Quality aparthotel.

I have stayed in a few aparthotels on this trip and this was the best. Good kitchen facilities, clean, spacious room and I was lucky to get a nice view. Location not the best, but couldn’t fault it otherwise.

Honestly we wanted a decent 1 night stay as our flight will arrive after midnight and in the morning we headed on our final destination, so cheaper but decent was the idea.

This place had very nice receptionist and staff was nice, but the rooms are substandard, not touched in very many years, need refurb bad.

The hotel was ok but not worth the price. I thought it was located closer to the Vieux-Port. The hotel is close to the metro and it’s pretty easy to travel around. The hotel doesn’t offer daily cleaning and the AC turned on but didn’t seem to actually work, I had to open the window and o ended up getting bitten by mosquitoes.

Easy to find and close to the metro station and buses which means exploring Marseille port was super easy to do. Nothing really near the hotel but that’s wasn’t a problem with how easy the transport links were to use. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy. Considering we we’re near busy roads and hospital & lots of beeping. You couldn’t hear this at all in the rooms of the hotel which meant peaceful night sleep. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. we had breakfast here too. Perfect little stay with fiancé for a long weekend getaway exploring Marseille ☀️

Hipark by Adagio Marseille - Avoid

Apartment was dirty with worn out and stained furniture. The two rooms were supposed to be connected but weren't. On complaining we were moved to refurbished apartment but the level of decoration was not brilliant. In the end it was a comfortable stay but reception and corridor were dirty. I do not recommend anyone staying here.

It was a lovely stay, the rooms are quiet, no street noise. The room and bathroom was clean and the kitchenette with bar fridge was very useful. Perfect for comfort, includes all the essential facilities and if you're looking for somewhere quiet, some down to earth French culture and environment. Lovely views the mountains from the balcony.

Not a pleasent experience

What an awful experience. Would not recommend if you are traveling with family.
Our room was very Dirty and it looked like a scene from a crime movie. Full of stains that nobody has bothered to clean in years. We had to change room twice. Corridors smelled of cigarettes, dispite the fact that no smoking was allowed. Breakfast was disappointing to say the lease. Basic as basic can be. Bread, coffee, ham, and scrambled eggs were the highlight of our breakfast. Not!! So awful we dicided to check out early, despite the fact that we would loose money as we had to pay in advance of our stay. I have to be fair doe, staff were very helpful but that is as far as I would go.

Comfortable and clean hotel near Marseille centre

(on a busy late July visit) make sure you pay for the very secure underground parking upon arrival. It makes life so much easier. Was concerned before arrival of potential noise pollution during the night (given the large hospital opposite) but with the windows shut you could not hear a pin drop. Air con was amazing throughout, bed was very comfy. The Lidl 5 mins walk away was also very handy. I would highly recommend Hipark Marseille to anyone looking to stay in the city!

A nice aparthotel for a reasonable price

We spent approx.12 days in Marseille. That was our base to discover the city and the surrounding Provence. It was a pleasant surprise. We did feel safe. Public transport was available for a reasonable price, giving us an easy access to downtown (Le Panier, Vieux Port, Cours Julien etc.). There's a lot to see in Marseille itself. However if you want to look around in the inner part of Provence, it is easy to do either by train or by hiring a car. Hipark is well located, close to the metro. So usually it takes up to 15-35 min to get to any parts of the city that's worth seeing.

The available kitchen is what we liked the most. Also room was fine, had fairly nice bathroom, but not the best sofa bed. It's was fine, but could be better. There was a basic choice of the breakfast, but very sufficient for our needs. The location was ok, few minutes walking to the metro station or local supermarkets. In addition there was a fitness room as well and staff was very pleasant.

Quiet hotel in centre of residential area

I booked a non smoking room. Our room had a badly stained carpet with cigarette burns. Overall cleanliness was ok. The room was cleaned twice during our 5 night stay.
Felt slightly uneasy in the area until we settled using metro etc. There are no restaurants or bars so we just used the hotel to sleep in.
Had a lovely time in Marseille, took the bus to Cassis for €4 return but wished we had stayed closer to the old port.
Transport system excellent and cheap.

