert!

This is truly a great hotel for people looking for a full inclusive stay.

Personnel is very qualified and helpful. Everyone is also very nice and attentive to details.
Everything is remarkably clean and cleaning crew deserves nothing but praises.
The food is also truly surprising by its quality, very fresh, tasteful and a gigantic choice. The buffet changes a bit everyday and there are options for any diet. The buffet is actually so good that both 'a la carte' restaurants feel underwhelming in comparison.

Very good option for families with young children as there are water slides, pools everywhere, games, quality activities every nights and a gigantic beach.
The tiny gym is functional but not remarkable.

The only real downside to know before you go there is that planes fly almost above the hotel to land in Heraklion. Noise is not overwhelming but you hear it clearly. It gets a bit annoying on the long run as they are very frequent during the day.

Overall a wonderful stay.

Très bel hôtel avec des belles infrastructures il est grand et on a pas l impression d être les uns sur les autres.peu de clientèle francophone essentiellement des anglais et allemands. Mieux vaut avoir quelques notions d anglais! Le petit bémol par ce qu il y en a un: la nourriture !que nous n avons pas trouvé top top comme on a pu le lire dans d autres commentaires. On
Sait les français sont chiants avec la bouffe … mais pour avoir fait un autre club en crete on y a mieux mangé. Donc un petit effort sur la nourriture pour séduire les français et ce sera le top. Je tenai aussi à remercier Arina beach pour la délicate attention surprise qu a reçu ma fille pour son anniversaire elle a eu droit à un gâteau monté en chambre pour ses 14 ans. Sinon cet hôtel est top bien situé mais il vaut mieux louer une voiture pour aller explorer les environs, un bureau de location est disponible au sein de l hôtel 😉

Excellent hôtel pour un voyage en amoureux

Ce séjour était vraiment excellent ! L’hôtel est très beau, les communs sont bien entretenus et le buffet est varié !
Je tiens à vraiment remercier Mathéo, Marina et Costa pour les bons moments, Yamas !! Merci aussi à Valinho et Galin pour les animations, ils nous ont vraiment fait apprécié notre séjour !!
Je recommande vraiment cet hôtel, nous avons passé un très bons séjour en Mai, au pieds de la plage.
Seul petit point négatif : il n’y a pas d’endroit spécifique pour les fumeurs, il y a donc des fumeurs à la piscine ….

Le resort est très propre tout est neuf. Grand choix d'espaces baignades avec bars, musique ou au calme si on préfère. Les enfants ont 2 piscines avec toboggans à dispo. La restauration est parfaite, le choix au buffet est très complet et les plats chauds différents et variés à tous les repas. Aucun risque de se lasser...
Le personnel est accueillant et avenant, rien à redire tout le monde est très serviable.
Juste une remarque, la plage à côté du complexe est d'une saleté sans nom, pleine de détritus, verre, plastiques etc... Impossible d'aller s'y promener.

Rundum ein empfehlenswertes Hotel. Wir haben uns noch nie so wohl im Urlaub gefühlt.
Das Essen und Getränke hätten nicht besser sein können. Alles swhr hochwertig und mit Öiebe zubereitet.
Unser Zimmer war richtig schön und sauber.
Das Personal war uneingeschränkt hilfsbeteit und freundlich.
Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist sehr gepflegt und einfach schön.
Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen!

l'accueil est plutôt froid, personnel du bar un peu arrogant, ambiance du resto ressemble à celui d'une cafétéria.

Nous avions une chambre avec piscine donnant sur la mer, extraordinaire, le buffet déjeuner est super, les snacks au resto de la plage excellents, et la nourriture du restaurant à la carte digne d'un bon restaurant, les portions sont très généreuses.

Transferzeit von Flughafen sehr kurz, ca. 15 Minuten. Jedoch ist das Hotel auch in der Einflugschneise des Flughafens, was zu Fluglärm führt. Diesen haben wir jedoch nicht weiter als störend empfunden.

Leckeres, hochwertiges Essen & Getränke. Im A-la-Carte-Restaurant jedoch teils extrem lange Wartezeiten. Vor allem beim Frühstück. Im Asia-Restaurant war das Sushi hervorragend!

Toll ist die direkte Strandlage. Jedoch ist der Strand nicht sonderlich breit und die Liegen stehen teils im Wasser.
Es sind jedoch zur jeder Zeit Liegen am Poll und Strand verfügbar.

Wir hatten ein Penthouse-Zimmer, welches schön eingerichtet und sauber war mit großartigem Meerblick. Leider war auf dem Dach über dem Zimmer ein Filteranlage o.ä., welche tagsüber durchgehend laut zu hören war. Das war sehr störend und wurde trotz mehrmaliger Beschwerden leider nicht behoben.

Service was very good. Foods were better than average all inclusive. Facilities were good as renovated but little problems with maintenance. Shower handle adjusting temp and flow dropped and didn’t stay on place. Room lock tongue was not lubricated as got stuck many times so that room didn’t lock when closing door. Elevator inner door didn’t open many times when ordering to ground floor. Also was strange how only one hanger in bathroom so needed to put towels drying all over the room

Bungalow absolument daté, sales et mal entretenus. Vous y trouverez des fourmis, paillons de nuits, lézards...bref tout une vie animale.
L'accueil et la réception sont biens. Le bâtiment ouest est complètement défraîchi et ne fait pas envie. Le restaurant (immense) sert de la nourriture très moyenne.

Nice stay by the sea

The hotel has a lot of nice outside lounges where you can enjoy the sea. The beach is family friendly. Unfortunately there was no pool for children which it says on Hotels.com, and which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel.
Lots of different kinds of food - but the meat, pasta and vegetables were often overcooked because it was buffet style.

В целом 7.7 из 10.
Брали номер с видом на море в основном здании, номера требуют ремонта, напоминают пансионат. И очень мало места для 2-х взрослых и ребёнка.
Вся техника в номере работала, уборка устраивала. Персонал доброжелательный.
Отдельно хочу отметить еду: готовят хорошо, выбор разнообразный, очень вкусные десерты.
Один большой бассейн с морской водой( не подогреваемый).
Береговая линия на 3 с плюсом: водоросли.
В целом отель подходит для семей с детьми и для молодых пар не ищущих тусовок. Отель расположен в 15 минутах на машине от аэропорта Ираклиона.
В 10 минутах на машине от отеля находится аквапарк( 27 евро с человека вход). Курсирует автобус от аквапарка, в принципе можно добраться на автобусе. И важно отметить аквапарк не предоставляет полотенец.
