Room was filthy. Staff at front desk was nice, but the room smelled terrible and was dirty and moldy. Walls were paper thin, and fighting neighbors kept me up all night. Was glad it was only a one night stay.

The bathroom had spots of either paint or dye on it. Some red paint on the wall in the room. The Staff April was really nice and was able to help me. The parking was on ok lots of lights in the front. A nice outside space.

Not sure if it’s supposed to be included but no iron or ironing board which I needed. No ice bucket no coffee maker.

That was comfortable room was clean. Bathroom was clean. I would stay there again. I use the laundry facilities, which was great.

The room was clean, although the table was kind of sticky, but I wiped that down and took care of the problem.

The typical \"reworked\" motel - some sad fixes, particularly in the bathroom, but I wasn't looking for 5-star amenities. I just needed some place to shower and sleep to save me a 3 hour ride home and back for a 2-day job I was doing in the area. Not the \"best\" but certainly not the \"worst.\"

The guy at check-in was pleasant. I am not sure why I entered all that info online only to have to write it down at check-in.

Convenient location. Good value. I would stay there again.

I used to stay here every year, but this was my first visit in 8 or 9 years. There is an ice machine, but no ice bucket in the room. It is near a train track and the trains blow their horns at all hours of the night. The manager, Les, has been there for years and is very nice and professional.

The rooms were dirty. The 1st room dmelled pretty bad according to my wife and also had a broken tv. The broken TV is what got them to put us in another room. The 2nd room had a pair of dirty socks right on the floor at the foot of the bed. The whole bathroom was pretty dirty as a whole. I could have stayed at the hotel we stayed at previously but I thought what the hey, I'll pay double the price at the other hotel and get something nice....Boy was I wrong. I was not happy with our stay here

April was so rude. When I checked out and got to my car I noticed I didn’t have my car keys. I went back to the front office and asked April can I go back to the room and get my car keys. SHE LITERALLY SAID NO. I was very confused almost like she was joking but I knew she wasn’t because she has an attitude and uses her facial expressions to get under your skin. I asked a second time… APRIL SAID NO LEAVE. I Left sat on the trunk of vehicle for almost an hour until room service went in the room and I asked her to grab them. Besides the people around there being homeless sleeping by the dumpster and asking you to buy drugs and walking around ALL NIGHT I did find a roach ONLY ONE But still unacceptable. I’ve never been treated or experienced such an experience before. That lady is mentally ill and needs to learn customer service adequate.

I’ve stayed at this site a number of times over the years. I know its not and don’t expect it to be a 5 star experience. I know its an old property. But this visit was really different than all the others. The room stank of something undefinable. There were stains on the walls that seemed as though they were ‘dripping’. The floor had a burn from an iron and there wasn’t an iron supplied with the room. The mattress was extremely uneven. This room was right next to a room that from the hall sounded like an A/c equipment room, but from our room it sounded like a jet powered lawn mower. And to top it off at 6am on a Saturday i woke to the screams of a woman being being in the rooms below. Once a classic and nostalgic property has fallen into disgrace. Its a shame.

LACKING AMENITIES

A few things I was disappointed with. First - no coffee maker. Thank God Dunkin Donuts was right next door. I put the coffee in the refrig. In the morning, the coffee was froze solid. Thank God there was a microwave. Lastly, I was very disappointed in the shower. Evidently two things had fallen off the wall and were never replaced. Also no grab bars and the tub/shower was slippery.

This was a great stay for my trip. I liked the retro feel of the glass and stairs making me remember when I was a kid staying at Howard Johnson's. My only complaint was the guests down stairs who stayed up talking loudly all evening and all morning even when staff asked them to be quiet. Made my night sleeping awful but they should have kicked them out

Breakfast is only a granola bar, orange juice and coffee. There are some unsavory characters that may be hanging out around this hotel. The people in the room next to me were noisy, awake and talking loudly outside at midnight, 2am, 4am…etc. The mattress needs to be replaced, it’s horrible. It sags so much on the sides that you can’t even sit on it.

Showed up to the property late at night, (let staff know prior to the day of arrival it was a late flight) front desk gave me a key card, went to my room only to wake 4 people up at 230 am, who were sleeping in my room. They gave me a key to an occupied room.

Gave me a second key to a new room and it was filthy.
I originally booked for the entire week. We left and found a hotel for the remainder of our stay.
I couldn’t be paid to stay here.
Do not go by the Expedia reviews for this place it’s awful.

There were cockroaches in the bathroom (yes multiple). The carpet in the room turned the bottoms of our feet black within seconds of getting out of the shower. Multiple light fixtures didn’t work.

Worst of all neither the hotel or Expedia would refund us anything despite the terrible experience.

I was very disappointed with this property. Outdated, dirty bathroom, floor tiles filthy, no ports for phones, pool was full of leaves until we asked that it be cleaned, not to mention only a few lounge chairs. The shower curtain rod was hung wrong so the curtain just slipped to the center and water got everywhere… terrible water pressure. The sliding doors lock by a bar… which wasn’t in place when we arrived. I would never go to another Howard Johnson. Funny thing is I read reviews which seemed good… who is writing them?! The only redeeming thing about this property was the bed. It was decent.

Absolutely Disgusting – Do NOT Stay Here!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This is by far the most vile, disgusting motel I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. From the moment I walked in, I was hit with an unbearable stench—a mix of mildew, cigarette smoke, and something rotting. It was so bad I had to cover my nose just to check in.

The room itself was absolutely revolting. The carpet was sticky and stained, the walls were covered in grime, and the sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in weeks. I pulled back the covers and found hair and stains on the bed—beyond unacceptable. The furniture was old, scratched up, and covered in dust, and I wouldn’t even sit on the chair because it looked like it was crawling with bacteria.

The bathroom was even worse. Mold and mildew covered the shower walls, the drain was clogged, and the water pressure was non-existent. The smell of sewage lingered in the air, making it impossible to breathe. The towels were thin, stained, and smelled just as bad as the rest of the room. The shower curtain had black mold growing on it, and the toilet barely flushed.

I couldn’t even sleep because of the constant noise from outside and the uncomfortable, filthy bed. The walls are paper thin, so I heard everything from the next room, including what sounded like a domestic dispute and some extremely shady activity.

This place is a health hazard and should be shut down immediately. Do yourself a favor—STAY FAR AWAY

It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority, as the entire place felt neglected. I would not recommend staying here unless they make significant improvements. Definitely not worth the price.

I stayed 2 different weekends for softball tournaments. The first time had small black ants in the sink and occasionally on the beds.

2nd time no bugs in room at all. hotel is not top of the line but is great if looking to save money.

Homeless people we're running along the streets outside. On a busy road with tons of dining nearby, and only 5 to 10 minutes from the ocean was the same in