This was a great 3 night stay for us. Hotel is near a huge hospital complex which would suit people needing to stay nearby. Has a laundry available too which was handy. Only downsides were that the Hotel has no wifi in rooms (this was sorely missed) and the bathroom shower head detached and flew across the room numerous times covering everything in water. Pros were that it was 5 mins walk from the tube (head to the beautiful port and get amongst the action) and the rooms have a kitchen including fridge stove and oven. Suitable for English speakers. Overall a great hotel.

It was my second stay within two weeks at the hotel: the hotel is very clean with a well equipped kitchen and internet (cable) and comes with a handy fridge/freezer and eating utensils with crockery and comfortable - the friendly reception staff allowed me an early check-in to my studio as my flight arrived very early; This time I made use of the hotel's recreation facilities (gym and sauna); my room was cleaned upon request; Helpful information - purchase 3-day ticket at any Metro station which allows you travel on the metro and bus services; buses 72 takes you to Rond Point du Prado - where the No.19 takes you to the Prado Beach/Plages; Bus No. 54 goes to Catsallane (here you can take the tram to the new harbour area) also connection to Red Metro Line...

Pros: Ideal location for my business trip to the university's medical school; situated just a few minutes walk to La Timone Metro Station (on the Blue Metro Line) with easy links to Gare St Charles; and just a few minutes walk to the university. Reception staff was very helpful upon my arrival and tried to answer most of my questions in perfect english. It situated opposite the hospital in a quiet neighbourhood; the studio was cleaned on the 4th day (as I stayed for a week) and fresh linen and towels were supplied.

Cons: there is only one minor negative - is the location from the city centre - although the hotel is situated a bit out of the tourist attraction area but there are plenty of Bus and Train links to the centre of town - i.e. Vieux Port (where the main attractions are) is on the same Metro Line (Blue) as Latimone;

The Hipark Residence is not a hotel!

The location is located about ten minutes from La Timone Metro. The area is just residential, but there are a few shops, a few supermarkets and a McD's near by. There is also a tram line that is about 20 minutes away.

The metro journey is 4 stops on the metro to Vieux Port and 6 stops to St Charles, and really easy to use.

The shower was flimsy and took getting used to.

The Hob, did not always switch off, but once reporting to the reception team this was corrected.

The reception team were fantastic and always helpful...I did not get his name, but one male member of staff went out of his way to assist with tourist information and was very helpful.

Hotel is about 12min walk to metro La Timone. 6 metro stations away from Saint-Charles station (metro-train-bus to airport). 4 stations from Vieux Port station (port & town center). Reception is okay but not friendley and smiley. Only one elevator, so wait, wait ....! Room carpet is dirty & bad odour ! A lot of group tourists, so wait, wait for check in and out, and the elevator ! Wifi only at the reception, not in the room. Supermarket Casino, cafe, snack, patisserie, boulangerie are close to metro La Timone. Marseille is older than Nice and Cannes, famous for La Bouillabaisse Soup and Soap made of pure olive oil. Do not forget to visit Les Calanques ( natural park with beautiful view of the Mediterranee ). Need minimum 3 days to visit Marseille. Better to choose another hotel closer to Vieux Port. Bon voyage !

Disappointing wifi

The staff person who checked me in couldn't have been nicer. He was incredibly kind and helpful. The female morning staff was also very helpful, but other staff were less so. I was disappointed in only having WiFi in the lobby and needing a separate log in for each device and for each 24-hour period. It got tedious. The hotel-provided computers were also very slow. The room was good, loved having a bathtub. But the carpet was pretty stained. Otherwise it was great!

Nice design but no pool

The hotelroom was fresh when we arrived but we had to nag them to clean like they had promised. They don't clean everyday, just every other day or every third day. We were greated warmly and the staff were knowledgeable about Marseille and how to get around. The hotel had no pool and the so called fitness room was ridiculous. Also, it is quite far from the beach, you first have to take the subway and then the bus to get there, but bus 83 from Vieux Port makes it worth the while as it goes all the way along the coast.

