Good location

Good location - near tram / bus stops and just across the street from the Fuggerei. There are also a grocery store and plenty of food options nearby.

Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Be prepared to walk up the stairs, there is no elevator (however, this was not a deterrent for our group)

If I stay in Augsburg again, I will stay at the Jakoberhof.

Overall, it was not bad. The streets were a bit noisy much of the night, but eventually quieted down. Since it was pretty hot, the fan and open windows were nice. Also, it was great to have onsite parking. Right across from Fuggerai.

Nice little hotel - imagine a university dorm, and you’ll get a feel for it. It’s not a traditional type of hotel, the rooms are in a separate building. Perfectly comfy though - good shower, good heater, bed ok. I had to ask for extra blanket and I wish I had had an extra pillow. I also wish there had been water or a kettle or something in the room. There was shampoo and shower gel combined, but that’s it. Hair dryer too, but no tissues.

Didn’t try breakfast. Communications were ok - they tried to be helpful with bus and tram info from Train station but they only gave me a part of the puzzle. In the end it’s not far, it’s 20 min in foot. If you want to take a bus it’s the 23 from the street to the left of the station (where Radastation is). Don’t go into Banhofstrassa, as the bus and trams there won’t take you to the hotel, which is on Fuggerei stop. You can get to Radaplatz and take the tram line 1, but for 3 euros you may prefer to walk. I was told taxi would have been 6 euros.

The hotel is 3 min walk to Rathausplatz and there are lots of places to eat nearby.

Anyway, for £55 a night it was fine. Don’t let your first impressions cloud your judgement.

The hotel is comprised of 3 separate buildings. Our room seemed a little expensive for basic facilities. No lift to upper floors in the building we were in. Breakfast was available at additional cost but we did not sample it so cannot comment further. On a positive note, the room was clean and serviced daily. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom lacked a shower curtain though.

The hotel is made up of three buildings, some of which may be converted apartments. I had a room in the attic of a 4 floor building like this with a tough climb up the stairs. Room was basic but clean. Pity the bed struts broke twice and that the window on to the street could only be fully opened, not 'cracked' to let air circulate. No a.c. but a fan was provided. Shower is over the bath but with no curtain or screen the water flooded the floor and needed a couple of towels to mop up after use.

Very close to Fuggerei and bus/tram stops and within good walking distance of the old town and other historical sights. Some shops nearby.

This hotel is pretty good value, it's close to town, but not in the city center. The breakfast offer was very basic so we walked to a coffee shop on our way to the train station. The beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. The hotel is right next to a busy street with a tram on it but we didn't find our too loud.

This hotel is made up of 3 buildings about 4 blocks from the city center. They have free parking, so you can leave your car while visiting Augsburg. There is no elevator. Breakfast included hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, breafs, pastries, jams, very nice.

Would improve night's stay if they had decent linens. When I come to Germany once a year, I enjoy the true feather beds. Pillow's were lumpy foam.

The standard of the hotel and the room was just about right for a 3 star place. Staff are very helpful and great to chat with, and the location is pretty good, most places of interest are within a walking distance. On the negative side, our room on the 3rd floor had a weak wi-fi signal, and there was no lift, so getting the suitcases up the stairs was tough. Overall though, I would recommend this place for a short stay.

So.......noisy!!

In fact the hotel is not that bad. The staff are friendly, helpful, room is OK & simple, location is great just 3 mins away from the town center and we've got the most powerful shower in bathroom, and the room rate is quite reasonable among all town/city during my 1 week journey in Germany. But our room situates onto a busy road & just 1 meter next to the tram rail and the tram line run 5.30am - 12.30pm it made us awake at 5.30am everyday and this was unbearable. TRY TO AVOID A ROOM FACING TO THE MAIN ROAD!

Great Place to stay

The room was clean and comfortable, just a little small. Staff was excellent and spoke great English.Free Wifi and No elevator but location is great. Grocery store right around the corner, several restaurants just minutes away and only about a 5 min walk to town center and tourist information office. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff is great, very helpful and friendly. While the hotel itself is clean, the area around the hotel is not that great. There were generally people just hanging around the hotel, even in the parking lot. Wifi was so erratic as to be not useable.

Parking problems

Cost effective stay, not too far from Munich, but arrive early if you expect to be able to park: there are only ten spaces available. Likewise, do not park too far from the entrance or you will find yourself boxed in the next morning, which is no good at all if you want an early departure. Augsburg itself appears to be very tight on parking, with most streets dug up for modernisation. The hotel is actually made up of three separate buildings facing each other around the extremely small car park. Two supermarkets opposite used by the local winos for cheap booze. Excellent breakfast at hotel for 5 Euros, but you may have to contend with very large and very hungry contract builder guests who have no shame in grabbing all the bread, cheese, ham and other tasty provisions despite other guests. Nevertheless, very polite and obliging reception, management and staff.

Hotel Jakoberhof

We went to Augsburg and stayed in this hotel to see the Christmas markets. The hotel was lovely, although slightly annoying as we had a large party and the hotel is split into different buildings, so we were all over the place. It is a short walk from the town centre (which really is beautiful) but there is a tram stop right outside the hotel which takes you to the Rathausplatz (where the Christmas markets were). We also too a train to Munich. They are very regular and fast, and you can walk to the train station, or change trams and get there pretty quickly. The breakfast was simple, but all very nice. The staff were very friendly and happy to give you help for anything, especially how to get to places. Everyone speaks fabulous English (we were disappointed that we didn't get much of a chance to practice our German!) All in all, a lovely holiday and would definitely go there again!

