We traveled to over five major cities in Japan and this hotel was our least favorite. The building is not kept up well as much as the other hotels we visited. It’s quite worn and even dirty in many areas. We accidentally booked a smoking room and that floor was bad (9th I believe). But most of the building we were in smelled like smoke. We were charged way more for a non smoking room. Check in staff was kind, morning staff was not. Not many amenities at all, not even pajamas which we’ve learned is regular practice at most Japan hotels. Sad experience.

Very grand looking 1st, 2nd, 3rd floors. Room itself is much to be desired. It was pretty worn down, and had an unpleasant smell. The bed was nice though.

The surrounding area is quite nice during the day, but becomes quite shady during the night.

Convenient location and easy access to the Hon-atsugi station on foot. I also used a share car which is parked in the parking lot of the hotel to move around the local area. It was also the reasons to stay at this hotel.

Be forewarned! When you cut the main light to the room off it kills electricity to the whole room. If you need electricity to run your CPAP or charge phones you should inquire at the front desk. My husband is an engineer and he couldn’t figure out how to keep the sockets on even. We woke to dead cellphones but thankfully early enough to not miss our reserved train seats!

Wonderful Stay

Nice hidden jem nestled a few blocks from the Hon-Atsugi Station. Staff was very friendly and could speak good English. The rooms were the largest I've stayed in while in Japan. It reminds me of the hotels back home in America. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area too!

Everything was excellent but the Wi-Fi that was not working inside the room.
After requesting the staff twice, nothing was done.
At the third time, after 2 days another gentleman authorized us to change to another room where the Wi-Fi was working fine.
It took them 2 days to solve my request, because the lady at the reception desk initially told us that all rooms were at the same way and when we changed to another room the Wi-Fi worked fine.

Great customer service and comfortable hotel

Initially the booking went wrong as the system showed that we asked for a smoking room. When we were at the room and realised the mistake, we requested for a change and the front staff willingly to make the chances which we were super pleased with. And the per day parking of 1200 yen helps to cut cost on parking as it allows from 1400hrs to 1100hrs next day.
The staff were friendly despite we have language barrier.
I am coming back to Atsugi next month and already planning to stay here again.

Considering it is supposed to be the best hotel in Honatsugi, the overall experience wasn’t too bad. Breakfast is good and various with plenty of choices. Talking about the rooms, the size is average for Japanese hotel rooms but the style is old and the furniture worn out. The bath smells like mold and I would recommend a renewal of the whole facility!

Resting on their Laurels?

It is probably the nicest place in the area, judging by how busy it was end of year events. Lots of partygoer’s. I had my 13 year old daughter with me. We arrived a little late so no parking left in the Hotel’s basement car park itself. We waited till a space opened up at the outdoor privately run lot nearby which the hotel is affiliated with. Checked in and went up to put our things down in the room on the eleventh floor then headed down to get dinner at the hotel buffet. Arrived to be told it just closed. A hint that restaurants were about to close would have been appreciated at check in but perhaps hoping for too much. Our room was a smoker’s room, the only one available when we booked. No nasty smell but the day curtains were dingy grey. We opened up the sofa bed and saw that the mattress cover was nasty, someone else’s young child perhaps? No one bothered to check it. We had to share the one bed in the room. The bathroom kit provided contained men’s hair spray so women on business trips are not their main clientele. The breakfast buffet was the nicest part of the stay.

The room was a good size for two people, bed was comfy, bathroom was a decent size. Room was cleaned well. Some of the staff members spoke decent English, though I spoke to most of them in Japanese anyway. I arrived too early to check in without incurring a fee, but they happily held my luggage free of charge while I made myself scarce until check-in time. All in all I was quite content with my stay and would stay at this hotel again.