Great Hotel

Service was good and reception staff was excellent. The studio was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was well equipped with all the modern comforts such as fridge, hob, microwave oven, and kitchen utensils and crockery. Best was the air-conditioned room, especially during the very hot summer - just perfect. Internet connection was fast and reliable. The location was not too far from the tube station La Timone - but there is an very well stocked supermarket - known as 'Casino' just opposite the station. Only negative - there was no tea-towels provided.

Shell of a hotel

Hipark looks great, but in reality it is just a shell of a hotel. They are acting as a cross between a hotel and an extended stay type place, but haven't decided on their identity. They will nickel-and-dime you for everything. For instance, they provide dishes in the room which seems nice, and there is a sign saying you must wash them yourself or get charged - OK, no big deal, until you want soap which they want to charge you 8 euros for! There is an ironing board in the room, but no iron available. When we asked for extra towels they gave us a hard time and wanted to charge us 1 euro each. If you want shampoo its 2 euros. The beds aren't real beds and it was not comfortable. On one occasion the maid came into the room when we had the do-not-distturb sign on the door which was unnerving. The neighborhood is sketchy, but at least its only a 5 minute walk to the metro stop. On the positive side the A/C worked well and there are 2 public computers in the lobby, in addition to free wi-fi in the lobby. There is also a washer and dryer available for a fee which we used, but we had issues with the dryer not working properly. Overall the stay was only OK. We probably wouldn't stay here again even though the rates were cheap.

Dirty room, stains on the carpets and in the bed, sent to our room although our room still being cleaned, not furnished to a required state. I.e no iron but an ironing board, no tea towel, no chopping knives no wifi in the room ( wired Internet only, in a world using tablets and smart phones).

Nice hotel convenient to the metro

I traveled with a party of four. We had a nice, modern and updated unit with a queen size bed, pull-out bed, and small terrace. There was a kitchen with refrigerator in the unit which was very convenient. The bathroom was large and clean. This is a great place if you're looking for a clean, modern hotel room for a good price. It is not exactly walking distance from the Vieux Port, you'll most likely want to take the metro, but it's less than a 10 min ride in.

Wonderful hotel, good service

We had an extremely comfortable one-bedroom apartment with well-equipped kitchen facilities and a bathroom. It was stylishly furnished and had a balcony. The 24hr staff was friendly and helpful. There are supermarkets and a metro station nearby, easy access to town. The only negative thing was the boring location. There are no nice restaurants, cafés or bars nearby, only a rundown kebab snack shop.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area that is safe but about 20 minutes by metro from downtown. The metro is located 6 minutes walk from hotel and about 4 stops from the port area. Hotel is nice with spacious rooms, very quiet and very clean. The breakfast buffet is a bit overpriced but offers a decent selection. Hotel offers parking at the rate of 12 Euros per day. Rooms came with a King Size bed and double pull out sofa as well as full bathroom and small kitchen. The rooms are a bit tight and don't have balconies but are great for up to four adults to share.

Modern and quirky hotel in Marseille

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Hipark and appreciated the design of the whole place very much. We loved the glossy surfaces and touches of orange. Modern, slick and quirky. We also liked the extra accents, such as: the spare pillow in the wardrobe, the valuable safe, the water in the fridge, fresh towels and the shower gel (so nice smell). The only thing we did not enjoy was that the people who lived in the room previously probably were smokers and the whole room smelled a little funny because of this. Also, there were some black finger prints and marks on one of the walls (maybe washable white paint would be a good idea in the future). Otherwise highly recommended!

Stylish and comfortable.

