Loved my stay! Staff was great!

Staff were brilliant, particularly, Concy. Room a little bit of a health hazard due to raised floor around bed. A little TLC needed we felt as room was looking a little bit tired. Veranda tiles needed relaying in areas. Enjoyed our stay but felt it was not quite up to the standards being charged. Also DIY work going on across the road at an adjacent house being renovated which created noise most days.

This was our second stay and it was again a fantastic experience. Camps Bay is a beautiful part of Cape Town with views of Table mountain behind and the Atlantic Ocean in front. The POD is in an excellent position n within east safe walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the room we had clean and functional even though it was small. The breakfast was wonderful and the pool and bar have stunning views. We will be back!

POD Camps Bay is nice slice of luxury just off the beaten path. The area is very alive with things to do, shops and restaurants of all types. The property sits just across the street from the beach. The service was top notch; even before our arrival, staff coordinated our getting to the hotel and accommodated different check-in times. They left a gift in our room for our anniversary. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. What really blew me away was when I tried to order dinner from a local restaurant during our stay for room delivery. The restaurant was unable to accommodate, and POD's staff then took it upon themselves to have the kitchen whip up EXACTLY what I'd ordered. Amazing. Would 100 percent recommend.

My boyfriend and i had such a lovely stay at POD Camps Bay and my only regret was not staying longer. We got automatically upgraded upon checking in and had a room with a view of both the mountains and the ocean. The location could not have been better in regards to being in Camps Bay. The hotel offered so many additional amenities such as free wine in the mini fridge (!!). The person at the front desk booked us a very last minute taxi ride to the airport at an extremely reasonable price. Lovely staff, lovely hotel, lovely location!

I was treated to a room upgrade on arrival which definitely helped make it a memorable stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and highly attentive. From the ground floor, the ocean view was mostly obstructed by the block of flats opposite but considering I didn’t even pay for a sea view this didn’t get in the way of my enjoyment. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed and plenty of freebies are thrown in. It took only 30 seconds to walk to the beach. I strongly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the POD hotel in Camps Bay. The front desk and bar staff were extremely welcoming and helpful during our stay. We had a plunge pool room with a view which we very much enjoyed. The ocean view from the hotel bar served as a perfect back drop for relaxing lounging during our stay. Beautiful hotel with very caring staff right across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. We came back one day late in the afternoon exhausted from a day of hiking Table Mountain and said we were going to watch a movie and relax for a bit. The staff brought us popcorn and hot chocolate — the cherry on top of a wonderful stay!

Modern, sleek furnishings and design, location a block off the shoreline of Camps Bay and the beach, walking distance from all the great spots to dine, and a staff that is just terrific. A nice extra touch is when you feel like hanging out in the hotel room at night and watch a movie, there are hundreds of free movies at the front desk to grab and take to the room, and the staff is gracious to deliver popcorn and hot chocolate to the room as often as you need a fix. Honestly, the staff makes this place even better, as they are very nice and pleasant. Breakfasts are also excellent. One of the best boutique hotels we stayed in during our South Africa trip. Highly recommended! *****

We LOVED our stay at POD Camps Bay! The location was perfect (right by the water, walkable to a lot of beach front dining, etc.). The hotel itself is gorgeous, the room was perfect...but the real highlight was the staff. They anticipated things we might need before we even asked (water in our cars for a day of sight seeing, popcorn and hot coco delivered to our room for a little movie night, etc.). They even took my sister on a hike with them! I can not say enough good things about this place. We were sad to leave!

Arrived earlier than the official check in time to be met by the friendliest hotel reception we have ever experienced! The reception area itself was stunning, great views over the beach and a relaxing bar to watch the sunsets. Everywhere was spotless, very modern and comfortable. Our room (202) was great, with views of the mountains from one side of the balcony and the beach on the other. I could have sat on the balcony all day to be honest (the room came with a fridge stocked with beer and a bottle of white wine!). The hotel has a great location, just a short stroll away from bars and restaurants along the promenade. Very handy for a nice run along the shore road too (I went out for 5k - along to Bantry Bay and back - felt very safe despite being on my own).
Reception made great recommendations for activities and offered to book these up for us, kept us informed of availability and weather conditions. Couldn't ask for better service really.
If we ever return to Camps Bay, we will definitely stay at POD again.

POD is located in the heart of Camps Bay and is beautifully decorated - very modern. Our room was luxurious with a large and very comfortable bed, huge shower, terrace, great amenities - including a complementary mini-bar which was well stocked. The communal areas and pool were just as luxurious. Breakfast was excellent. And the staff were very friendly and were available to help with anything (including parking the car as the car park is quite difficult but the staff were fantastic!)

Take care to ensure that you book a room with a balcony. If you are given a room without a balcony, there are very little windows and it is very tiny and uncomfortable. the room may say mountain view but if it does not have a balcony, you have to stand on the bed to see the mountain.

The hotel was stunning with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains. The hotel was located in a very high end exclusive area of cape town. The ocean was only two blocks away. The staff was extremely helpful and was always on hand to give suggestions or help arrange something for the guest to see or do.
