One wing of the hotel needs work bad. The lights are very difficult to turn off. I couldn’t get my bathroom light to ever go out. Had to just shut the door so I could sleep.

First time at this hotel and rooms are large and clean. We only stayed one night, but found the staff to be very friendly and helpful ...one even kept my wallet safe when I left it behind! Will choose this hotel again!

I Have Learned To Lower My Expectations.
The staff is wonderful and friendly! They greet you and smile often. My only complaints are about the room, jacuzzi hours and gym locations. The room looked nothing like the pictures. In fact, it was dated. For instance, there was a swiveling base for an old, tube-style TV, bolted onto the dresser.As for the jacuzzi, the hours are limited, and it is closed on Sunday. It was the reason picked that hotel. Lastly, the gyms are in other buildings, which is not very convenient.

Hotel was clean and friendly and central as I am a Finn and from Jyväskylä I wanted to be in centre of town as my sister’s have small apartments so me and my English husband booked the Alexandra for second time and I also held my big birthday party there some years ago, it was a full success.
Nevertheless I wish to point out the following ;

TV didn’t have any English or World services channels, we found that unusual and disappointing!
Hotel Breakfast was very good but missed a little bit of variation as we stayed 7 days!!
Hotel restaurant evening menus were not so varied as before in previous years !!

Although the hotel doesn't look impressive from outside, it is quite nice in the rooms for this price range. The location is great and the reception was very helpful and polite. The breakfast could have been a bit better (more choices) but other than that the experience was very good.

The current \"old\" area of the hotel is not longer acceptable. The room is worn and less maintained. It's time for a refurbishment. The price no longer corresponds to the expected quality. I guess the new rooms are better, but I didn't have access.

Hyvät vuoteet, tyynyjä riittävästi. Huone oli viileähkö, mutta se auttoi nukkumaan hyvin. Ilmastointi suihkussa piti sen kuivana ja viileähkönä. Yövyimme vanhalla puolella., koska talo oli uudella puolella täynnä. Pieni yöpöytä toisen vuoteen laidalla mahdollisti cpap-laitteen käytön täydellisesti, koska verkkovirtapistokkeet olivat lähellä. Yövyimme itseasiassa kaksi yötä, yksi Booking.comin kautta, toinen varattiin hotellista matkasuunnitelman muututtua. Yöpyminen onnistui samassa huoneessa. Hotellin vanhalle puolelle johti yhdyskäytävä. Hissin kanssa oli välillä sekaannus, kun ei muistanut yhdyskäytävää ja mentiin ulkokautta. Hissi jumitti la iltana, mutta menimme portaita. Vastaanotto oli sydämellinen, aamiainen hyvä ja paljon erilaista syötävää. Tykkäsin erityisesti kuumasta maidosta kahviin, hedelmistä, smoothieista, ohrapuurosta sekä emmental-juustosiivuista. Kahvi oli hyvää.

Huomautus hotelliyöstä
Huoneistossa oli tosi kylmä. Receptioista kysyttäessä onko lämmitys päällä vastauksena oli \"On kai\". Yritimme kaikilla säädöillä mutta peseytymisestä jäi tosi ikävä fiilis kylmässä kylppärissä. Ammeessa ja tasolla oli PITKIÄ mustia hiuksia, jotka kietoutuivat ikävästi kosteaan ihoon ja niitä pois ottaessa ne kietoutuivat aina eri kohtaan. Peilissä oli kiinni tahmea karkki liimautuneen/sylkäistynä.
Yöpöydän pölyiin pystyi kirjoittamaan!
Lähtiessä asioista mainitessani saimme hyvitykseksi kahvin ja teen, mitkä valitettavasti eivät korvanneet pettymystä. Olimme hotellissanne muutama vuosi sitten ja silloin kaikki oli ok.

Kiva perushotelli loistavalla sijainnilla junalla matkustaville ainakin. Huone siisti, ns. normi hotellihuone. Tyynyvalikoima ihan huippuhyvä, naurattaa vieläkin \"tyynysota\" :D Hyvä aamiainen, kaikkia herkkuja riittävästi, pekonin rapeus oikea. Aamiainen oli porrastettu, mutta klo 9 oli todella paljon ihmisiä, vaikea pitää turvavälit näin korona-aikana.