PROS: Stylish apartment with the best sofa-bed I've slept on. Good shower-room and adequately equipped kitchen. The big bonus was the air conditioning and the dishwasher. For English-speakers, there are a few news channels. Other than that, all French. The music system through the TV is great though, allowing you to play songs from an online collection. The entire staff were fantastic and helpful and the hotel felt very safe and secure. CONS: No cafetiere which would have been nice, although you can buy coffee in the lobby. We didn't get our room cleaned or bins emptied in our three-day stay (meant to be cleaned once every two days) so our kitchen bin got very full since we were completely self-catering. If we'd been staying another day, we definitely would have asked. It would also have been useful to have some dishwasher tablets or dishcloths/tea towels in the kitchen. As it was we had to buy a box of tablets at the shop and hardly used any of them. OTHER: Some reviewers have said there are no shops or restaurants nearby. This is absolutely not true! The hotel is a 2-minute walk to 3 supermarkets (Lidl, Super-U and a large Casino supermarket - all reliable chains) And for dinner, the Ibis hotel 1 minute walk away has a great restaurant. TOP TIP: Avoid the metro if the weather is nice. Walk to the centre. Lots of traditional cafes/restaurants/shops en route, plus you see the real side of this beautiful city!

Park or not to park!

We spent one night at this hotel before we went to Marseille. Its far from anything that you need to see if ure spending one day in the city. But access to the core is easy by the Metro. The hotel offers parking at a surcharge but it's free to park on the street. So we left our car there and saved a 13Euros. I'd recommend that. Other than that ure average studio offered a kitchenette n free wi-fi was available too in the common areas which was good.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the hotel. It was ver clean and comfortable staying for us. The location is very close to metro station and supermarkets. You will find all basic cooking equipment in the kitchen, so we were able to cook every kind of meal. You can reach to Vieux Port (center of Marseille) in 10 min. by underrail. The staf were excellent and the room was very charming.

adequate place to stay

I had booked 2 rooms for my family, and when we checked in with myself, husband and 3 kids, the kids were at the other end of the hotel up a separate elevator that required a key card and they couldn't get us in the same area of the hotel. The TV in the kids' room never worked and they couldn't get it fixed. The shower door in my room didn't seal and it flooded the entire bathroom and even though I reported it they couldn't get it fixed so each time we showered we flooded the bathroom. There was Wi-Fi which was nice. Overall the hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff was helpful, but didn't go out of their way to get our issues addressed

At this price, none better could be discovered!

Welcomed from when we emerged at the entrance with 3 big bags. Staff could not have been more obliging. Foyer was modern, cheerful and welcoming. Sauna, fitness room and dining facilities were excellent.

TV message of welcome accelerated this facility into the upper standards of hotel reception. The room was new and cabled Internet provided a speed advantage over the wi-fi available in the foyer. Quality TV channels, secure safe & excellent bathroom...

The front desk staff were so charming and coped so politely with our meagre French language skills. Bags were securely stored in foyer pending taxi.

20 mins walk to metro station

I don't really like sofa bed, otherwise it will be a very comfortable hotel. The room is big and clean. I like the small kitchen. The location is not very good but I came with a car so that's fine for me. 12 euro to park overnight in the hotel car park.

OK for a Stopover

We needed a place to stay before driving someplace else, and it was fine for that purpose. If we had wanted to visit Marseilles though, it would have not been good choice. There is very little food besides sandwiches in the neighborhood, and nothing worth exploring. It is clean, and the suites are nice. However, some do only have a pullout couch for a bed, and we had a handicap room and water from the shower ended up all over the bathroom. The view from the balcony rooms, though, it very nice, and we had a lovely breakfast out there.

The staff was attentive to my needs, cordial and helpful. Since I was not planning on being at the facility much but out and about it was more than adequate. Great value for the price. Should I visit Marseille again I would definitely stay here again and would recommend others do so also.

Good Hotel's facilities with good prices.

This is a very good hotel. I got a studio room with cooking facilities/microwave and plates and cutlery.I got a sofa/bed but a very good one. I understand that the room is for residents as well. The toilet/bathroom was clean and everything worked in the room. I got the backward view which wasn't bad and during night it was very quiet. The hotel is located in the residence/hospital area but there are very good transport link. The metro station is a walking distance. I paid a very good price for 3 nights included breakfast. There are two supermarkets in front of the metro station if you decide not pay for breakfast. The breakfast feed you but after few day you feel bored with the options. I always have my breakfast early morning but on Sunday after nine it was a mess. the staff were helpful when I need them. It is a shame that the wifi is only in the reception area. The gym has four machines but who need gym in the hot/beach Marseille. The sauna facilities is good but again I didn't have time to use it. I did walk back late night but didn't feel unsafe. There are two more hotels around so you can meet other tourists. I enjoyed my holiday in Marseilles. Next year I will be back. I like to experience other hotels but if I don't find nothing better I would be back to HiPark Hotel. The calanques experience were amazing. Unforgettable

OK, but...