We have stayed here twice, once last year (Aug 2010) and again this year (June 2011) and both times my only major complaint is that there were roadworks taking place right outside our window (begining at 6.30am every morning) on both visits. We therefore slept very badly for a week (despite using earplugs) and when we tried to complain, no offer to move rooms was made. I would stay here again as the rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and the location of the hotel very convenient to central Augsburg - hopefully there will be no mini diggers at work outside our bedroom window the next time!

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, dafür beste Lage.

Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Aber die Zimmer sind sauber und groß. Leider fühlten sich die Matratzen durchgelegen an. Die Fenster zur Straße sind nicht sonderlich schalldicht, dafür gibt es an der Rezeption Ohrstöpsel gratis. Das Bad war sauber aber halt auch schon etwas älter. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, da wird jeder satt, lediglich der Kaffeeautomat ist sehr laut, was wir etwas als störend empfanden.
Die Lage ist hervorragend um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Ich muss ehrlich zugeben, einige negative Bewertungen verstehe ich nicht.
Wenn man nicht das Ritz-Carlton bucht, kann man weder den Service noch die Ausstattung erwarten.
Wir waren vom 02.12.-09.12 im Jakoberhof. Das Check-In verlief ohne Probleme. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück war gut, mehr als vier Sorten Wurst, zwei Sorten Käse nutze ich morgens auch nicht. Dazu kommen noch diverse Marmeladen, Müsli, Joghurt, Obst etc. – was will man mehr?
Das Hotel liegt super zentral, die Fuggerei ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt und zum Dom braucht man zu Fuß gerade mal 20-25 Minuten.

Während einer Wochenend-Ausbildung verbrachte ich 2 Nächte in einem Einzelzimmer im Jakoberhof. Einfache Einrichtung, aber sauber, feste Matratze, kleiner Balkon. Kleiner runder Tisch, zum Arbeiten wäre ein eckiger besser gewesen. Freundliches Personal. Preis-Leistung absolut okay.

Venligt, smilende og informerende personale. God renlighed og fine store værelser. Placering perfekt ift. seværdigheder i Augsburg (bl.a. nabo til Fuggerei). Der serveres en fin og mættende morgenmadsplatte som substitut for buffet under COVID-19.
Komforten og dog ikke alverdens værd. Stenhårde senge der knirker og brager bare man tænker på at bevæge sig i dem.

Empfehlenswert für Städtetrip

Hotel liegt supernah zur Innenstadt, Ausstattung ist gut, Verkehr und Straßenbahn belästigen nur geringfügig. Zimmer ist in gutem Zustand, Bad (nur Badewanne ohne Duschvorhang) war dauernd unter Wasser, da nützte auch die vorgezogene Wand nichts.
Frühstück sehr beengt, gut sortiert aber: dauernd war etwas aus, teilweise nur verzögert wieder aufgefüllt. Kaffeemaschinen sehr eigenwillig, Personal hatte es nicht im Griff.

Unser Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Einrichtung ist schlicht und funktional. Wer eine Unterkunft lediglich zum Übernachten und Duschen sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet enthält alles, was man für einen guten Start braucht.

Wir waren schön öfters im Hotel Jakober Hof. Es liegt sehr zentral, dafür gibt es nur wenige (kostenpflichtige) Parkplätze. Es war immer sauber und das Personal war stets freundlich. Das Hotel bietet keinen großen Luxus, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

Hotel bem localizado, com estacionamento do mesmo em frente, contudo pago. Café da manhã razoável. O que me deixou muito desconfortável é o calor dentro do quarto. Não possui ar condicionado, por isso deveria disponibilizar ventilador. Outro fator importante é que não existe frigobar. Bom atendimento.

Avons passé une mauvaise nuit dans cet hôtel. Nous avions demandé une chambre au calme, en étage et nous avons eu une chambre dans le bâtiment d'en face en bordure de route. Aucune insonorisation. Clients bruyants et bruits des véhicules.
Par contre, personnel accueillant et agréable. Petit déjeuner correct.

Einfaches Hotel Nähe Stadtzentrum

Das Zimmer und das Frühstück waren ok und dem Preis angemessen. Besonderen Komfort gab es nicht. Die Lage des Hotels und Anbindung an ÖPNV waren sehr gut.

wIR WÄHLTEN DAS Hotel ALS Zwischenstopp für unsere Fahrt in die Sächsische Schweiz. Wir werden das Hotel gerne wieder wählen, wenn wir in Augsburg übernachten müssen.

Sauberes Hotel in Multikultiviertel nahe Fuggerei

Personal ist sehr nett und bemüht. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag liebevoll gereinigt. Die Zimmer sind auch für Montagearbeiter geeignet.

Ein Punkt den ich nicht verstehe ist der fehlende Duschvorhang im Bad. Man muss sich sitzend abduschen und das Bad ist danach geflutet.

Ansonsten für den Preis durchaus zu empfehlen

für Übernachtungen während eines Kongresses ausreichend. Laute Umgebung trotz Innenhofzimmer, da dieser offen zu zwei parallel laufenden Straßen mit Straßenbahn, Frühstücksbuffet sehr spartanisch, vorher mit Datum abgefragte Frühstückszeiten wurden nicht eingehalten, weil bei der Antwort nicht beachtet worden war, dass ein Feiertag dabei ist. Türschlossgeräusche sehr laut. insgesamt hellhörig,
Vorhandener Parkplatz klein und verwinkelt, Jonglieren oder zugeparkt werden möglich

Sem elevador!!!

Pena não ter elevador! Ficamos no 4º andar, com mala sem generosas, o que foi um ponto negativo. Mas o atendimento é excelente, localizado próximo às principais atrações da cidade.