Stay at Rembrandt Atsugi

Arrived at 21:30, reservation through Expedia seemed in order until I entered the room and realized they had given me a smoking room. The Expedia choice, in the dropdown indicated non-smoking and to be sure I even requested/entered non-smoking in the comment section of the booking page on Expedia. I called the front desk and requested to change my room, first reaction was that they do not have any available, and then they said they do NOT assign/confirm non-smoking room for Expedia reservations! After some insisting, they came up with a non-smoking room but slightly bigger room with a balcony, for which I had to pay an additional amount, not a big deal and worth it to avoid the smoke stench for a whole week! The room was very clean with everything in perfect working order, except no English speaking channels on the TV, but good choice of Japanese shows and cartoons, if you understand Japanese!! The remote control is in Japanese so hard to figure out what you can do with it, until a friend informed me to use a button that changes the satellite band and you can get a small, fuzzy CNN screen, but preferred reading the daily Japan Times for the news.

And the hotel has no gym facilities and no arrangements with outside gyms.

Hotel size and location combined make this the best choice of accommodation in Hon Atsugi. Restaurants in the hotel are expensive and over priced. Conveniently there are numerous eateries close by in addition to convenience stores. The hotel bar often closed for private parties - which is an inconvenience for hotel residents.

小田原　伊勢崎　のアクセス（自動車移動）で厚木に宿泊しました。周辺部は駅近でスーパーやコンビニ・飲食店も多く良かった。エグゼブティブツインという部屋に泊まったがちょっとした趣味時間（読書や旅行プランを立てたり）を過ごせて良かった。洗面台（ちょっと狭いが独立）やバス・トイレは過不足もなく十分でした。

講演日があり宿泊致しましたが、講演会は良かったのですが
お部屋の汚れがまずい！洗面台の汚れ等々あります。1人てましたがフェスタオルは1枚小さなタオルは無し、ルームに電話無しなど、残念でなりませんでした。古いのと汚れやシミはやれば薄くなった理、取れる。努力されるべきです。支配人は何本見られていないのでしょう！

急遽厚木でホテルが必要になりお世話になりました。良心的な値段で、小綺麗な部屋には洗濯機と冷蔵庫があったので長期滞在にも良さそうです。
寝室側には換気扇があったのですが、浴室にはなくシャワー後はずっと蒸し蒸しカビっぽい所だけ気になりました。

寝先、ベットの近くに電源がないのに気づき、延長コードを借りようとするが、部屋に電話もなく、レセプションに連絡したくてもわざわざエレベーター先の電話まで出なくてはいけな
い。延長コードを依頼するもレセプションまで取りに来るよう言われ、わざわざ外着に着替え取りに行くが、そこから延長コードを探し始める始末。全くホスピタリティのないホテルでがっかりした。

出張の際によく利用しています。
ホテルが古いため、ところどころ老朽化はありますが綺麗な方だと思います。
朝食はバイキング形式で、毎朝大体同じような種類ですが、それなりに種類が多いので連泊でも苦にならずにいただけます。
近隣のホテルと比較しても上位だと思います。

不満な点(設備なので改良は難しいですが)
風呂の換気が弱いため、しばらく湿気がすごいです。
ドライヤーも古いタイプのため、風量が弱く熱で乾かすようなタイプのもの。乾きづらいので髪の長い方は苦労すると思います。

慣れている方や、引き出しなど気にかける方なら迷いませんが、延長コードが引き出しにあることがわからないと、枕元でスマホの充電などはできません。
私も最初はクチコミで知りました。(ホテルからの案内は特になし)

急遽、泊まることになり格安で探して予約したホテルなのでアメニティ等も揃ってないかとドライヤー、シャンプー、パジャマ、タオル等を用意して行きましたが全て揃っており手ぶらでも泊まれる充実さでした。ビジネスホテルを利用するのが初めてだったのでドアの内側ロックもわからずフロントへ連絡したら直ぐに来てくれ一緒に説明して教えてくれたり、充電器も貸出してくれました。また機会があれば利用したいと思います。