Recently stayed in a suite in Hipark Marseille for 10 nights. The room and the facilities were nice for the price, but probably wouldn't stay there again. The neighbourhood around the hotel is absolutely uncharming and no nearby restaurant or cafe in sight. Furthermore the hotel has a bit strange policy on cleaning - the longer you stay, which should be in the hotel interest, the worse you get serviced. As mentioned I stayed for 10 nights and had my room cleaned and towels changed once!

The hotel staff was excellent helpful and great. Have a computer to use in the lobby which was extremely helpful. They only clean the room every other day which was a change but okay. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. It is not really close to much, hospital and there is a metro a few min. walk away, but this is more in the residential area of the city.

Great hotel in inconvenient location

The hotel itself was great - the only complaint I had was that the internet was wired only - I had to sit in the lobby to use wireless internet. It's only a short walk from a metro station, but otherwise the neighborhood is pretty empty. There are a few take-out eateries within a 10-min walk but we couldn't find any restaurants. If you just need a spot to stay & don't mind not being near the sites/attractions, this hotel is great. Or, if you're looking for an extended-stay hotel it's also great since it has a kitchenette & plenty of space in the room.

Hotel with excellent value for money

Room with comfortable sofa bed, good cleaning when we arrived, quiet, three subway stops from the Old Port (few minutes walk from the metro Timone), great breakfast. Friendly staff with the possibility of using the Internet for free. The only flaw is that they did not clean the room during our stay and the staff did not know English well. We would go back if I went back to Marseille.

Comfortable, but not very convenient for tourists

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to visit Marseille. It was our first trip, but booked on relatively short notice. We booked our stay at the Hipark Residence Hotel.

The hotel staff is very good. They are extremely helpful and very friendly. Because of their help, it made our stay that much better. ** PROPS TO FANNY AT THE FRONT DESK **

The room was a mixed bag. Our room was a small 1 bedroom/studio with a small kitchen. The decor was quite modern and seemingly quite new. The bath/shower was hot and comfortable. The disappointment was around cleaning. The walls near the sofa were scuffed with boot marks, there was debris on the carpet. There is Internet (hard wire) in the room, but wifi access is limited to the lobby with daily user IDs and passwords (not very convenient).

We had come to visit Marseille as tourists. The hotel is out of the downtown section. It's about a 10-15 min walk to get to the view port. There is a metro station nearby and a taxi stand across the street. Getting any where in town seem to always be 15-20€ by taxi. There is onsite (underground) secure parking if needed.

For the price, we found the hotel comfortable. Obviously, the location can not be changed, but a few small improvements would have made our stay that much better.

In summary, a comfortable and modern hotel that is a bit removed from the tourist spots.

quite a good hotel. depends how u are travelling. we had a rental car which was quite easy getting to the hotel and to the places we needed to visit.

quite convenient having a small kitchen in the room. but we didnt manage to find a supermarket close by. we had to buy goods a bit far away (again thanks to our rented car)...

would definately go there agin since it was a nice experience :)

Not half bad

Location: A ways away from the old port (the cool part of the city), though easily accessed by Metro. I should also mention that there isnt a very good sign on the building and it took us an hour to find it once we got off the metro as a consequence. Helpful hint: it is right next to the Seasons Hotel.

The Room: Very clean, great bath tub, and i loved having a kitchen. The space was quite confined but didnt bother us. There is internet access but you need an ethernet cord so only one person can surf at a time (and only one computer can be hooked up to it.)

The Hotel: There is a small gym with a treadmill, a bicycle, and a rower that we couldnt get to work. They serve breakfast for 14 EUR. And the staff all seem to speak English. The hotel also offers a lot of other services such as spa trips, bicycle rentals, tour booking and much more.

Great place to stay!
